Today another shipment of figures arrived. I thought I'd be no sooner than tomorrow but somehow it got here earlier than I expected. It came bearing four treasures: Inaba Yui, Mio and Reimu and Marisa plushies. Now I've got a few more figures to review, but I decided to go for Yui. Why? Because she's got an awesome feature I haven't known about yet, and isn't advertised on the box anywhere and I haven't seen it online either. But that may be me not looking correctly. In any case, let us get on with the pictures.

This is her front view. As you can see there's a lot of action going on, hair floating around, skirt up, donut on her piehole.

This is her right side. You can see her raccoon tail thing on her skirt. You can also now see her base in a better perspective. It is basically two connected hearts. It also shows how she's connected with the base.

This is the back, with a beautiful view on her neither region. Also the best view on her raccoon tail/thing and her large bow tie on her back.

This is her skirt. It has some nice detail, featuring an actual tiny chain. It's some sort of metal too. You can see the two accessories hanging from it, but those are sadly glued on the skirt and don't actually move.

Well, now on to the box. This is the front, and it's not all that special, but it did have a nice view when she was still inside it.

The left side, with two heart shaped windows so you could check out her buttocks from the side. No pantyshot by just a little.

The back. This DID have a pantyshot but you still couldn't see much because of the way almost all figures are covered in plastic when she's still inside the box.

And now we're actually done. But I decided to make a picture featuring most of my weeaboo figures and my new plushies which I'll get to later on. If you see anything in here which I haven't reviewed/maked pictures of yet, just ask and I'll get to it.

For me GoodSmile Company made a real solid figure. Mine has no paint failts and the quality of the paint is great too. She's also sculpted quite well, and her hands, which seem to be a problem sometimes, are looking great too. Together with the nice feature of taking off the skirt and an actual metal chain on her skirt it has some nice details. Somehow for a 1/8th scale figure it feels smaller than others but when I put it next to Azunyan it was only a little smaller. Even if you're not a fan, I'd still recommend buying this for the nice details and hidden function. The base is all pink and a little girly which might put off some of you but this shouldn't be a problem really, Yui is the little girl and wouldn't we all want to be a little girl?

Nakano Azusa by Alter

Since you guys REALLY wanted me to, I maked picturzzz.

She's a 1/8th figure by Alter. The good thing is that Alter is going to release the entire band. The bad thing is that I'll end up a poor schmuck. And with Mio being shipped as we speak and Mugi at the end of the month Azunyan won't have to feel alone anymore.

Anyways, let us go on with some pictures. These ARE what you've been expecting, right?

This is the front view, with hopefully visible guitar strings on her guitar. You can see her jumping, but from the front it doesn't look so special. Which may be the pictures' fault.

This is her from the back. As you can see there isn't a lot of detail on her back, but hey, it's her back and it's not a focal point in any way.

This is her left side. Here you can see how her hair is swept up by her jump. I really like how it looks but the pictures don't do it a lot of justice, sadly.

Here you can see another side view, from the right this time. Again the swept hair, which I really like. Another thing to note, for all four pictures, is the base. It's a clear base with a little text on it, which looks nice. You can also see how she's held up high by a clear height spacer.

Have a puffy vulva picture. It's not in plain view at all and you'll have to lift up the entire figure off of its base but cute girl butt is always related.

As you can see here, her head is detachable. You can take it off so you can remove her bangs and nekomimi and replace it with her normal bangs. The nekomimi are the optional accessory but I liked it better and think it suits Azunyan pretty well. Sadly, I'd make a picture of her with her regular look, but I've put it inside the box, and when I tried to open it I had to twist it in a million ways and would end up crushing the top flap which opens the box. And I really don't like crushing and bending my cases. I apologize for this.

As you can see there's a lot of space to look at her. This was a real eye catcher, when she just arrived she caught my eye a lot sooner than the biribiri or my WAVE Beach Queen Saber.

And even for the top. As you can see, the box isn't all that exciting but it is a decent box, and the hard plastic shell was protecting Azunyan pretty thoroughly.

All in all this is a good figure. It has a lot of nice details, such as her guitar which is stringed and has more details, such as knobs on the body and the top of the guitar to tune it. She also has interchangeable headgear. There are also a few things I dislike. She has very small hands, very noticeably her left hand that's on the guitar neck. Her right hand is a little larger, which is also strange, but looks better. On this hand however she has a tiny guitar pick, too small in comparison to her size.

Again, I liked this figure, and I still do. Even with a few shortcomings she hasn't disappointed me. I have about ten figures and save one or two I haven't disliked any of them a great deal. I have also never found any figure yet without a few dislikes. As with the others, I can look past them with no problem at all, the overall quality is great and I would recommend this figure to future buyers, if she'd still be available.

So it has been a while.

For those of you that still DO care about reading this blog, I'm updating! Right now I don't have a whole lot of stuff to talk about. There may be a couple of things I'll go over this week.

One of which are figures. Whee. I've got a Azunyan by Alter to review for a while now, and my Yui Inaba from Flyable Heart will come soon, together with Mio from K-On! I also have another Saber to post pictures of, an old Saber Lily by Alter. And, if people care, I have a Prop Plus Petit Railgun box, with 10 small figures from the Railgun series.

Secondly, I've finally started on a VN. It's been two years at least since I finished one and although I always download every translated visual novel I've only played about 4 or 5 so far. I've started with Umineko, this is also to blame for not posting anything. So far I'm liking it, but due to the massive amount of threads on /jp/ I can't say I haven't been spoiled. So far I've already "forseen" everything as I've already read most of it. I was a little scared that this might make it less enjoyable overall, but somehow I'm not minding it a lot. It still is an enjoyable story and it still is interesting in its way. Right now I'm about to finish EP1 and beside sleeping this has been taking a large part of my day. It's even overtaken my daily amount of /jp/ and /fap/. So my protein levels are dangerously high.

Third, Oh Mai Gah!! I've actually studied one or two kanji a day each day so far. Okay, it's less than I had hoped for, which was five a day. But daaayaam. I'm actually doing shit guys. I'm workin it hard, getting a daily dose and I'm getting it good. Now maybe when I'll finish Umineko I might do more because there'll be more time in a day(yeah right). Well, happy thoughts for now, let us keep this up.

For now, no picture, sorry. I might put one up later. For now, I just want to go to sleep, I'm buzzed also, so I'll probably sleep well. Good night /jp/.

Second day, why doing nothing is better than doing something.

Oh man. After a 14 hour long sleep/coma, I woke up. Thought of reviewing some more Nipponese. So I got up, said good morning to my beautiful girls that are displayed next to my bad and took a seat and turned on the screen to my battle station. Seeing nothing interesting enough to keep me from taking a whizz and to make some coffee, I went downstairs. Yes, everybody is gone. So I take my coffee up to the attic and check my email. Yes, Reimu Figutto! just shipped via SAL parcel. /jp/, nothing interesting.

Okay now for some kanji grindan. 3 hours later: I've fapped 4 times, fired up /jp/radio, did 1 kanji, in between faps and drank three cups of coffee. Oh man, how hard can it be to keep your mind to one thing for more than five minutes? Beautiful 2D for one, taking about 20 minutes or so. Oh god.

Now, it's not because I hate studying languages. I'm fluent in my mother language(durr), and I consider me near-fluent in English, at least at the level that writing makes it hard to distinguish between natives and me. Then there's German, which I'm not fluent at, but can understand most conversation and make small talk. Damn that's one annoying language. There's another two or so languages of which I have more than basic knowledge of too. And then there's Japanese.

So why is this so hard? It's not the kanji, those aren't a problem at all. It's not that I don't know HOW to study languages, because I've learned enough languages. I think it's because it's at least six years ago since I honestly studied. It's just so hard to get into it again. Yesterday it felt so much more like a breeze than it does today. It's not that it's about liking or hating Japanese either. When I finish and meet my goals I'm satisfied as hell. Which I haven't been in a while either. I think my brain is rotten. ;_;

So basically after doing nothing today, and almost nothing yesterday, I'm making a post again. Not a great post, maybe. But a post none the least.

Right now, before going to sleep(yes, best part of the day), I just studied some Nipponese again. Before going on with that, the standard firefox spellchecker thinks Nipponese is a valid word. Now I'm not an English native speaker, but that strikes me as odd. Very odd.

Moving on to the Japanese. I've spend about a couple of hours to find out about how far I am, and what I've remembered from my past tries. I know I was about at 300 words, including compounds, before. After doing some shitty meguro language center test it came out at around 100. Okay, nice. But I still don't really care about that. So I started up Kanjidicks again and just started from the beginning.

Since it's been ages since studying anything, I'm easying in myself, maybe picking up the pace later. I've studied the first thee pages. 一,二,三。 One, two and three. Now these are simple of course. As seen in other methods, you don't learn squat about compounds with the kanji you learn. But with kanjidicks you do. So I've also learned about 12 or so compounds, so I've also boosted my actual vocabulary.

Tomorrow I'll try to do three, or maybe five. But since I'll also be following Tae Kim's Grammer Guide again, I can't really say. But for now, this is my post. I'll try and continue this tomorrow.

I "ordered" her earlier, however for some reason the order did not go through. Also it was the last one so when I checked back to ask why my order didn't come process I also found out, well I actually already knew, that it was sold out. Damn it. That's annoying.

Last post I described a song which I couldn't remember. Also I said that if nobody knew it, by the tabs alone, I'd try and record it. Well, I have, and I think it came out alright. For those that DONT play guitar, just take your dad's and play along. The low e, which is represented by the lowest dotted line here, is the upper, most fat string on your guitar. The higher E, represented as the highest dotted line is the most thin one, at the bottom of your guitar. A zero, 0, means open string, so don't touch any frets, which are the metal thingies and just strum it once. If there's a number higher than 0, you have to put your finger just before the metal fret and strum. The "s" means to slide your finger to the next number, ie 2s4 means that you don't take off your finger and move it to the fourth fret, you just slide it over the string still pressing down on it, towards the fourth fret. Recently I've been mesmerized by a bunch of songs. I don't even think you can call them songs really.They're nothing more than a bunch of girls say onii-chan over and over again. And oh my god. It' amazing.

It makes me feel like a real onii-chan. It makes me feel like a trusted onii-chan. But not just trusted, also a lewd one. Because lewd onii-chans are the best onii-chans. Yesterday was a slow day for me, and with no updates for you. I have some figures I still can review but I just didn't feel like doing one. Also, while I have some figures ordered and coming in, and have some I already own but haven't reviewed yet I'll run out of them soon enough. Hell yeah, so it's finally here! 43 euros of customs for a 100 euro fig holy crap. But yeah, I'll make a call Monday to ask what's up. They rated the damn thing at 68 euros too, which should amount to no more than 23 euro customs. Damn those moochers.

But lets get to the point. Saber! My waifu came! Oh wonderful joy. Yeah, I'm happy. Here we have her in her box. The box is huge, even bigger than my Saber Lily from Alter.

When I wanted to get her out of the plastic I was surprised. I couldn't get it to open because it was secured with wire, right through the box on places such as her leg. It was secured with three of these little rascals, untying them was annoying too.

Sadly, I made a few pictures of closeups of the plastic and it's contents. Sadly, they were so blurry I couldn't even make out what was going on. So here we have the base. It's huge, and without a doubt the largest I have so far. It's also the most detailed I have too.

Here's a close up of the accessories. Pretty neat swords I must say. In the middle is the pin-stand to make Saber "fly" or "float".

On the end of each swords are little "lids". You can take these off so you can slide the sword in her hands. With these on it would be a real tight fit, which could damage your paints.

Haha, here she is in my hobo lightbox, a tip from Hip Hop Hikikomori. The box I used wasn't the largest, but gee, she can barely fit in there. Most of my other figures worked out fine when I considered building it. Well, I guess we'll have to turn back to how I used to photograph them before I built the lightbox. I'll use it later on, when I'll review a smaller figure.

So here she is again, now in a more spacious habitat. As you can see, she's ready to take your head. Which she will if you make a wrong move, I bet. If you look closely, you can see her skirt. It doesn't look amazing on photo, but it looks real good if you look at it with your own eyes. It really looks like fabric. The same goes for her wavy flap of fabric in front of her legs.

Here we have a close up of her breast plate. As you can see they're very well encased. There's nice detail on her plate there, and the paint quality is real nice. I see no flaws at this moment.

Here's her behind. Here you can really see the look of the fabric of the white lacey dress underneath her blue cape thing. Also even more clearly on this picture you can see her steel armor hangin loose over the fabrics.

Here's a last size comparison. Beside her you see the Misaka figure I reviewed earlier. As you can see she's a lot smaller. Saber is also really heavy. I'd almost be afraid she'd have gotten fat, but of course it's the armor that makes her so heavy. I'll be keeping my eye on her.

Well, at the end of all this, I must say I like it a lot. GoodSmile Company delivered a fine figure. As of now it probably is one of my favorite figurines I own. On another note, I've never reviewed, or shown off(whichever you think fits best), so quickly after receiving it. Only a mere half an hour after I got it, I made the pictures and stared writing this. I hope you enjoyed this review, and I hope you enjoyed my others. If there are any suggestions for improving this, don't hesitate at all. I'll try my best to present my girls to you the best I can.

Now on to the main thing at hand! Only a couple days in, here is my Misaka Mikoto figure from Railgun.

This entry is about GoodSmile Company's biribiri. As some of you know, there aren't a lot of biribiri figures and this one is, in my opinion, the best. They're also releasing one with her in a bathing suit which you can pair with a Kuroko. But I don't really like Misaka in a bathing suit so I went for this one. It's a 1/8th scale figure.

So as first picture here we have the box. This DID survive. No dents, no nothing. Greato!

As you can see, she doesn't need her base at all to stand. It's not really a good idea to leave her off her base if you place her in a spot where you have to reach all the time. This will make her fall and potentially damage your figure. Also note, all images so far were small, from now on they're thumbs you can click.

Here we have her base and an accessory and an arm to hold it. Looking at the base you see that only biribiri's left foot is attached to the base. When I first saw this I thought it might be a little wobbly but it stands tall with just one leg secured.

Well, those are my biribiri pictures. I want to point out that she has a great paintjob, virtually no faults and a great base. Also the fact that she can stand without a base is good too. She's a little small but I already knew this. All in all it's a nice figure and pretty cheap too, I got it for about 5500 yen. If you're looking for a figure, you're a Railgun/Index fan and you don't want to burn a lot of money on your first figure, this is a great choice to start.

As I said, I got a fair amount of new figures lately, and this is one of them. It's a 1/8th scale Index figure by GoodSmile Company. It's not the newest figure, but I liked it and chose it over another, newer figure. So anyway, let's start with some pictures.

Here we have the figure and the box it came in. As you can see, it's a medium sized figure in this pose. She could be a lot taller if she were standing. Also she is very very heavy. As of now she's my second heaviest figure in total.

I mad. Shipping was rough and fucked up my box. I love boxes, I have all my boxes still and none of them were damaged so far. Fuck.

This is her without the box in view. It may be personal opinion but her headpiece looks a little cheap. The wavy bits look fine, but the gold piece on her forehead and how it's "attached" to the rest of the piece looks cheap. The paintjob on the gold front piece is cheap.

The headpiece also obscures her head and hair, and for both reasons I decided to keep her without her headpiece. As you can see, she is holding the cat she found with Touma.

Also included are a set of praying hands and a button that will be placed on where the cat is now. I like her best with the cat so that's what I went with.

This is how she attached to the base. It does't slide very far into the foot OR the base for that matter, but it's still very sturdy, which surprised me. Lasty, have a picture of only the base.

All in all this is a figure I like a lot. With "only" a headpiece I don't find amazing and wouldn't let her wear even if it were better makes it a lot more acceptable than the Kouhime I was talking about earlier. This has a pretty base and a nice pose. It has a few extra accessories and if you're an accessorizing fag you may like this. I gave it my thumbs up!

Right now, I'm rewatching Aria. It's been a while and if any of you watched it, I'm sure you'll remember what a joy it was to watch. Every episode makes me smile, all the characters are cute and lovely and even though there isn't really a story, I still love the fuck out of it.

Which brings me to the point of writing this entry. I am pissed at myself for never buying an Aria figure. These are some figures I would have bought. And now that I can't find these or other nice ones anymore, I am sad. I've found a few Aria figures but I don't like them a lot. And with the cost of importing them and customs it just isn't worth it for me. So I've told myself to just buy figures I like and not wait months or years.

Sengoku Rance Kou Hime figure Re: Base

So last post you've been reading about the horrible, horrible base I was complaining about. Well, I made a picture with my stupid sexy mobile phone. You can compare the base in the picture with the base on the stock photo provided by Kotobukiya. I hope you see what I mean by butt-ugly.

For some reason I just can't imagine how people decided it was a better idea to take the clear base and change it with this shit. Thanks for ruining a beautiful figure. It was the first Kotobukiya figure I bought, and while it may not be the last, I'll be a lot more careful for now.

Sengoku Rance Kou Hime figure

Today I finally got my Sengoku Rance Kou Hime figure in the mail! And it only took 40 days! Gee. The webshop talked about delivery within 1-2 weeks. I guess they made a typo because it's more like 1-2 months. Anyway, here are some photos:

It's basically a nice figure, with nice details. Sadly though, mine came with a loose skirt. The kneepads will fall off very fast and mine has the most aweful base. On the pictures you'll see a small, clear base. Mine has an aweful neon orange base, not only ugly, it's also huge.

So far, even with a loose skirt and a shitty kneepad, I still like it. But that base is the worst. I'm not sure what to do with it now, but I went from loving it, to hating it. I have some more figures coming in, I'll update about those.
