We have a double header interview for you this week, Phil Dobbie. Having headed marketing for the likes of OzEmail, Engin and the British Tourist Authority, Phil has a wealth of experience in many fields such as Marketing and Broadcasting. Phil now produces daily podcasts for BNet, talking business with key influencers in Australia. Mike spoke to Phil primarily about digital radio in Australia.

Then Craig Jackson joined Mike to speak about The BRAVIA WE5 from Sony. It has never been more important to consider cutting down on energy use and reducing household energy bills. Sony’s new energy-efficient TV has arrived in Australia and New Zealand to help consumers reduce their power consumption. The BRAVIA WE5 – has been designed with unique energy-saving features, such as the “Presence Sensor” that automatically turns off the TV when no one is detected in the room and more, Craig Jackson spoke to Mike about the benefits of the Television and LCD Televisions in General.

Back from our one month mid-year hiatus, The Ploy is coming to you recorded live this week, for the first time we did a live show using UStream. While this episode didn’t involve any call ins from listeners we did get a call-in from ‘Daisy’ aka Shannon. Ben’s ‘partner’ and that is something to stick around for. By doing the show Live you can also now watch the video of the show as it happened, unfortunately we could only organise video of Paul this time around, we hope to change that in future episodes.

For 20 Years Angela Bishop has been Network Ten’s National Entertainment Reporter and one of Australia’s most recognisable faces.

Reporting on key Entertainment News stories for ‘Ten News’, ‘HINCH’, ‘Alan Jones Live’ and ‘E! News’ as well as contributing to ‘The Panel’ and ‘Good Morning Australia’ she has covered some of the major Entertainment News stories of the last 2 decades.

She can be seen regularly on Ten News at Five and she presents an extended Entertainment Wrap Thursday Mornings on Ten Morning News at 11am. Angela can also be found on Twitter.

Angela spoke to Mike from Ten’s News Centre in Sydney about her career, some of her favourite interviews including one of the final with Audrey Hepburn and why she has stuck around at Ten for 20 Years.

We have a jam packed special this week! Paul Tevis from Women Need Us hosts this special edition of The Ploy featuring interviews with Kirsty DeVallance and Vincent Giarrusso.

Kirsty DeVallance is a co-founder of ‘A Cast of Thousands‘ a company which casts various reality programs including ‘Project Runway Australia’ and ‘Masterchef’. Mike spoke with her about how the company works and what should someone do if they want to get on Television.

Vincent Giarrusso was part of ARIA award winning group Undergound Lovers who wrote, directed and composed the beautiful AFI Award winning film ‘Mallboy‘. In which its lead Kane McNay won a AFI for his portrayal of Shaun a troubled adolescent. Partly inspired by Giarrruso’s experience in Social Work. Mike asked Vincent how the movie came about and a bit about his work with Underground Lovers.
