The radio comes on in the morning and the weather is awful and the politics are awful, and there's no hope for the future....and I, as a Virgo with the Rooster rising on the Chinese chart, I'm full of fear. This is not the world I grew up in, and this is not the world I want to live in I think. I don't want to be fearful of each new day. I am almost glad at this point that I have no grandchildren.

....and the President gives the state of the union speech, and I am calm. I am safe. This world is secure. President Obama is in his Pluto trine Pluto, when it all comes together and power of integrity is assured. My book, "Chinese Power Animals" was published when I had my Pluto trine Pluto. It's a time when it all comes to a crescendo and there's a harvest of all the trouble and toil that has gone before that has created the diamond from the carbon. It is all worth it now and we come into the pinnacle of what we've strived for our entire lives.

They say it takes 10,000 hours to be an expert. well if we give him 12 hours a day, on a daily basis, that's a little over two years. And now he's an expert, and with it comes the confidence of power.

Obama is in the FDR line of presidents in astrology, and Alf Landon was his opponent in his second bid for president....and he beat him in a landslide. Who is the energy of Alf Landon? Romney or Gingrich???

Odette Annable as Gabby Giffords

If "The Gabrielle Giffords" movie is ever done - the story of the Arizona congresswoman shot a year ago - Odette Annable, currently playing "Dr.Jessica Adams" on HOUSE, should play Gabby. I was watching her on the show thinking 'who does she look like?" and then it struck me...Gabby!

Odette is a Taurus, born May 10, 1985 in Los Angeles, and Gabby is an Aquarian, born June 8, 1970 in Tucson, Az., but Odette has a lot lighter energy than a Taurus normally has. Actually, she only has her sun sign in Taurus, two planets in Aries, and Mars in Gemini.....but an Aquarius moon! There's the tie-in!

It's Just a Game, Folks!

Kyle Williams, Wide Receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, was the focal point of fans ire after the game, when the 49ers lost to the NY Giants, who are on their way to the Super Bowl.

Williams tried to stay away from an erratic football bouncing around on the ground that nicked his knee and unfortunately for him, a Giant player saw it, grabbed the ball and headed for the goal. Fortunately for Williams, it couldn't be advanced, but didn't help the cause.

The game was then tied at 17 all, sort of taking him off the hook, and then in overtime he had the ball and a Giant grabbed his arm and the ball flew out. I'm wondering if there is some muscle in the upper arm, when grabbed a certain way, just releases the arm and one has no control over it????? Could have been the way the ball popped out.

Williams, born July 19 1988 in San Jose, California, is a late Cancer with a Virgo moon. Saturn, the taskmaster is in the wrong place at the wrong time in his chart. It's squaring his sun, going retrograde and squaring his sun again, so it's a hot spot in his chart....and it's about to conjunct his Pluto in the fall when it goes into Scorpio. His sensitive Cancerian sun is getting bombarded with harsh rhetoric and condemnation. People are criticizing and authority is not in the mind frame to be neutral. This is 'diamond making time' and he'll look back on this as a time of strengthening his character.

Let's remember that this is ultimately just a game, a period of entertainment, the rest of the team could have scored another touchdown or two and these incidents wouldn't have caused an issue. If any of those condemning him were born on his date at his time, who could have done the same thing, I'm sure they would like people to take the incidents in light of the whole scenario, and not isolate it out of context.

The mood of the country is too polarized, whether it be sports or politics or whatever. And there's too much violence on tv with people grabbing a gun to settle their issues. And so, we find two 49er fans in Georgia, I believe, who were shot because they were rooting for the Niners in that area a week or so ago.

IT'S JUST A GAME, FOLKS! In the San Francisco bay area, they have baseball caps which are split between the SF Giants and Oakland A's. John Madden said once that this is the only market who could do that....that other markets have allegiance to one team and hate the other in it. Now it seems we've lost that distinction too, with authority dressed as NY GIants fans in the stands to draw out any angry Niner fans looking to do damage. We're being polarized in this country, by the media and the political entities, and we have to fight against it.

Good game Niners! Good game Giants! Good luck in the Super Bowl....we'll see you next year!

Joe Paterno Dies - 1926-2012

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has died, just a couple of months after he was caught up in a sex scandal on his campus. Paterno was reportedly born on December 21, 1926, in Brooklyn, New York. At his birth, Pluto was at 15 of Cancer and his Venus was at 6 of Capricorn, not really in orb as an opposition but close enough that I would take it into consideration. The moon was in Cancer near Pluto, so it looks like he had a very intense, disciplined, perhaps harsh, upbringing.

Around 1973-75, when he was approaching 50, Pluto moved in to Libra and squared Venus while Chiron was moving in to it's Chiron return, 'the wounding' of a lifetime being triggered, while Pluto was visiting Venus again, setting up the same childhood energy pattern, with new 'actors in the roles' but looking at it again from an adult perspective. From a Chinese astrology point of view, it's in the victim area of the chart. Pluto stressing Venus, (which is 'you' in the chart most particularly), brought up patterns of abuse to be looked at again.

Now, at 85, just after his Uranus return, which most of us don't see, Pluto has moved to conjunct Venus, and Uranus is moving in to square it from Aries......the pattern returns. This time Uranus just stressed his late Sag sun, setting up the exposé and Uranus would have squared his Venus this year. The fact he had lung cancer would say he had deep, deep sadness and grieving over the past, when the planets ganged up on his Venus, plus the tarnishing of his long career at the end of his life, affecting his pride. It takes Pluto 247 years to go around the zodiac, so that the strongest aspects are when it conjuncts, squares or opposes our planets.

RIP Joe Paterno.

Week of Jan 22nd-29th, 2012 - Mars slowing down to retrograde right on 1966 Pluto Point

There's a new moon in Aquarius on January 22nd, and then Mercury trines Mars, plans are made to move forward and all seems well. But then Mars is slowing down to retrograde on the 24th, which is always a potent energy point, and something could explode...tempers if nothing else. Then Mercury squares Saturn on the 27th, then moves into Aquarius where it sextiles Uranus and squares Jupiter.....lots of talk ...and judgment...over what just happened.

Uranus and Pluto met up in mid Virgo in 1966 and hung out together for awhile. Now Uranus is moving in to square Pluto, Aries to Capricorn in early degrees. BUT, right now, since Mars is slowing down to retrograde on the 24th, it will trigger natal planets that are in the vicinity. It so happens that for most people born from late 1966 to 1969, the current Mars transit will be conjuncting their Pluto/Uranus conjunction which opposes Saturn/Chiron. Tempers are going to be short, and guns should be locked away. Relationships with people born in this time frame (two people born in these years) also can have Mars in the middle of U/P so it amps it up more. In these years Saturn was opposing for part of the time, so Mars opposing Saturn in this mix can cause frustration over being held back in some way, and it can cause physical injuries.....Mars is muscle and Saturn is bones, so warm up and don't over extend during this time frame if you go out to exercise.

One can see by Newt Gingrich's 'explosion' on the debate last night.... read - blow up to deflect the tax return, he, with Aries rising probably, got nicked by the energy.

Even tho Mars is at 23 degrees of Virgo and Uranus is at 1 of Aries and Pluto at 8 of Cap right now, this can trigger stuff from that 1966 period when it conjuncted the first time. The moon goes into Aries on the 27th for a couple of days and conjuncts Uranus and squares Pluto......good time to stay out of the way of anyone who's contentious.

Well, we're down to four in the Republican race for president. Whew! That helps me!. Rick Perry has Uranus square Uranus, which changed his direction; it peaked when he went back to 'assess' after new Hampshire, thought he would do it then, but I guess he was talked into one more attempt.

Newt Gingrich, with undoubtedly Aries rising, is feeling this Mars retrograde the most, but it could also be a bit calculated too.....like he didn't know a question about his 2nd wife just as she was giving an interview that day, wouldn't be top of the list at the debate. This week he should get some good news on the 23rd when sun trines his Mercury, but then things get dicey with a mixed bag of aspects. Pluto is moving in to inconjunct Venus, so patterns of the past and his unpleasant childhood should surface. Mars is in the neighborhood with Neptune, so his forward motion can become blurred.

For Mitt Romney, the Sun opposes his Saturn on the 23rd, and actually, Mars opposes his sun as it goes retrograde on the 24th, so some irritation should occur of some sort. The week ends with the Sun squaring Chiron and conjuncting Venus while Venus squares Uranus, so good news mixes with stress. Mercury opposes Saturn on the 29th, he can express harshly or it can be administered to him

Rick Santorum finds the Sun squaring Neptune while Mercury squares Mercury on the 23rd, so a 'slip of the lip can sink ships' , a gaffe could get accentuated. When Mars goes retrograde on the 24th, it squares Saturn, and inconjuncts Chiron and Mercury, so if not a heated exchange, he should be careful if he tries to get in some exercise.

Ron Paul has Mars conjuncting Venus on the 24th, but that's pretty mild. The sun squares his Uranus on the 26th which could give him ideas to go in new directions with his campaign, or at least throw in a glitch.

President Obama has Mars conjunct Mars at the retrograde....that could trigger a testy exchange. . Chiron is moving in to conjunct his Chiron, a 50 year reunion that occurs for us all at this time. Woundings from past lives continue to repeat til we resolve them.

In the United States' chart, Mars conjuncts Neptune on the 24th, forward progress is blunted and made diffuse. Mercury conjuncts Pluto on the 26th, so there's some coercive words tossed about, and Mars is around squaring itself so we'll see some backlash from the retro when it returns to 20 of Virgo.

Week of January 15th - January 22, 2012 + Political insights

Saturn nearly enters Scorpio, then retrogrades on February 7th, stirring up the last degrees of the signs. Venus goes over Neptune and Chiron, adding light to the illusion and the wounding, and Sun squares Saturn on the 19th at 29 Cap/Libra.....where there's a rash of judgement and criticism, just before the Sun enters Aquarius on the 20th. Venus sextiles Pluto on the 20th as well at 8 Pisces to Cap, bringing a little light to the onerous planet, and then the Sun sextiles Uranus on the 21st at 1 Aquarius/Aries....a sudden respite and a bright new idea can set you off in new directions. The moon goes tru Libra, Scorio, Sag, and Capricorn this week. It squares Uranus on the 20th and conjuncts Pluto on the 21st, sure to tick off the planets as they move to square in the summer time.

Political Insights:

Newt Gingrich - Newt's time of birth has some DD aspect to it, but somewhere around 2:00 am sounds good to me. It gives him an Aries rising, which is indicative of a combative nature, and quick temper. If it's around 2:00 a.m. then Uranus is still in the 12th house and Jupiter is in the first.....and his natal Mars is at the midpoint....Mars would be the ruler of his rising sign, on the ascendant and undoubtedly the trigger of his ire to go after Romney so vehmently. Newt had some luck going for him, with the Nep/Pluto Yod pointing at Jupiter, but now it's pointed at Pluto, which will produce some power struggles.

Jon Huntsman - On his solar chart, Pluto is in the 10th house of career, but as said, that doesn't often mean the pinnacle of success with the presidency. As I write this, Huntsman is getting ready to end his campaign. Saturn conjuncts the moon in the sky, and reality sets in. The faster planets aren't doing much this week, but Uranus is squaring Jupiter. Jupiter being politics, and Uranus causing a sudden change in direction. Pluto is moving in to square his sun, and Saturn inconjuncts the moon, which lends a feeling of repeated patterns and cycles from his past that are onerous and testing.

Ron Paul - Paul could keep on going for awhile. Nt til April do we see Saturn squaring Pluto and causing some recycling of stressors from the past. Saturn has squared Pluto and will retrograde back there in March and April, which kind of keeps him 'pinned down' to the level of his success, but other planetary patterns keep on going.

Rick Perry - Perry and Romney are the two Pisceans in the race. Pisceans are usually spiritual, artistic, otherworldly....they usually aren't in politics. But Saturn conjuncted Pluto in Leo in 1947 which added steel to the spine..and for them, when we put the Chinese chart over the western chart, the Bladder meridian overlaps S/P.....adding the desire for control to the 10th power. These guys are ambitious and seek the highest job to control their world as well as ours. News is better on the 18th and 19th, but there could be a slip later on on the 19th.

Mitt Romney - The Bain documentary came out last week. Nothing much was happening on the natal transits, but Saturn was still focused on squaring Mars in his progressed chart......harsh criticism affecting forward motion. Born at 9:51 A.m. it gives him a Gemini rising, which puts Neptune/Chiron in the 10th house of career....which seems like an odd placement for someone going for president, since it usually dissolves the energy where it is, but it is his planet, being born in Pisces. But, even tho we would think that Pluto should be going thru the 10th to bring the ultimate career ascension, more often that not, there isn't that much going on in the 10th house. This week, the 18th, Sun sextiles Jupiter and the Moon bringing some good poll numbers possibly. but by the end of the week Sun is moving in to oppose Saturn, bringing a reality check.

Rick Santorum - April will be a better month for Santorum as Uranus conjuncts Venus, Jupiter conjuncts the Sun on the 26th, but Pluto is squaring his Venus this year, and as Uranus and Pluto move to square in June, this will be a pressure packed year for him.

President Obama - Mars goes retro on the 24th while it's conjuncting his Mars so a flash of anger is possible. Sun conjuncts Saturn on the 16th which can see some 'slings and arrows'. Things pick up though. Pluto has been opposing his Venus for the last year, that overbearing feeling is now moving on and Uranus is squaring his Venus and trining his Mercury, so that's what has been opening him up to take the reins and stop trying to get a meeting of the minds in Congress. Uranus squares his Venus on Feb 1st, shifting his focus, and Neptune is going to trine his Venus all year long as well, and Venus is him in the chart. It's his Chiron return year which can see his 'wounding' surfacing for healing.

United States' chart - The U.S. and Obama have Venus conjunct so in the U.S. chart Uranus is going to square Venus this year too, principally Feb 13th coming up. So the focus is starting to shift. Saturn goes retrograde on Feb 7th and it squares Pluto, so some harsh rhetoric is on the horizon.

Hue Jackson Fired from Raiders

Not a good idea to 'say it like it is' right after a not so championship season with the Oakland Raiders, and new people moving in 'upstairs' to take over the management of the team. Hue Jackson, born Oct 22, 1965 in Los Angeles, found that out when he was dismissed today. .....it didn't help that Saturn was slowing down, getting ready to move in to conjunct his Libra sun, and sit there and go retrograde on February 7th.

With so many of the outlying planets being in early degrees of signs, and picking off those natal planets in late degrees, we find that Uranus in inconjuncting the sun, Jupiter is opposing it and Neptune is trining it. Which definitely indicates that things were set up for Saturn to move in and strike the final blow. Uranus inconjuncting plucks him out unceremoniously perhaps, while Jupiter and Neptune encourage him to use this opportunity to follow his truth and do what he'd like to do.

I thought Jackson was a good match for the Raiders and it's sad that he didn't get more of an opportunity to prove himself.

Week of January 7th - January 14, 2012 + Political insights

The messenger god, Mercury, is triggering one planet after another. As it finishes up in Sag, it sextiles Saturn and then Neptune on the 7th. S/N are actually in trine and Mercury is between them, so Saturn can cast approval on Neptunian activities (movies, fantasy, dreams) which it usually doesn't like to do, and perhaps give it some solid backing. Mercury moving into to the midpoint between can see a flurry of communiques that gets things going. Then Mercury enters Capricorn shortly after, and trines Jupiter on the 8th......good news! Then there's a full moon on the 8th from Cancer to Capricorn.

On the 12th, the sun in Cap trines Mars in Virgo , and Venus trines Saturn on the 13th. ......we are itchy to make progress and Saturn gives us some ballast to make it happen. Mercury isn't finished yet, as it conjuncts Pluto on the 13th...manipulation and coercion with words, saying whatever is necessary to move and mold people into thinking what Plutonian people want them to think.

Venus waltzes in at the end of the week. It conjuncts Neptune on the 13th, providing a romantic, gauzy day, and then moves into Pisces, where it makes a move and sextiles Jupiter.....between the two it's wise not to indulge....the table will be groaning with food and you'll wind up eating most of it. But it is a good day to open yourself to new venues...just resist the temptation not to look at the nitty gritty details. Then, as the week ends, it inconjuncts Uranus, so a little news you hadn't anticipated can end the week on a high note.

Political Insights:

Michele Bachmann - Michele came in 5th in the Iowa caucus and decided to step aside. An Aries, born in 1956, the Year of the Monkey, with Saturn squaring Pluto, they like to have things go their way, and smart when it doesn't. Saturn is moving in to conjunct her Neptune, so reality casting a strong beam on the illusion she projected herself on the national scene.

Newt Gingrich - Neptune is the planet of illusion, and in politics, it's 'spin' and the outer planets are playing havoc with Newt's Nep at 29 Virgo. Uranus is opposing, Saturn is quincunxing, Jupiter is inconjuncting and so is transiting Neptune to itself. Some exposing of the spin, some coming down hard on the illusion, and some shift in direction.....while Neptune wants to say "oh, the hell with it, let's go to the beach".

Jon Huntsman - Jupiter is trining his natal Jupiter which can produce some fortunate circumstances, but Sun conjuncts Saturn on the 8th, which it does every year at his time, but it doesn't bode well on the campaign trail. He got his push when Pluto trined his natal Pluto at 4 degrees Cap to Virgo, a harvest of life's efforts so far, yet now it's moving in to square his sun, and it brings up harsh attitudes from the past.

Ron Paul - Paul continues to have good stars. Pluto is trining his Mercury which provides 'swaying the masses' energy. On the 12th, Mercury trines Mercury and Uranus some sudden good news, and on the 13th the Sun trines Venus, bringing him some good vibes, but Sun opposes Pluto, a fleeting transit, but some reality sets in.

Rick Perry - When Perry stepped back after the disappointing showing in Iowa, I expected him to to leave the race, what with Uranus squaring his Uranus on the 5th.....reality sending him in new directions....but Uranus is unpredictable so it's difficult to pigeon hole its actions. However, it's sure to send him home at some point. Still worried seeing Pluto approaching a square to Mars this year.

Mitt Romney - Interesting that even his aspects aren't spectacular from week to week. But the Master Yod (Nep sextile Pluto) is pointing at Leo, and his Saturn /Pluto is there, taking over from Uranus as his 'over lord'. In 1947, when Saturn conj Pluto in Leo, it created a passel of people ! who have ambition and power deep inside. The Yod is pointing to this....will it bring him what he wants, or will Saturn taking over from uranus, rain on his parade?

Rick Santorum - Be careful what you wish for. Santorum comes out in a dead heat with Romney, but then the scrutiny gets tougher. He has a bunch of harmonious aspects this week, but Pluto inconjunts Uranus on the 14th, for everyone born around his birth, and Uranus doesn't like Pluto to sit on him....so U is likely to go off in a new direction.

President Obama - The trine from Pluto to his Pluto will be the strong aspect this year, bringing him the harvest of his life so far. It's about the only thing Pluto does well. The sun goes into his 12th house for the month on the 9th so he's going to be out of the limelight til the sun goes into Aquarius. The 14th can see his usual cool upset with Mars conjuncting Mars.

United States' chart - Pluto is still opposing Jupiter (politics) altho it's on it's way out, and still stirring up the political scene and the religious aspect. Uranus is starting to move in and take center stage.

Venus inconjuncts Mars this week on the 6th, 21 Aquarius to Virgo. A light little change in a new direction. Mars is starting to slow down and will go retrograde on the 23rd at 23 Virgo, close to inconjuncting Saturn at the time. Those two can get mean, and while not a tough aspect, be aware of critical , cryptic remarks.

Political Insights:
Michele Bachmann - There's potential for a surprise for Michele Bachman. Mercury sextiles the moon on the first, and trines Jupiter (politics) on the 2nd. It inconjuncts Mars on the 4th and trines Pluto on the 5th, and then inconjuncts Uranus on the 6th. A flurry of words flow, for and against, with a surprise by the end of the week. .
Newt Gingrich - Venus trines Saturn on the 3rd, giving him some hope, but by te 4th Mercury opposes his sun, some news that's not in his interest, and the sun squares Mars on the 5th.....he can get pugnacious over something.
Jon Huntsman - Nothing untoward on his aspects for the week. Sun sextiles Mercury, venus opposes Uranus and the Sun sextiles Venus on the 3rd, while Mercury sextiles Mars on the 4th and squares the moon on the 5th. On the larger plance, Pluto is squaring his sun which indicates a 'growing' period where he's tested.
Ron Paul - The week starts stressful, but there could be good news by the end of the week with Mercury trining his sun, and the Sun sextiling his Jupiter. .

Crocodile Tears???

Newt Gingrich broke into tears yesterday on the campaign trail for president. Crocodile tears? Newt is an air sign Gemini, June 17, 1943 in Harrisburg, Pa. with no planets in water signs except Jupiter....none of his personal, fast moving planets are in water. Water signs - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces - usually have a tear on the brink of expression most of the time.

.....witness Scorpio John Boehner. Scorpio Hillary Clinton also teared up when she was running for president 4 years ago. Even Sen. Ed Muskie, who, back in 1972 when he was on the campaign trail, wept because of the treatment of his wife by the press, shed a tear or two....but altho an Aries, born March 28 1914 in Rumford Maine, Muskie had Mercury in Pisces and Mars in Cancer. But Gemini? Air signs are usually more stoic and unemotional. Doesn't mean they don't have feelings, but they usually come from the intellect and rationalize and analyze and usually don't give way to tears. We can't think objectively and feel subjectively in the same moment, according to Carl Jung, so it takes something to make an air sign cry. Newt was speaking of his mother and he is probably exhausted, but one wonders how genuine the tears were. It wouldn't have come naturally one suspects.

The sun conjuncts Pluto on the 28th, lending a touch of intensity to the end of the year's festivities....a sudden touch of reality, and on the 31st be aware...Mercury squares Mars, Sag to Virgo....some slip of the lips can cause hurtful feelings.

Michele Bachmann - Saturn squares her Uranus on the 30th....someone rains on her parade.
Newt Gingrich and John Boehner - in 1943 Jupiter was in Capricorn at Gingrich's birth. By 1949 and Boehner's birth, Jupiter had moved to Cancer, and Saturn in Libra now is squaring both of them, which seems to be stressing their political ambitions.
Jon Huntsman - Uranus will conjunct Huntsman's sun this year, sure to open up new paths in new directions.

John Boehner - Not a good day

So, the word floating about Washington D.C. is that Scorpio Rep. John Boehner, Speaker of the House (Nov 17 1949, Cincinnati, Ohio), and his party caved today on the 2 month extension of the payroll tax and unemployment benefits, and privately, and on tv - not so privately - they are saying that this time next year, he won't be speaker.

Saturn in Libra squared his Jupiter in Capricorn today. Now, for the rest of us, this is usually a time where someone in authority isn't so inclined to give us what we want. But when the person is in politics like Boehner is, well Jupiter rules the political scene, and today Saturn squared it, and he didn't get his way. Come March, Uranus is going to do it's second square to itself, where a lot of people retire, or in other ways aren't in the same 'job' by the end of the square period.....from the sounds of the rumors, Boehner didn't get the cooperation he wanted from his party and a power struggle may ensue, easing him out of his post.

In the United States' chart, the Uranus/Pluto aspect currently building in the sky, finds Scorpio Boehner being Pluto and Leo President Obama (with Uranus ruled Aquarius rising) being Uranus. Pluto is a bit ahead of Uranus, and the hippie planet is huffing and puffing, running to catch up by June, but Pluto has shot it's wad with Jupiter in the U.S. chart, moving on a bit, and now Uranus moves in to square it (Jupiter), back and forth next year, being the new player in the field, taking Pluto/Boehner's spot. So, there will still be a clash of energies in the coming year, but Uranus feels stronger and more able to take Pluto on.

Week of December 18th - December 25th, 2011

We're down to the wire with Christmas only a week away. Venus squares Saturn on the 18th, 27 of Cap to Libra and inconjuncts Neptune 28 Cap to Aquarius on the19th, so a critical word or two is smoothed over the next day. The Sun then sextiles Saturn on the same 19th, 27 Sag to Libra... rules are set forth.

On the 20th, Venus enters Aquarius, and then the Sun sextiles Neptune, 28 Sag to Aquarius, intuition is sharpened, while Venus squares Jupiter, 0 Aquari to Taurus...we have an inclination to indulge. At the same time Venus sextiles Uranus, 0 Aqu to Aries, a last minute unexpected turn of events.

The sun enters Capricorn on the 21st and immediately trines Jupiter, 0 Cap to Taurus on the 22nd... something may arrive at the last minute. Sun squares Uranus on the 22nd, 0 Cap to Aries, , just before the new moon on Christmas Eve, 2 Cap, and then Jupiter goes direct on the 25th...Christmas should be a good experience, but the new moon is near Pluto and the sun conjuncts it on the 26th, so intense emotions can raise their head after the festivities. Resolve to let bygones be bygones and not take the bait.

Info on Newt Gingrich's date of birth is DD. We have June 17, 1943 in Harrisburg, Pa. But astrodatabank.com says that his office gave 'just before midnight' by his mom, and so they set it at 11:45 pm, but the family says 3:00 a.m. 11:45 would be Aquarius rising, and by 3:00 it's moved just into Taurus. In there, Mars conjuncts Pallas at 15 Aries. If we took 2:00 am EWT, then the rising is 13 of Aries and Mars/Pallas is on the ascendant. Either way, it's either in the first house, or the last planetary bodies the ascendant passed over before birth, so would have a strong effect on the personality. I would think, from his brashness, that he'd have Aries rising, or Mars close to the ascendant, above or below, to give him his 'taking no prisoners' personality.

Mars in Aries gives a pioneering spirit, but Mars can be mean spirited and Pallas is pure mind, no emotion. The fact Mercury conjuncts Uranus in Gemini, plus Pallas, provides the quick, clever mind, and Sun conjunct Saturn provides the conservative philosophy and no nonsense personality. The sun in Gemini opposes the moon in Sag, which usually means his parents weren't getting along at birth, and he has a push pull between his head and his heart

One wonders how accurate this early a.m. chart would be, because it puts almost of his planets below the horizon which usually is a person that prefers a quiet home life, and doesn't like to climb the ladder of success and be out in the public. ...but that Aries rising is sooooo tempting. Aries is argumentative, brash, "in your face", opinionated and wants to be first. With Mars in Aries and, if it's near the ascendant, it just accentuates it all.

Venus conjuncts Pluto, providing a deep sexual nature, but also shows that Pluto went over Venus in the first couple of years of life, and that usually indicates some abuse of some kind that set his personality. In the mid 80's, Saturn conjuncted Pluto in the sky at late Libra, while Pluto was moving in to square his natal Pluto, the time of key power struggles in one's life, leading to empowerment or squelched. It's a time where the abuse of childhood is re enacted again, this time with different 'actors' in the roles. In 2012, he's moving into a 'saturn return' from that earlier period 29 years down the road, to see what has happened in the interim. Jupiter is the planet before Pluto, his 'destiny' planet, showing his interest in politics.

Currently, Pluto is inconjuncting itself, correcting his forward motion if it's gotten off the track, and it usually has by this time of life. Saturn squared Jupiter on the 16th of December, 2011, Jupiter being politics and Saturn being judgment. It could be his time in the sun on the Republican slate is due to slide now. Saturn squares Jupiter again on April 3rd and back and forth in the fall of the year. By that time Saturn has also squared Pluto going into the election, so if he gets that far, his stars aren't going to be as bright then as they are now. Mid July will see his highest popularity.

Chelsea Clinton - Give Her a Break!

For heaven's sake.....Chelsea Clinton, daughter of the former president, filed her first news effort with Brian Williams on his nightly newscast, and you wouldn't believe the feedback. She was generally panned.

Chelsea, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, has spent the majority of her parents' political career,in the back ground, but ventured forth to try her hand at news broadcasting in her 30th year......and regardless of the feedback, she was fine. We all need to get off our high horse, treat people how we'd like to be treated, or more particularly, how we'd like our child to be treated, and stop nit picking over every little thing.

Chelsea was modulated and definitive in her presentation. Of course, she was nervous, who wouldn't be? But she carried herself well, and delivered her first news item professionally.....time will allow her to breathe, relax, and be more animated. For today, she was fine.

It all looks easy. Just get up there and read the prompter, but like anything, the anchors make it look easy. When Lawrence O'Donnell started on MSNBC, he was unsure and awkward. It seemed like he felt the need to get really confrontative and get in people's faces. He really didn't look like he had what it took to have his own show. But he had a wealth of knowledge, going back to his days working in Washington, so it was worth watching. Then, Keith Olbermann's dad became ill, and Lawrence took over extensively and after a period of time he got into a groove, and now he's an excellent anchor.

So will Chelsea.

Chelsea was born on February 27, 1980 in Little Rock Arkansas at 11:24 pm. She's a Pisces with a Leo moon and Scorpio rising...and Uranus in Scorpio in the first house. Pisces like acting, but they like to be behind the scenes more. Yet, a Leo moon needles her to get on camera. The Good Wife - how much better could it get?

I watched soaps for years, but it was never "turn off the phone. nobody bother me' type fanaticism - even tho I wrote the astrology column in Soap Opera Digest for about 5 years - but when "The Good Wife" comes on at 9 pm on Sunday night - that phone better not ring.....no one better need anything.

TGW is mesmerizing. Julianna Margulies is mesmerizing. Josh Charles, Christine Baranski, Archie Panjabi, Chris Noth, Alan Cumming....all are mesmerizing. The supporting cast on a show is always important to me, and I love them all. No one comes on the screen and I think "ewwwww. just leave".

"Parenthood" is my second favorite show now, but it's not the same. I love the cast, but I don't care for the storylines in most cases. It needs a new direction, new writers, maybe new directors; something behind the scenes that can turn it into more intriguing fare....but the cast keeps me coming back.

No problem with TGW.....there's nothing to point out, nothing to complain about......it's just mesmerizing from the moment the clock strikes 9pm til 10 pm arrives far too quickly.

We remember Julianna Margulies from "ER" and her matchup with George Clooney. I never watched ER much after they left. Julianna was born on June 8, 1966 in Spring Valley, New York. She's a Gemini with an Aquarian moon. The Aq moon gives her the wide appeal she has, but here we have two air signs, and you don't get that smoldering sexuality from air. No, that probably come from her Venus in Taurus. Mercury and Jupiter conjunct in Cancer, which can lend another aspect which keeps her grounded and sultry.....air signs are more flighty and wired. If we knew her time of birth, it would undoubtedly add to that groundedness.

In the new year, with the major aspect being Uranus moving in to square Pluto, Julianna has Pluto trining her Taurus Venus, so more accolades should come her way. Pluto also inconjuncts Mars back and forth all year, peaking in September when it goes direct again, after its retro period. An inconjunct is fairly benign, but there might be some surgery or a fanatic fan she has to deal with.

Josh Charles comes back to tv after a stint in New York on stage. We remember him from "Sports Night" with Felicity Huffmann. Josh was born on September 15, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland. A seemingly self effacing guy, Josh's Virgo Sun and Venus conjunction is intensified with Pluto in Virgo nearby.....he's an intense guy who is probably meticulous and has his world organized. A Leo Moon softens the Virgnoness, and if we knew his time of birth, we would see where that magnetism comes from. In 2012, Pluto has moved passed most of the aspects to his planets, so uranus moves in to shake things up a bit. In the fall tho, when Pluto goes direct, it will be at the apex of the Yod between Saturn and the moon. Pluto is at the "answer" point.....it will show him his next move.

Christine Baranski is a Taurus, born May 2, 1952 in Buffalo, New York. Her Taurus sun is complimented by Jupiter in Taurus, and would be harmonious with Julianna's Taurus Venus. A Leo Moon gives her the love of the limelight, but Pluto is nearby, so she could well have mother issues.
2012 is a little dicey, what with Pluto squaring and Uranus opposing Saturn, back and forth. There might be a power stuggle, but by 2013, Pluto moves in to trine her Taurus sun, and all works to her benefit.

Alan Cumming literally struck gold with his role as Eli......a one dimensional character has been fleshed out exquisitely under Alan's guidance, and it's fascinating to see the vulnerability behind his outbursts. Alan was born on January 27, 1965 in Aberfeldy, Scotland. He's an Aquarian with a Sag moon. Sag loves to travel, which is indicative of the fact he moved from his native Scotland to the states. An Aquarian usually has wide appeal because it's the sign of the 'collective conscious'. They have excellent minds, which may be photogenic for remembering lines. In 2012, Uranus sextiles the sun and trines his moon, so opportunities will open up for him to move in new directions.

Chris Noth, "Peter", was born on November 13, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin. He is a water sign with a capita "W"! He has a stellium in Scorpio - Mercury, Saturn, Sun and Venus, with 2 asteroids as well. Then he has moon, Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer. He's a very emotional person, but with Saturn as the planet behind the sun, he's also capable of letting his needs be known. Coming up, the new year looks fairly tame, but by 2013 he'll have his second Saturn return, where he'll re evaluate his life and decide what he still wants to accomplish and move in that direction.

Archie Panjabi, "Kalinda", was born on May 31, 1972 in Edgware, Middlesex, England. She's a Gemini with a Capricorn moon, and Saturn in Gemini conjunct her Gem sun, which gives her a strong non nonsense presence, yet she has Venus in Cancer to soften it. The new year sees some shifts in April, but the Uranus/Pluto major configuration will affect her Jupiter the strongest. Good she isn't in politics, but she can now be empowered and perhaps move in new directions.

Week of December 11th - December 17th, 2011

Mercury goes direct at 3 of Sag on the 13th at 5:42 pm pst. Those presents you purchased online that seem to be back logged, will probably all come in at once. The communication/travel planet has been all pent up and now it releases and the delivery trucks are working overtime. Mercury's retrograde was pretty tame this time, at least for me......my laptop's screen goes white suddenly, periodically, but it doesn't lose any of the info, so I can live with it for awhile.

The moon goes thru Cancer, Leo and Virgo this week. It squares Uranus at 0 Cancer/Aries on the 11th, and opposes Pluto at 6 Cancer/Cap later on in the day. We saw last week as Uranus was getting ready to go direct, that there were even protests in Russia. Later on in the week the Moon trines Uranus from Leo at 0, on the 13th, and inconjuncts Pluto at 6 degrees Leo/Cap on the 14th....then ends the week with the moon inconjuncting Uranus from Virgo to Aries, on the 15th and trines Pluto at 6 Virgo/Cap on the 16th.....while it conjuncts Mars on the 16th as well. This period can be volatile.

Week of December 4th - December 11th, 2011

Mercury's retrograding in Sag and backs into Sun on the 4th; you can be looking for something you've lost and find a bunch of stuff from past retrogrades that you think long lost. At the same time Mercury squares Mars from 11 Sag to Virgo, so there's some contention around mid afternoon in the west.

On the 5th, Venus trines Mars, 11 Cap to Virgo, so feelings are assuaged and love is in the air.....sexual tension anyway. Uranus goes direct on December 9th at 11:04 pm PST at 0 Aries. A change in direction is always a potent time and Uranus can really stir things up. There's also a full moon on the 10th, which is a lunar eclipse, 18 Gem to Sag. Better to finish things for Christmas than to start anything.

The Moon goes thru Aries, Taurus and Gemini this week. The moon sextiles Uranus on the 8th and inconjuncts Pluto on the 9th, while it squares Mars on the 9th as well......Uranus is at 0 of Aries, Pluto at 6 degrees of Cap, and Mars went over those degrees in Virgo last week, and is at 10 degrees now, but still in fighting range. Mars tends to trigger the slower moving planets to action.

Ashton and Demi have Split......anyone surprised????

Ashton and Demi have split.....is anyone surprised? Forget about the age difference....Forget about the all the celebrity. Demi's a Scorpio and Ashton's an Aquarius......'nuf said.

Water and air don't mix. Scorpio is subjective and Aquarius is objective. Scorpio gets all intense and emotional over things, and Aquarius is essentially unemotional and analytical......Carl Jung said you can't be objective and subjective at the same time. If someone has water and air signs in their chart, they can flip in a nano second, but they can't do both at the same time. Makes it hard on Cancer/Geminis, Libra/Scorpios and Aquarius/Pisces. They can be logical, and linear and objective for long periods of time, and then someone pushes a button and they can lose it and jump into emotion and intensity and lose all sense of objectivity. Same too, with two people in an air/water relationship. They are just two really diverse people coming from different perspectives. He probably wonders why she gets so intense and angry and emotional over things, and she gets enraged that he's sooooo laid back and won't respond.

Demi was born in Roswell, New Mexico....that much we know....Time Cycles Research lists Nov 1, 1963. IMDB says Nov 11, 1962. Most reports say she's 49 this year, and I've seen Nov. 11 more often than Nov 1st., so let's go with that. Astrodata bank lists 2:18 pm as the time "From memory". Who's? Hers?

That gives her a Scorpio sun, Taurus moon and late Pisces/Aries rising.......with Saturn in Aquarius. Saturn would not work well in Aquarius. And not be amused by their antics.

Ashton was born Feb 7, 1978 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has a Sun/Moon conjunction in Aquarius with Uranus in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, so he has the water energy that was probably drawn into Demi's water energy, but then, the air signs, and Pluto in Libra, Jupiter in Gemini, along with Mercury, Sun, Moon, Venus in Aquarius was just too much. PLUS, he has Saturn in Scorpio....so he's not any happier with Scorpio as Demi's Saturn is with Aquarius.

How did these two ever get together in the first place?

In their composite chart, their sun sign is conjunct with Venus in Capricorn, so that brings them together and gives them stability. Since Saturn rules Cap, maybe that does something to neutralize the Saturn's in the other's sign.

The coup de gras was that the Nep/Pluto Master Yod started for them by bouncing off Jupiter which made it work, and now it has cauht up with and has been grating back and forth over Mars.....and Mars is going to trigger anger and angst.

This is a relationship to be enjoyed while it's hot, and then wish each other well and go on your way.

Herman Cain's a Sag - The Emperor has no clothes

Sagittarians are a lot of things.....philosophers, educators, travelers, politicians, sports enthusiasts/players, and ministers among other roles. They have an incisive wit and tend to insert foot in mouth sometimes. The positive Sag is a Sage, with a quick, satirical mind. The less than positive Sag is dogmatic, will only see what he wants to see, thinks he can stonewall anything, thinks he's above the law, and thinks he can talk his way out of any situation. Sag relates to the Monkey in the Chinese system, and Sag "sees no evil, speaks no evil, hears no evil".....'evil' being anything that he does not agree with. Sag rules politics. Sag rules religion. Sag rules higher education. Hence, you can see how it all comes together in modern politics.

Herman Cain was born December 13 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born in the Year of the Rooster, and the month of the Monkey. Born in 1945, Saturn was moving into conjunct Pluto in 1947. At his birth, Mars was caught inbetween the two of them, in Leo. Saturn and Pluto want control and to dominate. Geo Bush was born in 1946 as was Bill Clinton; Hillary was born in 1947....there are a lot of power politicians born in this time frame seeking ultimate power and control. Along with power comes sex. Those born in the mid-late 40's can use sex to dominate and make people surrender to their will. There are of course, those who don't.

Cain has a grand trine in Fire: Pallas, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Ceres , South Node an in Sag and Vesta at the beginning of Cap. Saturn is at the end of Cancer, with Mars and Pluto in Leo. while the moon is in Aries. There are 3 planets in Sag and 3 asteroids, showing a bent for politics. But Sag is also loquatius, and overbearing, and Mars/Saturn can be mean, as well as Mars/Pluto. People born in that era can be preyed upon by those in power, or those who seek power....or they can be the predator.

Cain stuck to his denials when at least 3 women came out and said he allegedly was inappropriate with them. Now, another woman has spoken, saying she had a 13 year relationship with him, and felt badly that the other women were not taken seriously.

Bill Clinton wasn't hurt too badly by claims from other women. But, I imagine it boils down to whether the general female populace would like to have sex with him or not, and how he went about it. In Cain's case, he's no Bill Clinton.

Week of November 27th to December 4th, 2011

A light week, as far as aspects go......Venus trines Jupiter, 1of Cap to Taurus.....if Mercury wasn't retrograding, it'd be a good time to indulge yourself with a few Christmas gifts for moi (yourself), but seeing as it is, you'll probably have to take them back for some reason. It's an earth trine, for practical yet elegant, sumptious energy to soften the cold around you.

On December 1st, Venus conjuncts Pluto, 6 Cap, the energy of Pluto is enhanced, even with Venus, that's not great in most instances.....but feelings are intense, there could be jealousy abounding. On the positive end, if the jealousy isn't there, if you meet someone new on this date, it could be a very fated romance. Just check out the intensity first.

Then, on Dec. 2nd, Sun squares Mars, 9 of Sag to Virgo.....that sublime intensity of yesterday, takes a set back as the sun gets puglistic with Mars and an argument can ensue. It's almost Christmas......put your angst on hold til the new year....and it will dissipate by that time.

The moon goes thru Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and moves into Aries by the end of the week. The Moon is at the midpoint between Uranus and Pluto....it sextiles Uranus on the 29th, and sextiles Pluto on the 1st....A sextile is an 'opportunity' but remember it creates a yod. The Moon/Uranus Yod points at Virgo and the Moon/Pluto yod points at Leo......those areas of your chart will give you an idea of what this Uranus square Pluto transit next year will be all about. Each week the moon will tick off these two....the moon is the populace in the U.S. chart (or any country's) , so we'll see some global movement.

Coming Up: Uranus goes direct on December 10th, Mercury goes direct on the 13th.....the potential for some something new to be said that we hadn't anticipated.

Sun squares Neptune on the 20th, and events aren't clear....there may be info that is being withheld. On the 22nd, Venus sextiles Saturn, offering an opportunity to make some solid decisions on Christmas gifts and the like. Sun moves into Sag on the 2nd and squares Chiron on the 23rd and trines Uranus on the 23rd as well. With so many planets and asteroids in early degrees of signs, the sun and moon trigger off a whole flurry of energy when they shift to a new sign. Some woundings are examined, and maybe a new insight on how to resolve them.

Mars trines Pluto from Virgo to Cap on the 23rd, making forward progress possible to move in new directions with authority. Get your Christmas shopping done before Mercury goes retrograde on Nov. 24th at 2:19 am est. Also on thanksgiving, the Sun inconjuncts Jupiter and Venus sextiles Neptune.

There's a new moon at 2 of Sag on the 25th which is the last solar eclipse for the year. Wherever Sag is in your chart that will be on the front burner for the next 6 months. Venus enters Capricorn on the 26th. Then Venus squares Uranus, sextiles Chiron and then trines Jupiter on the 27th lending a feeling of optimism.

Uranus square Pluto Watch: Moon opposes Uranus on the 20th and squares Pluto on the 21st. Regis Leaves Live! after 28 years

Friday, Nov. 18th, 2011, was Regis Philbin's last day on "Live with Regis and Kelly". It's not clear whether it's illness, or a contract dispute, or something else, but how could you work less for $20 mil a year than one hour a day? So I'm not so sure the press releases that it's over money is accurate. Reege is 80 years old, he's had multiple-million dollar years, so can't need the money. So is it just ego that he won't take a salary cut? Or have the planets simply moved on???

Regis was born on August 25, 1931 in New York city. Astrodatabank says 1933, but it's widely reported that he's 80. No one seems to have the birth time, which is either strange because he's a devotee of astrology, or canny, in that he doesn't want anyone to get the nitty gritty of his chart.

Normally, a Virgo is a king maker, not the king, but Regis has both Jupiter and Venus together in Leo, and Leo loves the limelight, loves the adulation, loves to be center stage. Even if the Virgo would rather be retiring and behind the scenes, that Leo energy won't be denied.
