Nine quick requests to be sure everything runs smoothly during and beyond. Please read through them. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
 

1.

Never, ever park in our driveway. Park directly in front of our house or across the road. Avoid parking in front of others’ homes when possible. Walking is good and umbrellas are handy tools.

2.

Arrive on time. Ring the doorbell ON your lesson start time (NOT early). Don’t worry about interrupting. It lets me know you’re here and means that all students get their full lesson time.

3.

Clean your hands. Before you ring the bell, use hand sanitiser provided (parents and siblings too, please). Our hands spread 80% of common infections. Pianos can end up sharing more than music.

4.

Limit the room to 3 people (I’m one of them). Fewer people means fewer bugs getting a free concert and means fewer interruptions to everyone’s lessons.

5.

Stamp and wipe your shoes. Also keep food outside (water is fine to bring in). Thank you for helping to keep things clean for everyone and preventing any surprise “souvenirs” on furnishings.

6.

Give 24-hour notice. As soon as you know you can’t make your class, please let me know with a text message (preferred way). Last minute may incur a charge, especially for things you saw coming!

7.

Cancel if you’re unwell. Got the beginnings of a cold? That’s your cue to rest. Cancel the lesson (even last minute) to keep everyone else healthy. Plus never bring along anyone who is unwell.

8.

Not practising is no reason to skip. Don’t worry if you haven’t had time to practise. Think of your lesson as your “get back into it” time. Life gets busy and just coming to your lesson is a win.

Just a short notification, about a couple of changes at my music teaching web site.

You might have noticed that, at this blog’s navigation bar (at top of the page), that I now have a brand new form at which you can leave your personal feedback about the piano lessons you have experienced with me as your teacher.

If you are a past or present student who has bumped into today’s message and stopped to submit a testimonial, then I thank you in advance.

Your contribution is hugely appreciated.

You might also have picked up, at the top of this blog’s home page, that I announce the days that I do not teach i.e. some public holidays and segments of school holidays.

I now also update that in an image with those dates for you.

It should make those dates much more visible and therefore easier to spot when you visit here.

New students are best to complete the contact page form to reach me. I can then respond when I’m next free and at my computer.
