Expect work productivity to drop today. Wolfenstein 3D is being released as a free in-browser game by Bethesda Software to mark the 20th anniversary of the game’s release.

The browser version is the full release of Wolfenstein 3D; you play an American soldier in WWII attempting to escape from the Nazi stronghold of Castle Wolfenstein. You must navigate the 3D maze while fending off Nazi soldiers, attack dogs and mutant monsters.

SirDM and I went to the Comic Con to blow our nerdgasm around. It was much smaller than I thought it would be. I wished it had vinyl toys, but other than that, it was pretty cool. Didn't pick anything up as I have a dozen graphic novels to get through right now. Also just picked up HABIBI at the library, so ... no new books.

OF COURSE! there was a Warf there. TNG lives on!

TWO SWEET SUMMER GAME LEAGUES TO JOIN

Something everyone should be doing. Participating in a random retarded sport that lets you drink-a-drank while you do. The first one is Bocce Ball which seems casual enough.

The second on is Drinks on the Links, which is team Mini-Golf. Oh yeah. Oh fuck yeah. This may, just may be my calling. I'd LOVE to start a team up this year for this. Get drunk, play Mini-golf. Yes.

Drink on the Links is back and there is nothing like it. Portland's first and only Miniature Golf League is here. We place a bar smack dab on the course, bust out the speakers and ipod for some tunes and request that everyone turn regular ole' mini-golf into the five funnest nights of mini-golf you've ever head.

Your team will play 1 round per league night, that's 18 holes. Each week could be a different format (think Best Ball, Money Ball, or Straight Golf) and there will also be various "Prize Holes" throughout the course.

Don't worry, this isn't designed to be for expert putters. Quite the opposite. Oftentimes a hole in two will do just fine.

Well. All I came away with from record store day was the FLAMING LIPS - SPOONFUL WEIGHS A TON split 45 with MASTODON. Pink vinyl. Pretty nice. Better than no records.

Two sweet ashtrays here. Look at that sun river lodge one, it has the most amazing icon in the center. Thick, double-backed, mirrored R there. Hot damn, that's a good logo. Also, anything from Alaska (Palin aside) is worth it. Tough MF'ers up there. Mosquitoes as big as yr face.

Had the chance encounter to hang with a glass blower last night. He makes everything and makes it beautifully. Really interesting to watch him mold the glass with an astounding speed. Reminded me of the chihuli exhibit I went to once. Amazing stuff there...

This comes from a Neil deGrasse Tyson lecture. I've been watching a lot of him and although repetitive, I think it's due to the fact that he is gaining traction. Tyson's take on Astrophysics is mind blowing. Spchpewww!

BRIDGETOWN COMEDY & TIM HEIDECKER ...

Spent basically the weekend at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. Saw about 25 different comics. Ron Lynch was really funny. He was the voice of the blonde teacher on Home Movies. Matt Fulchiron was also really funny. He has worked with Tosh.0. Some other great acts were Johnny Pemberton, Keith Lowell Jensen, Troy Walker, Amanda Perrin, Kerri Lendo and Hari Kondabolu. OF course, the only real reason we went was because of TIM HEIDECKER from Tim and Eric. He was beyond funny. His act of "the idiot comic" was golden. He knew everyone there was only there to see him... lol. I tried to go see him Friday, but the stoner volunteers at the Festival told me I was at the right theater. But I wasn't, so I missed him Friday night. Other than that, it was a pretty cool festival for comedy. Great Job! #timheidecker.
