Just found the official movie trailer for Pokemon The Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom. Here's the synopsis from Pokemon.com:

During their travels through the Unova region, Ash and his friends Iris and Cilan arrive in Eindoak Town, built around a castle called the Sword of the Vale. The three Trainers have come to compete in the town’s annual battle competition, and Ash manages to win with some unexpected help from the Mythical Pokémon Victini! It turns out Victini has a special bond with this place...
Long ago, the castle watched over the Kingdom of the Vale, and the partnership between Victini and the king protected its people who lived there. But that kingdom has since vanished into memory, leaving behind powerful relics and ancient Pokémon. Damon, a descendant of the People of the Vale, is trying to restore the lost kingdom with the help of his Reuniclus. His quest has taken him to the far reaches of the barren desert, and he has convinced the Legendary Pokémon Reshiram to join him in the search for truth!

Pokemon Arceus Movie

The Pokemon Trilogy is coming to a close in the United States with Cartoon Network's, November 20th showing of Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life.

The first two movies in this trilogy were Pokemon: The Rise of Darkrai and Pokemon: Giratina & The Sky Warrior. So if you haven't seen them yet, you've still got some time.

It looks like in this one Dialga, Palkia and Giratina are still fighting and somehow this wakes up Arceus. Now Arceus is said to have helped shape the world and was betrayed by the people in the city of Michina. Now that he's awake, he's a treat to all of time and space.

I really like how the Pokemon movies have gotten a lot bigger and more grand in plot lately. Ash running around with Brock and his Pokemon is fine for the TV shows but in these movies all of time and space is threatened and that's pretty cool.

Pokemon Rumble

Pokemon Rumble is coming to the Wii on November 16th, 2009. This WiiWare game is rumored to cost about 1500-2000 Wii points but we won't find out the exact price until the release date. If you're a bored Pokemon Ranch owner who is craving more action, this new game will not disappoint.

In Pokemon Rumble you are in control of a wind up Pokemon toy and you must advance through levels and battle every single Pokemon that you see. There's also a Battle Royale mode where dozens of Pokemon battle at once and the last one standing is the winner.

Also unlike Pokemon Ranch, Pokemon Rumble allows up to four players at once so you can share the action with your pals.

Pokemon Giratina Movie

I recently saw the Pokemon Giratina Movie and boy was it great. This is the 11th Pokemon movie and it's definitely one of the best. The movie's actual title is Pokemon: Giratina & The Sky Warrior.

If you've played Pokemon Platinum and you've been to the reverse world were you can walk up walls and gravity doesn't really work right then you'll be psyched when you see it in the movie. Giratina lives in the reverse world along with a dedicated scientist who's obsessed with his research of this world. Well his old student is the bad guy of this film and he wants to abuse the power of the reverse world and also of the Shaymin Pokemon that befriends Ash, Brock and Dawn.

Animation is top notch and definitely much better than what you're used to seeing on Pokemon TV shows. Very detailed characters and backgrounds really bring this movie to life.

So if you've been thinking about checking out the next installment in the Pokemon movie franchise, then go for it. The Pokemon Giratina movie is awesome!

Pokemon Pencils

Summer is winding down and it's time to start stocking up on those back to school supplies. One thing that you'll want to make add to every Pokemon fan's backpack are these cool Pokemon Pencils

What do you look for in a Pokemon Pencil? Well if you have to take one of those computer tests you've got to make sure it's a Number Two pencil. These Pokemon pencils are Number Two pencils.

Most importantly, they've got Pokemon logos and characters on them. These are from Diamond and Pearl so of course they've got Dialga and Palkia. There's also a Darkrai pencil.

So when you're ready to give your Nintendo DSi a rest from all the summertime Pokemon playing that you've been doing, why not head back to school with a new supply of Pokemon Pencils.

Pokemon Platinum Guide

March 22nd is coming up fast and if you want to hit the ground running when you finally get your copy of Pokemon Platinum, then you should pick up a copy of the Pokemon Platinum: Official Game Guide.

Some people are against using the guide books but I'm a big believer in them. You can search the internet for tips and maps but having a hardcopy of everything you need in one spot is a huge time saver.

I wish we had a guide book for Pokemon Diamond. My son and I spent so much time back tracking to get the stupid bicycle coupon. We could have read the guide and saved a lot of time.

Wow, this guy is awesome. I stumbled across this video of him drawing Pokemon and next thing I knew I was looking for a pad and paper. He make it look so easy.

In the video this guy draws a picture of Ash Ketchum and also one of, who else, Pikachu.

Hmmm, my drawings didn't come out so great so I had better pick up a book like this, How To Draw The Pokemon

If you've got a Pokemon lover that you need to buy a gift for this holiday season, then you should pick up a copy of Let's Find Pokemon!

It's basically a Where's Waldo?
book but instead of finding Waldo, you find your favorite Pokemon. We got this book for our son, who's six years old and he loves it. He sits there and studies the book for longer than I thought his attention span would allow him too. It's great for long drives in the car too.

The pictures are great and highly detailed with well over a hundred Pokemon on just about every page. The best part about this book are the bonus challenges. Not only do you have to find the Pokemon that they ask you to but at the end of the chapters they ask you to go back and find additional items. These extra items can are pretty tough. For example the book will say, in the last 12 pages there is only one Jigglypuff. Go back and find it.

After spending sometime with this book, it'll be a breeze to find Waldo.

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is an update to that weird first Pokemon Ranger game where you have to draw circles around Pokemon to catch them. The new version is much improved with harder missions, the addition of quests and the addition of Pokemon from the Diamond and Pearl
games.

If you're new to the Ranger games, you may think it's pretty odd to catch Pokemon with the Capture Styler instead of Pokeballs but after playing a while, you'll be drawing circles like a pro.

And the story mode makes a lot more sense this time around. I don't think I was the only person who thought that the old Ranger story was confusing.

Overall, this game should appeal to all Pokemon fans whether they played the original Ranger game or not.

Rare Pokemon Card

One of the questions that I get all the time is about the value of Pokemon Cards. Most parents, myself included, like to tell a story about how they used to own a special baseball card that would be worth tons of money by now, if only their Mom didn't throw it away. For me it wasn't a baseball card though it was my massive collection of Star Wars cards. Chewbacca's rookie card could probably pay off my mortgage by now.

So it's no surprise that there are Pokemon Trading Cards that fetch decent money. It seems that when Pokemon were riding their biggest wave of popularity in the late 90ies, that some cards were worth over $100.

With the economy in the toilet now, rare Pokemon cards are worth a lot less than they were before but there's still money to be made if you find a collector looking to buy the cards that you have.

Back they the Charizard card was the most valuable and for the most part, it still is one of the most valuable Pokemon Trading Cards.

So if you have one, be sure to hide it from your Mom before she throws it away.

How cool is this? In my last post I talked about the book How To Draw Pokemon, which is a great resource if you want to draw Pokemon. But then I discovered all the cool Pokemon drawing videos on YouTube.

If you're interested in drawing Pokemon, then this is the book for you.

How to Draw Pokemon is filled with step by step guides to drawing your favorite Pokemon characters. Even the best Pokemon Coloring Pages don't give you those step by step instructions that take you from simple shapes, (circles, ovals, etc.) to real live Pokemon drawings.

The book is only 32 pages so it won't cover the entire Pokedex but with some practice you could be drawing a decent amount of characters.

And I'm sure if you're like, me you'll skip right to the Pikachu guide anyway.

With everything and anything up on the web now, you're just a quick search away from tons of coloring pages. And since this is a Pokemon blog, of course we're going to be searching for Pokemon Coloring Pages.

Most coloring websites are organized by popular characters or themes. For example, click on Pokemon Coloring pages and you'll get a grid of small sized images for you to choose from. Click the one you want and it'll load into the full browser window for printing. Some sites have print links directly on the page. This is helpful when a site has tons of ads on the same pages as the images. And believe me, all of these coloring sites have tons of ads.

This site is in French but there's very little advertising that gets in the way of printing out these coloring pages. And the selection of Pokemon is very much up to date. Lots of these sites have pages from the original Pokemon game/cartoon and have never updated.

If you're looking to for specific Pokemon to color then this is the site for you. The text links on these pages are set up to mirror a Pokedex. Find the Pokemon or number that you want and print away. They only go up to #251 so it's not too out of date.
