December is the happiest month for me not because of the lights and the colorful decorations, Christmas and New Year is coming. Almost everybody is decorating their houses with Christmas decors, making shopping list for their gift giving. My Christmas will not be as fun without the colorful decorations.

Office Space in a Bedroom

I am an independent contractor in oDesk. I have been doing work from home since November last year. I have decided to have a small office space in the bedroom. Dharic will be joining me in this type of work so a bigger table was needed.

My eldest brother was also celebrating his birthday but I can't be with my family because I'm far away from home. I was happy I was able to spend his birthday on a friend's birthday - I still get to eat. :)

Xperia Mini

I always like to have a smartphone so I will be able to check my emails anywhere and anytime. I was thinking of buying HTC Wildfire because it is cheap compared to other smartphones. Good thing another option was placed on the table.

Xperia Mini has an Android 2.3 platform and a 5 MP camera. I like it because it is compact and stylish. For a non-expensive phone the speed is 1GHz which is very awesome.

I decided to get one and so far so good. I have all the things I need on that phone and it is very fast compared to other smartphones my friends own. I got it from Sony Ericsson in Mall of Asia for only Php11,500 ($262.16).

I went to Mall of Asia to meet my friends from Cebu. It took them sometime to get there because the flight got delayed and they can't find the hotel where they will be going to stay. It made them decide to stay to a different hotel, where they stayed in the past visits to Metro Manila.

Our plans were to play bowling and have dinner, the bowling part was not done because they were already exhausted and hungry when they got to Mall of Asia. We decided to meet-up in Dampa, MOA to have dinner right away, apparently the two were not able to eat during lunchtime.

Contagion Movie

Last Saturday, we watched "Contagion" in Alabang Town Center. The movie was realistically scary. I thought it was predictable but it wasn't. It showed how easily anyone can get the virus. Nobody can say if one is immune. I think viruses can end the human race.

Church: Police block Beijing Easter service

Beijing (CNN) -- The site of a planned outdoor Easter service at one of China's largest independent "house" churches was eerily silent Sunday as police blocked more than 500 worshippers from leaving their homes and detained more than 36 for attempting to attend religious services in Beijing, church officials said.

The gathering place for worshippers was empty as church-like bells sounded in northwest Beijing. Hundreds of uniformed and plain-clothed police officers swarmed the site of Shouwang Church and prevented CNN journalists from accessing the area.

Authorities confiscated credentials from CNN crew members and detained them for half an hour.

Worshippers spent several months preparing for the Easter service, according to members who spoke with CNN. Police on the scene told CNN they were stationed there for "security reasons."

Shouwang Church's senior pastor Jin Tianming is currently under house arrest by the authorities.

"More police have come to stand watch in front of my door in anticipation of Easter," Jin told CNN in a phone interview. "I've spoken to several of my fellow worshippers who attempted to attend our planned service this morning," but some were detained, Jin said.

"But we will not change our plans. We will not change our decision to worship as this is a matter of faith," Jin said.

A few worshippers were seen praying with bowed heads near Shouwang's proposed site for the service, but the site itself was sealed off by law enforcement. Vigilant plainclothes officers filmed passersby.

Shouwang means "to keep watch" in Mandarin.

Usually hundreds of worshippers gather at this illegal "house" -- or unofficial -- church, which is one of the largest Christian gathering places in the country. Shouwang Church is an unregistered Christian group that was forced outdoors after authorities blocked the rental of its previous office space in November, the church said. It has not been able to obtain a new location since.

"This is the worst time in terms of religious freedom across the board in two decades," said Bob Fu, a former independent church pastor and founder of the non-governmental organization China Aid. Fu has been speaking with Shouwang worshippers unable to attend the service.

"[Worshippers] are not a threat to stability, not a threat to society, and not a threat to China's harmonious society," Fu said. "By cracking down on these hundreds of thousands of worshippers, it will only create the opposite effect. To the churches, I would encourage them to stand firm."

Over the past month, more than 200 Shouwang churchgoers have been arrested and detained, according to the church. The leaders of the church remain under house arrest amid a wider government crackdown on dissidents throughout China over the past three months. Calls to local police regarding their exact violations went unreturned.

Shouwang Church representatives had vowed to defy Communist government mandates to cancel outdoor public services on Easter Sunday. According to a notice from the Governing Committee of Shouwang Church on Saturday evening, the outdoor worship service location would remain the same despite pressure from authorities.

On Shouwang's Google Buzz page, Jin warned that police would likely detain those gathering at a set meeting site but that it was important that members stood up for their faith.

"Each believer may act in accordance to his or her own faith, whether to be taken away quietly (by police) or to meet in a nearby location," the statement read.

The number of practicing Christians in China is disputed. Recent official data states there are approximately 15 million Protestants and five million Catholics worshipping at official churches in China, but unofficial estimates are as high as 130 million.

Authorities have cracked down hard on dissidents, activists and rights lawyers since anonymous Internet calls emerged in February for regular "Jasmine" protests. Prominent artist Ai Weiwei has been detained for approximately three weeks by police.

Sunday's worship ban came just days before an annual human rights dialogue between U.S. and Chinese diplomats scheduled for later this week in Beijing.

Ma Famille

It had been roughly 5 years since I left home. I never expected that I could be away from home for a long time.

March 18 2011, 6:50 AM – was my flight schedule.

Dharic was with me because I am afraid of heights and planes just scare me too much.

At 7:00 AM, we arrived in Zamboanga city. This will be Dharic’s first time in Mindanao.

Many things changed. I thought my two brothers were still babies but what I saw was two young adults. My mother gained some weight and grew her hair longer. My Dad doesn’t color his hair anymore. My eldest brother’s daughter just graduated pre-school. They have a new house with 3 rooms. They have so many chickens and turkeys in the vacant lot.

My parents’ room has air conditioning but the rest don’t. It was better to stay in the hotel so we can relax and enjoy.

Satti is in my “I Miss This So Bad” list.

What I missed the most was my family…

After our awesome anniversary, it was time for us to celebrate Dharic’s 24th birthday- Feb. 15, 2011.
A few months back I was really anxious on what to do on his birthday. I tried searching online and finally found Groupcard.com. I thought it was better for another important people in his life to sign the card for it to be special rather than just me signing it.

Scammers Plot

I started doing home-based work last year. It was hard to break into the market especially when you do not have any experience doing home-based job and zero rating. December last year I got my first official job.

All I got to do was to post articles to Wordpress. The articles were provided by the employer. I wasn't after the money because he was just paying me a dollar for every 50 articles posted. I was after the employer's nice comments and the perfect rating which is very important for me to break into the market. I was so happy because he was my first repeat-employer. He keeps on giving me similar jobs which means he was very satisfied with my work.

After a while I got my second job which was to upload images to flicker and edit HTML. It was my first per hour online job. If I am not mistaken he was paying me $1.69 per hour. I also got my third employer and the job that was offered to me was very time consuming. Again I wasn't after the money but I was after the comments and the ratings. My third employer was happy since he was my 2nd repeat-employer.

I have enough confidence to break into the per hour job because of my 5 star ratings and praising comments about my work.I applied to several employers but none seems to message me.

It was January when I started getting messages from employers. There were two who wants to make an interview. One of the two employers was a SCAMMER. The other employer is still my employer right now and he is awesome.

The SCAMMER, he introduced himself as Jack Richards from Russia, gave me a (Click on the job description to view) job description. It was an easy money but the way they sell you the job it was very convincing. He also told me that he will interview me through Skype (Transcript 1, Transcript 2 My last name, email, and my Skype contacts was deleted for privacy). The interview was done thru chat. I am not sure if Jack Richards is man or woman. He did explain that the company he is working for is a Software Developing Company (Contractors) and eBay selling. Software developing is a very lucrative business, so I was sure that he was not a scammer. He also told me that I need to send him a gov’t IDs and a digital signature and so I did. I am afraid that he will use it to create an account under my name.

One morning when I opened my email I was shocked that someone transferred a huge amount of money to my PayPal Account, $5000 for a Diamond ring. Since I cannot disclose any info from the buyer since I signed a contract from them knowing that they are a legit company. So I did my job which was to process the payment. I emailed Jack that there was a transfer and he did confirmed and acknowledged. I transferred the money to my bank account. When I got the money I sent it to Svetlana Sergeeva from Saint Petersburg which was Jack Richards personal accountant. He acknowledge that he received the money.

Friday night, the buyer disputed my PayPal account that she did not receive any item. The buyer asked the seller from eBay about the tracking number and the seller replied none but she will receive the item. Good thing there was no money there. I sent Jack two messages and he did not respond. I sent him a message in Skype but no reply. I knew what I have to do, to take legal actions. I informed the buyer that I was enraged by the the situation and they used me as an independent contractor to SCAM people. I have no direct contact with the buyer nor the seller from eBay. My direct contact was Jack Richards. I went to the National Bureau of Investigation and Informed PayPal about the situation.

Unfortunately, PayPal sided with the buyer. What if the Buyer was part of Jack Richards group who thought I have large amount in my PayPal account and wants to just get some money? I Informed PayPal that this is under investigation but they still made their decision.

I have filed a case with these people and got my NBI report number but the NBI haven’t texted me yet who is the lucky agent who will handle my case.

I have learned so many things. Do not get a job that involves money transfer to your personal account. If it sounds to good to be true, cancel the job. And be very extra careful.

My Silver Anniversary

I am now officially 25 years old. I don’t want to but nobody can stop us aging every year. Hopefully my mid 20’s won’t show physically. I think nobody wants to look old or the same as their age, everybody wants to look much younger than the years they came out from their mother’s vagina. Who cares? As long as I don’t look 25, I will be happy.

The plan for my birthday was to grab a pizza and enjoy them with friends. I never expected that more people would show up. Before the big silver day, May 14, I spent time with my colleagues/friend at Gilligan’s G5 in Makati and we watched “A Nightmare on Elm Street.” Eden was taking all the pictures and until now I haven’t seen it.

Early in the morning around 1 am, I was surprised when I got home. My unit was full of balloons. Good thing it didn’t lift the building up from the ground. I felt sleepy than surprised. D thank you for the balloons, please don’t surprise me early in the morning or else you won’t get the real “portrait of surprise”. I was faking it. Hahaha.

D gave me two books from Jessica Zafra. I gave him the idea to give me books.

Afternoon, we went to Shakey’s Pizza. This time I was really surprised. The place was reserved and there were different colorful things hanging from the ceiling, balloons are everywhere, Chocolate Fondue on the table. OMG! Turn out our reservation was just a table. There were three people who were celebrating their birthday on the same venue at the same time.

It was not a big celebration but I enjoyed the chat with the people who were celebrating it with me. And I got two Cakes!

The 3rd Month

It's our third month! :)

My mom was off to Singapore so we had the whole house to ourselves.No hovering eyes watching our every move. Except for the demon goddess herself. (you know who you are. bwahahaha.) We could cook and fool around anywhere =P

We went to Mall of Asia for the day, had my mom's laptop sent for repair. In our attempt to find more stuff for the house we window shopped through Home World, then we had dinner. We had to go somewhere where we'd be able to talk and relax. After a lot of pointing fingers on where we were to eat, Max's just happened to be near so we ended up having a nice meal and a hefty conversation there.

Massage to Distress

I am a stress magnet lately. The idea of moving to another house, the budget that needs to be spent, and all the problems that come hanging on those two. The summer heat was just so freaking hot which increased my stress level, it made me so incredibly irritated to anything that moves around.

I am/was the stress of Dharic.

I was so grateful that he kept on lifting my spirit up, but I am sorry honey It really doesn’t work on me – maybe sometimes.

What do we need to do to distress?

1. Both of us got work.

2. We got our own savings.

The solution was to get a massage.

The massage cost less than 500 pesos per person. The 500 comes with a steam bath, drinks, and the 1 hour full body massage.

I really like our picture above because we look so fresh.

Does it burn the calories when you’re inside?

This was after the 1 hour full body massage. We had our second drinks.

It was worth the 500, believe me. We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated that the chubby massage girls were given more than enough as tip. “Half their daily salary”, said Dharic

A Money’s Worth

This wasn't our first time to buy something together. We already spent a lot of time inside the grocery, hardware, department stores, etc... The air conditioning makes it perfect for us to have a very relaxing conversation.

After months of search, we finally got a new unit to stay. I signed the lease last April 30, 2010. A new home needs new things. We went to ACE Hardware to buy some important stuff: Trash cans, portable cabinet, towel holder, soap dish, etc…

I can model those humungous pail and rugs with no effort. *Smile*

This is Mr. Trash man.

To watch a movie would be great since we are in the mall. “Clash of the Titans” was fun to watch. The 3D glasses were just to big for me.

May 5, we decided to buy queen size bed.
