Too lazy to update my blog, I'm sorry... but to make it all up to you, here's a "lakwatcha" post and #POOTD (Polina's Outfit of the Day).

Last Friday-Saturday was (I think) one of the worst days of my life. I don't wanna elaborate, basta. So last Sunday, I went out with Ate Gina and Gah to unwind. We had a little window shopping/ shopping at Trinoma.

Dinner at Gerry's and overnight stay at GEH. ☺ Relaxxxxing!!

Let the photos speaks for itself:

Superb Bazaar + Damon Salvatore on the side

2012-05-24T19:06:00.000+08:00

Hello!!! What a wonderful day today isn't? Or maybe it's just me. Anyways, I woke up early today to visit Superb Bazaar at SMX Convention Center. They'll be up until Sunday, so if you have time to visit, do so, THEY literally have a lot of girl stuff in store for everyone. ☺

I tried not to over-spend so here's what I purchased for myself:

1. Aztec shorts from Bubbles, bought it for P395.

2. Flats/ Sandals from S&H, bought it for Php500.

3. EOS Hand Lotion for Php 250? I think. It's from The Make Up Store.

You'll get this free bag upon entering. Btw, entrance fee is Php100 only.

4. Miner's Matte Factor in Peach, Php 300 (I think, not sure)

That's just about it really.

But the best part of today was... I got to see IAN SOMERHALDER in flesh!! yay!! I didn't know he was there, I just dropped by to buy something, then I caught gazillion of girls screaming I don't know why, until I saw his name flashing on the screen.... Waaaah!! Si Ian andito sa MOA. Hahaha! Nakigulo na din ako. ☺

Hello Damon!!! ♥♥♥

Gotta go guys, see you on my next post!

Sheer

2012-05-14T16:51:00.002+08:00

Got my sheer top (with gold detail on the collar) from Trendphile last week. I bought it for 480PHP I think? Not sure but yeah, I really liked it. ☺

I've been seeing a lot of online shops selling sheer tops and dresses and thought of getting one myself. And I think, it's my new favorite. ☺ It can be your bed jacket, cover up, or your top alone (just make sure to wear a skin-tone bra or black bra if you're not too conservative, LIKE ME! Haha).

So, this is it for now.. Don't forget to drop by AND SHOP at my online makeup haven called MAKEUP DEPOT. I know there's sooo many MAKEUP junkies out there, so please visit my store and shop for your favorite cosmetic brand. Alright? ☺

Weight Gainer

2012-05-12T02:27:00.000+08:00

Say hello to my new friend...

FYI guys, I weigh 42 kilos as of today. So that's 92 LBS. Hello underweight malnutrition? HAHA! Last Sunday, I went to GNC, Trinoma planning to grab the Whey Protein Milk Dar suggested me to drink since I'm planning to join my boy-friends (Jel, Biatch, Roj) on their Saturday "boxing" routine. I was giddy about it since I've been thinking about trying that before. And finally, I found friends who are into it as well.

Since today (May 12), is Mama's 40th day, I'll skip this Saturday and attend next week sesh with them. I'll update you guys at once. Hence, this Weight Gainer Milk I've been trying to consume for 4 days now gives no result... yet. Sabi ni Kuya Francis of GNC, I'll gain weight in 5 days if I drink this one 3x a day. Kaso ang bilis ko mabusog I swear so I take it once a day. Not bad, slow improvement I guess but NOT BAD at all. Since the 1st day I tried it, gosh, para akong may dalang bata sa tyan ko, ANG BIGAT! ☺ By the way, this cost me, PHP 2,700+? I think. Not sure, can't remember, but roughly that amount. I have 20% discount since I'm already a GNC member. HAHA.

Anyhoo, I'll keep you guys posted if this one will work on me. I hope so. :P

Thanks for dropping by!

xo,

I'll see you soon, Ma.

2012-05-11T22:30:00.001+08:00

Exactly, 39 days since you went away. I miss you so much, Ma. I know, nakikita mo ko while I'm inside your room. Iyak ako ng iyak Ma, I just couldn't believe you're gone.

Ganito pala kahirap at kasakit. :(

Nasstuck-up ako Ma. :(

Ma, ang dami dami kong gustong sabihin sayo. Ang dami kong gustong gawin, just to make it up to you.

Before namin finally i-give up lahat ng 'to, I decided to take photos of them, dahil alam kong after a year, or 2 years or 3 years from now, makikita ko 'tong post na 'to, maaalala kita, magiging fresh sakin lahat ng nangyari sa atin noong April 2, 2012. :'(

I miss you so much, Ma. :'(

I love you so much Mama. I'll see you soon.

Paulyn.

Movie Date: The Avengers

2012-04-28T21:12:00.002+08:00

My friends (Dar's family) and I went to Trinoma last night to watch The Avengers in 3D. We bought the 10:25PM movie time, arrived at past 8PM, had our pasta/pizza dinner at A Veneto (dinner c/o Kuya Mer *thanks Kuku), bought DQ for dessert (c/o Dar and Pat *thanks so much mga manager) and went straight to the cinema.

It was one hell of A GREAT MOVIE! Two-thumbs up! It's worth your penny, I promise. ☺

Anyhoo, here's some snapshots from our date out.

Mel: Marula in Gold ☺

2012-04-28T20:14:00.000+08:00

The long wait is over, hahaha after 3 days of waiting, finally my package arrived! My super cute pair of flats from Melissa. ☺ After swooning over this sandals at Shoe Salon in Trinoma and VMall, I decided to purchase it online via Zalora.

I was slightly disappointed with Zalora's delivery service. It took them 3 days before they ship the item. I called and followed up more than 3 times siguro just to make sure they'll ship my order on time. Akala ko pa naman same day delivery sila ('coz that's what they're promoting). Hence, when I was about to cancel my order today, sabay dumating naman.

Anyways, here's what I purchased:

PS: One thing about authentic Melissa shoes is that, THEY SMELL really good compared to Class A or Replica Melissa's na you can find online or sa Greenshills. This one smells really good haha.

See You Soon, Mama. I love you.

2012-04-08T14:22:00.001+08:00

Today, I have gone through every single thing you can imagine – anger, sadness, fear and guilt. Every inch. Every last one. Except regret, because I know you can't regret something you can’t change.

I felt Mama was taken from me long before she died. And I still feel that now.

That day, when Mama couldn't speak and say her last piece, seeing her look at me, incubated, eyes covered with tears, and fighting for her last breath.. those were one of the worst memories I have.

Just before Mama got real bad and they had to rush her to the hospital, I was out so they called me. And then literally when I arrived, she was weak and powerless, couldn't talk anymore. So I gave myself 2 options. One is to feel really guilty about it for the rest of my life. And the other is to forgive myself. Hence, I know the 1st option is way easier than the 2nd one. But sometimes I have to struggle with them both.

I know the only way for me to go on and move on is not dwell on those times. Sabi nga ni Albert sa akin, “you just have to bounce back”. Not think about the times where I just wished for everything to be over. Thoughts that sometimes, I wish things were different. Thoughts of .. I don’t know how to make it through the next hour or day or week without her.

I know I had to focus on the good. But I feel that I still need her every day. And every time a day ends. I’m still in shock. How will I make it through it without her. It's hard. :(

She raised me well. She made me this wonderful person I am today. And I'm thankful that she gave me her life, her everything.

I have to believe that somehow her 57 years here on earth had a purpose -- to serve, to help other people, to deliver goodness and knowledge, to care, to provide and to love each and one of us.

I break down all the time. All the time. And all I want to do is talk to Mama. To talk to her and tell her all my problems, and worries and tell her how much I love her.

It’s hard, and everything just looks black, and I can’t see anything except black and blank ahead of me.

Unfortunately, I know I still have quite a road left until I get to the end. Mixed emotions. Uncertainties. I really don't know.

Even if it's over, even if I know that she's now at peace, resting, there's still a tiny piece of hope that something will suddenly change and she’ll be okay again. That she won't leave us. I want to see her all the time, but it only makes me feel worse. And since she's gone, I couldn't stop thinking about her, sad thoughts keeps coming back, what ifs and what-could-have-been and they are so much worse than reality. :'(

I miss her so much. And it only made me realize I have no choice but to accept and move on.

Mama, I know you're up there...with Lolo and Lola now. With Papa God. But I miss you. Mahal na mahal kita, Mama. I know you're happy now. Pain-free. Rest well in peace. I will see you soon. I love you.

Life In Moving Pictures: A Mother's Love

2012-03-31T11:33:00.001+08:00

For today's theme in "Life in Moving Pictures", I want to dedicate this to every mother in the whole universe, who sacrificed their lives for their children and for the one they love. They are the best definition of what TRUE LOVE AND SACRIFICE is all about. You deserve all the recognition you can get. Nothing and no one can ever replace the role of being a Mother.

{Hence, I also wanted to share with you the letter I wrote for my Mama 2 years ago, when she was first diagnosed with cancer}

12 October 2010

Dear Mama,

When you were first diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma or Lung Cancer, for nearly a month I researched on what will happen. What new drugs were out, what food should you eat, what was the course for treatment, what is the life expectancy, etc. I wanted to know all of it. I read stories upon stories of other women diagnosed with Lung cancer. I needed to know what to expect. I just needed to know.

Now? Now I can’t look at another article or read another story. I know that sounds horrible, but the truth of it all is that I cannot read anymore because there are no happy ending. And that just sucks. =|

There are no words to describe how I feel watching you get sick, again.

I am mad. So freaking mad. Mad that your doctor just looked at me with a blank face whenever he pays you a visit at the hospital. Mad that we can't do anything to ease the pain you're going through.

On top of being so mad, I have to say that I am mostly heart broken. You may drive me absolutely insane because our personalities are so polar opposite a lot of times, but it does not change the fact that I need you here. Everyday.

I want to annoy you every single day with my katigasan ng ulo. I want to annoy you by pulling stupid pranks on you just to hear you yell and then sit back and laugh together.

I don’t know life without you. And I don’t want to, ever. And I know how unrealistic this is of me. I was never vocal with my feelings, alam mo naman yun. Ate and I may be old enough, but we still need our "Mama".

I want you to know that I love you. I love you so much. I love your spirit. I don’t look at this as a death sentence anymore, because you showed me that life is now. Now is what matters.

It is a funny thing, life. I spent so many years challenging you, and pushing for my independence and freedom and I watch life come full circle now that I have to face challenges alone. But the one thing remains a constant, you and your love for us. Somehow you knew that no matter how annoying we are, we would somehow find our way back, to you.

So you may have this stupid disease, and I may say it is robbing your health, or even the other day I said it is robbing me of you. But the one thing I realized while thinking about what to write was that it will never ever rob me of you. It can’t. I won’t allow it. You live in me.

Your love is in every ounce of who I am. I won’t let it take away the amazing memories.

I think of you every single time I hear Because you love me by Celine Dion.. because you have showed me that no matter what, you will always be there for us,, unconditionally forgiving and loving us.

I love you. I'm sorry for all the things I've done.

We need you Mama, please be strong for us.

Here's a song for you Ma.... and to every mother across the globe.

xo,

Happy Christening, Iñigo! ☺

2012-03-29T14:13:00.003+08:00

Last Sunday, March 25, I attended Iñigo Sebastian's (Marah and Irane's son) baptism, and was asked to be his godmother. ☺ The ceremony was held at San Agustin Church in Intramuros followed by an intimate reception at Amnesiac's Grill in Malate.

Only Gah, Faith and I were to able to attend, hence, it was a great time to catch up and bond again after some jurassic months and years that we didn't see other. ☺ Sobrang daming kwentuhan at tawanan. Anyways, here are photos from the reception:

What's In My Mail?!

2012-03-01T14:48:00.001+08:00

Hola!

Happy 1st day of March, how's everyone doing so far? Me?! Well, goin' thru rough times these days but let's not go into details na. Okay okay!?! ☺

Anyhoo, I woke up early today and surprise!!! Fresh from delivery! ☺

Neutrogena Philippines along with Argie Tabac of The Beauty Bin held a giveaway last February. Argie by the way, was one of Neutrogena's beauty challenger. She pledged to go on a date without any make up on after 6 weeks of using the Fine Fairness BB Cream UV. For the week 1 giveaway, 2 lucky blog followers of Argie will win a 30ml bottle of Neutrogena BB cream that costs Php720.

So I joined and tried my luck, and ta-daah, I was chosen (via random.org) as one of the lucky winners for the said giveaway! ☺ Yey!

(Click here to see the winners)

Argie left a cute note too. ☺

Thanks again, Argie! So excited to try this on! I'll email you and post a review on how it works for me. ☺

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fruitful Thursday! ☺

Mad about Lipsticks: Swatches

2012-02-26T15:10:00.002+08:00

Eversince my lipstick addiction started late 2010, products from MAC, Elf and Nyx have been my top faves. I love their color range and finishes.. and they are very affordable too (well, aside from Mac of course). Elf costs Php125-250 (roughly, $3-5) and Nyx costs Php250-300 (roughly, $6-7.50). While Mac will cost you, Php900-1000 (roughly, $20). Diba ang mahal?

Not only that, I also have a few items from Revlon, Lancôme, Christian Dior, Glitz 4u2, etc. So, last Friday, I finally had the time to swatch and shoot some of my collections with the help of 2 of my friends, Ria and Dianne. Hence, out of 30plus plus lippies, we were able to do 10 swatches only. There's too many to finish them in one night. I will update and post a new one, once I'm done with everything. ☺

Model: Dianne

MUA: Ria

Photos by yours truly. ☺

Tea Rose (NYX)

These lipsticks are really really nice and affordable (except for the Dior and Lancome ones). You can find Nyx at any make up online shop that sell Nyx products, I got mine from The Make up Store and Starmaine Cay. While Revlon, Glitz and Elf can be found at any SM, Landmark, Rustan's Department Stores near you. I hope to finish everything and share them with you. If you have your personal fave lipstick brands too, feel free to share them with me. I would love to explore and try! ☺

So, yeah that's just about it. There will be more in the future so watch out for it. ☺

Thanks for dropping by!
