Is the DEMOCRATIC Party Complicit

As a frustrated Democrat, I have to ask the following questions. Where are the elected Democrats when Unions rights are being destroyed ? Where are the Democrats when Voter rights are being taken away ? Where have the elected Democrats been when Americans are being beaten, tear gassed and arrested for peaceful protests against the 1% ?
The sporadic and barely visible lip service that the DNC and the U.S. Congressional Democrats have given to today's top issues is weak at best.

If the answer is no to these questions, we have to wonder if the party is complicit with Big Business, Wall Street and Republicans

1.) Are Republicans smarter than Democrats ?
(Why do republicans WIN and CONTROL every media message)

2.) Are Democrats not able to organize,plan and communicate ?
(Why can't they learn or emulate what has been beating them day in and day out)

3.) Is the DNC unable to be disciplined and structure Democrats speaking as One ?
(Democrats don't go out in force to every media outlet, having the same speaking points and being prepared for every argument)

4.) Are Democrats on the side of the middle class and the poor ?
(It is the fight and the results. Democrats seem to not have)

5.) Can Democrats use rules and procedures to get results in the U.S. Congress ?
( Republicans have out maneuvered and brought government to a stop, Democrats can't find rules, change the filibuster, stop demonstrative bullying)

When GOP say it's economic warfare - Democrats cower and say no, no. Instead of saying Yes it is warfare, warfare on the middle class and the poor.

WHY is it so hard to turn the phrase and crazy talk back on the GOP for the Democrats

We need to review whether the current DNC organization, the elected U.S. Congressional Democrats and our President have our best interest at Heart ? If the answer hopefully is yes, then we need to ask
Are they truly Fighting for us ? Is it only words ?

Those of us who had high hopes and voted for President Obama need to take a step back and evaluate what we expected, what we were promised and has President Obama delivered on his words.

Barack Obama is a good man, good father. He has shown us he can deliver soaring speeches and has a charisma that is very endearing. We desperately wish he is successful and accomplishes the goals he set out when campaigning.

Now to the reality of his Presidency. The successful communicator has become a person that is unable to control a message. He allows others to define and determine the direction of the message. Then it becomes an uphill and mostly unsuccessful attempt to get back any control. He has shown that he allows Congress to determine legislation without any direction, parameters or committal.

President Obama is either naïve, receives bad advice, makes bad decisions, or is not decisive. Obama doesn't realize the power of the Presidency. People will not follow you if you back down, vacillate or gives away positions.

President Obama is very confident in himself he has a swagger that shows in his words. President Obama Loses the swagger and the words become hollow because he isn’t willing to stand firm.

We have seen President Obama willing to throw positions and people under the bus in favor of "bi-partisanship". When he has tried extending his hand, the conservative members of Congress slap him down with the knowledge that he will acquiesce. The American People respect strength, resolve and fighting for what you believe in.

Our Question becomes, Mr. President, What do you really believe in? Words are not enough, speeches solve nothing. President Obama is easily intimidated by Fox News and the conservative radio personalities. What we have is either a tepid Leader or someone who is afraid of the fight.

Obama has ignored the people who went door to door. President Obama chooses to dismiss his Democratic base. He has even insulted the very people who believed in him. The President assumes his voters have but no choice to vote for him so, his response is deal with it. You seem more in tuned to bending towards the corporations, Wall Street and the GOP.

Who do Democrats Respect?
F.D.R ,the greatest President, he intimidated the Republicans. F.D.R teased and made fun of the Republican positions, he had backbone. Lyndon Johnson got an amazing amount of legislation done. He was tough,aggressive and would have sliced right through these Republicans of today. Teddy Roosevelt another one of America's greatest President's ( and a Republican ) broke up corporations, Banks because the GREED was impacting America. By today standards probably with his conservation of lands and other positions would be considered Liberal. THESE are the President's you should learn from and emulate.

If you ignore the Unions, the middle class and the base that elected you, make no Mistake, WE will not show up for you. We will not go door to door for you. We will not support you. Time is running out and you show no awareness or concern. Remember the 2010 elections you assumed your base would turn out, they didn’t and you lost. Not a single prosecution of Wall Street,Banks, and the GOP. You personally have stepped in and pressured State district Attorney's to not prosecute Wall Street and Banking corruption. Ignoring the Voter suppression that the Republican Governors have constructed throughout the country that will hurt Democrats elections and your ability to get re-elected is political suicide. What does Eric Holder do? Are you on the side of the people or the powerful and the rich? There is nothing you can do or say that will get you the support from the conservatives so, cowering and "looking like the reasonable one" will not get you support from Republicans or the Democrats.

How Can you Recover:

1.) Remove Geithner and Appoint President Bill Clinton
President Clinton has studied the economy everyday for hours as a routine
and his results on the economy as President was impressive. It might be a short term gimmick but it will
MOTIVATE THE BASE

2.) Challenge Every Voter suppression Bills passed by Republican State Governors. Hold it up in court or Have an Executive Order that overturns the voter Intimidation and suppression laws.

3.) Have Joe Biden request Hillary Clinton (has 80% approval right now) run as Vice President and Biden will takeover Sec. of State position that he wants. Hillary has stated no more public office but that is where Leadership from Obama comes in. Convince her she needs to do it for her Party and the Country

4.) Organize behind the scenes the 99% / occupy Wall Street movement with the Unions. Get a strong Leader with a Backbone like Alan Grayson to be the spokesman. Have them prioritize 3 Top Goals ONLY

a. Fairness (Corporations and the Top 1% Rich must pay their share)
b.) ReBuild the Middle Class
c.) Eliminate Political Corruption

5.) The DNC needs to be OverHauled . Have a division that coordinates all media (radio,Tv & print) SPEAK with one voice, have talking points. Speak in easy to remember phrases and say it over/over/over/over. Organize who will go on the shows -eliminate the long winded,eyes glazing talk the people don't pay attention. Stop allowing the GOP to control the media message. Actually learn from them! They don't win because of their ideas, they win because of their Propaganda machine and MONEY.

Jerry Travels all around the world to this day to get people, organizations and corporations involved and donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jerry Lewis has raised more than 2.6 BILLION Dollars from the Telethon alone. He personally went to the firefighters,shopping stores,students,letters carriers,companies,corporations and too many others to list to sponsor and raise money yearly for M.D.A.

Jerry Lewis didn't invent the Telethon but he is the standard for which all others model and aspire to in order to achieve the very best results for their organizations.

Now 85 Years Old Jerry has been through extreme amounts of personal health issues. Jerry had numerous Heart Attacks,Open Heart Surgery,battled Prostate Cancer, Pulmonary fibrosis, Viral Meningitis, Diabetes,injury that almost left him Paralyzed with daily pain that was so severe he had a medtronic device implanted in his back to reduce the pain by stimulation.

Jerry Lewis who has made a difference in helping people raising money for research,treatments,medicines,making their lives a little more functional with more joy. A perfect man, of course not. Jerry like everyone of us has his negatives with all the positives,good days,bad days and has said things that not everyone has agreed with. Without knowing him many people have said he is a perfectionist which is a trait shared by other legends like Chaplin,Lucille Ball and a huge list of entertainers. Generally that means they aren't always fun to work with and will create hard feelings although that is what makes them great. In Today's world of politically correct some words and phrases used in the 40's 50's and other decades are now outrageous and offensive to people, even if Frank Sinatra was here today saying dame and chicks would get an attack from groups today wanting an immediate apology and that wouldn't be good enough.

How many people individually have raised over 2 Billion dollars for a Charity, given their life since age 5 to make people smile,laugh and entertain all around the world as well as being a Film Director,ScreenWriter,Film Producer,Actor,Comedian,been on Broadway,radio,stage & screen,Film Inventor,Book Author,Humanitarian and even been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize? Only one I can think of JERRY LEWIS.

Now is the time to say Thank You Jerry. It would be nice to see Jerry receive a Presidential Medal of Freedom, a Kennedy Center honors and much more. The one question that should be asked is why haven't we embraced a Beloved National Treasure that has given so much to so many people for so many years.

Facts and only the Facts

There was a time when facts were important when reporting the news. Let's establish one thing, like everything else the news is about one thing today... MONEY. The television news functions on promoting confrontation, embarrassing people and whatever will bring the ratings rather than providing honest non opinionated information.

We don't care about your opinions or snide remarks. Someone needs to tell anchors that your job is to report the news, not your slant on the news or bring your politics to the table. Just the facts, only the facts. Arrogance and self-Importance does not mean you qualify to push the news to your point of view. Anchors for ratings also try to report the parts of the news that will inflame and gnaw at the viewer and create controversy rather than providing Honest, fact based and NON OPINIONATED news.

Let's completely rule out Fox news as any type of integrity, honesty or fact based organization. They twist the facts to fit their political agenda. They have used video clips to prove points that are stock videos and had nothing to do with their facts. They raise funds for their paid anchor/commentators to run for political office. They take polls that disprove their point of view then twist the words to make it seem like the polls are in your favor. It has been well documented and doesn't need to be rehashed here. We should question the people who watch this station. If facts are optional, history is re-writeable and propaganda is acceptable the question should be at what point will these viewers think for themselves and research information on a respected forum that isn't biased to either the liberal or conservative side.

There was someone recently that comes to mind that embodied what defines quality journalism , The Late Tim Russert. What made Tim Russert so good? Let's look at his education. He received his B.A. in Political Science from John Carroll University and a Juris Doctor with honors,also held a degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.Tim did his research. Anything that he reported or discussed was backed up in FACTS. Tim called people on the carpet for trying to change the facts and showed video of people who were hypocritical or just plain lied.

CNN has for the most part has very young anchors. Sometimes you will see facts that changes from show to show. The anchors don't hold their guests to the truth, what ever they say seems to be acceptable with no challenge. Anderson Cooper will challenge people about facts at times but tends to allow some people to say their point of view void of facts.

MSNBC leans toward the middle class Americans but they report facts. Each anchor and contributor provides information that can be backed up by facts,video or the Truth.Some can be very weak on holding people to the facts and not their point of view.Chris Matthews should teach media classes on how to hold people accountable to the facts. He will not allow people to falsify history or facts. If you don't know your information and cannot back it up by facts, you will be called on the carpet.

Please report only the facts, keep your opinions to yourself and don't allow people to lie or change history.

The Puppet Masters and the Cowards

The Republican propaganda machine has become so overpowering that the majority of elected Democrats cower in fear. Democrats cave in to the organized Talk Radio, Fox news and elected Republican talking points of their twisted logic and clever and simple word play phrases to get the corporate agenda accomplished.

The Republicans are always scheming,plotting and manipulating every aspect and every level of elected office.For decades Republicans have plotted and acheived media domination.They have worked hard to get control of every level of the justice system. When Republicans get into office the Democrats always act the same. Let's give them a chance, we should be fair and allow them to get their agenda done because schucks the American people elected them. The Cowards.... oops I mean the Democrats sit on their hands and wait for the Republicans to screw up and go to far which they generally do everytime in charge.The Democrats are grateful when they are elected again but then revert to their timid and tepid leadership.

The Republicans on the other hand plot to get their people in every level of government. No position is too low because they will be needed some day to control decisions and accomplish agenda's.
The Republicans stacked the judicial system on the local level and the Supreme Court. When the Republicans can't win their position ,they get officials in local positions to intimidate find obscure laws and rules to change, bend or eliminate laws they don't accept. The Republican judges no longer respect the law, they will use their power to enforce wall street and coroprate will open the land and use their point of view to overpower the will of the people.
The other process that the Republicans use ,when they are in power either the local or national level, they choose to not prosecute the laws they don't believe in. They tell the corporations do what you want, we are in charge and we will not enforce any laws on the books you aren't happy with. You don't want to pay taxes or violate safety, enviromental or corporate law it's ok with us.

The Republicans have now decided if Democrats pass anything they don't like they will try to use the paid off republican judges that also work for Big Oil and all corporations to overturn legislation.
The Democrats have sat on the side have no organized media plan, no one is on the same page but will gently rail against the attacks on what they once stood for After they try to appease people by saying gee, gosh we don't like that will turn around cave-in and look like the fools they are.

The Biggest Loser in recent Democrat DNC Chairmanship Tim Kaine wants to stay and proudly lose more seats and like the groundhog only comes out so rarely ... but if he see's his shadow he goes screaming in fear back into his DNC cave.
We know that Republicans are 100% bought and paid for by the uber rich, or as George W Bush said the Have's and the Have more's. Democrats in D.C. at the House and Senate level have become coporate and lost their way not fighting for the middle class which is the core of the Democratic party. If they aren't afraid of the Lobbiests by the big bad corporations the fear that fox news will attack them is more than they can handle.
Any legislation passed by this corporate Democrat President is mostly gutted with so many back door provisions that it is so weak in the end.
Until the Democrats learn to plot, scheme, organize and fight everyday like the Republicans we loose more middle class, more of the working class. What is more sad the people with the least will continue to defend the very people that are stealing their money, jobs, benefits and their VERY LIFE. Why because they don't pay attention, don't care about politics or are bamboozled by the well organized professional republican proganda. The simple words and phrases that Republicans excel at wins the day. The Democrats who have not figured out how to use simple words and phrases because for the most part most Americans don't pay attention to politics and can only grasp the easy repeatable phrases.If the Democrats can't counter the Republicans in any way they will allow the Middle class to disappear and ignorance and greed to prevail.

They Lie to our face on campaign trail,change positions due to special interests-we re-elect them
They give themselves best health care,pay,pay raises,perks,retirement -we do nothing.
They convince the rest of us health care,min.wage,safety,clean water is bad for you -we do nothing
They reduce the workforce, force you to produce more for higher profits - we do nothing
h1b-visa's American technical jobs go to people from India/China at cheaper wages we do nothing
They will allow you to go bankrupt, jobless and homeless for their greed -we do nothing
They take our money for their mistakes then thumb their noses at us - we do nothing
They no longer even hide their greed,they strut like a peacock,knowing - we will do nothing

We have the Numbers, We have the power
but we allow the greedy few to take our jobs, our money, our houses and our Lives.

We don't protest,
We vote in very low numbers
We don't pay attention to what they are doing
We just shake our heads and say "that's just the way it is now"

The Middle-Class of America are on the endangered species list.

We can't muster up a walk out on business's that layoff people for profits.

We don't take all our money out of Huge corporate Banks and put our money in neighborhood Banks

We sit in our comfortable recliners, shrug our shoulders, we complain, shake our heads in disgust but

Well, sit back in your recliner, shake you head in disgust when you hear a friend has been laid off so a company can make more profit.
Tell yourself it's a shame because of a greedy bank a friends house has been foreclosed on.
It's unfortunate when your relative was diagnosed with Cancer and the health Insurance dropped them because they don't want to pay out.

How do people allow them to get away with this

1.) We are against Health Care,social security,
Unions,medicare,medicaid,welfare,middle class,veteran benefits,Seniors,disabled,equal rights,civil rights,
equal employment,work place safety,clean water,
clean air,environment,animals,homeless,minimum wage.

2.) If it is good for all Americans we are against it.

3.) We are for corporations,rich people,wall street,discrimination,oil companies,whatever hurts the middle class ,poor and seniors.

4.) Being in Power trumps everything. It trumps what is best for America and Americans, it trumps honesty,decency and basic level humanity.

Elected Republicans have shown over and over for a century that they are extremely concerned about bringing new life into this world . Their motto should be

"After you are born, you are on your Own-we no longer care about you"

The only reason why the Republican party exists today is because of their propaganda machine.

Lets give credit where credit is due. The Republican propaganda is nothing less than brilliant at times and successful. Any group that gets people to fight against their best interests and needs are very talented.
The GOP goes after the uneducated. This is not just the people who haven't finished school but the politically illiterate,anti-government people,religious radicals,rural and reclusive/isolationists.They play on the fears of the poor,middle class and rich. Whatever is the weakness of a person or a group the GOP uses that and targets people to get them on their side even if they need to lie to accomplish it which is the majority of the time.
The Republican propaganda machine was highly successful prior to fox news but Fox news magnifies the propaganda by a hundred times. People will only get their news from Fox news get feed lie after lie which have been proven to be false over and over but they continue and people still eat it up.

The current Republican attacks has been nothing less than staggering and unthinkable. As Spector said before the ink dried on the inauguration the GOP has been plotting against Barrack Obama. They are afraid that he could control politics for decades and there are the people who are racists that disguise their hatred in the birther movement and the people that use terms like communist,marxist,furor,hitler,nazi and worse.

Don't get me wrong you know as well as I that whether Hillary Clinton became President or any other Democrat the Republicans would have been as toxic and unrelenting as they currently are. There is just the added anger from the right side that a african american is President.
If you think about it the attacks are on a 3rd grade level. They make things up, create delusional arguments,play on people's fears and call names like their in a sandbox. I will have separate blogs on Cheney,hypocrisy and others that are beyond the pail of human decency.

For now we have seen that no matter what Obama and the democrats purpose the Republicans are against it. The Democrats could purpose a bill to praise firefighters and the Republicans would vote against it. The Republicans have no ideas to any current problems, they ruined the economy like Hoover and almost putting us in a great depression. The only thing they care for is giving all the money and tax breaks to the rich and everyone else can defend for themselves. The Republicans are willing to sacrifice human life for their greed and power. Here is the waiting room for the special people who have put their greed,their party over the American people. I would call them UNAmerican.

Let me qualify myself before my comments. I donated twice to the Obama campaign and voted for him in both the primaries and general election.

Like most Democrats out there, we are stunned by Obama going AWOL. This is not the leader we voted for, this is not the change we voted for. Whether President Obama got hijacked by the wall street insiders that he appointed or advisors that he has in the White House, he has symbolically slapped the face of every person who voted for him.
When you have Chris Matthews,Ed Shultz and Keith Olbermann all allies of the President on air disparage his lack of leadership and poor communication you realize Obama may do more to hurt the Democratic party than the crazed and psychotic words from the radical right and right wing talk host shows.
President Obama seems either to be in a bubble that doesn't allow in the voices of the voters and supporters or his arrogance has blinded him to the reality of our extreme disappointment and disgust with how he has gone back on his words so many times we lost count. Even Nancy Pelosi had a zinger about President Obama promising a lot of things and hasn't been true to his word.
President Obama has deferred most decisions to the congress, he has lead with an attitude of Indifference. The President seems more concerned with the illusion of successful legislation rather than the importance of what is in the legislation. President Obama is unable or not willing to get into the trenches and use his influence and items at a President's disposal to even persuade people in his own party to follow him.
We have never seen a worse communication team assembled at the White House and with the missing Tim Kaine ( part-time DNC Chairman ) death panels,pulling plug on grandma and other crazy messages are winning the day.
If President Obama was running a train instead of being the train conductor choosing what track to go on and having the rest of the cars following him, he is sitting in the caboose and allowing the train to go wherever others choose it to go.
Obama's ego is on the level of George W. Bush, he doesn't see anything wrong with anything he has done ( or not done ) he communicated that he has followed through with his campaign promises.Maybe he is looking through rose colored glasses but I would say the Unions wouldn't say he followed through with his promises,people praying for REAL health care reform wouldn't say he followed through with his promises, people who want jobs wouldn't say he followed through with his promises. The only people happy with Obama is Wall Street,Big corporate Banks and the heath care Industry.
President Obama has made a significant statement with his leadership style I'm willing to sell you out and I have no real convictions.
If Obama thinks it is hard to govern with 60 Senators and big majority in the house after the 2010 elections he will face a government that comes to a halt due to his inept ability to see the seriousness of his leadership problems.
Get rid of Rahm Emanuel,David Axelrod and everyone in the communication team that was in the campaign.Ask Tim Kain to step down. Put Bill Press in charge of the DNC. Make Robert Reich your most important economy advisor ( he helped create 22 million jobs under Bill Clinton ) and hire a ad agency that does nothing other than promote your accomplishments and your Presidency.
Not only is your slow decision process and slow response to everything hurting you but some of the people you appointed have hurt your Presidency.
If you can't Lead and just want to do the speeches and the fanfare, GET OUT OF THE WAY and let Joe Biden run the presidency.Biden has a backbone morales and solid convictions of his goals.
Stop hurting the Democratic Party. Change has NOT come to America.
Start Leading or get out of the way Mr. President. We all want you to
succeed but we are on our last straw, you have let us down too many times.

UNITY or Democratic Decimation

All Democrats are frustrated with the inept and lack of uniformity in our responses to the continual obnoxious and detestable attacks. Although the attacks of President Obama have reached a new level of unrelenting intensity,the game plan of the republicans has been the same for decades after decades.
The Democratic party seems to have a learning disability.There have been a couple shinning lights in our party that have given us a glimmer of hope. Anthony Weiner and Alan Grayson are the next generation of Democrats. They have not put up with the attacks on our party and President, they have even ( should I say it ) been on the offensive. The Democratic party seems to feel that it is classier to allow the day after day verbal abuse and somehow not responding to lies,name calling and the GOP continual distorting of their own record will somehow be ignored by the American people. The Democratic polling has gone down and President Obama's numbers have been on a steady decline. The DNC is NOWHERE to be found.There is no game plan from a part time DNC Chairman and NO organized response from elected Democrats other than a few brave souls to go on a few friendly political shows.

The Republican game plan is to send armies of elected and political republicans to every tv show and every radio show with the same talking points. They say the same lines over/over/over/over and over until people start repeating the lies plus the mainstream media starts using the verbiage as a matter of fact. Where were the Democrats when the Republicans were spitting out the disgusting lie that FDR was responsible for the great depression. As far as I'm concerned FDR was our greatest President. Any person that is able to read can research history and know the Wall Street Crash of 1929 was at the start of republican Herbert Hoover, the Great Depression was in full swing before FDR was elected in 1932 who not only got us out of the depression but won a world war and created the middle class that made America strong, proud and the greatest country on Earth. Meanwhile, the Democrats never said a word defending Franklin D. Roosevelt, just allowing the gop to spread their lies and trying to re-write history. I even will hear a elected republican on a talk show saying, we all know now that FDR caused the great depression. What is just as infuriating is not only the Democrats not aggressively attacking the lie but the media sits on their hands when the lies are said and not lifting a finger to show the facts or reveal that you can't re-write history or make up stuff. What happened to media ethics and research... but I digress.
If Democratic leaders watched Ed Shultz they would have a clear understanding of the Democratic base and why we voted for "Change"
The response from the White House and President Obama has been anemic and feeble against some of the worst attacks seen on him and the Democratic party. The Obama administration has shown they have one of the worst communication teams ever assembled. The Obama administration has not been able to define,initiate or control any message.They are always on the defensive,they can't even get their administration on the same page when they go on talk shows.It is like the GOP is sending their elite college debate team and the Obama administration is using their kindergarten school debate team.
If the Democrats want to stay in power they need to do the following.

1.)Have a organized, aggressive and immediate response to GOP Attacks

2.)Use every form of media to get out your message,everyone on same talking points and communicate message over/over/over/over/over/over and over again.

3.)Have a meeting with the House/Senate & past elected Democrats to COMMIT to party UNITY.Defend each other & the President

4.)Mr. President get a backbone. Stop trying to be Mr. Nice Guy, Mr.acquiesce in chief or I hope they really like me. Stick to your promises and principles.
