The business did not survive and now a little over a year after the closing of my shop the debt is eating me up. I never thought I would utter the word 'bankruptcy' but it is something I am looking in to.

My dream is gone.

We finally got everything out last Thursday. I gave it 120% but the economy kicked my butt all over the place and cooperation from lender's and my landlords was zilch.

The building is now up for sale for 1/4 Million $$$$$, can we say greed...... a property that is worth $150,000 at the most and will sit empty for many months falling further and further into disrepair with each rain fall or snow melt.

I had the time of my life and don't regret one minute spent in the past 1 1/2 yrs. I gave it all I had but it was not meant to be.

Please shop your local small businesses instead of the big box stores. Save the small businesses in your community.

I Need YOU The People To Help Me Keep My Small Business

This is my antique shop, a business I have dreamed of owning for many years.

I have had the shop since August 2008 right before the recession and the changes in bank lending laws. I already have a loan and cannot borrow any more money thanks to the crooks in the banking and mortgage industry who brought about the changes in lending money.

My rent is $3,000 a month plus utilities of approx. $600. My current loan repayment is $1,500 monthly. In my business plan, at this point in time I should be making this amount plus a little extra but that is not the reality, I am not even making rent as of this month.

I live and breathe this business I work on inventory, advertising, marketing and networking 18 to 20 hours a day... that's right, sleep is lacking in my life at the moment.

If I have to close the business we will be forced to file bankruptcy and I don't even want to go there at this moment.

I am not one to beg or even ask for help but I don't know what else to do at this point. If I do have to close the shop it will affect people other than myself and my family. My landlords are in South Africa doing missionary work, they depend on my rent money to pay some of their expenses while they are doing God's work. They will lose a source of income and the building will probably go into foreclosure which would not be good for their future fundraising efforts nor their credit rating. It is not all about me and my dream.

The business is growing it is just taking longer than anticipated due to the economy. If I can pay my rent and bills through the holiday season we should be okay and on firm footing to survive.
