The best advice i can give if anybody is just staring to learn guitar the songs you what to learn, Keep listening to the songs cds or whatever it is mp3.So youll get the feel of the timming and rythem.

But most importatly weather your right handed or left, Keep your strumming hand strumming and if your chord hand falls behind, Keep strumming and let your chord hand catch up dont stop your strumming hand.

There are online tuners to tune your guitar to standerd tuning, The recommended life span for guitar strings is six months, So renew your strings every six months.

There are some great songs out there to learn on guitar,By lots of great bands.If your just starting out i wouldn't go and by the best guitar and pay lost of money for it just something basic for starting of,I recommend you start learning on a acoustic guitar because they are harder to play then an electric guitar.

Start of with basic chords until you get a bit strenth in your hand and rythem,Then progress to bar chords,Guitar tab is another way of readying music i think its the best way of reading music for guitar anyway.
