Things that made me happy this weekend:

Finally I had a better sleep. Normally kasi I only have 5-6 hours of sleep everyday.
Was able to unclutter the mess in my room.
Watched the Game of Thrones. My boyfriend and I got so hooked with the series.
Gave Pinkett and Mumble a bath. haha
Painted my nails with different colors.
Ate pizza and pasta and adobo. yum!
Got a new sofa set.
Blogged more than once.

Jonathan gifted me this pair of Shoes. Thank you,bibs!Last Monday, my officemates surprised me with a birthday cake and greetings. They are the sweetest. I was stormed by their preparation. I didn't expect it. Then after work, my boyfriend and I went to church to hear mass. It was just a simple celebration of my birthday. Here's to another year of experience. =D

Sporting the Conserve sneakers that my boyfriend got from a thrift store in Surigao. It's still in good condition. I've been wanting to buy a pair of sneakers but my boyfriend did it for me na. Actually inutusan ko sya coz I heard ukay shoes are way cheaper in our little city. He got this for only 150 pesos. Score! Magaling na rin mgukay si boyfriend. tehehe

Yes! my outfit for Bubba Gump is in a separate post. (Maarte lang talaga ako.haha.) This is what I wore when we ate at Bubba Gump. Lo and behold, this is my first time to wear a long skirt since high school. I have been told that wearing long skirt in not for me since I'm not skinny and tall and all that.And I believed them. Since then, I avoid the skirt section whenever I go thrifting. But when I came across this skirt in a thrift store, I just can't resist buying it. I love the color and the breezy flowy feel(yung ganung effect). Whether it's bagay to me or not, I don't care basta ba I feel so comfortable in it. I can wear it to sleep without a blanket on.Ganyan sya ka comfy.haha. It's good thing that I'm experimenting on clothes now. A big Thank You to all lovely and fashionable bloggers for inspiration. I think I'll try maxi dresses naman next year!ha ha! ambisyosa much. This is the last day of the year. I have been so blessed this year and I can't wait for what 2012 has to offer! Let's rock the year of the Dragon! Cheers!

Bubba Gump

I've been wanting to eat at Bubba Gump. I read good reviews about it. And finally last Monday, my friends and I dined in here. This cozy restaurant is inspired by the movie Forrest Gump hence, the interior. As you browse through my photos you will notice that some of the furniture and decorations are stirred up from the movie. Lots of memorabilia. The foods are amazingly pleasant-tasting but a bit pricey. They have these cute signboards that are used in calling the waiter's attention. This blue license plate tells the waiters to just keep doing what they're doing and just flip it to 'Stop Forrest Stop' when you are requesting the waiter's attention. Cute eh?! that's Barbra Streisand, right? Shrimper's Heaven. It has 4 variations. We have the coconut shrimp, chilly shrimp, fried shrimp and japanese style tempura shrimp with fries. Hello blogosphere! How are you? I missed you.
It's really been a long time since I updated this blog. I was not that busy at all I was just too lazy to blog. Bad Cheetah! Then I realized I have only one entry for December though a lot of things have happened. I should have documented them in my blog. Anyways, before Jonathan flew back home, we had christmas dinner date first at Conti's in Greenbelt.(And yes I wasn't able to go home for christmas because work didn't allow me.) We enjoyed dining there. We want to go back and try other food and dishes.

I've been to a number eat-all-you-can restaurants and I must say Yakimix is the best so far. Yesterday, Jonathan and I celebrated our 4th year anniversary. And since we both love foods(ebidensya ang katawan), we decided to celebrate it in a little fancy restaurant.(Gusto ko sana sa Paris but wala kami moolah, so sa Makati na lng.hahaha.)We were searching for a good one via munchpunch.com. Munchpunch.com is like a database of reviews, menus, promos and list of restaurants in Philippines. You might wanna check it for reference. Anyways, we read good reviews about Yakimix so we decided to try it ourselves. Jonathan made a phone call few days before the dinner to make a reservation but staff said there's no need for reservation any longer, we just have to come early on Friday. Come Friday. Jonathan arrived at Greenbelt earlier than me 'coz my workday ends at 6 o'clock. He came 5:30 only to find out that all tables are occupied and we are 7th on the list of waiting customers. We patiently waited and finally at 7:30, we were ushered to our table. I'm glad we acquired the best spot. Worth the wait,indeed!

Hungry and excited, we happily filled our plates with different types of sushi, sashimi and other Japanese foods. Jonathan grilled raw fish, barbecue and some sea foods. It's the grilling part that he's in to.
The foods in buffet area consists of Japanese, Cantonese and Korean dishes. They also serve some Filipino foods like Lechon Kawali, stuffed amapalaya, mushrooms, kangkong something and more.
After the heavy and main dishes, we headed back to buffet area to grab some desserts.There is a wide selection of cakes, cookies and pastries. And this Leche Flan is so delicious. I haven't eaten leche flan for a long time. wow. and of course scoops of ice cream to end our meal.
We went home happy and satisfied. We strongly recommend Yakimix. Foods are delicious. Ambience is good and the service is surprisingly great.

my best friend's birthday

My best friend celebrated her birthday with us last Friday. Her name is Irish and I haven't introduced her yet in my blog. We've known each other since Grade 1. We've been best friends since Grade 3, I think. She has a very nice personality. She excels in everything she does. She knew all my problems and struggles in life. We were so close like sisters back then. But now, we don't hang out like we used to anymore. We're both busy with our work. I have a lot of things to tell her pa but we have limited time. I miss her. I miss the OLD US. We'll, so much for the drama. I'm still glad she chose to celebrate her birthday with our barkada. I'm happy that we made her happy on her special day. Happy Birthday Irish. I love yah!

Good morning!
Ako'y ngbabalik from my Davao trip. Masaya na nakakapagod. With my 4 days na stay sa Davao, kulang pa rin ang oras para mamasyal. Pero hindi ko pinalampas ang durian session with my friends, Audrey and Nicole. For so long, ngcrave ako sa prutas na ito. Mahal to sa Manila. 200+/kilo. WTF! Eh 50 pesos lang to Mindanao. It smells like hell but tastes like heaven, sabi nila. But for me, it smells and tastes like heaven.period.nyehehe. I actually gained 2 kilos in Davao. But that's ok as long as I satisfied my craving for durian. Solve na.

I love my work and so far I have been very productive in this area. In fact, I'm so happy today because I was able to accomplish something that boosts my confidence. I thank God for giving me this job and opportunity. IT world is so challenging and at the same time fun. Everyday is a learning experience. And next week, I will be going to Davao for my first ever business trip. I'm excited. Traveling and work combined.Perfect. I hope I can go on like this forever and be motivated always.

Last Friday, Jonathan and I had a dinner date in Market Cafe, Hyatt Hotel. It's Jeyson's brithday gift to his brother. And Jeyson knew what would make his brother happy - a date with me. HA HA! It's a romantic and sweet moment. We did enjoy the foods and the drinks too.Happy birthday again, Jonathan my love!

First time kong gumawa ng wish list. Naisip ko, mas maganda siguro kung isulat ko na lang para may constant reminder ako. Lagi na lang kasing mental wish list e. Laging nakakalimutan.

I always think of positive things lalo na pag stressed na stressed na si lola. They serve as my inspiration para mgsipag lalo sa work. Charing! Masipag daw o?!Lokohan na 'to.haha
So lately, ito ang mga gusto kong iachieve.

ShoesI remember when I was still studying,I only had a few pairs of shoes. A pair of slippers is okay na nga e nong college ako. I never paid much attention to shoes. But now, things have changed.lol. Gusto ko na ng maraming shoes. I admit working in a corporate world is a big factor. I would always want to look good and feel good about myself. And wearing nice footwear is an important ingredient. Nikon v1 I still want a dslr type na camera na magaan. A bulky camera is a no no to me. This one's perfect 'coz it's sleek and produces good quality photos. Mahalia nga lang. Bed with white sheetsNothing is more relaxing than lying on clean and white sheets. A bed so big na you can roll over pa.lol. A trip to EuropeWho wouldn't want to travel around Europe? This has been my dream ever since. I feel happy whenever I watch movies filmed in Italy, France, Austria etc. Imagine yourself eating in historic restaurants, walking around cool and beautiful villages, chatting with friendly and warm Europeans. These things excite me. So let's Europe, my friends! ConcertsI'm a fan of concerts and loud crowd. When I was in college, I used to watch concerts of pinoy bands. This time I wanna try foreign bands/performers naman. Too bad black eyed peas concert tickets are already sold out! More pa please.

Morning everyone!

Dahil hindi ako tinamad mgblog,I'm going to share more photos of my trip.Today's post is about the famous restaurant in Palawan - The Kalui Restaurant. Your trip wouldn't be complete if you don't visit and dine in this cool place. They have this unique style. The place is so cozy and beautiful. It is full of paintings and native designs. I was amazed kasi you have to walk barefoot as you enter the place. I don't mind na nakapaa because the floor is very clean and well polished. naalala ko tuloy bahay namin na walang kasig kintab ang sahig.haha. I was so giddy and excited to try their foods. Our waiter is handsome and he has a voice like of a DJ. Kinilig kami sa boses nya.haha. While waiting for our orders, we took advantage of the place. We saw this very cute sala and took photos of every corner of the resto.

Foods are the best! Since we want to get rid of pork and Manila foods, we ordered seafoods and vegetables. sizzling seafood sisig squid seafood kangkong tempura kaka all-veggies dessert. this is for free. us, so hungry and excited to lamon. we ate sumptuously. they have this amazing collection of paintings. would you believe this is the restroom? ganda sobra. pede na maging bedroom.haha So guys, if you happen to visit Puerto Princessa, you should not miss this restaurant. I strongly recommend.It's a must visit. At lahat na. ;)

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River

And I'm back. yohoo! I have lots of stories to tell or lets say photos to share about my Puerto Prinesa getaway. My friends and I planned this trip last February and luckily we got a promo fare of only 1,500 pesos for our back and forth travel. It was a good deal indeed! And so Thursday of last week, we were so excited and we're good to go!

While waiting for our flight, we saw somebody wearing same outfit. Award! Sayang di ko na nakunan ng photo so you can compare who wore it better.haha.joke!

We arrived 9am in the airport. First in our itinerary is the famous Underground River. From the city proper, we have to travel 2 hours by van going to Sabang, a town where subterranean river is located.

I was with my college barkada. It was sort of a reunion for us also. We barely see each other because of work. Happy people we are!
