<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider continues with the third in his series of Lenten messages, nbsp; each one covering a different spiritual discipline.//nbsp; This weeks spiritual discipline is self denial, which is saying NO to anything that conflicts with God's Word.//nbsp; Self denial is NOT low self esteem.//nbsp; Self esteem is important as pointed out in Psalm 139:14, and should not be confused with self denial.//nbsp; Before moving on, Pastor David examines the paradox of Matthew 16:25.//nbsp; The message continues with examples of things we should say NO to that are unproductive and self destructive actions, and things to replace them with that are positive and enriching actions.//nbsp; The second point of the message is to "take up a cross" in a CHRIST centered life, not a self centered life.//nbsp; The last point is to follow the teaching and examples of Jesus, and then to answer three "self" evaluation questions.//

<itunes:summary>Pastor Bill Calvin continues with his third message in a series on stewardship.//nbsp; The message opens with a scene from John 12:1-8, a dinner given for Jesus at the house of Lazarus who was recently raised from the dead.//nbsp; Mary, Lasarus' sister, anoints and washes Jesus' feet with a bottle of perfume that is worth a years wages, and Pastor Bill goes over all the reactions to this act of extraordinary giving.//nbsp; This story opens up 3 realizations: 1.) Every earthly gift pales in comparison to Jesus' sacrifice; 2.) All our giving should be to Jesus, and 3.) from John 11: Death reminds us of what is important in life.//nbsp; The message continues with some other examples of crazy generosity: 1Kings3; Solomon and his 1000 burnt offerings, and God appears in a dream and tells Solomon to ask for anything he wants, and he asks for wisdom.//nbsp; 2Chronicles5,6,7: The crazy generosity of David to get the temple built and the extravagant giving of Solomon to have the temple dedicated, and God shows up from heaven in all His glory and consumes the offering!.//nbsp; God shows up when extraordinary giving occurs.//nbsp; It is not about giving, it is about God.//nbsp; Pastor Bill continues with 2 other examples, and a statement from Malachi 3:6-12.//nbsp; Our extraordinary gift as a church will be to give our entire offering from Feb. 20+21 to the mission of Lisa Nickey in Gabon, and the sermon ends with a message from Lisa.//</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Pastor Bill Calvin continues with his second in a series of stewardship messages.//nbsp; The message begins with an example of a man who made a very meager salary but still managed to leave behind a very sizable inheritance for his children with his good and consistent planning.//nbsp; The first smartest thing you can do with money is to put together a spending plan or a budget.//nbsp; Examples are found in Luke 14:28, to estimate the cost first, and in Luke 8:1, to support out of your own means.//nbsp; The second smartest thing you can do with money is to SAVE it .//nbsp; Proverbs 6:6 shows how even an ant gathers and stores food for winter, and Proverbs 13:11 shows if you gather money little by little it will grow.//nbsp; Automatically save off the top FIRST and state a saving goal.//nbsp; Also attend seminars and classes like Crown Financial.//The third smartest thing you can do with money is to give it away.//Giving is very powerful, and if you do not give it away it is like calling Jesus a liar.//nbsp; Pastor Bill ends the message with a renewed view of how we are going to devote our entire Feb. 20th offering to the mission of Lisa Nickey in Gabon, Africa. //</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Pastor Bill Calvin starts the stewardship series with a look at Ezekiel 16:49, where it shows the number one mistake is to ignore the poor.//nbsp; To oppress the poor is to show contempt for your maker {Proverbs 14:31}.//nbsp; There are over 2000 verses in the Bible about poverty, wealth, justice, injustice, and oppression.//nbsp; Being kind to the poor is like lending to the Lord {Proverbs 19:17}.//nbsp; The second mistake is never learning to be content, but being content can be learned {Philippians 4:11}.//nbsp; Paul writes this letter about contentment and joy {Philippians 4:4} from prison after 8 beating with whips and rods, yet he still is joyful and content in the Lord!.//nbsp; People spend to much money because they have not learned to be content.//nbsp; The third mistake is not developing the habit of saving money and this topic will be expanded in a later message.//nbsp; Pastor Bill ends by asking " So what can I do about this?", and a good start is to thank God every day for at least 5 things that happened in the last 24 hours.//nbsp; As a church, Pastor Bill explains what we plan to do for the mission of Lisa Nicky in Gabon.//</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider wraps up his series on the book of Revelation with Chapter 22, which tells us some of the details of what Heaven is going to be like.// The message begins with a quick review of Chapter 21, what we have learned about Heaven, the Capitol "City", its dimensions, gates and "suburbs".// We review some of the principles of what Heaven will be like.// Next is a walk thru Chapter 22, the River of Life, the Tree of Life, and the healing of nations.// Eternity = Perfection, it is not a process, and all aspects of a broken world are gone forever.// Pastor David reviews some common lies and misconceptions about Heaven and Hell, comparing the lies to the truth.//We are to reveal the message because He is coming soon, fast, and by surprise, so we need to be in a state of readiness.// Be encouraged, Jesus is the King of Kings, and He will subdue evil forever!!.//

We need to BE STILL to hear God : Psalm 4:4 and 46:10.//The message concludes with the realization that Jesus expects alot from us because He IS God,nbsp; we belong to Him, and because He bought us with his own blood!!.//</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider continues our quest of studying the book of Revelation by guiding us thru Chapter 20, the Judgment Seat of Christ, and the Millennium.// We start with a review of the primary focus in the book of Revelation: To re-affirm the gospel, and to encourage Christ's followers.// Many details are NOT revealed in Revelation because God wants it to be a surprise.// The Judgment Seat of Christ is for the good and righteous followers to get their rewards.// Pastor David refers to the many references to the "Book of Life" and its meaning.//There are 2 Judgments: one for the faithful, and one for the unrighteous.// We then go over 2 important questions: Is the millennium to be taken literally, and what is the purpose of the millennium?// The message is wrapped up by reviewing Revelations mega themes, Judgment Day, and Hope in the Savior.//

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider guides us thru Revelation 5 by first reviewing the context of the Loin of Judah and the Root of David as a lamb slain as an atoning sacrifice.//Next is a look at what is in the scroll.//Three reasons are given for why John was so overwhelmed by this all.//References to the Lamb prior to Revelation:nbsp; Exodus 12:13, Isaiah 53:7, John 1:29, 1Peter 1:19.//Fulfilled: Isaiah 11:1//Not fulfilled yet: Isaiah 11:4 and 11:10.//Pastor Dave reviews what the slaughtered lamb represents, and WHY the lamb was slain.//Pastor Dave wraps it up with some important principles: 1.]God has the future in His hands. 2.] The slain Lamb is redeeming people from all over the world. 3.]The victorious Lion and the slain Lamb are the SAME Savior. 4.] Jesus Christ, the slain Lamb is the ONE worthy of our worship.//

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider starts his review of Revelation 4 with a look at what the book of Revelation IS and IS NOT.//nbsp; It IS a historical letter of encouragement in difficult times, a clear truth about God's character and roll, an a promise of God's plan.//It is NOT a strange book impossible to understand and interpret with weird symbols to speculate on.//All the numbers , symbols and images should not be over-speculatednbsp; or over-interpreted.//Revelation 4 is written so we will not be frightened during the "trumpets and bowls" in upcoming chapters.//It is a look into the heavenly realm and the future of our world by John, who is only human, with human limitations of understanding and interpretation.//Pastor Dave goes over some of the imagery: jasper, carnelian, emerald, 24 elders, lightning, thunder, 7 lamps, 4 animals, 6 wings, and glass.//Revelation 4 reminds us of God's promise of completion, perfection, remembrance, sacrifice, and his power, faithfulness, intelligence, sovereignty, and freedom.//We should focus on the primary message, not the unusual symbols.//God is the creator of all things, and it all gets re-created at the end of revelation.//Be encouraged, God is still running the universe.//Embrace the truths of the book, live with thankful hearts, invite God into your everyday life, and view each day as an opportunity to make a difference for eternity.//

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider takes us thru Revelation 3:14-22 and the letter to the church in Laodicea that had become complacent, proud, independent, carnal, and had forgot their need for God.//They had become "lukewarm" and God said he wanted to "spit" them out of his mouth, and the real translation of "spit" is closer to, vomit, puke, hurl, or throw up!!.//Pastor Dave's illustration was to have a series of cups with liquids that were sampled by victims, I mean volunteers, but they were all lukewarm.// The point: coffee , soup and tea are good HOT, and fruit juice, soda, and water are good COLD, but they are all yucky when lukewarm.//Pastor David reviews the environment in Laodicea: the city and the church, and how the church was evaluated by Jesus.//Pastor Dave ends with the Directive: a hope filled counsel, that shows that God pursues those that have gone astray.//God never gives up on us , He is knocking on the door just waiting for us to let Him in.//Pastor's message ends with some practical applications, a personal inventory, and a time of prayer.//

<itunes:summary>Pastor David Riemenschneider in his third sermon going thru the book of Revelation, reviews Revelation 2:8-11; the letter to the church in Smyrna.//The church did nothing wrong, in fact they did everything right, but they were suffering afflictions, poverty and persecution due to their belief in Jesus and leading a Christian life.//The factors that lead to these tribulations were the Greek world view of poly-theism, immorality, a lack of "absolutes", and a belief that truth is relative. //There was also great Roman political pressure, an "imperial cult" that had the belief that Caesar WAS god.//The last factor was the hostile religious group, (the Jews),nbsp; that had a hate for Christ, and were playing politics.//Sometimes bad things happen to good people like the church in Smyrna, because of the result of having to live in a fallen broken world, and the fact that affliction is permitted by God to facilitate a greater good. //Pastor David also goes over some other reasons that bad things happen to good people, and why good things can happen to bad people.//He ends with some practical applications like: Do not be afraid, Be faithful, and put your hope in the Christ of Revelation.//

Dan Marcello starts his sermon telling us about his "Godly Dad" and the great influence his Dad had on him. //YOU are an influence on someone right now!!//Genesis Chapters 12 thru 25 show how Abraham had a life of events where he trusted God with great faith which served as an influence on everyone.//Genesis 15:4-5, where Abraham got a son even tho they were way past child bearing years, and then how Abraham's great faith was tested to sacrifice his son.//Hebrews 11: Examples of faith.//Romans 4, the faith of Abraham, and he was not without fault.//Genesis 20: Abraham introduces his wife as his sister out of fear, and in Genesis 26 Issac does the same thing.//Psalm 105: Seek His face always and pray to be a better influence.//No selfish excuses, encourage one another, we are not alone.//</itunes:summary>
