Radio Personality Michael Reagan joins Mike Horn on this Special Weekend Edition of The PM Show!

Chadwick Steven "Chad" McQueen (born December 28, 1960) is an American actor, film producer, martial artist and race car driver. He was born in Los Angeles, California to American actor Steve McQueen and Filipino actress Neile Adams.

Personal life

McQueen was married to Stacey Toten from 1987 to 1990. Together they had one son, actor Steven R. McQueen, who is currently playing the role of Jeremy Gilbert in the tv series The Vampire Diaries. Chad is also the stepbrother of producer and screenwriter Josh Evans (through his father's marriage to Ali MacGraw).

Film

McQueen has worked as a film actor for some time, appearing as Dutch in The Karate Kid and "The Karate Kid Part II", and many other roles including a role in the 1995 film New York Cop with Mira Sorvino and in the action films "Red Line" and Death Ring. He has also worked as a producer, winning a Telly Award for his documentary Filming at Speed. He has appeared on numerous television programs related to motorsports, including Hot Rod TV and Celebrity Rides.

Racing career

McQueen's racing career began early as he piloted a Porsche 917 from his father's lap while shooting the film Le Mans. He teamed with Belgian racing legend Jacky Ickx and his daughter Vanina, piloting a trio of Porsche 959s restored by Porsche Motorsports for the 2004 Goodwood event.

McQueen has competed in several types of racing from Motocross to the Baja 1000. At age 6, he won his class in the World Mini Grand Prix. In 2004, he qualified for the SCCA Runoffs, winning multiple events. Racing for Westernesse Racing, he finished 4th.

In January 2006, he was seriously injured (suffering a broken lower left leg, as well as a pair of fractures to his vertebrae and multiple rib fractures) in an accident at the Daytona International Speedway while practicing for the 24 Hours of Daytona Sports Car race. McQueen now says that his driving days are over. He returned to Daytona during the 2007 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona race to thank the medics and track workers who he says saved his life.^[1]

In November 2007, he returned to the Daytona International Speedway and got behind the wheel of the Brumos 1975 Ecurie Escargot RSR, driving it in the exhibitions at the Rennsport Reunion III.

In January 2010, he started McQueen Racing LLC, a company which partners with leaders in the motorcycle and custom car industries to create limited edition high performance motorcycles and automobile transbrakes.

Sweet Dick Whittington (born 1934) is a long-time disc jockey in Los Angeles, who has also appeared as an actor in movies and on television.

Prior to his arrival in Southern California, Whittington was a popular radio personality in the San Francisco Bay area at Oakland's KROW (960 AM), where he hosted the "Night Watchman" overnight program, and, later, a weekday afternoon show, from 1955 to 1958. In the fall of 1958, he moved to KSFO (560 AM) in San Francisco, as host of the 9 p.m. to midnight program. He began his stint in Los Angeles at KABC 790 AM, doing a one-hour talk show weekdays and a 3-hour Sunday talk show from 1965-1969. In 1969, he moved to KGIL.

His greatest fame in the Los Angeles market was in the morning drive time slot at KGIL AM 1260 in the "Sin Fernando Valley". For a brief time, he left KGIL to do the evening drive time slot at KFI AM 640. He also was briefly heard in the late 1980s on KIEV (870 AM) and, for a few months in 1989, was back at KABC AM. (see list below). According to the entry in www.laradio.com, he has retired and is writing a novel.

Many people regard his broadcast style as being ahead of its time. Rather than the "happy morning to you" type of radio personality, he often spoke on the air about things that bothered him and foreshadowed the Howard Stern era of speaking your mind. At stations where he was still spinning records, he would many times interrupt a song midway through saying, "I like it up to that point, then I get bored."

One of Whittington's notable film roles was as the disc jockey in the TV movie "Duel", Steven Spielberg's directorial debut. He can also be seen briefly as a ring announcer in Martin Scorsese's "Raging Bull."

He now lives in the San Luis Obispo area and is the image voice for radio station KKJL-AM (adult standards).

Carol Connors (born Annette Kleinbard, November 13, 1940, New Brunswick, New Jersey) is a retired American singer-songwriter. She is perhaps best known as the lead vocalist on The Teddy Bears' single, "To Know Him Is To Love Him", which was written by her band mate Phil Spector.

She was the lead singer of the pop vocal trio known as The Teddy Bears, which also included Phil Spector. The Teddy Bears' only major hit, "To Know Him Is To Love Him", which Spector wrote specifically to showcase Connors' singing voice, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1958.^[1] Immediately upon hearing the song, 23 year old Elvis Presley, who was then serving in the United States Army in Germany, requested his aides to contact her, eventually getting his wish to meet her personally when he returned to the US, in March 1960. A serious relationship between them followed, which lasted several years. After their initial hit, the trio disbanded because of the failure of their follow-up singles, and the fact that Spector preferred working behind the scenes to performing.

Some years later she legally changed her name to Carol Connors. She co-wrote (with Ayn Robbins and Bill Conti) "Gonna Fly Now", the theme song from the film, Rocky, which earned her an Academy Award nomination. Carol Connors sang the theme to the cult film, Orca, called "We are One".

Other songwriting credits include the Rip Chords' 1964 hit "Hey Little Cobra", plus the 1980 Billy Preston/Syreeta Wright duet "With You I'm Born Again". In addition for "Madonna in the Mirror"; the 1994 title track "For All Mankind" on the debut album of Italian singer Guendalina Cariaggi, which was used as the theme song for a documentary produced by Pier Quinto and Lara Cariaggi, on the legends of soccer and the FIFA World Cup;^[2] plus the finale song on A&E's 15 Films About Madonna;^[3] and three songs - "Condi, Condi", "I Think of You so Fondly", and "Chill, Condi, Chill" - for Courting Condi (2008).

She also co-composed three songs for the soundtrack of the 1977 Disney film, The Rescuers: "Tomorrow Is Another Day", "The Journey" and "Someone's Waiting for You". In 1983 Connors was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award, for the 'Worst Original Song' for "It's Wrong for Me to Love You", from Butterfly, which she co-composed with Ennio Morricone.

Robert James "Bob" Miller (born October 12, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American sportscaster, best known as the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Kings team of the National Hockey League on Fox Sports West/Prime Ticket. Miller has held that post with the team since 1973 and has been partnered with Jim Fox since 1990.

Miller received his degree in communication studies from the University of Iowa. While there, he began his broadcasting career, covering the school's football and basketball games.^[1]

After his graduation in 1960, Miller began working in television sports journalism in Wisconsin. He later would add announcing duties for the football and hockey teams at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.^[2]

In 1972, Jiggs McDonald, the Kings' original play-by-play announcer, left the team to join the expansion Atlanta Flames. Kings owner Jack Kent Cooke, who was also the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team, put Lakers' announcer Francis "Chick" Hearn in charge of the search for McDonald's replacement. Miller sent tapes to Hearn and earned Hearn's recommendation for the position. However, Cooke decided to hire long-time San Francisco Bay Area announcer Roy Storey.^[3]

When Storey left the team after one season, the Kings turned their attention back to Miller, who was then hired in 1973 and has been their play-by-play announcer since.^[4] He has performed voice over and on-camera work for television shows and movies in scenes which included a hockey announcer. Among his credits are an episode of Cheers and the films Rollerball, Miracle on Ice, The Mighty Ducks and D2: The Mighty Ducks. Nationally, he has worked for ESPN and FOX. He also called some games for FX during the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.

Miller was inducted into the broadcaster's wing of the Hockey Hall of Fame as the 2000 recipient of the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award,^[5] into the Los Angeles Kings Hall of Fame,^[6] into the Wisconsin Hockey Hall of Fame and into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame.^[7] The press box at Staples Center, the Kings' home arena, is named in his honor.

He received the 2,319th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 2, 2006. At the ceremony he noted, "My greatest fear is that I retire and the Kings win a Stanley Cup the next year."^[4]
Miller's broadcast partners have included Dan Avey, Rich Marotta, current Kings radio voice Nick Nickson and Pete Weber, the voice of the Nashville Predators. Miller's current broadcast partner is former Los Angeles Kings player Jim Fox.^[8]

Miller's first book, Tales From the Los Angeles Kings, was published in October 2006.^[9]

Miller is married, and he and his wife Judy have two children.^[2]

Francine York (August 26, 1938 – ) is an American movie actress. She was born Francine Yerich, the daughter of Frank and Sophie Yerich, in Aurora, Minnesota. At an early age she developed an interest in performance. She won a local beauty contest then placed first runner-up in the Miss Minnesota pageant. After attempting a career as an airline stewardess, then winning the Miss San Francisco beauty contest and working as a model, she became an actress.

Francine was born in a small mining town in northern Minnesota called Aurora to her parents Frank and Sophie Yerich. She won all the declamation contests she entered in high school and also starred in all the class plays. Her drama coach wrote in her yearbook, "To Francine, I know someday you will be a success in Hollywood because you have the talent." Well, Hollywood was still a long way away for 17-year-old Francine. But then, an opportunity came up in a beauty contest which was part of the Miss America Pageant. Francine entered locally, became "Miss Eveleth", and Runner-up in Miss Minnesota. Her first modeling jobs started locally after that.

Moving to Minneapolis, she got a job modeling sweaters for Jane Richards Sportswear and began traveling all over the U.S., ending up in San Francisco. Taking a modeling course at the "House of Charm" School and Agency, started her off on a fabulous modeling career for all the department store ads (Macy's, Magnins, ect.) . But a new opportunity arose...the Miss San Francisco Pageant, which she entered and was Runner-up, only to take over the title because the winner got ill. The Maid of California Beauty Contest followed, which she was also Runner-up. By this time, Hollywood beckoned. She then met Mary Meade French who brought Francine to Hollywood and was her first agent.

A series of commercials followed: Chrysler, Betty Crocker, Valley Federal Bank, Chevrolet, and many more. She soon stared in her first feature called "Secret File Hollywood" which was premiered in her home town of Aurora for all the town to see. To this day, she says this was the biggest thrill of her life seeing the whole town, the press, her parents, grandparents, and all her friends, plus the high school band turned out at the airport to greet her. This was just the beginning though, as soon she was discovered by Jerry Lewis and six films followed, starting with "It's Only Money"," The Nutty Professor", "Family Jewels". "The Patsy", "Disorderly Orderly", and her last with him in 1982 where she plays a noble woman with a French accent from the 15th century called "Cracking Up". She also went on to star with Marlon Brando and David Niven in "Bedtime Story" for Universal Studios.

During this period, she also appeared in many Max Factor Cosmetic ads showing here and in Europe. Her makeup artist was Hal King who was Lucille Ball's makeup man all during the "Lucy" series. Francine's vast interest in nutrition put her on the covers of such national magazines as Let's Live, Fitness Plus, and others. Her appearances on fashion pages of the STAR, and National Enquirer have been numerous, and Mr. Blackwell's A-1 Dress List. She is also a gourmet cook and has hosted dinners for sometimes as many as 80-100 with such stars as Clint Eastwood, Peter Ustinov, Glenn Ford, Rex Harrison, and her many more. Her recipes have also appeared in both Hollywood movie magazines and health magazines.

Some of Francine's other credits are "Curse of the Swamp Creature" (now a cult film), "Tickle Me" with Elvis Presley, "Cannon for Corboda" (shot in Spain with George Peppard), George Stevens' "The Greatest Story Ever Told," "Sergeant Was A Lady for Universal, etc. She starred with Bob Hope and Eva Marie Saint in "School for Bachelors". As Venus De Milo on "Bewitched"; as the agricultural student all the men fell in love with on "Green Acres" Soon Irwin Allen, famous disaster film producer, discovered her talents and soon starred her in "Lost in Space" as the infamous Queen Niolani, "Land of the Giants" as Dr. North, "The Flood" as Robert Culp's girlfriend, "Time Traveler", a pilot for ABC which she played a scientist, "Luxury Liner" opposite Robert Stack, "Batman Soon Came Up" opposite Roddy McDowell (as Lydia Limpit) his girl . That got her a story in Saturday Evening Post and later she was known as one of the Bat Girls. "The Streets of San Francisco", "Columbo", "Kojak", "Wild Wild West", "Police Story", "Mission Impossible", "Riptide", and "Perry Mason" all followed.

Some of her other television shows were "Ohara U.S. Treasury" opposite David Janssen and "Police Story". On "Days of Our Lives" she played the notorious blackmailer Lorraine Temple, and on "General Hospital" Thelma, and infamous madam from Florida. She also starred in "Mama's Family", "Brothers", "Mr. Belvedere". "Matlock" opposite Andy Griffith, and she recently Guest Starred in "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Lois & Clark" (the new Superman) and "Marilyn Is Alive" Starring as Marilyn Monroe.

Still a striking woman even in her 70s, Francine is a regular on the sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" (2010), in which she plays a British soap opera star opposite Wendie Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Betty White.

Phyllis Davis

Phyllis Davis (born July 17, 1940, in Port Arthur, Texas) is an American actress who appeared primarily on television. She was most notably a part of the cast of Aaron Spelling's dramatic series Vega$, playing the character Beatrice Travis.

She studied at Lamar College and attended acting classes at the Pasadena Playhouse.
She appeared in "Love, American Style" (1969) for five seasons. Some of her film appearances include Lord Love a Duck (1966), Spinout (1966), Russ Meyer's Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970), The Choirboys (1977), and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995).

Davis also appeared in television series such as Knight Rider: she played the role of the villainous Tanya Walker in the pilot episode "Knight of the Phoenix." She had guest roles in Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., Magnum, P.I., The Love Boat, and was a regular performer in the vignettes in Love, American Style. She was a Match Game panelist on occasion and appeared on a Battle of the Network Stars special.

Born Stephen Leibowitz, 8 July 1935, Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. The son of a cantor in a Brooklyn synagogue, Lawrence was in the Glee club at Thomas Jefferson High School, where he began studying piano, saxophone, composition and arranging. He made his recording debut for King Records at the age of 16. The record, "Mine And Mine Alone", based on "Softly Awakes My Heart" from Samson & Delilah, revealed an remarkably mature voice and style. Influenced by Frank Sinatra, but never merely a copyist, Lawrence's great range and warmth earned him a break on Steve Allen's Tonight television show, where he met, sang with and later married Eydie Gorme. He recorded for Coral Records and had his first hit in 1957 with "The Banana Boat Song". It was the infectious "Party Doll" which gave him a Top 5 hit in 1957 and he followed that same year with four further, although lesser successes, namely "Pum-Pa-Lum", "Can't Wait For Summer", "Fabulous" and "Fraulein". During his US Army service (1958-60) he sang with military bands on recruiting drives and bond rallies.

Back home he and Eydie embarked on a double act, their most memorable hit being "I Want To Stay Here" in 1963. As Steve And Eydie they made albums for CBS Records, ABC Records and United Artists Records, including Steve And Eydie At The Movies, Together On Broadway, We Got Us, Steve And Eydie Sing The Golden Hits and Our Love Is Here To Stay, the latter a double album of great George Gershwin songs, which was the soundtrack of a well-received television special. Lawrence, on his own, continued to have regular hits with "Portrait Of My Love" and "Go Away Little Girl" in 1961/2, and enjoyed critical success with albums such as Academy Award Losers and Portrait Of My Love. As an actor he starred on Broadway in What Makes Sammy Run?, took the lead in Pal Joey in summer stock, and has acted in a crime series on US television. During the 70s and 80s he continued to record and make television appearances with Gorme, with the couple gaining a record-breaking seven Emmys for their Steve And Eydie Celebrate Irving Berlin special. The couple also joined Frank Sinatra on his Diamond Jubilee Tour in 1991.

The combination of President Barack Obama and George Clooney turned out to be quite a draw. Clooney’s May 10^th fundraiser for the president’s reelection bid has sold out, raising an estimated $12 million for the campaign. Supporters paid $40,000 each to dine with Obama and the Ocean’s Eleven star at Clooney’s Los Angeles home. That raised $6 million, with additional money coming from individuals who entered a contest to win a chance to sit at a table with the two big names.

SHAQUILLE O'NEAL THE BIG GRADUATE

Shaquille O'Neal received his doctoral degree in Education from Barry University yesterday -- and no, it was not honorary ... he earned it! Shaq -- wearing a custom-made, bright red XXXL-sized gown -- was one 1,100 students honored during the commencement ceremonies at the James L. Knight Center in downtown Miami. On earning the degree, Shaq said, "Everyone thinks this is honorary. But this is not honorary. I put in four and a half hard years staying up late at night, studying, reading, rewriting papers Dr. Kopp marked up." Shaq says he is considering going to law school next.

ANDRE 3000 IS BECOMING JIMI HENDRIX FOR THE BIOPIC ALL IS BY MY SIDE

Andre 3000 has been selected to play Jimi Hendrix in the upcoming biopic All Is By My Side. The production begins shooting this June in Ireland and we could not be more stoked to see the former Outkast member take a stab at cinematic greatness. The last time this guy got his acting swagger on was in 2008, on the FX show The Shield, but if our memory serves us correctly, we thought he held his own in Four Brothers and Semi-Pro. It's time to dust off those acting chops and get in the zone because this is the role of a lifetime!

The superhero flick took in approximately $200.3 million to knock Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 out of top spot for biggest opening weekend (Hallows took in a measly $169.1). In addition to that record, The Avengers is the first film in history to make more than $200 mil in just three days, and scored the biggest Saturday box office of all time with $69.7 mil. The film has already opened worldwide and is on track to reach over $1 billion globally.

KUTCHER AD PULLED OVER RACISM CLAIMS

Ashton Kutcher debuted a new commercial for Popchips, in which he played a variety of characters, including a biker, a hippie and an Indian guy named Raj. The ad was not well received by the Indian community, who complained that Ashton in brownface makeup was racist. Popchips heard the complaints and immediately pulled the commercial.

JAGGER TO HOST SNL

Mick Jagger will host the season finale of Saturday Night Live, airing May 19th. The Rolling Stones frontman will also be the night’s musical guest. This is the first time the 68-year-old Jagger has hosted the show, although he has been the musical guest on two other occasions.

Roger Earl Mosley (born December 18, 1938) is an American actor best known for his role as the helicopter pilot Theodore "T.C." Calvin on the long running television series, Magnum, P.I., which starred Tom Selleck as the title character.

Mosley was born in Los Angeles, California. He grew up in the Imperial Courts project with his mother Eloise Harris in Watts, one of the most dangerous parts of the inner city. In 1974, he founded the Watts Repertory Company.

Mosley's most prominent film role to date was his 1976 starring turn as the title character in Leadbelly, directed by Gordon Parks. He has guest starred on shows such as Night Court, Starsky and Hutch, Kojak, The Rockford Files, Baretta, and Sanford and Son; he also had a role in Roots: The Next Generation. He also made a memorable appearance in the 1973 film The Mack, as the militant brother of the main character Goldie, and played officer Roy Cole alongside Kurt Russell and Ray Liotta in Unlawful Entry (1992).

Most recently he appeared in season five of Las Vegas as the billionaire friend of Montecito owner AJ Cooper (Tom Selleck). There is a vague homage to his Magnum P.I. days as his character 'Roger' is worth more than $2bn and owns a fleet of jets having started with a single helicopter in Hawaii.

Hockey Hall of Famer Bob Miller is in his 39th season as the “Voice of the Kings” -- the first 17 years simulcast on TV and radio and the last 21 years as the exclusive television voice of the team -- and is again joined for the 22nd season by former Kings right winger Jim Fox for all Kings games on FS West.

On November 13, 2000, Miller received the Foster Hewitt Award, as selected by the NHL Professional Broadcasters’ Association. This award, which recognizes those members of the radio and television industry who have made outstanding contributions to their profession and the game during their hockey broadcasting careers, is recognized by a plaque in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

On October 2, 2006, Miller received a star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. He also that year authored the book, Bob Miller’s Tales from the Los Angeles Kings. On February 4, 2002, Miller was inducted into the Southern California Sports Broadcasters Hall of Fame, where he served as that organization’s president for three years. Miller has also been named the top television play-by-play announcer in Southern California seven times (including 2010), and in February of 2011 he was inducted into the California Sports Hall of Fame.

In 1998, to commemorate his 25 years of loyal service to the organization, Miller was honored by having the STAPLES Center press box named after him and was presented with a “lifetime contract” by the club, and in 1997, Miller was named as one of the six inaugural members of the Kings Hall of Fame during the organization’s 30th Anniversary celebration. The National Association of Sportscasters and Sportswriters also named him the California Sportscaster of the Year in 1997 and 2002.

A native of Chicago, Miller, 73 (10/12/38), received his degree at the University of Iowa where he started his broadcasting career doing Hawkeye football and basketball games. Before joining the Kings, he worked professionally in radio and TV in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin, and was the voice of University of Wisconsin hockey, football and basketball. In 1992, Miller received the honor of being inducted into Wisconsin’s Hockey Hall of Fame.

Along with his duties for the Kings, Miller’s voice has accented numerous TV and film projects, including “Cheers,” “Rollerball,” “Miracle on Ice,” “The Mighty Ducks” and “The Mighty Ducks 2.”

William Alan Shatner is an actor, musician, recording artist, author and film director. He gained worldwide fame and became a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise, in the science fiction television series Star Trek from 1966 to 1969, Star Trek: The Animated Series from 1973 to 1974, and in seven of the subsequent Star Trek feature films from 1979 to 1994. He has written a series of books chronicling his experiences playing Captain Kirk and being a part of Star Trek, and has co-written several novels set in the Star Trek universe. He has also authored a series of science fiction novels called TekWar that were adapted for television. Shatner also played the eponymous veteran police sergeant in T. J. Hooker from 1982 to 1986. Afterwards, he hosted the reality-based television series, Rescue 911 from 1989 to 1996, which won a People's Choice Award for Favorite New TV Dramatic Series. He has since worked as a musician, author, producer, director and celebrity pitchman. From 2004 to 2008 he starred as attorney Denny Crane in the television dramas The Practice and its spin-off Boston Legal for which he won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award. For the past 22 years, William Shatner has spearheaded the HCHS to raise money for a worthy children’s charity.

It was back in the late 1980s that Shatner first watched an exhibition by children who were so severely handicapped that some of them could not hold their head up, yet there they were going through intricate exercises on the back of a horse. The program was sponsored by Ahead With Horses, a therapeutic riding group for handicapped children. When the exhibition was over, Shatner sat, deeply affected by what he had seen. "You can't watch these kids without knowing you have to help, somehow." And so, in March of 1990 came the birth of the first Hollywood Charity Horse Show. Soon, other charities in need of help were added, small, grass root charities doing big time jobs.

Today, the Priceline.com Hollywood Charity Horse Show, Sponsored by Wells Fargo is an ongoing event that garners national press coverage. On one special spring Saturday evening each year, the HCHS brings together world-class reining horses and riders in breathtaking slides and spins as they compete for top honors in their respective classes. Cher attended the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles Saturday night to support her son Chaz Bono, who was being honored with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, which is handed out to a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender entertainer for promoting equality. The former Dancing with the Stars contestant was also honored for his OWN documentary Becoming Chaz. Also honored at the GLAAD awards were Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who accepted the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson, who received the Vanguard Award, for his organization Straight But Not Narrow.

MARISKA HARGITAY SIGNS ON FOR ANOTHER SEASON!

For Another Season! Mariska Hargitay AKA Detective Olivia Benson has penned a deal with Universal Television that locks in the fiery actress for a potential 14th season of NBC’s Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit. But this doesn’t guarantee the show's return! While the show’s ratings have consistently slipped, Mariska stands firm behind the new cast additions, and her character’s story changes: "This new cast came on, and I had no idea what to expect — and we had a new show runner. TIMES SQUARE TO HONOR DICK CLARK!

Dick Clark may have died Wednesday, but he’ll be a part of at least one more New Year’s Eve in Times Square. The Times Square Alliance announced Friday that fans will now be able to submit memories and tributes to the broadcasting legend which will be printed on pieces of confetti that will be used to shower midtown Manhattan when the ball drops at midnight December 31st. Submissions can be made online, or at the Times Square Visitor Center & Museum.

GIBSON TO SUE OVER LATEST RECORDING!
Mel Gibson is understandably upset that director Joe Eszterhas released an audio recording of him exploding into an expletive-filled rage during a trip to Costa Rica in December. According to TMZ, the Braveheart star is thinking about suing Joe because he believes he has a “basic human right,” not to be secretly recorded in his own home. Mel’s lawyers are said to be looking into Costa Rican law to see if any laws were violated.

SHEREE LEAVING HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA!
The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Sheree Whitfield has announced she’s leaving the Bravo reality show. "After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave," Whitfield told Wetpaint Entertainment. "The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness." As for what she plans to do next, Sheree claims to be “fielding offers,” adding, “I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect.”

DICAPRIO AND SCORSESE TEAM UP ONCE AGAIN!
Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are teaming up again. Scorsese has signed on to direct The Wolf of Wall Street, which will star DiCaprio as Jordan Belfort, a Wall Street hotshot whose hard partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life led to his downfall. This will be Scorsese and DiCaprio’s fifth feature collaboration. They previously worked together on Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed and Shutter Island.

Anthony Hopkins is playing director Alfred Hitchcock in the new film Hitchcock, and yesterday, the first pic of the actor in the role hit the internet. The resemblance is uncanny. The movie, which began production this week, focuses on the iconic director's efforts to make the film Psycho.

Badler spent her teen years in Great Neck, New York, moving to Manchester, New Hampshire, when she was in high school. Badler won the title Miss New Hampshire and competed at the 1973 Miss America Pageant. Subsequently, she enrolled at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, to study drama.

Badler's first television role was Melinda Cramer Janssen on the American daytime soap opera One Life to Live, which she played from 1977 to 1981 and again in 1983. During her run, she also appeared in a 1979 episode of the primetime series Fantasy Island. Badler also starred on the daytime soap opera The Doctors as Natalie Bell from 1981-82.

Badler then won her most prominent role, that of the villainous alien Diana in the 1983 NBC sci-fi miniseries V. She reprised the role in the 1984 sequel miniseries V: The Final Battle and again in V: The Series, which ran for one season from 1984 to 1985.

Following V, Badler co-starred with José Ferrer in the made-for-TV supernatural thriller Covenant. The following year she guest-starred as Meredith Braxton throughout the 1986-87 season of the CBS primetime soap opera Falcon Crest. Her other guest appearances during the 1980s included Riptide, Hotel, and Murder, She Wrote. In 1987, she played the role of Tania Winthrop in the short-lived action-adventure series The Highwayman. She then traveled to Australia to play agent Shannon Reed in the 1980s revival of Mission: Impossible, joining the series midway through its first season (replacing actress Terry Markwell, and her character of Casey Randall); then stayed with the series for its second season before it was cancelled in early 1990. After the series ended, Badler moved to Australia permanently and married businessman Stephen Hains. They have two sons, Sam and Harry. She later appeared on the Australian game show Cluedo from 1992 to 1993, and had a guest-starring role in Snowy River: The McGregor Saga in 1995.

In March 2010, Badler was cast as the villainous Diana Marshall in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. She had a four-month guest contract with the show.
A remake of V premiered in late 2009, and although this version did not include the character of Diana, the series' executive producer, Scott Peters, suggested that Badler and other stars from the original version may be offered guest roles as new characters. In August 2010, it was announced that Badler would be joining the series as a new character named Diana, the mother of the Visitors' evil leader Anna (Morena Baccarin). Badler appeared in nine of the second season's ten episodes, commencing in January 2011. In the second season finale, her character was apparently killed by Anna, and ABC decided to not renew the series for a third season (although the fan campaign "Project Alice" is reported to be campaigning to Warner Bros. to renew the show on a different network).
Music and theatre career

Already an able singer when she competed in the Miss New Hampshire and Miss America Pageants, Badler forged a career in cabaret and on the stage in the 2005 Magnormos production of archy & mehitabel, directed by Aaron Joyner and based on Don Marquis's books of poetry, The Great Gatsby, Sextet, The Singing Forest, Big Hair in America, and her one-woman show, Shakin' the Blues Away in which she also sang. Other productions in which she appeared for Magnormos included a concert of the musical Rebecca and OzMade Musicals.

Badler released her debut album (backed by the Melbourne-based band Sir) on June 1, 2008. Titled The Devil Has My Double, it is an autobiographical album which has been described as "a compulsive mix of fame, sex and solitude, set to a sweeping soundtrack of cold soul and passionate synthetics." As part of promotion for the album, she gave an extensive interview about her work to the Boxcutters podcast.
Badler released her second album, Tears Again, in 2011 and was also signed by 1house Management in 2011 in which she is listed on the website. Jane is currently writing her Third album with Matt Thomas (Matt Doll) and Byron Bouboulas (Byron St John) of bands The Blow Waves.
