What do I have here?

What I have in my hand is URIAGE Thermal Micellar Water for Normal to Dry Skin type. This one has cranberry extract which helps hydrate the skin. Although I haven't tried other micellar water yet, I fell in love with this product from URIAGE. I tested it and my skin did not feel agitated after removing a heavy makeup for a photoshoot. It performs better in terms of moisturizing than my previous makeup remover. Packaging wise, I'm surprised that the water comes out as droplets, so you don't have to worry about accidentally use too much—no wastage here! It did take me 3 cotton pads to remove the makeup, but a little goes a long way which you'll only need a few drops on each cotton pad.

I tried URIAGE Cleansing Cream on my body and it actually makes my skin feel smoother. I also tried cleansing my hair with it, and find that it makes your hair and scalp less oily and smell nice. So for those who have oily hair, you might wanna give this a try. I think that 50ml is not enough if you're planning to use on face, body and hair. So you might wanna get the 200ml ones.

URIAGE Thermal Water Spray is refreshing! I don't know if it's just me, but I feel that it removes a bit of oil on the face. I tried this when I was feeling very sleepy and oil starts building up, especially around the T-zone area.

As for the scent, all three products have a refreshing smell to it which I like! Price point, it's a bit expensive though. But, I really recommend giving this a try if you have extra moolah.

The other day, I went out with my sister to the IT Mall and we stop by one of the shops there. I wasn't looking for anything in particular initially, but then I figured that I (finally) need to get myself a power bank. Say hello to Allegory Story! I found out about the brand when I came across their page on instagram. Allegory Story is an indie makeup brand based in New York. They just launched two months ago, so they're quite new. The brand produces custom formulated creamy lip gloss, and have 7 shades altogether from their Summer2016 collection. Each of their shades has references to allegorical themes in history and art, which what makes this brand interesting! Their lip glosses are Vegan, Cruelty-free, Paraben free, Phthalate free, and Gluten free.

I'm happy that I managed to get my hands on these lip glosses (thanks to my sister's bf 😉) as they currently ship within the US only. For those who live outside of the US who'd like to own these lip glosses, the brand is planning to expand soon, so keep an eye on it! I love unique and pretty packaging, and Allegory Story nailed it. They have the cutest holographic cloud logo-turned-pattern embossed on the cap, and the cap can be customized! You get to choose between blue or pink cap for each lip gloss. Because of that, I was in a dilemma of choosing the cap color. 😱 I love both, but I decided to get pink caps. The front and back of the box feature a background color based on the cap chosen, so mine's pink. While the side of the box incorporates a checkered background.

I bought 2 shades. Initially I thought of buying Faerie Queene, but I ended up switching it with Botticelli instead. Botticelli is a warm nude, inspired by the Italian painter, Sandro Botticelli. And Wonderland, a pastel purple, which you probably can guess what it's inspired by.. Yup, Alice in Wonderland~ I'm so loving these two shades! Botticelli is such a perfect nude that I can wear anytime on any day. I'll wear Wonderland when I feel like I want to be playful and daring (or mad as they say).

The lip gloss comes with a doe foot applicator, is very pigmented and non-sticky. It's forever summer where I live, so I have put the lip gloss to the test, which I noticed that the lip gloss keeps my lips moisturized throughout the day! Even though it disappear few hours later. Plus, it smells of vanilla, kinda reminds me of vanilla cream buns (just be sure you're not that hungry!). Allegory Story lip glosses are really one of the must have lip glosses for summer. I'm looking forward to see more products from them, and to have international shipping finally available (hope it doesn't cost much though). As for the price, it cost only $15 for each lip gloss. Hey guys! Meet my new makeup brushes! I bought these no-name synthetic brush set from an online store called Inmazing through Lazada. It's 10 pieces per set and only cost around $8! Thanks to Aen Sa'ari for giving me tips about makeup brushes which has helped me in making decisions on buying brushes. I remember she showed me the difference between synthetic and natural hair brushes last time when she did my makeup for my friend's video project (I was the model). Also, I further did my research about it by reading a bunch of articles online. The difference? while both are good type of brushes to have (as long it's cruelty free), it depends on the kind of product you're using. Synthetic brushes are best for liquid or cream product, while natural hair brushes are best for powdery product as it contain cuticles that helps to lift and absorb powder pigment better. The brushes that I bought are soft! (as you can see from the gif image above) and pretty 😍, but it does smell of glue. It's not that bad, the smell will eventually wear off over time and as long it does a good job, it's fine with me. I think these are nice, decent brushes to have and that won't break your bank, especially when you're just starting out. Since Lazada doesn't ship worldwide, I have searched and found that you can also buy them here on Aliexpress, which cost around the same amount that includes free shipping and have more variety of colors!

I was so happy when this came in the mail the other day. This here is a feminist pocket mirror designed by Francesca Burke. I've had this blazer for a while but I was waiting for the right top to create a look. Finally I found it! This off-the-shoulder top is from my mom that she wore in her 20s. Now it's mine and I love it! It's unique and you don't see them making this kind of pattern tops anymore. They only sell the plain colored ones. I just feel like the whole look suits with the song. :)

Hi guys! I'm back. This is what I wore last saturday. Went out to do some creative work. Notice anything different? If you guessed it's the hair, you're right! My hair is short now. I was kinda sad it was cut shorter than what I expected. But now, it grew a little and I think I'm beginning to love the hair at this length. I wore this top before in my previous post, just styled it differently by tying it up. Lately, I have been craving for white chunky platform heels, and I found this online and it's my size! I'm a size 2 or 2.5 UK, so it's a bit difficult for me sometimes to find affordable shoes that fits, especially heels.. make that chunky platform heels.. Well, this week would be my last week of holiday before I start the new semester. I think it would be the toughest semester I have to go through. Till then. :)

It's my first time ordering from ZALORA and I have to say, I'm happy with my purchase. I placed my order on a Friday, after 6p.m., and received it on Monday. I've been looking for a biker jacket. I saw this jacket on sale and I just gotta have it! Although, I do have that unsure feeling if I should really get it and that if it fits right. So, what should I do? Well, I used Zalora Fit Visualiser under the Size Detail tab, and it helps a lot in making my decision. What it does is compare the size of the clothes that you want, with the size of any similar clothes that you own. Problem solved! And if somehow there's a defect, the size isn't right, or I didn't like it for real, there's always an option of returning the item -for free! within 30 days that is..which is one of the shopping convenience that I like from ZALORA.

Anyway, I love the jacket! I really like the design of it, how the material and color just work. And the fact that it shimmers, makes the tweed jacket even more interesting. For this look, I'm going all white for the top and bottom by wearing a tee from SEA Citizen and white skinny jeans, layer with the jacket. Pair the outfit with a pair of chunky platform heels in black. I'm also wearing two different sunglasses in this look, one is in classic black which gives that classic look, and the other one is in neon yellow for color blocking. It shows that accessories does make a difference on how you look. :)

Hi guys! Happy New Year!!! I was excited to do this outfit shots for new year 2015. This look was inspired by many stuff that I like. Mostly from pretty pics on Instagram and the music I listened to. Idea just sparked, and I just can't help myself to make the vision come alive! I decided to wear the vintage pink denim jacket which it was my mom's jacket. What's interesting about it is that it's actually a custom-made design and it's an 80's style jacket. I find it very cool that its design doesn't look outdated like other 80's jacket. As for the top, I'm wearing SEA Citizen Sweet Pleat Tee in white, which is what I needed, tucked into the skinny jeans. Pair the outfit with the chunky platform heels which I really like that I bought online from Agape Boutique.

From the photoshoot set up to the hair and makeup, I pretty much done most of it by myself but it wouldn't be done smoothly without the tripod that I bought recently (my first ever tripod..haha) and with the help from Sue for doing my nails, pressing the shutter button (when I'm tired of going back and forth from the set to the tripod) and adding ideas to the shoot. :) Anyway, I'd like to thank my family, friends, and the ones that have been and still is following me for the support. I hope 2015 will bring more good news and new ideas! And I also hope you guys will have a fresh and good start this year! Stay strong, think positive, and don't give up!

At SEA Citizen Halloween Party

Hi guys! How's it going? Last month, SEA Citizen had a Halloween party at their HQ. I went as a Kitty, wearing the cat ear headband that I made with SEA Citizen's Baseball Jersey Tee and white jeans. Well, at first I planned to be Frankie Stein by chalking white streak on my hair and wearing the tee. But,,due to the amount of time that I have, I quickly switch to a Kitty. Kinda think of it, it's a good thing I brought the headband :) And hey, the outfit works! I look like a black and white tuxedo cat! I'm actually the decorator for the party. So it was fun decorating the place, and thanks to Sue (who bake delicious cookies at MozzySue Kitchen) for helping me out, especially reaching high places. haha.

There was a mini fashion show, showcasing their new collection which was modelled by a few beautiful ladies, including Syahira from StyleBySya. I also meet Becca again! If some of you didn't know, she's actually one of the Seventeen Cover Girl Search Finalists 2013. Everybody was mixing around, talking and enjoying taking photos. The party was great! and I sure had a good time. :D

Hi guys! Some of you may know about The Big Cleo Shoe Drop happened last month on the 13th of September. Well, here's me at The Big Cleo Shoe Drop at Midvalley Megamall, and this is what I wore on that day. I'm not sure why it took me so long to post this. But anyway, it's actually my first time going to this event. I've heard about the event last year, but I didn't go. So this year I thought, why not go. It'll be fun. And it was! I asked my sister to come along too. We arrived around 9am and already there were lots of people lining up. And at 9.30am, the queue starts to get longer. There were people who actually lined up and waited from 6am in the morning! How people are craaazay for shoes! :D While we were waiting, one of the Capital FM crew came to us and asked if we could do a survey, which we did and got ourselves a free T-Shirt. haha. We were in a group of 10 and only have 5 minutes to grab the shoes. The rule is, you gotta wear both shoes, the shoes have to fit and walk away with it right then and there. I managed to grab myself a pair of Melissa, which at first I thought there wouldn't be any shoes for my size. I can say that this is really an event you don't wanna miss! Hopefully Cleo will do this event again next year. I mean, com'on! who's gonna give you a free pair of shoes that's worth 600MYR?! :D

Hi guys! It's been a while that I haven't posted. I was busy finishing up all college projects as it is come to an end of my third semester. While other students are having their exam this week, as for the creative new media students, we've already started our holiday. Woohoo! :D (sorry guys..) Anyway, here's the new look which I'm wearing SEA Citizen's Jeggings in Jersey Blue. I like how comfortable it is and has a zipper details on the side. It also have their signature tangerine orange stitching details which you can see in the photos. If you noticed, I know I've said comfortable many times in the past few post, but it is. To me, so far SEA Citizen never fails to bring comfortable clothes. And they even describe it as 'Injecting “rock star” design into SEA Citizen’s comfy jeggings..' haha. Although, I do have to alter the waist because it was a bit loose for me. I'm sure you guys wouldn't have to, it's just me. So this is kinda like a summer to fall look. Oh yes, since fall has already started for other countries, I think it's good to have the jeggings in your closet. Even if it's not fall, like here, it's tropical. Hi guys! Here's a look which I'm wearing The Cropped Jacket in tangerine. I just love this jacket! I think it's pretty cool and perfect for summer. It's actually comfortable because it's made out of cotton and Poly Ponte Roma Knit Fabric. What is that? you might ask. Well, it's a fabric that is stable and firm, yet flexible and soft. It gives any structured clothing that comfort. Even though it's a jacket, because of the buttons are hidden behind the covered placket, it can also be a cropped top. 2 in 1! I'm a lil' bit of perfectionist so, I find that the quality of stitching is neat and good. And another thing that I love about this jacket is... that it is orange! Lol.

I decided to pair the jacket with the pretty floral pants that I found and bought from AEON Big. Yes. AEON Big. I'm surprised that they do sell some pretty trendy clothes. Hey guys! Here's another post of me wearing SEA Citizen Cape Sleeveless Top in white. Previously I styled it with leggings. This time, I paired it with flare jeans. If you have been following me, you'd probably noticed that lately I've been styling quite a lot with flares.. haha. (who said petite can't wear flares :) ) Well, I just like it. Which reminds me of a book I've read called Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon, where he wrote, "We all love things that other people think are garbage. You have to have the courage to keep loving your garbage, because what makes us unique is the diversity and breadth of our influences, the unique ways in which we mix up the parts of culture others have deemed "high" and the "low". When you find things you genuinely enjoy, don't let anyone else make you feel bad about it. Don't feel guilty about the pleasure you take in the things you enjoy. Celebrate them." For this look, I decided to tuck in the top and match the outfit with a pair of jelly wedges. As for my hair, honestly I thought of having it styled curly or loose curls, but then, rocking out my hair the way it is is way better which gives that 80s or 90s look to it. :) Since music is one of the reasons that influence how I would dress up, I'd say Classic by MKTO just goes with this look. I went out chillin' with my classmates the other day. Before that, we were actually supposed to go to this event somewhere in KL. But when we arrived at the event, there was nothing happening! Feeling totally bummed, we went to Sunway Pyramid instead. I was reluctant to go bowling at first, but because they kept insisting me to play, oh what the hey! :) My mojo's gone after the first game. lol. So, this is what I wear. I love how the look turned out, knitted with knitted! I also love the color combination and the feel of it. Just wanted to go for something casual, simple, yet interesting. Hi guys! What have you been up to lately? Well for me, it's been good. I'm already starting my third semester in Creative New Media this week. *shriek* Just can't wait for interface design class to start! (being geeky here.. haha. I'm just excited.) Anyway, another thing that I'm excited for is that I've found an interesting clothing brand! which is called SEA Citizen. They sell runway-inspired clothes at affordable prices! The clothes are designed in England, but made in South East Asia. What's more is that they have sizes ranging from a petite girl like me (I think I'm extra, extra petite actually.. lol), to plus-size girls! or should I say, phatabulous girls. ;) So everyone can wear 'em! Oh, and they also ship worldwide. :D

As you can see, I got myself the cape sleeveless top in white which I paired it with the star print leggings. I've also matched the outfit with the peep toe heels, which gives an illusion that I look taller! To complete the look, I decided to accessorize it with a faux gold metal belt and faux gold metal cuffs that I made. Makeup, red lipstick is a YES. Keeping it bold and simple. Honestly, you gotta iron the top, but it's super comfortable to wear! And what I like about the top is its design and cape detail. To me, it looks as though I'm wearing a short sleeve top but I'm actually not. haha. It's a different kind of cape top which you can't find it anywhere. I don't know why, but I just can't help to vision this look as a futuristic meets greek goddess going for a party or night out.. lol. Guess I was inspired by Havana Brown in her We Run The Night music vid. DIY Colored Stackable Rings

Hey guys! here's another diy project that I came up with and thought of sharing it with you. For this project, all you need to do is just string a bead or rhinestone of your choice and make a loop by inserting both of the cord's end through the crimp bead. Press the crimp bead with a flat-nose pliers and cut off the excess cord. And you're done! Don't forget to adjust to your ring size before you crimp it!

Hi guys! Here's an outfit that I wore for last week's adventure. Went to the national museum with my friends for our college research and also took some pictures with the parrots at the parrot booth. It was fun. :) So, for this outfit, I just put together a short sleeve patterned printed shirt with a pair of flare jeans and have the blazer tied. Since I'm wearing a flare jeans, a colored platform wedges for extra height and a handmade necklace, made by yours truly. ;) Till next time!

On Sunday morning of last week, I went on a family trip to Cameron Highland, also known as the Land of Strawberries and Tea. It was nice to sit in the car with the windows opened, enjoying the fresh cool air and beautiful scenery while the radio played Simon Webbe - After All This Time (I haven't heard that song for a long long time.) It actually makes you forget about everything for a while and to just relax. Live in the moment. Guess I have been thinking too much on trying to make things happen that I forget to. So when you think about it, and if you felt the same way as I do, it's okay to slow down. It actually helps to get new perspective of things or new ideas.

Anyway, here are pictures of me at the Tea Farm, Ye Olde Smokehouse and Lavender Garden. These are the places that I think you should stop by if you're planning to go there. The flowers are really beautiful! As for the food, it was yummy and the vegetables are big! There are still places that haven't been explored yet over there since it's just a one day activity. And..this is the outfit that I wore, which I thought of going for a sporty look. :)

Today's a new day and a new year! Welcome 2014! and goodbye to 2013. I would say that 2013 was an awesome year for me! as I get to model and be on the cover of a newspaper twice, being the top 2 finalists for Seventeen Malaysia Cover Girl Search 2013, watch my all time fave boy band NSYNC reunited and performed at the 2013 MTV VMAs (even though it was just a short performance. Wish it was longer.. lol) and pursuing my studies in Creative New Media. All thanks to my family, friends and everyone for supporting me. So, I hope 2014 would be another awesome year too! Not just for me, but for you too =) Have a Happy New Year!

Just an outfit that I wore to another photo shoot. The Hush Puppies bag caught my eye somehow when I was just browsing stuff in their store and I find it cool because it has 2 straps that you can change it to either a handbag or a sling bag. Plus, because of the color and its design, I can wear pretty much with any outfit. The Starck with Fossil digital watch is a gift from my mom. :) I really like the flare jeans because it fits me well and makes me look taller ;) yet I had to alter it at Taiping. Why all the way to Taiping? Because I know a shop that does a good and better job at it. Sorry KL..lol

Here are the Top 10 Finalists for Seventeen Cover Girl Search 2013 and I'm happy to announce that *drum roll* I'm one of them! Woo hoo! Yeah!! xD Ok, I'm just happy and thankful that I've made it as one of the Top 10 Finalists and hopefully get to be Seventeen Malaysia's Cover Girl 2013 (well, who wouldn't want it right?) I was quite anticipated when I got to know that they've already chosen their finalists. Since we as a human, can't seem to help ourselves to have that little negative thoughts crossed our minds which made me think that I wouldn't probably make it. But hey, I reminded myself that if I don't get it, at least I know that I've tried and there's nothing to lose. And at last, I am in :)

I had such a fun time on that day! I'm glad that I have my friends around to support me and it's been quite a long time I haven't seen them. So, I get to have not only a photoshoot, but also spending time with my friends. Honestly, it wouldn't be that fun if you don't bring your friends along for an event like this. I know you can still bring your parents or siblings, but it wouldn't be the same..lol. As you can see, I am wearing a pretty dress from TOMS Girl :) But truthfully, I'm not fond of dresses or skirts ever since I was young. Though, I do wear them sometimes back then but as I grow older, I prefer not to. Even if I do wear a dress or a skirt now, I would prefer wearing them with leggings or tights..it depends. And if it's a pair of shorts, I prefer them to be knee length. No matter, I'm just hoping that I get to wear more jeans or pants for any future photoshoot, that is if there is. Just letting you guys know what my preferences is which explains why most of my looks on LOOKBOOK are in jeans :)

Anyway, each year Seventeen Malaysia will held a Cover Girl Search and to those who wanted to enter can send in their entries via mail (if you fill out the form from the magazine) or via email (through online flyer by visiting their website) Don't forget to send your best recent photos and to smile too! and by best meaning being your best self. I'd like to wish anyone of you who's keen to enter for next year's search the best of luck! I have to say that this year, Seventeen made the voting system a bit different which they don't show the number of votes for each person. So it's quite hard to tell who's in the lead. But I'm pretty sure they have good reasons for it.

I'd also like to ask a little help from you guys to vote for me here if you think I make an awesome cover girl! I really appreciate it very much and thank all of you for doing so :D If I do win, I hope I get to share my happiness with you somehow. The picture below are actually the accessories that they've asked to bring. The shoes and bracelets are the accessories I own that I wore for this photoshoot and the FreshKon contact lens are actually freebies from Seventeen that they gave to all the finalists on that day. All in all, it is a wonderful experience! ;D
