In winter some people feel gloom
Within the quiet of a room.
Now hope begins to find it's plume,
And every flower starts to bloom.
There was silence when snow did fall,
A hush that settled over all.
But now I hear each robin call
As green vines climb the garden wall.
The frozen river forced a crack
Where winds finally did slack
As I leave shadows at my back,
I'll find the strength I should not lack.
The winter chill has bid adieu.
Now the sun shines in skies so blue.
I feel peace as I start anew
And see all the stars twinkling too.
The beauty of the earth's profound
With a quiet joy in each sound.
As butterflies dance all around,
Hope and resilience are found.
