We did spent three nights at the Plaza on a New Year's Eve package and have really been satisfied.
I'd give 5 stars to the room, the pool, the two restaurants as well as the gym and the spa. Conveniently located a few minutes taxi ride to Malioboro and a few minutes walk/beciak to shopping malls.
Staff is competent and professional. Rooms are perfectly clean, comfortable and fully serviced.
Breakfast is sumptuous, buffet style all you can eat and all you can have. A-la-carte restaurants too, there's a great Indonesian and westerners choice of food at a reasonable price. Nearby "warungs" also could be a good budget chioce. An internal travel agency can organise convenient trips to Borobudur (about 1-1,5hrs drive away) and/ or Prambanan (30min away). We'd certainly recommend this hotel.
