When she sang for The Curfew, Hollis Henry’s face was known worldwide. She still runs into people who remember the poster. Unfortunately, in the post-crash economy, cult memorabilia doesn’t pay the rent, and right now she’s a journalist in need of a job. The last person she wants to work for is Hubertus Bigend, twisted genius of global marketing; but there’s no way to tell an entity like Bigend that you want nothing more to do with him. That simply brings you more firmly to his attention.

The culture of the military has trickled down to the street–Bigend knows that, and he’ll fnd a way to take a cut. What surprises him though is that someone else seems to be on top of that situation in a way that Bigend associates only with himself. Bigend loves staring into the abyss of the global market; he’s just not used to it staring back.

The game takes place during the year 2027, 25 years before Deus Ex. Nanotechnological augmentations have yet to be developed and biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art. The main character, Adam Jensen, is a private security officer with a company that specializes in these augmentations. He witnesses a chilling attack on his company, and “the conspiracy begins. (…) Five metropolises are included and Detroit, Shanghai and Montreal have been confirmed. In addition, the protagonist will have his own apartment where he may store his secrets and collected information. (…) The trailer ends with “More to come at E3 2010″, which indicates that the game will be shown at E3 2010.

Jeans, arcades, motorbikes on voltage gridlines – this was The Matrix back in the eighties, when Disney did cyberpunk right. (With Surrogates, they did harm.) Fashionista design orgies, lightning and style over substance – this is The Matrix after the visual department guys can’t outdo themselves. augmented sculpture is an art installation that combines three-dimensional sculpture and 2-D projections by lichtfront and grosse8. the project was recently presented at imm cologne 2010 where viewers could see the piece in action. the project consists of an abstract geometric form that is spiky and jagged all over.
