The Saga of Love

Heartbreaks, tears, all part of it
Laughter, happiness, everyone’s pursuit
In the name of love there are no certainties
but it’s a gamble worth trying

wind of distrust can ruin
even the most perfect relationship
as distrust begets anger
which then turn to hatred

others found everlasting fountain
of understanding and respect
even the wrath of time
can’t sever the sturdy bond

love is a saga, not fate
some fail and some will triumph
but at the end of the path
it's how well you have fought
and how you bounce back when you lost

Time flies so fast
but the feelings remain
that night I won’t forget
the most precious moment

the elation I felt
like a dream so surreal
it took me a while
to finally believe it’s for real

it’s more than happiness
greater than any joy I’ve ever felt
it is something so blissful
that made my heart so content

and as days passed by
it became more profound
the seed finally, full grown
seed of love we both found

so today and the whole night
in my arms I’ll keep you locked
we shall make great memories
for today is our anniversary

Gentle touch through your hair
firm yet soft presses on your fingers
my loving caress on your silky skin
I could be here forever, be frozen in time

when you laugh with tears in your eyes
I want to embrace you and never let go
when breathing is so hard for you
I want to be the air to relieve the pain

and when time for us to be apart
I couldn’t even walk without the hurt
within me, something don’t want to go
it rebels against my chest, my heart

I do not intend to be so dramatic
but each second, I really long for you

I am fine; let me be with the rain
to hide my tears trickling down
let me befriend the thunder
so it can drown my screams

give me space to breath,
let me able to feel my face
I would run not to hide
but so I could feel my feet again

let me embrace the darkness
sleep with it even for a moment
in the morning i will look for the sun
let it shine, until my sorrows fade

soon, it won’t be long

I heard the birds sing in the silence of the night
upon knowing that you also care for me
I saw the light of day in the darkest of night
soon as you said those words I’m longing to hear

Joy came to me like that of the ocean’s waves
knocking me off my feet, with smile on my face
unearthly happiness conquered all my doubts
my fragile heart almost jump out of my chest

Now, a castle I am building to be our love nest
a home that we can share with all its goodness
no, do not look for it my lovely beloved
feel it, listen to my heart and yours instead

It’s a world created out of the love we share
a home that can only be felt but not to be seen

A simple dinner yet so much joy
Meal so great that it touches the heart

Life was just a thing to pass

Two celestial bodies intertwined
gravity keep them connected
such a beauty to watch in motion
two distinct bodies move as one

like lovers in a crowded world
they met and never want to let go
love flaming as that of the star
even the great cold can’t keep them apart

universe is immeasurable and dark
yet two stars able to cross path
earth is home to billions of souls
yet two find each others’ hearts
and make it their home.

power of love between two lovers
is like that of the binary stars
gravity keep them close, make them one
but never would both stars
collide with each other no matter what

why do you need to hurt me?
so you could just feel a bit better
why keep on chasing ghosts
that has kept us so restless
wouldn’t it be better just to let go?

do you realize how much i carry?
every time you lash me with your tongue
heartless, how can you be?
why won’t you just be glad?
we have gone so far

now we are growing apart
crumbling vows and promises
soon, even the greatest foundation
shall collapse and will cease to exist
love no matter how strong and true
will break, if pain is all there is

I was awaken for the first time
The day you and I became one
It was a long death for me
You made me live suddenly

My world became so clear
Even trees seem to cheer
Darkness conquered by light

If heaven really do exist

Then it came, abrupt

Happiest when someone is born

Humans are blessed with memory
Where joy is stored even the pain

Term to describe the absence of

And so it goes my son has to ask
Curious mind, fragile and eager
A four year old, want to know so much
When he talks, as if he knows all
Confidence in him overwhelms me
He is such a darling, so innocent
Selfishly I’m wishing, he’d be a kid,
Even a little longer until my return.

My pretty daughter, she’s now nine
Young but feels as if she’s old enough
Fairy tales aren’t on her stories list
Playing dolls isn’t cute, not anymore
Gadget in her palm, singing tunes
I can’t help but to look back in time
She was just so tiny on my chest
Not so long ago, as she sleeps
Now all I could do is wonder who
Who is that boy in her mind?
If I could just tell her to be my baby,
Even for a little longer until my return.

Just some days with my kids, soon I have to leave
Count days turn to months, another year until my return.

Hear my cry, oh please let it rain
Quench the thirst, this shrivelled passion

The love that used to be
That kept me at bay, my sanity
Will it be forever lost in the mist of pride?

Waves of anger keep pounding
These fragile hearts soon shall break
Unless the holes of this ship be patched up

Rain oh rain drench these souls
With passion that used to be the armour
Even the worst of weathers cannot destroy
