He was also on an after school cartoon show with Tails called "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog". Today in the new millennium people look online to play their favorite classic Sonic games. A lot of newer console systems feature his older and harder to find Sega games in Anniversary Collections.

One way people play as Sonic live online is through Smash Brothers Brawl. He was an unexpected character to the normal Nintendo themed ideas. He is the fastest character in the game compared to Captain Falcon who was the fastest in the previous game. Sonic also can turn into Super Sonic with his final smash. His character is based perfectly off of the series. Other characters who make an appearance as non playable characters are Shadow the Hedgehog, Dr. Robotnik, Tails, and Knuckles.

Another alternative to play Sonic online is through Sega Superstars and Sega Superstars Tennis. Sega brings together it's best characters from such titles as Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, Space Channel 5, and 12 other Sega game characters.

The last way people play Sonic online is through emulators and rooms linked in with websites to play it live through your internet browser. This is at your own discretion as it is illegal (similar to downloading mp3's free). That is how people are able to play the older Sega and Nintendo games.

If you decide to play Sonic have fun with your adventures stopping Dr. Robotnik and reliving other adventures. For this popular Speedy Blue Hedgehog will always remain a legend.

Play Nes Games Free Online at http://www.originalnintendo.net/

Find Consoles new and old (Nes, Snes, N64, Gamecube, Wii) at http://www.originalnintendo.net/shop

Find Nintendo Shirts of all Varieties Low Priced at http://www.originalnintendo.net/shop/labels/shirts.html

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Matthew_Corgan
http://EzineArticles.com/?Play-Sonic-Games-Online-Free---Sonic-the-Hedgehog---Sega&id=1085942

Places To Play Sonic Games

Sonic Online Games
By Kristen Crane

Sonic the Hedgehog is the video game giant SEGA's mascot. His fan made nickname is blue blur and he truly is a video game legend. He is known for his rebellious attitude and signature lightning fast speed. Children and adults alike love playing his games.

Sonic games were originally created for the SEGA console back in 1991, but you can now find Sonic the Hedgehog video games on next generation consoles such as the Xbox 360, ps2, ps3, Gamecube, Nintendo DS, PSP and Nintendo Wii.

The indigo blue hedgehog creates fun and excitement for all the video games and he brings some friends along for the fun. Some friends included are Miles Tails Prower, Amy Rose Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles Echidna and Cream the Rabbit. And, of course, Sonic's arch enemy, Dr. Eggman (aka Robotnik), pushes his way onto the scene as well.

Not only can you play Sonic the Hedgehog console games, but you can also find and play great remakes of Sonic the Hedgehog video games on the web. They are free web based games that you play directly from your browser like Firefox or IE.

Some sonic online games include Ultimate Flash Sonic, Sonic RPG (role playing game), Sonic lost in Mario World and Super Smash Flash. Super Smash Flash is one of the most popular online games. It is a fighting, batting, action packed game that closely resembles console games such as Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Sonic online games provide endless hours of entertainment and they are packed full of fun!

http://www.sonicgame.info/

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kristen_Crane
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-Online-Games&id=751331

Learn How To Play Sonic Games

Sonic The Hedgehog - Still Going Strong
By Kristen Crane

In recent years the gaming industry has exploded into mainstream culture and has intertwined itself into the fabric of everyday life. The success of gaming can be traced back to the classic systems of the 90's, the glorious days of Nintendo and Sega. Yet we all know that the weight of a consoles success always depends on that one defining game. When picturing this perfect synergy of a console and that one game, most people will point to Xbox and Halo. Yet everyone who grew up in the 90's knows that this synergy started way back, when Sega and Sonic the Hedgehog meshed together so perfectly.

Sonic the Hedgehog, known as that speedy blue ball of fury, was first birthed by Sega as its "mascot" of sorts. Sega eventually saw the potential of the blue hedgehog as a hit game series and released the first installment in 1991. Sega rode on the coattails of their prodigy as Sonic soared through loops and jumps on TV screens across America and sub sequentially turning Sega into a leading video game company. From 1991 to 1994 Sega churned out three hit titles starring Sonic and a fourth with Sonic sharing the spotlight with his pal, Knuckles. Sonic barrel rolled out of his 2d home and set foot into a lush 3D environment, in Sonic Adventures for Dreamcast, and never looked back.

Sonic's creator, Sega, decided to drop out of the hardware market in 2001 and allowed Sonic to step into the consoles of its former competitor, Nintendo. After seeing major success on the Nintendo platform, Sega decided to also allow Playstation and Xbox the privilege of selling the Sonic series. In 2006, Sonic the Hedgehog found his series in the form of a star, a part of the honorable "Walk of Game". Almost two decades and 7 console generations after its initial debut, Sonic the Hedgehog is still going strong, with a new hit game on the next-gen console, Xbox 360.

Kristen Crane has been a sonic the hedgehog fan since 1991. He smashed his way onto the gaming scene back in 1991 when SEGA first brought you the super fast, blue blur character.

Known for his rebellious attitude and signature speed, Sonic has made a name for himself in the gaming world and has no plans of fading away anytime soon. Not only can you find Sonic games on the original SEGA console, you can find Sonic games on next generation consoles including the Wii, PS3, PSP and Xbox 360. Sonic and the Secret Rings was released for the Wii console on February 20, 2007. Sonic brought his trademark speed and rebellious attitude to the Wii in his first solo adventure since he was first introduced, back in 1991. The gameplay is simple, but challenging and sonic soars through the game at top speeds!

Sonic the Hedgehog is the title for the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles. This video game was created in order to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. It was released November 14, 2006 for the Xbox 360 and January 30, 2007 for the Xbox 360. Sonic Rivals was released November 24, 2006 for the PSP handheld console. Custom built for the Playstation Portable, Sonic Rivals is a unique head-to-head racing experience!

While these newer games are all the rage, you can also find great Sonic games on other consoles as well, including the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Gameboy Advance and Nintendo DS. The SEGA mascot brings fun and excitement to all the video games and drags some friends along for the fun. Some friends included are Miles Tails Prower, Amy Rose Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Knuckles Echidna and Cream the Rabbit. And, of course, Sonic's arch enemy, Dr. Eggman, shoves his way into games as well.

Oh, but wait! The fun doesn't stop there. Die hard Sonic the Hedgehog fans have created fun and exciting Sonic Flash Games for gamers to play online. They are browser based games that are creative, fun and addicting. Yes, you may find yourself playing these games for hours on end! One of my favorite Sonic Online Games is Ultimate Flash Sonic. It's an amazing remake of the classic SEGA Genesis game, Sonic the Hedgehog.

http://allthingssonic.blogspot.com/2007/06/sonic-hedgehog-long-live-legend.html

http://www.sonicgame.info/

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kristen_Crane
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-The-Hedgehog,-Long-Live-The-Legend&id=608694

Play Sonic Games Generation

Mario Vs Sonic - The History Of These Two Gaming Giants
By Brett Ranton

In the 60's and 70's it was The Beatles vs Rolling Stones. In the 80's it was Lakers vs Celtics. In the 90's the topic that saw so many schoolyard arguments was indeed Mario vs Sonic. Who would win in a fight? Who would win in a race? Who cooks a better omelet? You name it, it was argued. There were no characters as recognised to children of the 90's as Sonic and Mario, with Sonic's "Q Score" (a rating that rates something based on it's popularity) even surpassing that of Mickey Mouse. With such results, it seemed obvious this rivalry wouldn't die out quickly.

Contrary to popular belief, Mario made his debut in the 1981 Donkey Kong game for the arcade. Although he was called "Jumpman" he looked exactly the same as the Mario that appeared in the first game with his name in the title "Mario Bros." This was a basic game that didn't scroll, and it required killing all the enemies in a "Phase" and then progressing to the next phase. In this age, it is hard to see the appeal of this game, but in it's time it was rather entertaining.

Mario's game that propelled him to the status of a household name was the first "Super Mario Bros" for the NES which is now the best selling video game of all time. This was the first side scrolling Mario game and it set a standard for all the 16 bit Mario games to come. While it was not the first side scrolling platformer, it was the first done well, and allowed other developers to copy the formula. For this reason, this game is hailed by many as the saviour of the video game industry as the industry was in a great deal of trouble before it's release.

Possibly more noteworthy, was Mario's transition into the 3d world. Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 received perfect scores from countless professional review companies. It is still seen today as the best ever 3d platformer, and many have tried but failed to replicate the success of Super Mario 64.

Sonic's creators knew from the beginning that Sega needed a mascot for it's Genesis/Mega Drive system that could help market it's console to compete with Mario and the Super Nintendo. They looked at Mario and perceived him as stuffy and uninteresting and decided to tap into the younger generation who was after something "cooler" with more attitude. After many considerations including "Mighty the Armadillo" Sonic the Hedgehog was decided on and a team of 15 began work on what would be the first Sonic game, "Sonic the Hedgehog" for the Genesis/Mega Drive.

Popular opinion said Sonic didn't really hit his straps until the second game for the 16 bit console. In this his little sidekick Tails was introduced and collecting all the chaos emeralds saw Sonic transform into "Super Sonic" which was a yellow, super fast super strong version of the character.

Sonic's 3d games however have not seen the success of it's rival Mario. Sonic 3d Blast for the Genesis/Mega Drive was an average attempt, and it wasn't until the Dreamcast where we saw a 3d Sonic game that was really worth playing called "Sonic Adventure." However, since creating that formula that worked perfectly, Sega have made odd choices with games forcing you to play as Sonic's less entertaining sidekicks to access the fun Sonic levels. Sonic the Hedgehog on the 360/PS3 received awful reviews. Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii seems to be the only game since Sonic Adventure that has really got it right with Sega finally realising that what made the originals so fun, was Sonic's blistering speed.

Sega's decision to no longer create consoles has no seen the creation of the first game where Mario and Sonic can go head to head called "Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games." After selling about 1 million copies of this game, it is clear this rivalry is still alive and kicking. Many have no doubt thought back to those schoolyard arguments and thought "Finally! I can prove x is better than y!"

Whatever your opinion is, it's no doubt you haven't seen your last debate on the topic. Just remember when you're ready to rip someone's throat out, it's only a game.

Please check out my Wii Blog called Wii want to Blog for all my adventures in Wii including reviews, opinion pieces and news!

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Brett_Ranton
http://EzineArticles.com/?Mario-Vs-Sonic---The-History-Of-These-Two-Gaming-Giants&id=909389

Sonic Versus Mario

Sonic Versus Mario
By Steve Stuchlik

Even though Mario is ten years older, a very good case can be made for Sonic, when it comes to the title of "Most Popular Video Game Character" of ALL TIME!! Let look at the "Tale of the Tape":

Sonic from Sega, is a blue anthropomorphic (changes shape) hedgehog with the ability to run faster than the speed of sound; his talent for speed forms a large part of the game play of the series. He is 15 years old. Sonic has been described as being "like the wind." He is noted for being heroic, adventurous, and free-spirited. He enjoys relaxation, but is never one to rest in the face of injustice. He is extremely benevolent, and would willingly put himself at risk for others, taking on any challenge that confronts him without hesitation. Throughout his 15 years of existence, Sonic has never been linked to any job he is always collecting jewelry, so access to funds is not a problem for him.

Mario from Nintendo, now at the ripe old age of 25, is more of a "George Foreman" type, Mario is always portrayed as being a kind-hearted and brave hero. He helps those in need without any hesitation. Despite his status as a great hero, Mario is very humble. His cheerful personality and love of life make him a very approachable video game character. He also has a love of pasta and pizza, as the stereotypical Italian does. Mario is suppose to be a plumber by trade, but in all his years I don't recall him ever working on any "plumbing" jobs, but always in the "rescue business" saving princess' or Mushroom kingdoms from Large "Dino" type animals.

Based on these descriptions, they appear to have more in common than one might originally have thought.

Sonic's speed would be his biggest asset in a match up with Mario while Mario counters with his tremendous jumping ability and Mario also carries a BIG HAMMER. Maybe this should be a "Steel Cage" match? LOL

Mario counters with his experience and his "jumping ability" which would be the deciding factor I believe in this battle, as he would continue to stomp on Sonic's head. Now on to the "Game breakdown":

MARIO

1. Donkey Kong

2. Mario Bros

3. Super Mario Bros

4. Super Mario Bros 2

5. Super Mario Land

6. Super Mario Bros 3

7. Super Mario World

8. Super Mario Land 2

9. Super Mario Land 3

10. Super Mario Bros DX

SONIC

1. Sonic the Hedgehog

2. Sonic 2

3. Sonic 3

4. Sonic & Knuckles

5. Sonic CD

6. Sonic 3D Blast

7. Sonic Adventure

8. Sonic Adventure 2

9. Sonic Hero's

10. Sonic Spinball

After reviewing the above "tale of the tape", it is my conclusion that the winner of a contest between these two behemoths would be Mario by a Knock Out. I believe that his perseverance and stamina would wear down Sonic and render Sonic's one advantage (his speed) worthless.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Steve_Stuchlik
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-Versus-Mario&id=256462

Sonic VS Mario VS Crash Bandicoot

Sonic VS Mario VS Crash Bandicoot
By Oliver Earl

A superspeed Hedgehog, a fireball-throwing, flying fat plumber and a Anthropomorphic bandicoot. The battle has been debated for years. Who is the strongest?

Note: This debate is not biased. I am not in favour for just 1 of them. I own all their games and like them equally.

Sure, Mario has been around for longer. His first debate on the arcade game Donkey Kong, and then his first proper hit in Super Mario Bros. Since then he has gained new features and abilities. Such as the feather, cape, his pal Yoshi, coloured caps, flowers, suits and mushrooms. Clearly with all these features, Mario is undoubtably invincible.

But mainly from 1991 onwards, he had heavier competition. The name: Sonic the Hedgehog.

Sonic's first main debut was on the Sega Mega-Drive/Genesis (Although there was versions on the Sega Master System and Game Gear). Sonic was a blue hedgehog who could run at the speed of sound. Also with the access of the "Chaos Emeralds" he could morph into a "Super Saiyan" form, known as Super Sonic. Where his hair would spike up, his eyes would glow red and his body would turn a bright golden-yellow. This gave him the ability to fly, become invincible and run insanly fast. Sonic and Mario from then on were heavy competition.

After the launch of the Sony Playstation, a developer team named Naughty Dog wanted to create a character that was heroic, yet goofy. They made just the thing. Crash Bandicoot. A hit worldwide, and became a heavy competior to Mario quite a bit more than Sonic. (EX: Mario Kart 64, CTR: Crash Team Racing and Sonic R)

Crash Bandicoot has a lot of features and abilities too (From Crash Bandicoot Warped onwards). He can run midly fast, sneak, activate super belly flops, has a Fruit Bazooka, owns a motorbike, can spin rapidly like a tornado, can double jump, can call his polar bear or lizard for assistance and can use the aid of his witchdoctor mask "Aku Aku" to make him invincible.

So there we have it. It's up to you to decide who is the greatest. Don't just say "Mario" or "Sonic" for the reasons that they are faster or because you grew up with one particular character. Use the information I have gave you in this article.

Thanks for reading.

Oliver Earl

Classic Gaming

Support me and visit my website at:
http://www.classicville.co.nr

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Oliver_Earl
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-VS-Mario-VS-Crash-Bandicoot&id=289171

Sonic VS Mario VS Crash Bandicoot: Part 2

Sonic VS Mario VS Crash Bandicoot: Part 2
By Oliver Earl

The second part in the Sonic VS Mario VS Crash Bandicoot debate, which character had the best racing game in the 32bit era?

Sonic the Hedgehog, who is Sega's mascot had a racing game on the Sega Saturn and it was later re-relaeased on PC. It featured a "running" race between super-speed Sonic, high flying Tails and powerful gliding Knuckles. The racing game was named "Sonic R".

The race was on foot and all characters had their own stats, advantages and disadvantages. What was mainly good was the minigames such as balloon seek and tag mode.

You could also unlock characters, such as Dr. Robotnik and Metal Sonic by collecting special golden tokens hidden in each map.

Now to Mario's racing game:

Mario had already had a racing game on Super Nintendo called "Super Mario Kart" which was a huge hit worldwide. So the one on Nintendo 64 was the sequal (named Mario Kart 64) was almost as successful.

Mario Kart 64 has had many sequels in the future on consoles such as Game Boy Advance and Nintendo GameCube, and was very popular amongst kids because of the 4-player battles and races and it was bundled with many Nintendo 64's.

Mario Kart did not include any unlockable characters but it was more fun to play with friends compared to Sonic R.

Crash Bandicoot had his own racing game on Sony Playstation which was made to directly counter Mario Kart 64.

It was called Crash Team Racing or CTR for short, and was very successful. It uniquely had a great 1 player adventure mode and was still really fun to play with friends. Battle or racing modes.

You could unlock new players and maps in Adventure mode so game play would keep getting better with some characters you may recognize such as Penta Penguin and N. Brio.

All these games are good, two of them having successful sequels, but Sonic R is the only one which is still being made for the PC.

If you have a Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64 or Sony Playstation you should really give them ago. If you are getting a Nintendo Wii, you should be able to download Mario Kart 64 via the Virtual Console download service for a small price.

Thanks for reading this article.

Oliver Earl

Visit my website - http://www.classicville.co.nr

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Oliver_Earl
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-VS-Mario-VS-Crash-Bandicoot:-Part-2&id=339898

Does Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Finish Strong?

Does Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Finish Strong?
By Eric Ha

Here's your chance to root for your favorite Nintendo or Sega character as you help them beat their opponents with your awesome skillz, that is if you don't get tired.

I remember back in the days with Track & Field for the NES when you had to push the A & B buttons as fast as you can to simulate the two legs running. It was really tiring and our fingers would hurt after a long game. Here's a tip if you still have the game and are stuck with ancient gen gaming. Place a piece of paper over the A and B buttons and slide your finger back and forth really fast. Using a controller with turbo mode also helps tremendously.

Ok, let's get back on topic and back to the future. Now that wii have the We remote, instead of mashing buttons to simulate running we actually have to simulate running with our body parts. That means holding the nunchuck and Wii remote and shaking them as fast as you can. This can get really tiring really fast so it's a great way to keep in shape if you're a 24/7 gamer.

The controls aren't that bad in the game but it sure can be tough depending on the event you play. I always had trouble with high jump and triple jump. I just can't seem to get the timing right when I flick the remote upwards to jump. The javelin throw event also gives me trouble because it also requires you to flick the remote up with good timing. Swimming and rowing is also a pain to play especially against the computer on Masters difficulty. Sometimes I don't even know if my movements are helping.

The game is not that easy to pick up and play for newcomers because you have to explain the controls to them more often than other party games and different events have different controls. Once you get that out of the way though, the game is pretty fun with multiplayer. We had a blast in the Dream Race which is essentially Mario Kart on foot. Archery was also fun because it really requires you to act like you're holding a bow and arrow. However, to get the most out of multiplayer, you'll have to play single player to unlock events for multiplayer. Good thing it's not that hard as long as you're strong in a few events. You just have to place third in a circuit to advance.

It's a shame that online multiplayer didn't make it into the game, but you can still use Nintendo WFC to check the records of players all around the world. There's some pretty darn good players out there and they don't let tough control schemes stop them from setting a world record. You gotta work hard and practice, practice, practice to make it on the list. You might even get healthy and buff on the way there.

This game doesn't scream fun, but it's nice to pick up and play once in a while especially with some friends or family. There will be times when you get frustrated with the game because of the controls, but then there will also be times of laughter when your opponents get frustrated by the controls and you win. If it wasn't for the multiplayer and online rankings, I would have given this game a 6. Overall this game is a 7 and it would have scored higher if online multiplayer was included.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Review Page

http://www.nhotspot.net - Nintendo WiFi Games Site

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Eric_Ha
http://EzineArticles.com/?Does-Mario-and-Sonic-at-the-Olympic-Games-Finish-Strong?&id=985701

Sonic The Hedgehog A Playable Character In Smash Bros Brawl

Sonic The Hedgehog A Playable Character In Smash Bros Brawl
By Kristen Crane

As I'm sure you already know by now, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is now available for purchase in the US! Have you picked up your copy yet? If you have not picked up this hit game, now is the time to grab one of the best video games ever created. Yes, it is basically the same concept as the first two Super Smash Brothers games. However, Super Smash Bros Brawl was created for the Wii console and ups the ante with several exciting new modes and wireless features.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Features...

Brawl has a ton of features to keep you entertained. The best feature would have to be the online battles. By logging onto Wi-Fi Connection, players can now enjoy online battles with friends from all over. The downside to the online battles is the friend code requirement. You can email your friends to get the twelve-digit code, but if your friends do not have the game, then what? Some have started a petition to stop the use of friend codes.

More features include a new single player mode which is perfect for solo brawlers who want to test and master their skills. An adventure mode called "The Subspace Emissary" lets players fight their way through rival filled levels, meet up with other characters and take on each boss. The Smash Bros. legendary action-packed battles that pit up to four players against one another in a brawl to see who's the last one standing. And a huge addition being the "Final Smash" which is a secret skill that can be performed but once...and only after obtaining an item called the Smash Ball.

Sonic the Hedgehog is a playable character...

The roster of characters on board Super Smash Bros. Brawl is genius. You have your veteran fighters such as Mario, Link, Pikachu and Kirby. Then you have the newcomers like Snake, Lucas and Pit. However, none of these characters can compare, in my opinion, to the best video game icon ever created, Sonic the Hedgehog. And what's better than the legendary character, Sonic the Hedgehog being added as a playable character? I would say it's that you finally get to fight to the finish against long time rival, Super Mario!

Unlock Sonic and check out his moves...

Sonic is an unlockable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. If you get a chance to unlock him, you can see that he uses his signature speed and his moves are mainly variations on his signature spin-dash. Sonic's special moves includes his standard move the Homing Attack, his side move Spin Dash, the Spring Jump, the Spin Charge and his final smash, the Super Sonic. I think Super Sonic was a good choice for his final smash. He uses the power of Chaos Emeralds to transform and race through the air at lightning fast speed.

Sonic Smash Brothers online game...

If you are a fan of both Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Smash Brothers games, then you will love the online game, Sonic Smash Brothers. It is an online fighting game similar to Super Smash Flash, except this flash game only features playable Sonic characters. Game play includes an adventure mode, single matches, various challenges and a practice mode to test your skills. When you complete adventure mode with each character, you unlock other characters. You can also unlock more characters through various challenges as you advance through the game. Sonic Smash Brothers is a must play for all Sonic fans and Super Smash Bros. Brawl fans!

Play Sonic Smash Brothers and other sonic games online at BlueBlurZone.com.

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kristen_Crane
http://EzineArticles.com/?Sonic-The-Hedgehog-A-Playable-Character-In-Smash-Bros-Brawl&id=1041960

Sonic The Hedgehog - Hero Of The Speed Games

Sonic The Hedgehog - The Official Game of Speed
By Travis Ludlow

The future of interactive gaming is driven by sound compression innovation, spatialization, broadband internet connection and the virtual rich experience of live music. Sonic the Hedgehog was categorized in the action/ adventure genre. The game was developed by Ugi Naka at Sega in Japan. Its definitive impression focuses on speed. Sonic moves too quickly. The players sometimes find self not able to perceived its environment. Playing it will, most of the time, makes you feel dizzy. The video game was released in 1991 which was like an overnight success. Sonic first became popular in the United Kingdom then United States. The like an example of a reverse import, its popularity spread back to Japan. Sega claimed that this game alone was responsible for moving millions of systems among the general community. Sonic the Hedgehog sales exceeded those of Mario and Nintendo and it is turning 17 this year. Its characters were associated from film and literatures. Sonic the Hedgehog was identified as a contemporary icon which made it so popular and successful.

The blue Hedgehog description

He moves in dashing and rolling. Actually it was all basic movements and interactions like walk, run, jump and attack. Sega Sonic fights in a different style. It involves rescue and protecting measures. It is nor just plain termination of virtual lives. Every one wants to be a hero sometimes even in a virtual game. This just gave players the satisfaction of becoming one. Well Sonic the Hedgehog does not like being idle too. When left unattended for a few seconds, it taps the screen hopefully to get back the player's attention. He will definitely stand up and look at you while tapping his foot. The game was indeed a high speed action platformer. As we all know platform games like Sonic influenced players to use their skills to be able to cunningly move through various levels which involve a fair bit of action. He's fuzzy, he's funny and he does have an attitude.

The emotional impact of playing Sonic

A good game knows what the players are thinking and looks over their shoulders every step of the way. The designer's craft made players feel like they are in control. The emotional experience was significantly sculpted as the game progresses. The trick was made by giving players the confidence that they have all the resources needed to meet those challenges. Then the challenges were sent to confront the players. The idea is to make them feel they have the ability to run with great speed, shoot bull's eye, jump higher and feeling smart while in control. The space, the character and the soundtrack makes you every bit of yourself feels invincible. Everything in the game gives you a good sense of effortless control. Any will get hooked with this high speed game and noting else seemed to matter after that. You will be amazed how far technology and fun can possibly indulge people to playing Sonic.

Press start to play Sonic

Grab the controls and start running as fast as you can from loop to loop. Collect gold coins with that good burst of speed. Then aim to send all obstacles scattering. The task is very simple. The only thing that you have to learn to do well is covering speed. You run, you jump, collect goodies and you avoid the bad ones. Simple instruction for a super speed Sonic: press space bar to jump and use the left or right arrow keys to move around. For the great spindash or spin and jump, just hold the arrow key and press the space bar. Be sure to cut your fingernails first just to make sure you're not breaking any when you start to play the Sonic. And never hit any obstacles while running. You are only allowed to hit it while you are spinning.

How did Sonic the Hedgehog cover his speed in terms of actual gross sales?

Video games could make you millions in a day better and bigger than movies. The pie chart shows that Sega has penetrated 45% US and 66% of the European market. Sonic was listed as one of Sega's biggest achievement. Records showed that Sonic the Hedgehog had estimated revenue of $893,654 out of the estimated 178,731 units sold from approximately 96 games tracked as of 07/11/07.

www.itsagoodday.org

Travis Ludlow, Founder of Itsagoodday.org highlights the good theings of the world.
