I know I can't people excited about something that is yet to be delivered, but I am working to make this a good site for reviews and commentary on Podcasting and podcasting tools. I think this week we will have some movement.

Thanks for being patient.

What is Podcast Remix

As I go through podcasts this week to bring the first batch of reviews to the masses, I thought I would give more detail to the Podcast Remix. I want a space where people can get mostly objective reviews of podcasts that are currently out there. I think I get it most of the time and I have a varied taste when it comes to most things, so I know I can not only help listeners find what they are looking for, but hopefully give feedback to the producers.

What will be in the show:

Most podcasts big or small

A easy to understand ratings system (much like the star system for movies)

I will review the producer of the podcast as well as individual shows where it makes sense

I will try to be objective and constructive to help the podcast community

I will have fun and I hope you will too

What Will Not be in the show:

Commercial regurgitated content labeled "podcast" ie the Rush limbagh's of the world

Close minded opinions

Media limitations - in other words as the podcasting world evolves (possibly to video casts) I will evolve what I review

I will start with a mixed bag of big shows and small shows. I don't think I will have some type of formula to give equal time, but I will try to make a good mix of general content, popular shows and stuff that no one has heard yet.

Podcast Alley and other directories will be used to gather what's out there and I will include the PA ranking in each review since it seems like the only system out there that people are measuring. But like I said, I will continue to evolve as the genre does to make sure I am offering the best reviews and information on the podcasting world.

Enjoy and check back soon

Steven Frein

The New Podcast Remix

So I stole another idea today, and isn't that what media remixing is all about. Someone (who I will credit later) started review Podcasts that I listen to and I thougt what a good idea. I listen to 10 to 20 podcasts a week and I am always looking for somthing new besides the old standards (can you say podcast alley top 10). So I plan to review podcasts as I happen upon them and hopefully it will help people digg (love digg.com) through the vast space of the podosphere.

I hope you enjoy and keep listening to podcasts, it will change your life.
