The organizers of  Xacobeo 2010 have just announced that Placebo will take part on this year’s programme giving a free concert in Lugo on the 8th of October. The gig will be at the Praza Horta do Seminario at 22:30h

Los tickets estarán a la venta mañana día 10 de agosto y estará disponible en  www.ticketmaster.es

La primera fecha de Placebo en Mallorca programada el 20 de julio y tuvo que ser cancelada debido a serios problemas  con el transporte marítimo, las entradas que fueron comprados para el concierto original son válidas para la nueva fecha.

PLACEBO’S original Mallorca show scheduled on July 20th had to be canceled due to severe complications with the sea transportation, tickets that were bought for the original show are valid for the new date!

Placebo anuncian un concierto especial en Londres para celebrar el lanzamiento de la edición Redux de ‘Battle for the Sun’. Tendrá lugar el próximo lunes 27 de septiembre en el O2 Brixton Academy de Londres.

Placebo announce an special show in London to celebrate the realease of ‘Battle for the Sun’ Redux Edition album. It will take place next Monday September 27th 2010 at London O2 Brixton Academy.

Gira Española de Placebo : Spanish Placebo Tour 2010

La gira española de Placebo la pasada semana por distintas ciudades de España no ha pasado desapercibida para los diferentes medios españoles tanto generalistas como la prensa especializada. Pese al problema logístico que produjo la cancelación del concierto de Mallorca, la gira ha tenido una buena acogida no sólo por los seguidores de la banda sino también en la prensa española. Son muchos los medios que podéis consultar pero desde bionic-club os hemos querido seleccionar algunos enlaces para que podáis ver el eco de la gira de Battle for the Sun en España.

Os dejamos la reseña que hizo el diario la Voz de Asturias sobre el concierto de Gijón así como la del Norte de Castilla sobre el concierto de Valladolid. También, para el Norte de Castilla, Stefan ofreció una entrevista con el titular “Doblamos la edad a la mayor parte de nuestro publico” en la que cita el trabajo que realizamos desde bionic-club.  Estamos muy agradecidos a Stefan por esta mención.

En cuanto al concierto de Córdoba podemos leer en el diario de Córdoba su visión del concierto.

El festival Low Cost en Benidorm ha tenido un gran éxito en esta edición y ha tenido gran repercusión en los medios de prensa. Podemos ver un vídeo de la actuación de Placebo (fragmentos de Nancy Boy y Ashtray Heart) en esta página de RTVE en la que repasan la jornada del Low Cost en la que actuó Placebo. El diario Público realizó esta entrevista a Brian y a Stefan momentos antes de su actuación en este festival.

Placebo’s Spanish tour, that took place last week in some Spanish cities, hasn’t gone unnoticed to the different Spanish media. In spite of the logistics problems that ended up cancelling Mallorca’s show, the tour has had a good warm reception not only from the audience but also from the media. We have selected for you, from bionic-club, some links so you can see the effect of the Battle for the Sun tour in Spain.

There is a review that the newspaper ‘La Voz de Asturias’ published about Gijón’s show, as well as ‘El Norte de Castilla’ did with Valladolid’s show. There is also in ‘El Norte de Castilla’ an interview Stefan did titled ‘We double in age to the most of our audience’, in which he mentions the work we do in Bionic-club, something we really appreciate and thank Stefan for.

About Córdoba’s show there is a review in ‘El Diario de Córdoba’ about it.

Benidorm’s Low Cost Festival was a big success this year and has been in all kind of media. There is a video of Placebo’s show (part of Nancy Boy and part of Ashtray Heart) in the RTVE web site where they review the day of the festival Placebo was in. ‘Público’ newspaper published this interview to Brian and Stefan moments before going on stage.

Due to severe complications with the sea transportation of PLACEBO’s equipment from the Spanish mainland to Mallorca, the band have been forced to cancel their appearance at Parc de N’Hereveta. Spanish newspaper ABC announces in this article that this cancelation is due to that the band’s equipment cannot board in Valencia because of an overbooking issue responsability of Acciona Company ship.

PLACEBO are very disappointed not to be performing tonight and would like to offer their sincere apologies to all fans who have bought tickets for the show.

Don’t miss the video of the performance that Brian Molko gave last Saturday at the I ♥ EU event, in which he performed ‘All Across The Universe‘ (The Beatles) y ‘Ne Me Quitte Pas’  (Jacques Brel) alongside the Belgian orchestra Prova Symphonica, conducted by Michel Bisceglia. Brian Molko comes back to his home town to perform two songs alongside the Belgian orchestra Prova Symphonica, conducted by Michel Bisceglia, at the I ♥ EU event.

This event is for free, Brian will be one of many artists who will take part in the spectacle marking the launch of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Brussels on Saturday, 3 July, on the Esplanade of the European Parliament and in the Place du Luxembourg.
