The Valley of Flowers by Monsoon Films is the story about an ablazing love that is threadend by fate, and the lovers are so addicted that they discard any other values or love for others.

As the protagonists love mount in intensity and they build a world of their own, they stop heed the world around them and venture from the theft of material objects to stealing energy, luck and even the powers of levitation, just to overcome fate and retain their love. But life always reserves surprises and the story points out that fate is not negotiable and life demands his balance.

The essence of this movie is not easy to grasp and the plot not easy to follow. But for those, open to concepts like the double-edged power of love and fate will find beautiful perspectives on life, balance, death, mortality and the beauty of the himalaya.

The movie is available on Youtube, but regarding the amazing images one should enjoy this on DVD or in Cinema.

Humans love the thought of a future where we live in love, peace and harmony. So artists and writers have created many future ideals called utopias and most of us have our own utopia, where all will be fine. But isn’t this an illusion?

Eckhart Tolle adresses the problem of utopias in his “New Earth”:

“All utopian visions have this in common: the mental projection of a future time when all will be well, we will be saved, there will be peace and harmony and the end of our problems. There have been many such utopian visions. Some ended in disappointment, others in disaster.
At the core of all utopian visions lies one of the main dysfunctions of our consciousness: looking to the future for salvation. The only existence the future actually has is as a thought form in your mind, so when you look to the future for salvation, you are unconsciously looking to your own mind for salvation. You are trapped in your ego.”

Utopia, on Flickr by LucaPicciau

So don’t stop dreaming and visioning. It’s a power that drives humanity. But let us be aware, that our own utopia can only be found right now, in this moment, rather than in the future.

[As a well-educated member of a prosperous society] you are not very well-acquainted with failure.
You might be driven by a fear of failure quite as much as a desire for success.
Indeed, your conception of failure might not be too far from the [less priviledged] person’s idea of success.
So why [should we think] about the benefits of failure? Simply because:
Failure means a stripping away of the inessential.
[In failure] I stopped pretending to myself that I was anything other than what I was, and began to direct all my energy into finishing the only work that mattered to me. Had I really succeeded at anything else, I might never have found the determination to succeed in the one arena I believed I truly belonged.
I was set free, because my greatest fear had been realised, and I was still alive,
and I still had a daughter whom I adored, and I had an old typewriter and a big idea. And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.
You might never fail on the scale I did, but some failure in life is inevitable.
It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all – in which case, you fail by default.
The knowledge that you have emerged wiser and stronger from setbacks means that you are, ever after, secure in your ability to survive. You will never truly know yourself, or the strength of your relationships, until both have been tested by adversity. Such knowledge is a true gift, for all that it is painfully won, and it has been worth more than any qualification I ever earned.
So given a Time Turner, I would tell my 21-year-old self that
Personal happiness lies in knowing that life is not a check-list of acquisition or achievement.
Your qualifications, your CV, are not your life, though you will meet many people of my age and older who confuse the two. Life is difficult, and complicated, and beyond anyone’s total control, and the humility to know that will enable you to survive its vicissitudes.
