I was actually going to have to skip this week..for the first time since I started doing AW. Even though I didn't have a Crackle Manicure on My nails. I thought it My be nice to show a cute Crackle Neon Skittle Mani I did on My Mom.

The neon colors are all Color Club & I Used OPI Black Shatter for the Crackle.

ARTSY WEDNESDAY Saran Wrap

This weeks Challenge was to make a Saran wrap Manicure...This was pretty easy it's just like sponging but instead of a sponge you just ball up a small piece of Saran Wrap then tap it onto a coat of wet polish...of course after you've already laid down a base color that's completely dry...
The end result is a really cool two toned look. I used blues & think mine looks like acid wash jeans :)

Lady Dracula Manicure

I'm in the Halloween spirit today & wanted to do Dracula inspired nail Art. I went with the Vampy Lady Dracula Theme & I Loved how they turned out....I saw bloody manicures everywhere & was dying to do one. Everyone was doing bites, splatters or drips. I wanted My manicure to be bloody but a bit different so I went with fingerprints.

ARTSY WEDNESDAY Season inspired

This weeks manicure is inspired by the current season. I live on the West Coast in California so the season is Fall. I was inspired by the leaves & sky. I chose a beautiful golden holographic color called CLASSIC by OPI, it's apart of the Designer Series. It's not really a huge contrast but as an accent on the Thumb & Ring finger I added 2 coats of Butter London's Tarts of Heart.

ARTSY WEDNESDAY GALAXY

Welcome to another week of ARTSY WEDNESDAY. Where a group of ten Nail artist vote on weekly themes and execute them based on interpretation or technique. This weeks theme is Galaxy nails...the idea is to make your nails look like the outer space.

This is my first Galaxy manicure. I decided I wanted a nebula inspired look because I wanted the base of my look to be a berry color instead of black. I'm very happy with the way this manicure came out.
I painted the nails a base color of OPI DS Extravagance....Then sponged on Revlon Powder Puff and Sally Hansen Thinking Of Blue. Using varies sized dotting tools I dotted on white paint and topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust

This week we are pulling inspiration from jewelry. Since I have a jewelry box FULL of baubles...it was hard to pick. I for sure thought Id go with My prized possession.... A gorgeous canary diamond engagement ring but figured the yellow would be hard to match & translate into a mani.(picture added below). So I went with Costume Jewelry. A wild rainbow stack ring that I wore throughout the summer.....
This ring is so loud I decided to go with a crazy rainbow on one finger and keep the rest clean cut with My absolute favorite matte white! I love the finished look!

This weeks theme was Framed Manicures which basically is putting a border around Your nail. I chose to use loose purple hexagon glitter placement for My frames. I'm very happy with the end result & the color scheme

I painted a base coat. Dotted on a contrast color..then sponged (using eyeshadow sponges) on more color at the free edge getting lighter as I approached the cutical. Topped with Seche

ARTSY WEDNESDAY: Fishtails

Welcome to Another week of ARTSY WEDNESDAY....This Weeks Challenge was to incorporate a fishtail (braided) look into our manicures

This was my first time Tackling this technique & I'm quite proud of how it turned out. There are many how-to instructions for fishtails floating around the net if Your unfamiliar with how to do this. I decided to go with thinner stripes instead of a chunkier look...it took a bit longer but was worth the extra effort. I also made mine a lite off center on purpose...just to give it slightly different look (not sure if it made a difference)
This manicure is definitely a practice makes perfect & I plan on trying this several more times with different colors.
I incorporated two Nicole OPI colors from My untrieds & I love them together :)

Maybelline Great Lash Limited edition colors

I picked up the new Limited Edition Great Lash colors
There are 4 new colors available:

•Totally Teal
•Go Go Green
•Pop Of Purple
•Blink Of Blue

The formula true to form is Amazing. The colors leave a bit to be desired if Your looking for bold bright color like the advertisement represents.
The colors come off a bit more subtle with the purple being the least pigmented.
My favorites were the Teal and the Green. I've swatches them below.

ARTSY WEDESDAY Matte N Shine

This weeks theme was to incorporate matte & shine into one manicure. I went with Black & ivory colored Dice with shiny dots...I pretty happy with the turnout except the overall look was a bit chunky due to the fact that I was lazy and didn't remove my last manicure of Nars Orgasm :/
But I feel my shorter nail length was perfect for dice. If my nails had been longer I definitely would have went with Dominos ;)

•WarPaint Beauty Mattify

I love the look of runway pearl & ravens strength with the matte coat. They both have gorgeous shimmer that has a nice depth when flat....

My Pretty Orgasm

Yea I said it...My Orgasm is Pretty :)

I topped my Nars Orgasm with Deborah Lipmanns Oh you Pretty Things

I was so lucky to find (ie. STALK) Deborah Lippmann polish at My local Tj Maxx. I called and had them hold what they had. The associate was like do You wanna know the colors? I was like Nope, Just hold em...I will be right there within the hour. I'm sure he thought I was a polished crazed wierdo lol.
Anywho legend had it that the coveted DL polish was being sold at TJ for 5.99
Wellllllll the rumors are TRUE...I only paid 5.99each for 2 bottles of naked which is an amazing nude (I already own her) that I gifted to My Mother & Younger sister
The 3rd bottle was a beautiful soft sheer peach with pink coral shimmers called Oh You Pretty Things....Gorgeous.

I knew I would layer her with a similar shade I aready own Nars Orgasm. This combo is soooooo amazing. Pictures don't do the magic on my finger tips justice (I've also cut my talons into nubbies that I'm LOVING)
I tried to capture the essence of this manicure.....just trust me on this one...I've painted my nails hundreds probably thousands probably more but anyway....this has got to be in My top five favorite combos!
