Despite being a hotly anticipated Pixar crossover, the Fortnite Ratatouille collab is baffling without the rat himself, Remy.

Fortnite leakers once again giveth and taketh away. When reliable leaker HypeX announced that there'd be a Fortnite Ratatouille collab on May 14, there was significant buzz in the community. Players online started predicting a Remy Sidekick, or an Alfredo Linguini skin, perhaps with Remy under his hat, secretly pulling the strings. Alas, HypeX has their hands on more details, and for some reason, none of that is happening. Instead, the Fortnite Ratatouille collaboration will be... a car. Trust us, we're as confused as you are, but HypeX is usually excellent for the details of these kinds of things, so we believe them. The leaker confirmed that the car will be in your Fortnite shop on May 18, but as of yet, we can't say how long it'll be around for or provide any prices. We also don't know what kind of car accessory it'll be - given that Ratatouille doesn't really have a famous car, we're imagining that if it is a full car, it will be a European-style vehicle. This means it could be a Vespa scooter, a classic Italian staple on the roads, or a Renault to nod towards its French origins. If it ends up being a decal, there's a chance it just has a plate of meatballs on it or something, which doesn't seem that appealing. Given that a car is a pretty random thing to choose, naturally, the Internet is irritated. While there was discussion of the logistics of Remy and/or Linguini Fortnite skins, including how proportionately huge Remy would have to be to fit the Fortnite Sidekick standard size, I'm not sure that any of us really expected Fortnite to ditch the potentially most exciting part of the crossover. A Sidekick would've gone absolutely nuts, especially if it was animated to match the hair-pulling shenanigans that Remy gets up to.

After the success of Bully, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Red Dead Redemption, where could Rockstar Games go next? At the time, Max Payne 3 and the open-world giant GTA 5 were still years away. The answer came in the form of a trip to 1940s Los Angeles, where players hunted killers, chased robbers, and uncovered police corruption. Released on May 17, 2011, at 15 years old, L.A. Noire continues to attract new fans. In November 2017, Virtuos brought the game to Nintendo Switch, marking it as the studio's and Rockstar Games' first release on Nintendo's handheld system. I spoke with Andy Fong, Jake DiGennaro, and Jeremie Boehm about the game's development and which Rockstar title they would most like to port next.

For the first completely free Pokémon Go Fest Global event, there might even be too much to do, as you can take on more than 30 bosses on each date between July 11 and 12.

Every year since the inception of the Pokémon Go Fest, the mobile game has brought the fun all over the world with in-game celebrations in the form of Pokémon Go Fest Global events. Whether it's Mythical Pokémon, special eggs, bonus raid passes, or a boosted chance to get Shinies, the event always brings the most. This year, the fun goes even further - indeed, some would say too far. Not only is the entire event free, rather than the $15 tickets we've seen before, but there are so many raids on offer that the chances of getting something you actually want are pretty slim, by the looks of it. 35 Pokémon will be available across Five-star, Mega, and Super Mega Pokémon Go raids on Saturday, July 11, while Sunday, July 12, will see 58 bosses available to fight, all of whom are completely different from the prior day's pool. Given that Pokémon Go only gives us a set number of raids a day, the chances of being able to get what you want are slim, and the chance of finding a fellow player to help you out is even slimmer. That means the raids introduced in the Pokémon Go event itself, Mega Mewtwo X and Y, will be nearly impossible to complete, making the whole thing pretty redundant, honestly. The saving grace of this is that Pokémon Go intends to give players nine free raid passes a day via gyms during the event. That doesn't make your chances of catching Mega Mewtwo that much better, or being able to assemble a squad to take it down, but it does mean you can actually attempt it if you do happen upon it. Alongside the free passes, Shinies will be boosted once again, incense and lure modules are active for more time than usual, and event-themed 'mon will appear, with the core three starters, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, appearing in cute Pikachu visors.

Before you can adopt cats or dogs, Heartopia's animals need rescuing. I hate to see their little hungry faces, so I tear through the town looking for their feeding troughs, but it can be a touch difficult to find them. If you're like me and need to make friends with pixelated cuties, we've got the scoop on all their favorite foods, weather events, and where you can feed them. It's time to show that, outside of dressing up and furnishing your house, you can be a responsible adult. That being said, if you do want a little more cash to fill your boots with outfits and furniture pieces, we recommend some Heartopia codes, which are of vital importance to those of us unwilling or unable to shell out real money on currency. We also have a Heartopia review, in case you want to read what we liked most about the game!

Exactly 20 years and over 30 million copies later, New Super Mario Bros. is still the Nintendo DS game that defines the era for me.

Any Millennial or Gen Z gamer will be able to list their favorite Nintendo DS games. They probably had Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, and maybe a couple of Pokémon titles and Animal Crossing: Wild World for good measure. But most of the people who owned a DS of any form or model played New Super Mario Bros., and this isn't just a guess - the game was the best-selling Nintendo DS game of all time, hitting 30 million copies. Like me, you might remember it as your first Mario game, but what you might not know is that today, May 15, 2026, is the 20th anniversary of the release of the game in the US. Yep, we're all that old. New Super Mario Bros. was the first Mario game in the sub-section of the franchise that was eventually named after it, which now includes New Super Mario Bros. Wii, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and New Super Mario Bros. U. This game was special for so many reasons, and as a platformer that combined a sort of half-blend between 2D and 3D graphics, it revolutionized the genre. It was also the first Mario scroller since 1996, taking time to develop due to the shift away from pixel graphics and the addition of mechanics from 3D games, like wall jumping, ground pounding, and more staples that we've come to expect in modern iterations of the game, like Super Mario Bros. Wonder. New Super Mario Bros. is iconic not just because of its format, though, but also for its extremely atmospheric soundtrack, immensely engrossing level-design, and excellent diversity in its gameplay. This includes the then-new Mega Mushroom and Mini-Mushroom power-ups, which allow you to access some of the most fun elements I believe you can have in gaming. Of course, each of the individual worlds have their own themes, and towers and castles played a large part in the fun, but the highlight in my mind remains the Toad huts, which gave me my first dopamine hits as a wide-eyed child. In combination, you have one of the best Mario games.

If you own a Nintendo Switch, you probably know a thing or two about stick drift. It's an issue that still plagues what remains one of the best handheld consoles, with some even attempting to sue Nintendo on the back of stick drift woes. While the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn't seem to have run into the same sort of issues yet, it could be possible, given that the Joy-Con 2's sticks use the same analog potentiometers as the ones that led to issues with the original Joy-Cons. Fortunately, a solution is already here in the form of GuliKit's TMR joystick replacements.

There's been a bit of a hullabaloo in the Stardew Valley community this week. A new interview went live, followed by some X posts, which had some assuming we were going to be able to cheat on our spouses in a new update. This isn't the case, so let us look at the facts. In now-deleted tweets by AUTOMATONJapan, Pirat_Nation, and GoNintendoTweets, it was claimed that ConcernedApe was adding infidelity to Pelican Town's romance options. There are still some other articles floating around that claim cheating is going to be 'encouraged' in the next update, but we now know that this isn't true at all, and was misinterpreted. Most outlets have since rescinded their statements and have apologized for spreading false information. The thought came from recent X posts by ConcernedApe, where he talks about something he had considered once, and from information in a recent interview with GameInformer - which is paywalled, if you want to read it. To quote the developer's tweets exactly:

If you're looking to get in on the handheld gaming PC revolution but don't want to break the bank, you need to check out this Asus ROG Ally deal. You can pick up a refurbished unit for just $389.99 on Woot, saving over $100 on the original asking price. For context, that makes this handheld cheaper than both the Steam Deck OLED and the Nintendo Switch 2.
The Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport and Wakura Pokémon Footbath are here to make sure your Japan trip makes it out of the group chat.

In case you didn't know, Pokémon is notorious for excellent collaborations - whether it's the Natural History Museum in London, SecretLab chairs, Uniqlo merch, or EDM nights out in LA with chart-topping DJ Marshmello, this is the franchise that keeps on giving. The latest cool crossovers are taking place in a seaside town in Japan called Noto, in an attempt to boost local tourism after an earthquake rocked the region: not only can you fly into the Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport and see your favorite 'mon, but once you arrive, you can get a foot bath at the Wakura Pokémon Footbath. The airport will open on July 7, 2026, and remain until September 2029, so there's plenty of time to book your tickets and experience a new side of Japan, away from the mega-cities of Tokyo and Osaka. All 111 flying-type Pokémon will be dotted around to greet you as you fly in, alongside a fully decorated airport with merchandise and Pokémon-themed food for sale. So far, it looks like there'll be keyrings, T-shirts, travel tags, and even a suitcase, and for food, pancakes galore. Maybe I'll actually enjoy flying for once. Once you're settled in the town, which lies a mere 70 miles north of the closest city, Toyama, you can get yourself booked into the Wakura Pokémon Footbath, which uses waters from Wakura Onsen and overlooks the ocean. You'll be able to spot sculptures of various water-type Pokémon, a Gyarados-themed hot water tap, and all your favorite 'mon on the walls and windows of the establishment. That's not all, though, as if you continue to wander around, you'll find that Northern Noto is also home to some 'Poké Lids', Pokémon-themed manhole covers, just in case it couldn't get any more charming.

If you're looking for the best Slay the Spire 2 cards, the sort that can turn a tricky run into a leisurely trip to take on The Architect, we've got you covered. In this guide, you'll find our card recommendations for each of the game's five characters, as well as which colorless cards benefit specific build types. The only thing we can't guarantee is that you'll come across the cards you're looking for on your next run, but hey, there's always time after that (and the time after that and the time after that). Before we get into this guide, it's worth noting that Slay the Spire 2 is still in early access, so we expect our picks to change as the game receives balance and patch updates in the future. This list is also based on our own experience, so as we continue to grind through Ascensions while simultaneously developing our Slay the Spire 2 tier list and Slay the Spire 2 builds guide, we'll be back to add any cards that have come in clutch and saved a run.

We're all very excited for Nicole to arrive in Genshin Impact and to dive into all the lore she brings with her. As the first playable Hexenzirkel member, she's sure to shake things up - and right in time for us to head to Snezhnaya, where the story really ramps up. A new trailer showcasing some of her lore is now live on the Genshin YouTube channel. In it, we see the trials she's been through, but also get a glimpse of her speaking to the Heavenly Principles themselves. For the first time, we see them get a name: right at the end of the trailer, Nicole says 'Phanes'. Phanes, eh? We know that in Genshin's lore, Phanes - also known as The Primordial One and Heavenly Principles - is likely linked to Kevin Kaslana of wider Hoyoverse fame. Perhaps you also know him as Phainon. What does this mean? Will we get a full crossover of the games? Is the lore intertwined? There are so many unanswered questions.

Fans of Overwatch are less than pleased to see the Fortnite collab, despite a stacked lineup in the shop.

If you've ever wanted two of your favorite third-person shooters to crossover, you're in incredible luck today. Despite an official trailer being vague about the date, leakers are saying that the Fortnite Overwatch collab will hit the Fortnite Shop on May 14, with Overwatch-themed skins, emotes, weapons, and cosmetics, while quests, landmarks, and vehicle decals will be available in your game. It coincides with Overwatch's tenth anniversary celebrations and looks exciting for Fortnite fans - but some in the Blizzard game's community are pretty upset. Leaker HypeX says that the collaboration between the two games will see four Overwatch-themed skins, three emotes, and other assorted cosmetics arrive, ready for you to grab and jump into more Overwatch content in the game. This includes Act III-themed quests and rewards, an SUV with Overwatch decals, and Overwatch NPCs appearing throughout Fortnite's map. As of yet, we don't know what the prices of the skins will be, but we can't imagine them to be any more expensive than usual Fortnite skins of this variety. All in all, it sounds like a fun time - but some of the Overwatch community are not happy. Why? Well, it has less to do with Fortnite and more to do with the anniversary of Overwatch itself. Alongside the Fortnite crossover, Overwatch has unveiled its plans for its decennial anniversary over the past few days. On May 11, the game's Twitter/X page announced that those of you who log in between May 12 and June 1 will be eligible to earn 21 hero skins, 15 loot boxes, and a number of other items, such as titles and community-made cosmetics. Although this sounds fine to the untrained eye, unfortunately, it's been met with significant backlash from players, as they believe they deserve more.

Nintendo’s hybrid console might be newer than Valve’s handheld, but I just can’t put my Steam Deck OLED down.

When I received my Nintendo Switch 2, almost a year ago, I thought that it would be curtains for my Steam Deck OLED. I packed the Valve handheld in its case, put it on a shelf, and assumed I'd maybe pick it up from time to time, maybe during the occasional Steam Next Fest, if that. It felt a bit like that moment in Toy Story when Andy chooses Buzz over Woody, discarding the pull-string cowboy without hesitation. However, cut to eleven months later, and that's not exactly how it's all played out. No, it turns out that the Steam Deck OLED is still my go-to for gaming on the go, and, if I'm being honest, gaming at home. While I think that both the Valve console and the Switch 2 are two of the best handheld consoles around, I've come up with four reasons that I'm picking up the Deck when given the choice between the two. So, with my apologies to Nintendo, let's get into the details.

A post regarding Lossless Scaling on Steam Deck has blown up on Reddit, dividing the community into those who love and those who loathe the software.

It's no secret that while the Steam Deck is one of the best handheld consoles in terms of design and software, it might not be the most powerful. There are options to try to improve in-game performance, though, including the Lossless Scaling app. While I don't use it myself, I'd always assumed it was fairly popular, especially as the program currently has a 'very positive' rating on Steam after over 15k reviews. However, a new discussion among the Reddit community dedicated to Valve's handheld suggests that the appreciation for Lossless Scaling might not be as widespread as I thought. In a Reddit post titled "Do YOU find Lossless Scaling useful on the Steam Deck?", countless users have offered their thoughts on the app, and some of them are quite damning. One of the top comments at the time of writing reads, "No. It's pushed around like some magical cure for everything Steam Deck-related. To the point [that] I resent seeing it even mentioned." That comment has 482 upvotes, suggesting that Rainy_J isn't the only one who thinks that the frame-generating software isn't as game-changing as others continue to make out, with others raising issues such as ghosting and input lag. If you don't know, the Lossless Scaling app, published and developed by THS, is a tool intended to boost frame generation in games, which, in theory, should make gameplay look and feel smoother. In the app's defense, the Lossless Scaling Steam page clearly says that it's 'unsupported' for Steam Deck, and it requires a bit of fiddling to make it work on Valve's handheld, such as installing the Decky LSFG-VK plug-in in the Decky Loader software, but, until now, I'd only heard good things about using the app on Steam Deck.

It might not be a perfect port, but Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is yet another great example of the Nintendo Switch 2’s performance potential.

It's time to whistle the iconic theme tune, crack your whip, and risk it all to grab your hat with seconds to spare, because Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is about to launch for the Nintendo Switch 2. I've been lucky enough to spend the last couple of weeks traveling across the world with Dr. Jones, collecting artifacts and laying the smackdown on treasure-hunting Nazis. Now it's time to deliver the verdict on this much-anticipated port. Given that this game has been available on other consoles and PC for a while now, I'm not going to concentrate on the gameplay too much in this review. Everyone at the time said it was great, and, well, I agree with them. It's one of the best action games I've played, for the most part. The combat sections feel authentic to the film, with an emphasis on melee bouts and light gunplay, the puzzle sections test the brain nicely, and exploration is rewarding. If you'd asked me what I wanted from an Indiana Jones game before I'd played the Great Circle, I'd be asking for all those things. What I wouldn't be asking for, though, is an overemphasis on stealth gameplay, especially in the early sections of the game. I don't mind a bit of sneaking around, but during the first post-tutorial quest, with Indy traipsing around the Vatican, it's especially prevalent, and it made completing some of the side missions before hightailing out of there feel like a bit of a chore.

The Pokémon Marowak is one of the original 151, meaning it's been around for a very long time, long enough to even have a second version in the seventh generation of the franchise. So, to make sure you can make the most out of this 'mon regardless of which one you have, we're going to go through the locations, moves, and base stats for both. Then, as a reward for studying up on Marowak, you can head over to our Pokémon Go codes guide to see what freebies are waiting for you. We also have a complete Pokédex that you can check out if you want to learn about other creatures.

It's no secret that not only is the Nintendo Switch 2 an expensive console, but the brand's official accessories are also pretty pricey, including the roughly $90 Switch 2 Pro controller. Fortunately, there are some fantastic alternatives, such as the 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad, which is now cheaper than ever on Amazon, down 40% from $69.99 / £59.99 to just $41.99 / £34.99.

My Moonlight Peaks preview was over far too soon, and I want more of the cozy-turned-spooky farming simulator already.

Boy, was I ready for this - Moonlight Peaks has been on my radar for a long time, and I am bloody impressed with it, if you pardon the phrase. 'Farm sim' is definitely my favorite genre of game, but it can get a little stale like last month's wheat - so a shake-up in the formula is very much appreciated. For Moonlight Peaks, it comes in the form of only farming at night, and you being a literal vampire. You take on the (slightly daunting for a sci-fi fan like myself) role of Dracula's child, who's leaving home after getting sick of their parents and moving out to Moonlight Peaks to start fresh. Here, you inhabit a rundown farmhouse with some overgrown land. Everything is a fairly gloomy purple and green color, due to it being nighttime. You can't stay up into the day, on account of you being, y'know, a vampire. You need to head back to sleep in your coffin by the early hours of the morning or else.

The Pokémon 30th anniversary celebrations continue as Uniqlo announces its second wave of nostalgic collaboration t-shirt designs, which are due to hit stores in Japan in late July and the rest of the world in August. The collection contains four unisex adult designs and four kids' designs, using the original sprites from Pokémon Red and Blue. By far the classiest design of the four, that's stirred up discussion on social media, is the grey shirt that features each of the gen 1 Pokémon Gym Leaders' aces and their respective levels. It's a clean and simple design, showcasing the goofiness of the original Pokémon sprite designs and also adding miniature greyscale versions of the eight Kanto gym badges as a sleeve motif. This design also reminded me that Giovanni's ace isn't his beloved Persian - it's a level 50 Rhydon. The other three adult shirt designs are pretty simplistic, but we're particularly big fans of the Pikachu evolution shirt. Chunky Pikachu sits on the shirt's pocket, with Japanese text underneath displaying the classic, "Oh? Pikachu is evolving!" text. So where's Raichu, you may ask. Take a peek inside the pocket, and you'll find the electric Pokémon sitting right there!

The tomahawk or combat axe is quite underrated in CODM. I've been a fan of this piece of tactical gear since its debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops, launching it around Nuketown and Summit in hopes of getting the perfect clip. Now, a brand-new Call of Duty Mobile event is giving it a makeover, turning it into none other than a bright pink flip-flop. If you've ever fancied slapping someone with a vibrant bit of foam, then it's surprisingly easy to get.

When we play videogames, we're often seeking transportation to a completely new world, filled with stories that we'd never encounter in real life. But sometimes, games are just as effective when they recreate hyperspecific experiences in our day-to-day lives. That's exactly how Wax Heads makes me feel with its depictions of the DIY music and record store scenes. This beautiful indie game had a hold of me from the moment I played its demo, and, as you can see from my full Wax Heads review, my connection to it only got stronger the more I played. So, of course, I had to get inside the heads of the people responsible for bringing Repeater Records to life. I got the chance to interview Murray Somerwolff and Rocío "Rothio" Tomé, the two creative minds who make up Patattie Games and the development of Wax Heads. I asked them about the process of making such a game, their artistic influences, and their own experiences in the world of music.

The Pokémon Exeggutor, known as the coconut Pokémon, is the evolved form of Exeggcute. While its pre-evolution does look like a bunch of eggs, Exeggutor is clearly a tree bearing round fruit. Especially its Alolan form, which sees it grow many feet taller. It's easy to get both variants and use them in battle, though. Exeggutor is, in our opinion, one of the best grass Pokémon designs out there, but if you want some more options, we recommend having a scroll through the entire Pokédex.

The special program for Genshin Impact's version 6.6 just went live, and we got a good look at what the Traveler gets up to while heading back to Sumeru. Ah, Sumeru, the best archon quest out there, with luscious jungles, sprawling deserts, and downright evil Il Dottore making his in-game debut. The new update is called 'Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana', which is a title originally teased in the Chapter Storyline Preview from September 2020. This introduced the names of all the regions' quests, from Mondstadt up to Snezhnaya. It seems we've got a stop before we go to the land of cryo, though. It's been 1,164 days since the last Sumeru archon quest chapter (Caribert) went live, back in March of 2023. Now, in 2026, we head back to the nation of dendro to finish what we started. Nahida's in trouble again, Cyno, Tighnari, Kaveh, and Alhaitham are ready to meet up with us, and as we mentioned, Dottore is causing a ruckus.

I’m so far down the roguelike rabbit hole that I’m struggling to enjoy any other genre of game, but honestly, I’m not mad about it.

I have a problem. If you'd asked me about my favorite genre of games just a couple of years ago, I wouldn't have known what to tell you. I'd have sounded like one of those annoying people who tell you they like 'all sorts' of music, which usually just means they like whatever is on the radio, rather than an actual eclectic taste ranging from Captain Beefheart to MF Doom. Now, I've discovered my favorite game genre, the roguelike. The problem is, I love roguelike games, including the likes of Slay the Spire 2, Hades 2, and Balatro, so much that I'm struggling to enjoy anything else. So, what is it about the roguelike genre that keeps me coming back for more? Well, dear readers, I am a depressed man. When I say I'm depressed, I don't mean I'm miserable; in fact, I like to think I'm pretty chipper, but if I spend more than ten minutes in a room on my own with nothing to occupy my mind, you can bet it won't be long before I start thinking about what happens when we die, the fabric of reality, and the eventual heat death of the universe. What I need is something that grabs onto my brain, almost like a parasite, and absorbs it. That's exactly what I get from the best roguelike games. When I'm playing Balatro, I'm thinking about what Joker card I need next, what Planet cards I could benefit from, and what deck I should pick for my next run. The same applies to Slay the Spire 2, as well as Hades 2, and that latter example might be even more egregious, as each run pushes the narrative a little further along in a way that always leaves you eager for more juicy lore tidbits. This engaging gameplay experience leaves very little room for existential dread, which can be a problem in games with massive open worlds that require lonely traversal or RPGs that aren't consistently challenging (with apologies to my beloved Pokémon).

I've never been shy about my love for SteelSeries. That might make me look somewhat biased, but on the other hand, when a company consistently produces hardware that runs circles around competitors, it's hard not to applaud what it's capable of. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni practically takes a swing at cutting down the price of the luxury Arctis Elite, bringing very similar audio quality at a lower price, and that makes this an essential addition to mine and anyone else's gaming setup.

A pretty iconic figure of the franchise, Pokémon's Exeggcute might be less iconic without its punny name, but we sure are glad for the commitment to the bit. There's lots to learn about our sextuplet friend, including that the closer it is to evolution, the more cracks will appear on its shells. Neat, right? In this guide, we also go into its evolutions, locations in-game, moveset, and more, so let's go and learn together. If you're desperately seeking Exeggcute to add to your Pokédex, we have some handy freebies in the form of Pokémon Go codes and Pokémon Pokopia Mystery Gift codes - hopefully, you'll have no problems tracking it down.

The Pokémon Electrode is an explosive creature, to say the least, being practically synonymous with the self-destruct move, because as long as it takes you out, it doesn't care. So, to help you learn what makes this 'mon tick, we're going to walk you through all of its strengths and weaknesses, locations, base stats, and more - you'll be an Electrode expert in no time. However, it takes a lot longer to become a true master, as you need to learn about every beast in the Pokédex, but we're sure you're up to the task. We're also sure you know what you're doing on your adventures, but that doesn't mean we don't want to help you get some freebies with our Pokémon Go codes guide.

If you don’t want to spend an extra $50 picking up a Nintendo Switch 2, then we’d recommend trying to get your hands on one before September.

After months of rumors and speculation, it's official: the Nintendo Switch 2 is getting a price increase. Despite launching less than a year ago for $449.99, the top pick from our guide to the best handheld consoles will have a new $499.99 price point as of September 1, which, if math isn't your strong suit, is an increase of $50. Don't think you're getting away with it if you're reading this outside of the US, though. Unfortunately, the Switch 2 is about to get more expensive wherever you're reading this from.
