I'm not sure if it was me, or if there was a problem the day I tried. I got frustrated and I thought this isn't enjoyable.

I read a lot of blogs and have been surprised by some of the things I have read in the last few months, so I thought I would tell you what kind of person I am not. Ready? This could possibly upset some people but, I just have to say these things.

I'm not someone who spends $60.00 a week on groceries and then buys a $1,200.00 front loading washing machine and dryer.

I'm not someone who adopts two brothers form another country and then gives one of the brothers away.

I'm not someone who gets take out for me and my husband but, feeds the kids leftovers.

There is probably more. That's all I can think of now.
Let me tell you who I am.

I am someone who loves to cook and I probably spend to much money on groceries but, we eat good homemade food.

I am someone who loves my kids and would never give them away.

I do usually eat out on Friday nights with my kids.

I'm a whole lot more than that but, that's a good start.

My husband was out of work which was bad but, we were able to do somethings
I have also been doing some sewing. This week I've made three shirts. Not an easy feet for
I didn't post the recipes because it was just something I made on the fly because I had all that dough. Anyway so here is what I did.

Cream cheese danish
Filling:

1/2 of an eight oz package of cream cheese
1/4 cup of sugar
1 egg (I had a very small banny egg. I would not use all of a large egg)
1/2 tsp vanilla flavoring

In a bowl add softened cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla stir to combine.
Roll dough into rectangle. Spread with cream cheese filling.Roll up and slice.
Place in a greased baking dish (they should be touching) bake at 350 about 20 minutes
or until brown and done.

Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbls milk
1/2 tsp vanilla

In a small bowl combine powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Stir adding more or less milk to get a glaze consistency. Spread on rolls once they have cooled slightly.

Garlic Ham and Cheese Rolls

Roll dough into a circle brush with melted butter with chopped garlic in it. Cut dough into wedges like cresent rolls layer with a piece of ( I used sandwhich ham) sprinkle with cheese. Roll up each wedge place on greased pizza pan brush with more garlic butter and sprinkle with more cheese.
Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown.

Everyone made their own pizza. The pizza crust recipe makes three very large pizza's, so we made cream cheese danish and garlic ham and cheese rolls. We also went fishing which was fun even though we didn't catch anything and it was 1,000 degrees. So here is the recipe.

Pizza Crust For 3 Very Large Pizzas

3 cups warm water

2 Tbls yeast

1/4 cup of sugar

1/3 cup of oil

1/2 tsp salt

8 cups of flour (Mix in whole wheat if you like)

Pizza sauce

Mozzarella cheese

parmesan cheese

Your favorite toppings

Dissolve yeast in water and add oil sugar and salt. After yeast is bubbly, add flour. No need to knead or let rise.

Divide dough into 3 portions or into smaller golf ball sized pieces and make your own individual pizzas. Top with sauce mozzarella cheese, your favorite toppings and parmesan cheese. Bake at 450 degrees 10-12 minutes.

Check out Tasty Tuesday for more great recipes.

We decided to withdraw our son from public high school in April. I don't really want to get into the reason except to say I should have done it a long time ago. I've read a lot of blogs by moms who home school, but I didn't think it was something I could do. I also didn't think he would like it because he is a very social child. I have to say he has been very good about the whole thing and has tried very hard. This whole thing is new to us, but we seem to be getting in a good routine. I have been trying to find a good schedule for us and right now we do school Monday through Thursday. So far this seems to be working very well. If we have appointments we just work around them and either do school before or after. We have been schooling since April without a break. I'm trying to decide how to do this break thing, there never seems to be a good place to stop. I would like to do six weeks of school with a two week break. I will have to see how this works out with the holidays that will be coming up, also maybe next year we won't do it in the summer because of all the canning and gardening that I have to do. I still have a lot to figure out but so far so good.

I never buy new furniture. One reason is because most furniture is so poorly made it doesn't last or it goes out of style. The last time I bought new furniture was when the kids were small and I swore I wouldn't do it again. I found this couch at the habitat restore for an unbelievable $20.00 dollars. Even though it doesn't match my other couch it exactly it blends with all the other things in the room. Next time you need new furniture or most anything else try to buy used first.

This crazy chicken has been sitting on the nest about two weeks. At first we didn't know how many eggs she had under her, so we put two eggs in the nest and she put those under her. She sat for about a week then she moved to a different nest and only one egg was in the left in the nest. Yesterday she moved again and the only thing in that nest was one broken egg. Now she is not sitting on anything. I suppose she will sit her time then get up with know baby chickens. This chicken and a little banny hen are the only chickens who sit. Most of the time we have to put the other chicken eggs in the nest with the banny so she will have some babies. It's so funny she has very big babies. Just thought I would share a little about the crazy chicken. Pay no attention to the date on the picture I have to fix my camera.

I canned 100 or more quarts and pints of tomatoes in the month of June, unfortunately our tomato plants have died. I'm pretty sure it's blight. I don't really know why or what to do but I think it's to late. I also canned many quarts and pints of green beans, also I froze about 20 or more quarts of butternut squash. We planted a row of black eyed peas, a row of lima beans, and a row of okra so I put I don't know how many quarts and gallons of peas, okra, and limas up. Our corn didn't do very well but we were able to put some in the freezer. We should have plenty to eat this winter.
