NEW RELEASE!!!

"This title was a long time coming. I give accounts of various events in my life that forever shaped me into the man I have become today. I approached this speaking from the heart without censoring any of my thoughts. I have struggled with the anxiety/bipolar condition, drugs, alcohol as well; also,I am a high school dropout. I have been high and have been low, I have starred death right in the face time and time again, battled with thoughts of suicide, as well; was homeless for six months living in my car while living in California. In spite the many adversities I have faced, I have grown even stronger in my faith. Am I perfect, no! Nor would I want to be. These memoirs as well as some select journals and poetry speaks from the soul of a man who had every reason to give up, throw in the towel and just say the hell with it. But I didn't , I pray that this story will inspire those who struggle with the same to never quit!"

Burdened Moons this side of the sun

I can't find the rhyme

The season, a reason

Such a waste of time

Caged these repetitive confines...

Can't find the rhyme....

Not as much as a metaphor

Score of bore intermingle

Drudgery useless herbs

Meaningless verbs....

Can't connect the words....

Such absurd....

I go unheard

Invisible frame

Mame morphs I succumb

Numb my calloused holds....

Can't find the rhyme....

Torn forgotten today's

Another tomorrow awaits

Eyes stern, each turn

Can't find that burn....

The wicker has dried

Not a smidgen of drip

Clamped lips curled

Can't find the rhyme....

Lack-a-dazed

Steadied oars motion lifeless shores

My pour exhausted

Like doves with clipped wings

Running on empty....

Can't find the rhyme....

Popularity onslaught

Templates mask vulgarity

Massive hemorrhages

Splice my flow...

Can't find the rhyme......

Nine to five it

Amongst pagans cloned makeshift

Impatient sands sift empty

Tantrums stroll this denied soul...

Can't find it

Zapped drips

Wells run empty.....

I go thru motions

My hearts coast

Minds travels

Memory after memory

Stab wounds holster

This tomb of...

Long

Gone

Empty......

All is jaded reality

None of this shit impresses me.....

Empty.....

Can't find the rhyme

Bliss Overflow

Could have all the fixings of the world
Drapped the linens of life's extra trimmings
But what does it all mean...
To share, dream
When the night looms
I long you to fall into my embrace
My warmth shelters the winters breeze
Sonnets dance about my heart
What would it all mean...
To not share all of myself
The wealth of love welling
The streams flow from my heart
I burst by the seams
I covet your comforting folds
Your supple airs I nape upon
Calm like doves hovering piers
Your joyful rains
Jubilant teardrops
You captive my heart
Trembling aftershocks
My heart succumbs
You...the math to my equation...
My blight,
Eyes shimmer luminescent moonlights
I harbor your vixen within every fiber my core
Soaring suns to your radiant sparkle
I shall want not....
Expose' parlay insurgent Mi' Amore
The day you waltz my front doors
Heart valves catapult glazed elevations
Celebrations
Precipitations.....
Drizzled your loving downpours...
I heed your score....
Finesse me your illustrious....
Indelible soars....
Finesse me your Mi' Amore
I need you so....

This piece was inspired by someone who holds a very special place in my heart, this one is for you.......

The soul of my eyes see

Your visual landscape

Dominates my every thought

The compass of my heart

Shifts like brisk winds

A breeze falters my soul

Swept a midst kalidescope invoked

Your array affectionately tracing

Imprint embedded upon this lone heart

Your blossoming succumbs

Immense rumblings peril

The depths of me

You charter this once lone soul

You blanket me such warmth

Kindles exudes this intense blaze

Magnitudes of such affections dispel

In my lone hours, my heart distorts

Questions of why or why not

I should hold myself at fault

I exude this lovers prowess

As I chance the enchantments

As I motion towards thee

When I think of the sun

Sensations sparkle a once tormented heart

I cannot not fathom another moment apart

I want to be the reason of that smile that forms

I want to give you that new stride

You have rebirth something inside me

Alive again, so surreal

Such ambiguous spark

You are like the winds ascending the calm

Disdain the remnants, the still silence

Insatiable whims whisk the nightfall's

I want to be your all, you my shining light

Indulged me your sparkle glare

Exchanging stares, eyes like dancing stars

For so long, suffering through the rigors of

How long must I prolong

You are my soulful song

Trying to decipher, is this right or wrong

A thousand lifetimes over

Still conjuring, is this right or wrong

A man once told me "Always follow your heart"

Such a spark ignited, though this came uninvited

Today.......I confess....my heart like GPS

Following these trials, the alto of your beckoning call

My heart submerges these indelible tangibles I digest

Spruce me your blossom, rose petals layer your spreads

Embellish me the relic of your kisses

A time traveling seeking your heart, pieces of me

Crossing distant seas, this me and you

Close in jurisdiction, fixations for thee

Yet....seems as if you are many miles away

To have you

To hold you

To need you

This I do desire this very day.......

No matter the distance

The undercurrents

The resistance

My heart leads to your doorstep

Shallow spews conclude this dissertation

My fixation upon thee......

I can see you

Can you see me......

Take my hand as we ride this chariot

Take my hand, come away with me

Come with me.....Come this way.....

Here, I still stand

Behind every test

I have withstood

Strong and girded

As a gladiator

As I roam

The valleys and peaks

What was made to strike me down

Hoping I would fall weak

I know no defeat

Formed and made complete

For every test is a test of wills

Concealing my place, I stand still

For every season

There is always reason

Treason lurks

I tread upon thee

Boldly I go

Fear shall never show

Can't let them see me sweat

Adversity was the outset

Here today, I proclaim

In victorious stance

I call it by name

Victory is mine...I won't be defeated

As I go forth boldly...My task must be completed

Here I stand......

2011-12-02T14:40:00.000-08:00

Got my wings

Today, I find reason to smile

Joy

Glee

The suns beams

Horizons subside me

To good to be

Throwing away the old

As I celebrate the new me

Loving me

Celebrating me

Free from adversity

As my wings spread

Watch this eagle

Ascend the clouds

As I soar freely

I awaken with a smile

Thankful to be

Molded uniquely

No more sorrow

No more negativity

No more zapped energy

As I spring my wings

Savoring the crisp airs

As I soar above.......

I soar freely......

Sunshine's on my mind........

How Long?!?............

It ups and just by passes my existence

Persistent calls to God and wondering why

Why such the long wait

Am I being punished for all my mistakes

Only so much of this heartache I can take

Everyday I awake, I give, I give

Do what I got to do, so I can live

Many deposits with no return

Expecting me to smile

All willie and optimistic

How long must I wait

Or will I spend my life

Paying for all my mistakes

Can't catch a break...going on 41

Not feeling to great, just want to catch a break

When will my time come

When it comes to love

Like an escaped convict

Always seems to be on the run

Do I need to hostage

Hold her with the gun

When is the winds of change

Going to blow my way

This is not about getting some

NO....not me, cause see

All I need is one....

So tell something GOD...

When is it going to happen

Don't have many more years to go

And must not forget, not young anymore

Waking this bed alone on the daily

Love, would you come and save me

This is deeper than want.......

Something my heart so badly needs

I seek, I search, this is becoming to much work...

And if another person gives me advice....

Telling you know......It will happen some day

Okay.....Okay, here that almost everyday....

There has got to be somebody.....after all

There a gazillions souls that dwell this earth

Still.....I wait, I wait, I search, I debate

I get pissed, get sad, get mad

]When I see that happy couple, wishing it was me

Taking romantic walks in the spring

But it seems all I run across is....

Fling

After

Fling

After

Fling

After

Fling

My mind begins to ponder

Many days I wonder

These desires taking me under

But you promised me......

Yeah I know....It's not the season

So what's the reason, I am to.....

Dwell on my own....

I try to see the good in it all.....

But at almost 41, when is my time to come.......

Just so sick of waiting so long........

So when will my time be

When will the day come

When will this meant to be

When will this be a part of my reality

Just so sick of the waitin

Constant debatin...

One day all smiles

Another day all frowns

All of these up and downs

Do you even care

Do you hear me now

Or is this all a mistake

To ask of you....When...When

When will I get my turn

My chest burns nightly

Brighten my heart this very being

Cause see....Even though I'm a man

My heart has adsorbed enough of these lonely tears

Not trying to debate

Not hear to question you

But how long.....how long

How long must a man wait.........

Seeking cover........

Everything is slow pace

As I fall to slumber

I cover up my face

Thinking my life is a waste

Trying to sleep it off

So I cover my face

Don't want nobody

To see what

Dwells inside this

Troubled heart

This is nothing

To do with fear

I want to speak out

But would anybody hear

So in the meantime

I cover my face

Shut my lids

Hoping when I awake

Todays pain

Tommorrow will be erased

I don't wanna talk

I just want to cover my face

This hovering cloud

Feeling such a disgrace

I wanna scream

Then I think

Contemplate

One breath to waste

I grab the pillow case

Just want to cover my face

So much I want to reveal

My soul is troubled

Depressions a rampid overkill

I just want to cover my face

Holding back the tears

Holding back the hurt

Feeling like my life

My life as I see it

Is nothing but......

One

Big

Waste

As I dwell this desolate place

Trying to fight it.....

Just want to cover my face.........

Just want this pain to evaporate

I need escape, loosing my faith

Running low on patience

Sick of the matrix, been so many places

Just want to cover my place

Can't take it.....I dwell this empty space..........

Our Love~A RDS Collaboration featuring Alfreda Ghee

Alfreda Ghee

Look at you with that bright smile

Those beautiful eyes that see right through me

That loving heart that I refuse to let go of

The soul of an angel that I will cherish for ever

Cant seem to get you out of my mind

Lying here in time and all I seem to see is you

Filling spaces but they are just empty without you

Losing my mind because you are out of my reach

Falling deeper and deeper into this dark hole that surrounds the ground

knowing that you are the desires seeking my every breath

Wanting you more and more within

Yearning and burning for your loving touch

Calling out for your touch in the midst of the night

feeling that you cant be too far from that bright star

Loving you scores upon scores

Rushing and sweating to get to your door

Like a loading gun waiting to fire the desires that are stirred up inside

Firing with all ive got not to miss the spot on your chest

Aiming to win your love above all and place it upon my breast

Wishing that we could be closer to this we share

The flares that rise when you cross my mind

When it ignites we wont be able to fight this feeling that we feel

My entire life I have spent searching for you

Now its time you follow those lights to where we will make a home

For two to become one!!!

PoetauthorRoberto Denaro Styles

A shift in my heart

As I marinate

Your many expressions of we

Penetrating the depths of my soul

I long your warmth at night

No longer shall my heart go lone

No longer shall I dwell distant and cold

I want to scream those three words

Shout them to every area code cause see.....

I didn't find you, you find me....

You brought forth discovery

Uncovering the true heart of me

Long buried under the rubbles

As I was lost, a shattered abyss

A lifeless shell dwelled this cold world

My precious pearl, my wonderful world

As I hearken to your calls.....We hold hands

Not for occasion....the persuasion of mode

Everything just feels right with you

You are the embodiment of me

You are my lost in every thought of thee

Your soulful sonnets wisk me away

By greater degrees

Knowing you are just a call away

Mutually understanding, you are my perfect plan devised

You are my actuality....my reality.....My every memory

You are my meant to be......Closer than family.....And yes....

You get me.....You know my fears......You understand me......

For each time we enevolope ourselves the whims of our affectionate favors shared......Your stare, that glare captures me as we lock......

Seeing not just the shell of thee......Seeing deeper inside me.....

Intense the chemistry......This surge of love penetrates me

Our blossom unfolds fate.....You brought the great within me.........

You are all that I can't be......You complete me, you don't just desire the idea of me.....

You desired every fold of my existence......Your presistence at times.....Had me questioning God like "What is this"

What is happening to me.....Suddenly, I can see us, matrimony.....My one and only......The first and last woman I will ever kiss.......

You cross my mind......Sincerly yours my dear.......

Fate has made it's way, opening the vaults of my heart, once headed for ruins.......Unexpected......This love I do receive........

You enhance me my precious misses......My queen.....My premadonna.......Bath me your delightful kisses......

My tasteful treat.......As we retreat to sollitude.....

Your love has awakened me.....My thirst you quench......

I need you closer to me........Every fold of you I need........

I heed your mating rituals......You are my divine......My spiritual connection......

As I reflect upon the thousand of days, a thousand ways I can say to you......How much I truly adore.....How much I truly love you.

Precious Nightingale

I need to dwell spells of thee

Sweetened aromas therapeutic

Embellish me your crisp airs

Comforting the murmurs

Of hearts longing cries

You are my angel eyes

You are more to me

Than hips, dips and thighs

I desire your presences

Mentally

Emotionally

Spiritually

Physically

Heightened degrees

More than just ecstasy

You are the fulfillment

Of all my dreams

Come dwell with me

Grace me my precious Queen

Redeem your heart to thee

Dwell next to me

Passions looms

The stills of silence

Taken a back by the flutter

Of your heartbeat

Every breath you utter in distance

In rhythm

In sync

Just think, nothing could go greater

Than a pair such as you and me

You are my perfect fit

Like a pair of tims well fit

You are the better half of me

My persistence for thee

Is to exist forever as we

Just you and me

So fond….truly blessed

That we can share a love of this……..

Seeking It's Whereabouts

I’m a by product of the gentle stills of love

It brings me tranquility, helping to simplify

But for so long, feels like I am chasing a lie

A mirage to the human eyes……As I walk

Moving thru the after planes….

My heart has become a deserted terrain of ruin

I hear cupids call, in my mind…I seek logic

I seek reasoning…..God seasons my soul

These special ingredients, he implanted this

Desirable recipe…..But the mind of me still questions

Who is called to me…..Who is meant to be…

Imprisoned to the anguish of heartache by greater degrees

I just want this to actualize, form my hearts eyes to see

Troubling thoughts evade my soul, so much has taken toll

My heart can’t withstand another ache….can’t withstand another bad break

Maybe I am just a realist……Only believing in what I see…..

Many desire a want for me, but they are not into to ME…

They are into the idea of me…..It’s not me they long for

They only desire the poetry in me…The trust in me has descended

Too much of this……..Wrong time, wrong place

Just a quick rendezvous at my place or there place

Then it’s more of the same….That’s why I need my space…….

Have I given up…….I wish not to entertain such a notion

Cause see……The heart of me, breeds loves purity

But the sin within me……Refuses to open my heart to see

It’s like a metal coated shell, severing my ties with all the alibis

All the deception, being the other man……pretending its all fine

In my mind, this blissful, happy ever after is only a dream in my scheme of thought

I bare my soul, I admit, I am a broken man…..Who would have thought

After all…..A man like me, quite enticing to the human eye

Been told of my handsome, features godly groomed…but to be specific

I too long that romance, as we advance the scales of the stars, gazing upon the moon

My heart bleeds for the happily ever after…..Or at least that used to be the case

Now…..I prolong this slow pace…….after all the hurt, consecutive times

Getting to know someone, finally feeling I can unwind with some quality time

A touch, a kiss….springs forth an unwarranted friendship…..

Left asking myself how did I get into this……All because of a kiss…..

Trying with everything to understand this, I tango this lovers matrix

Only to be placed on reserve……Waiting to be brought off the bench

Cause see…..I know what it is to be….Someone’s joy….momentarily…..

I know what it is to be the maintenance that provides a temporary fix…

I know what it is to be someone’s addiction….Nothing more….

This underscore derives my every predicament….Still asking God

What is this…..Why choose me…..You loosing me with all the woes

And by the way……You are moving to slow…..Yeah, I know that’s wrong for me to say….

My heart holds the torments of a lost runaway….Wandering aimlessly in this distorted wonderland

Where I am nothing more than just that make you feel good, late night after 2 am kind of man…

At least that’s the perception…….I don’t know about He….But as far as ME…..

I long to love strong, hard, mental and physical…..All just an instrumental process

For now……*sigh* I digress……Don’t know if I can handle the process

Of all the start over agains, taking chances, so many advances, only to become….Just a friend…

This road I have traveled long enough……For every murmur of my heart, throttles bewildered

They always say….Name it, claim it….But its been forty years now…..Forty years too long…

God please explain to me…..Because I simply can’t take it……Fill me where I am void

Cause my cup of love is running on empty…….

What can you tell, please explain, sick of the games……..

I need you to help me………My poetic confessions…….

I still believe........my thoughts, my pain....my hearts endurance.

2011-08-29T00:06:00.000-07:00

As I bare my soul
I still believe
In the art of romance
Yes....I still believe
I believe in.......
Warm hugs
Affectionate kisses
I believe....
Somewhere out there
I shall have my true misses
No need to toss a pebble......
Nor send a message in the bottle
As it floats the currents of the seas
I still believe....yes, I still believe
That somewhere.....out there
That my true love awaits me
I still believe......
That my true love
Will love me infinitely
Even the imperfect me....
I still believe......
That this mate of soul.....
Was perfected
God made
Something I shall witness
Knowing that she is........
Hand crafted just for me....
I still believe......
In romance
Bubble baths
And passionate kisses
I still believe......
That somewhere
Out there
Anywhere
Everywhere......
There is that special someone
Who is tailor fitted......
Divinely sculpted
An image that these eyes of mines
Imagery that my soul is destined
Imagery that my eyes excite to see......

I just know there is someone for me....
Sculpted
Tailor fitted
Divinely made
Just for me......
I hold to these hopes.....
Because.....Yes
I confess

I still believe.............

Is There Such A Truth (Just For Me)

2011-06-13T12:46:00.000-07:00

Thru your eyes…….

When you see me
You don’t see my warmth
You don’t see my pain
You don’t see the many nights
These shattered ruins left dormant
Remains
Stains
Of a man with a broken heart
All you see
Is the outer shell of me
Not what dwells within me
You don’t see
The many times
Left stranded
By the weaponry of mass deception
Since the day of my inception
No other than Gods hand of protection
You don’t see…..
No matter how hard I try
Sticking to my code
An ode of one of the few good guys
You don’t know….
I have had to sever many bad ties
Said my farewells
Still, simply doing what I felt was best at the time
Still, slandered to be this bad guy
All because I said my good byes
You couldn’t let go
Wouldn’t try…..Need closure
Asking me questions why….
But I tried…..thru and thru
All the jealousy
All the competition
Competing against another woman
I will admit….she’s cute, she’s fly
But for me, I am a man of character
And looks alone can’t keep these eyes
I need to research a bit deeper
See what’s inside of your heart
Hold a conversation
To understand the situation
To know
The when’s
The what’s
And the whys
And stop tripping on me
I am not the other guys
I am forthright
We all grown here
No need to tell any lies
Lust is deceitful to the naked eye
I have to pull back my retnas
From looking at your thighs
I am not that guy
Not holding space of pedigree
A timeless entity
Many befriend me
But when faced with challenges
How many will remember me
Still……
In your eyes
I’m just a sleeping enemy
Sending cards, candy, flowers
With the sweet scent of your perfumes
I have been the other man
I have shared many nights
In another’s bed…….
But at the end, there is no kinship
Alone I hold my own in this friendship
My penmanship for the poetic song
Is the only air I breath
Whether I am up or down
My flow always there when in need

Still……

When they look at me
All the see is what the flesh wants
Not so much about what I need
I am nothing more than a quick fix
I am poetic therapist
Out of practice this very presence
When we converse
All they see is she, he
Or whomever
Nothing to do with me
Nobody cares about who I am
What I am passionate about
Or what ignites my flame
Its all about a late night thing
To kindle a spark
That has been long absent
For so many years
But I feel used up
Now, what am I to do
Wither in tears
Maybe this is the reason
My heart harbors many fears
Lust…..That’s all l see
Her seductive whispers
Piercing to my ears

What you see…..

Is a one time thing
Orgasmic rhythms
You don’t see me
You don’t want my heart
You just like the idea
That I’m a good cook with damn good looks
But there is more to me, more than the cover of the book

So before you say you want to be with me

Would you take this man
In spite my many imperfections
Tell me…..Would I still be your numero uno
Would I still be your selection

Would you take me…..

If I didn’t have a college degree
If I didn’t feel like making love today
Would you…..Would you be okay with that

Would you take me……

All of me,

Not just the thing dangling between my legs
Would you take me not just for the flesh of me
Would you take time, to learn me, to understand me
To get to know the mind of me…..Because see
Everyone talks of mating, souls and chemistry
But me, myself…..I seek you to devour me
A deeper level of intimacy……Not just a one time thing

I have had enough of all the superficial aspects
Doing all the right things, still getting no respect

And finally……

I was raised by a King and Queen
One thing that taught me
I want what they share
Immense chemistry
41 yrs of marriage
Now that’s what I call a winning team…..

Frankly……..

I’m tired of love, not so much the phrase
But these modernized definitions
Connotations conflicted
A society that’s lust addicted
Which leaves the lonely soul conflicted
Many images depicted….Sodomized by all this fantasy

And yes….I am no prude
Not meaning to be rude
I too harbor sensuality
I too have my fantasy

But most importantly…….

I seek a deeper
Meaningful love

A love for me…..

A love for my mind

A love for my heart

A love for my spirit with in

A love that goes deeper than friends

A love that knows no ends

But see…….

All catch is all the residue

Just to get more of the same…….

But my questions I pose to God……

If you say you are of love……..

Is there someone for me…..

Just me……Who can love me

Cherish me……Embrace me

The way that you do…….

Make a believer……Make this my truth

So that I can be free to say those three words…………

I LOVE YOU

AND

I DO……

Make me a believer

Make me a receiver

I just need to know

Is there such a thing….

For me…..Will this ever be true……
