MLB happen to be overwhelmed with their anabolic steroid and human growth hormone debate. Out of the top fifteen all time home run hitters, half a dozen of them have publicly stated to using steroids like Sammy Sosa, Mark McGwire, A Rod, and Man Ram.

Nowadays it is frequent that people almost expect Major Leaguers participants to be using the juice or HGH. Regardless of all the rumors many pro leaguers still have not publicly stated to having them. Many only come clean when they are exposed like Rafael Palmeiro continue today to deny in spite of overwhelming evidence they all took performing improving drug treatments to improve their hitting game.

It is still a light of breath air when a player comes clean. Eric Gagne former CY Young winner tells the LA Times that he used growth hormone injections when Gagne was a dominating relief pitcher for LA.

Gagne was quoted as indicating he used growth hormone to aid himself “get better” after suffering a knee damage in spring training of 2005.

Gagne damaged his throwing elbow, which required 2 surgical treatments. Eric had surgical procedure in 2006, and he has suffered thigh and shoulder incidents the past a number of periods. He is seeking to make the LA Dodgers bull-pen as a non-roster player.

While Eric was using human growth hormone Eric went to become a relief pitcher instead of a starting pitcher. For three years (2002–2004) Gagne was statistically the most outstanding relief pitcher in Major League Pitcher, winning the best pitcher award in 2003. From that time Gagne established a MLB record of eighty four straight saves.

On Dec. 07, Gagné was listed in the Mitchell Report—former Senator George Mitchell’s report on the use of steroids and HGH in Major League Baseball. Gagné was discovered as a person of HGH (Human Growth Hormone). Eric Gagne received the drugs from steroids supplier Kirk Radomski. Receipts of US Postal Service shipments suggest that Radomski acquired at the very least one payment from Gagné.

Eric was a late draft choice of the Chicago White Sox in 1994.

Human growth hormone has been labeled the fountain of youth or anti aging drug. It has been validated to reverse time and aging. Some of the gains include elevated energy , much better sports performance and healing, boosts immune technique, reduces weak bones, improves interest in sex , increases heart functionality, removes aging in the skin, helps bring about thicker hair growth and boosts feelings and sleep patterns.

Though Human growth hormone is outlawed for sports activities but it really does possess a lot of benefits to everyday folks but there are many Hgh swindles on the marketplace. If you are preparing to buy human growth hormone, investigation what you are purchasing and get testimonials. For the best resource on growth hormone go to HGHarticles.com and the top rated growth hormone pills include GenFX.com and GenF20.

Stan Winman has been increasing interested in health related issue like anti aging treatment and the proper supplements and techniques used for reversing the aging process especially in human growth hormone products

Star shortstop Jose Reyes looks like he’ll miss the beginning of the 2010 season, which couldn’t come at a worse time for a team in the same division as the stacked Philadelphia Phillies. Citing significant thyroid issues, Reyes will miss anywhere from a couple weeks to six in total from baseball activities moving forward. For a team struggling to keep up with the improving NL East, which includes talented Braves and Marlins squads in addition to the Phillies, the Mets could be in for another long season.

The thyroid issue comes in the aftermath of a disappointing 2009 campaign, in which Reyes played just 36 games and didn’t have much of an impact even while on the field. Reyes was hampered by a tear in his calf, which placed him on the DL for much of the season and prevented him from returning to the team down the stretch. Coming off a big 2008 year, in which Reyes stole 56 bases and had more than 200 hits, expectations were fairly large for Reyes considering terms of payroll and national prominence.

It wasn’t just Reyes’ calf that was a disappointment in 2009, however, as the Mets had one of the worst offenses in the entire league and finished 11 games below .500. Ace Johan Santana also missed much of the season due to bone chips in his elbow and was ineffective when he tried to pitch through the pain. Third baseman David Wright also had a subpar year in the middle of a depleted lineup. Not counting his rookie season, in which he played just 69 games, Wright had career lows in homeruns (10), RBIs (72) and runs scored (88). In a new ballpark, the Mets had high hopes for the 2009 campaign but finished fourth in the division, even landing behind Atlanta and Florida – two teams that have considerably smaller payrolls.

The other team in the NL East that finished ahead of the Mets was the NL champion Phillies, who have strengthened their roster after winning the National League pennant a year ago. Adding ace Roy Halladay, who many consider to be among the very elite pitchers in the game, the Phillies are the clear favorite not only in the NL East but the entire National League for 2010. Backed by one of the most potent offenses in the game and now with a dominant starter like Halladay for a full season, the Phillies could very well run away with the division fairly early in the season, adding to the mounting frustration for the Mets.

But the Mets didn’t remain stagnant in the offseason either, however, as they nabbed free agent Jason Bay from the Red Sox and talented reliever Kelvim Escobar from the Angels. In Bay, they have a legit 30-homerun, 100-RBI guy and Escobar gives them a much needed addition to a bullpen that struggled mightily in 2009. Adding Bay to a lineup with Reyes and Wright seems to suggest that the Mets were headed in the right direction in terms of their offensive potential, though it is likely that Bay’s numbers will take a hit moving to the large dimensions of Citi Field. With Bay added to the core group of Mets talent, New York Mets tickets should continue to be a commodity moving forward, even with their noted woes.

Contributing to the frustration, no doubt, is the success of the cross-town Yankees, who also opened a new ballpark last season. But while the Mets had an injury-plagued and disappointing season in 2009, the Yankees rode their tremendous payroll to another world championship, ending the perfect season in their new ballpark. Moving forward, the Yanks look to to be the favorite to win it at all once again while the Mets continue to have problems getting their talented core healthy.

Though no one can doubt the talent of Reyes, his time away from the field is starting to become a significant factor in the problems of the Mets. With a new ballpark built more for speed than power, Reyes seemed to be in prime position to help lead the Mets back to the postseason. While he still is certainly part of a bright future for the Mets, Reyes cannot do much from the bench, and the Mets will need him to recover quickly from his thyroid issues if they are to have any chance at competing in the rigorous NL East.

The roots of the Los Angeles Dodgers were initially planted in 1883 in Brooklyn. Though they ran through a series of team names in the commencement of their franchise (Atlantics, Bridegrooms, Grooms, Superbas, Robins, and Trolley Dodgers), from conception they were a team after a tradition of success. Shortly after the birth of this franchise they won the AA championship in 1889 and were invited to join the National League (which they still are a part of) in 1890.

By the 1930’s they took on the familiar title of the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Brooklyn era of the Dodgers was full of success both in winning ball games and in changing the world around them. The Dodgers made sports history in supporting the integration of African Americans to Major League baseball, beginning with baseball legend and future Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson in 1947. The Dodgers willingness to support African American participation in Major League Baseball dealt them a huge advantage, leading them to win 6 pennants in the 10 years following the coming of Jackie Robinson, including a World Series Championship where the famous “Boys of Summer” (as the Dodgers were known) took out the legendary “Bronx Bombers” in the 1955 World Series in 7 games.

Seven years after Walter O’Malley acquired the franchise the Dodgers packed up their bags going from Brooklyn to LA, where they changed the pace from winning National League Pennants to winning World Series Championships. After winning just one World Series Championship in all of the decades playing in Brooklyn the Dodgers went on to win 5 more World Series over the Next 30 years in LA, creating a loyal fan base for the “Boys in blue.”

The Dodgers winning tradition was strong during those decades of success, producing legendary players(Sandy Koufax, Duke Snider, Orel Hershiser, etc.) championships(1959, 1963, 1965, 1981,1988) but all of that ended in 1988.

After being led by Hershiser’s incredible scoreless inning streak in 1988 the Dodgers have not had the same magic ever since. Year in and year out the Dodgers would produce the best young talent in the league, winning Rookie of the Year awards for the National League a whopping FIVE consecutive seasons in the early to mid 90’s(Eric Karros, Raul Mondesi, Mike Piazza, Hideo Nomo, Todd Hollandsworth). They were also a huge factor in the presence of the Asian player in Major League Baseball, bringing players such as Hideo Nomo and Chan Ho Park to the organization. This source of talent had been nearly untapped before the Dodgers went in, yet for 20 years the Dodgers could not succeed in even winning a single series in the playoffs.

The Dodgers however are on the upswing. With the most heralded manager for the Dodgers since the days of Tommy Lasorda(Joe Torre), and being led by a bevy of young, talented bats(Kemp & Ehtier), pitchers(Clayton Kershaw & Chad Billingsley), and anchored by the experienced run producing Manny Ramirez the Dodgers look to have an opportunity to bring their names back to glory.

Who says spring break is all about beaches, shopping and nightlife? Although the 2010 Major League Baseball regular season doesn’t kick off until April 4, spring training is in full swing. If you’re traveling to Florida or Arizona for spring break, you might be just a short drive away from one of several spring training facilities dotted across cities in each state. The “Sunshine State” and “Grand Canyon State,” both known for their warm climates, are the only states throughout the country that play host to spring training ballgames.

Whether you’re an avid baseball fan or simply looking to while a few hours away with friends, a day at the ballpark makes a great alternative to an afternoon spent amid the hustle and bustle of a jam-packed amusement park, crowded mall or tourist-saturated beach. What’s more, every game affords spectators the opportunity to get an autograph, catch a foul ball, or take loads of pictures.

Spring training is divided into two leagues with 15 teams apiece. Florida-training teams make up the Grapefruit League, while teams that train and play exhibition games in Arizona are in the Cactus League. More than 1.5 million fans have attended Grapefruit League games six years running while the Cactus League set an attendance record with 1.31 million fans in 2008.

And while Arizona is nearly synonymous with the Grand Canyon and Florida conjures images of breathtaking rides at Orlando’s famed theme parks, there’s plenty more to do at these sun-drenched spring hot spots. Both states offer a wealth of recreational activities including golf, hiking and biking. If you’re big on sunset-watching, you’ll want to visit Phoenix, which sees more than 300 days of sunshine each year. (I guess they call it “The Valley of the Sun” for a reason!) Orlando was named the third most visited American city among travelers by Forbes in 2007, thanks largely to its popular theme parks, sprawling malls and a vibrant sports scene.

Whether you’re heading southeast or southwest this spring, there are noteworthy hotels that sit just minutes from spring training stadiums across various cities in both states.

Grapefruit League

Champion Stadium, the spring training home of the Atlanta Braves in Lake Buena Vista at Walt Disney World, is only 1.3 miles from the Mona Lisa Suite Hotel, which offers complimentary shuttle service to the Walt Disney theme parks, Universal Orlando and Sea World. The stadium is also 1.6 miles from theCelebration Hotel, a AAA Four-Diamond boutique hotel in the heart of Celebration. Next to Lake Buena Vista lies Kissimmee, where travelers might catch a Houston Astros spring training game if they venture to Osceola County Stadium. Only seven miles away is Caribe Royal Orlando while the Radisson Orlando Resort and Gaylord Palms are each approximately 10 miles away.

If you’re traveling to Legends Field in Tampa to watch the defending World Series champion New York Yankees in action, you can stay at Sailport Waterfront Suites on Tampa Bay, Tampa’s only all-waterfront, all-suite hotel (roughly 4 miles away), or Safety Harbor Resort and Spa which, situated fewer than 11 miles away, underwent a multimillion dollar renovation in 2007.

Cactus League

Travelers visiting the Phoenix area can catch an Oakland Athletics game at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, which lies approximately 6.5 miles away from Best Western Dobson Ranch Inn and the 10 acres of landscaped courtyards on which it is set. Phoenix is also home to the resurgent Milwaukee Brewers who, in 2008, lost to the eventual World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies in their first playoff appearance since 1982. Try getting an autograph from All-Star first baseman Prince Fielder at Maryvale Baseball Park, which is about 5 miles away from the property declared “Best Boutique Hotel in Arizona” in 2007 by The Travel Channel – The Clarendon. Travel east and you’ll find Scottsdale, the site of ever-popular Scottsdale Stadium. Home to the San Francisco Giants, it is approximately 2.5 miles away from Hospitality Suites Resort, which offers complimentary breakfast and features a Jacuzzi and three swimming pools.

Ready to escape the cold weather? Make sure to grab your glove and camera and catch a live spring training game in Florida or Arizona before time runs out. Play ball!

After saving 47 games a year ago, the upcoming 2010 season seemed to be an auspicious one for closer Joe Nathan and the Minnesota Twins. This all changed recently in a meaningless preseason game in Fort Myers, when Nathan was determined to have a substantial tear in his ulner collateral ligament, which will place him out of commission indefinitely. Though the Twins have aspirations of contending in the up-for-grabs AL Central, Nathan’s injury places them in a precarious position as they move forward into the 2010 season.

Along with stars Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer, Joe Nathan had helped the Twins build a reputation as a division competitor each year, even with one of the smallest payrolls in baseball. Backed by Nathan, who is one of the best and most consistent closers in the game, the Twins won 87 games and took down the AL Central in 2009, narrowly edging out the Detroit Tigers in a one-game playoff. Heading into the 2010 campaign, the Tigers and Twins were expected to battle all season long for the division title.

Just one pitch in spring training may have changed all that. Though it’s unclear whether or not Nathan will be out the entire season, he will certainly miss most of it, leaving the Twins scrambling for a replacement. The Twins are also hoping to sign reigning MVP Joe Mauer to a long-term deal some time before the start of the season, with the three-time batting champion heading into the final year of his contract. With Mauer still without a contract, however, and Nathan’s season potentially ended before it began, the Twins are in a difficult position moving forward.

But it isn’t all gloomy news for the Minnesota Twins heading into their 2010 campaign. With Morneau and Mauer, the Twins already have two recent MVPs in their lineup and have high expectations for the return of starting pitcher Francesco Liriano. Liriano took the league by storm in 2006, going 12-3 with an ERA only a shade above 2.00. His success did not last long, however, and a major elbow injury has hampered him over the last few seasons, preventing him from returning to dominant form. The news surrounding Liriano heading into 2010 has been much more promising, though, as scouts and coaches have stated that Liriano’s slider is back to its 2006 form. Liriano should bolster a mediocre starting rotation in need of a spark.

The Twins also went out and signed Jim Thome in the offseason. Though Thome’s best baseball is clearly behind him, he still hit 23 homeruns a year ago and will bring some protection to the lineup for Morneau, Mauer, Michael Cuddyer and Kubel. Cuddyer had a breakout year in 2009, belting a career-high 32 homeruns to go along with 94 RBIs, and Kubel drove in more than 100 for the first time in his five seasons in the league. With plenty of big bats in the heart of the Twins lineup this year, not to mention young players like Denard Span, they still have a very exciting core group of talent that should be able to carry the Twins offensively, making it a good year to buy Minnesota Twins tickets.

But the Twins also now have a big hole at the end of their bullpen, which could pose a significant problem for the Twins’ playoff hopes. While there still seems to be the semblance of hope that Nathan could return toward the end of the season to help a playoff push, there is no way of predicting how effective he will be coming off of a major elbow injury. Moving forward, the Twins’ season has a giant question mark at the back end of their bullpen, though dealing with adversity is something Coach Ron Gardenhire and the resilient Twins have dealt with many times in the past.
