Right now we test new item build system wich supposed to be broken itembuild-free and simpler than old one. As you can guess new item builds are comming, aswell as new items for AI and even more. &lt;br /&gt;

Overally we plan to add and tweak many things ( such as dodge mech and gank system ) so this version will take a while, but I'm sure this one will be even more special than all previous AI maps combined.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
All the heroes need item builds made up for the new item system. I`m planning to overhaul Invoker`s AI too... as it got nerfed versions ago and he needs new combos, skill builds and maybe items. That is from us now. NIGHTMARE ... massive official map changes, too many broken skills, too many systems completely rewritten, too much caffeine, too many new AI heroes added...  This map was an equal nightmare and a new hope for a better times. We should all thank the AITeam and Cloud_str for devoting those months so you all can enjoy that fine map. In some words the biggest changes are: -captains mode active (AI will pick and ban), all heroes got AI now, completely rewritten defense mechanism, item buying system, new gank system and so many other changes... that you`ll have to read the whole changelog to find them.. although many of the changes are invisible for you but they are in the code.. believe me  And again: thank Cloud_str for all that as i was away most of the time and the AITeam testers who endured all those painful testing hours! They deserve it!&lt;br /&gt;
What is AI 1.0 - we plan to release a more BMP style incremental releases which will include only AI code changes. We will change only the AI numbers in those incremental revisions.&lt;br /&gt;

We discussed the release with Cloud_str and we came to conclusion that we need a little more developing time. During that time, many heroes will get their long anticipated AI, so i guess at the end the long waiting will be rewarded.&lt;br /&gt;
Basically the good news outbid the bad news of the delay: we get more AI for the heroes, bugs get fixed and skill usages get refined. Cloud_Str is a coding machine :) and every dev day means new amazing things and possibilities in the DotA AI world. It has been a long summer full of work and some vacations with my family. Work on the script progresses slowly as all of the coding members of the AITeam are busy with RL. But it progresses :) By looking at the list with pending changes, porting 6.72 is somewhat needing one final and dedicated blow to finish. I fixed Invoker`s AI last week and it is working good. The other broken AIs will feel the love too after we finish porting the script.&lt;br /&gt;

AI have bonus rate in XP and GOLD. Human rate is 100% XP and 1 GOLD / 0.875s (8G / 7s). AI rate is higher than that.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, when AI hero kills, he gets -15% xp, and -4G/7s (from current bonus rate) and if the current rate is higher than the starting rate, it resets to starting rate&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When AI hero dies, he gets + 15% xp, and +4G/7s (to current bonus rate), if current rate is lower than starting rate, it resets to starting rate&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When AI hero gets an assist, he gets -7% xp and -2G/7s (from current bonus rate)&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Min rate for AI is human rate (it won't get lower than that), there is no max rate&lt;br /&gt;

I started reviewing the changes which AITeam made while i was gone.&lt;br /&gt;
It seems that 6.71b is ready for a release apart from some AI corrections on my part... which i`ll have to do in the next days or next week.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On 6.72... most things are ported... really nice progress. I have to do some verification process but tests are showing fine results.&lt;br /&gt;
There is a new AI gold/exp system in the works which will make those pwnage AIs less rewarded and the underachievers getting back in game.&lt;br /&gt;
So i`m planning on 6.71b release, then 6.72a with pwnage Slark and then maybe 6.72c.&lt;br /&gt;
6.72a and c will have 2 versions (with and without dynamic exp/gold).&lt;br /&gt;
Those are my plans... for now. They may change if something unexpected happens.&lt;br /&gt;

Loads of work on porting and then fixing the AI heroes... and you can bet that the changes port will be a breeze compared to fixing the AI.&lt;br /&gt;
So.. the plan is-&gt; 6.71b AI release first and then 6.72(x). But i`m not happy with the amount of work needed for 6.72 AI release. It wont happen soon too.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Also the new hero: Rubick... as i`m reading his skills, i think that i can make him an Invoker v2.0. It is like the many crashing skills which were slightly rewritten for AI map likeness. But so you know.. don`t use the skill when playing... i`m not sure about AI Treant tho. Skill should be fixed for next version... &lt;b&gt;OH and i`m now working on an old pwnage hero who got 2 skills remade and went into the trash bin. I hope he soon _greatbashes_ your heads to the oblivion :)) hohoho&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;

I spent the day tweaking Invoker some more. He`ll probably has better retreating behavior and a little better early harassing. Also he has 3 item builds now... he is such an awesome hero :)&lt;br /&gt;

His Walrus Punch was a big problem because it crashed the game 100% when used. We tried to fix it but the skill is rewritten and you may experience bugs (extra critical hits) with it. Either rewritten or 100% crash on use. Some of the skills are just not AI map compatible. Things are going smooth... i can say smoother than ever. Here is my first test of the 2 new imported heroes: Phoenix and Tuskarr.&lt;br /&gt;

Speaking of AI... i`m very glad of the feedback i`m getting about Invoker`s AI. I`ll continue tweaking his reactions and hopefully he`ll be even better in the next releases. Some day he might have different skill builds, item builds and skills combos corresponding to his builds. It`s a complex system with a very fragile balance.. and one must be very careful to not disturb the equilibrium (great movie btw). Here some quotes:&lt;br /&gt;

I was chasing him once with Pudge when he was at about 100 hp and then I was like "Shit, the fucker Ghost Walks too." Tried to hook him but I don't use low dodge mode, so I failed.&lt;br /&gt;

But the most impressive is his APM. My laning APM is quite high, but from mid-game, it drops to between 90 and 110. That Invoker had close to 150 and, &lt;b&gt;most importantly, he changes his balls at hyper speed without ever having to stop&lt;/b&gt;. That was quite impressive.&lt;br /&gt;

I have to say, I was not disappointed. He's a great team player and he's pretty decent. One of the best AI laners in the game right now. He was my ally and solo mid and, by 6 mins, my cs was 27/7 and his was 26/9. I raged.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Well, he was farming about 45 mins in a game and he was ganked by a Balanar, Luna, KotL and Venge.&lt;br /&gt;
He ultra-killed them. Blast/Meteor then Tornado while he Manta Styled and auto-attacked the four of them. His Linkens apparently saved him from being silenced by Balanar. I believed he used his Alacrity afterwards. Can't remember.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;b&gt;That release should be memorized as the first one with AI for Kael, Invoker. I think he has a room for improvement but let`s see how it goes . I would like to see feedback for his accomplishments. He usually starts slow, but after he gets lower Invoke cd and enough mana... things get HOT!&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
