So many things I am inspired by at the moment it's hard to keep it all in a box and contained. Especially knowing that our trip to France is coming up it's hard to imagine what the Paris will look like. All I know is that visiting Europe for the first time has probably been one of my biggest dreams yet ! And knowing that we will be leaving on the 10th of July makes me sort of nervous not knowing what to expects and all.

I am also looking into finding out about Fashion Week in Paris and Milan and finding dates for it. Does anybody have any information on it as I am a newbie at it? It really would be amazing to attend at least a show while we are backpacking through Europe.

Zara recently opened a new store in Landmark Mall here Qatar. It's stunning if you haven't checked it out yet. We now have two Zara stores in Qatar.

I also wanted to share some favorite pieces from my wardrobe from Zara which includes a Peter Pan Collared blouse and a long peach skirt which is my absolute favorite!

By recent discovery some gorgeous photos of Michelle Williams getting cute for
Band of Outsiders. Could they have picked a better celebrity? She is one of my inspirations for cutting my hair into a pixie I have to admit.

These cute instax/polaroid pictures just reminds me of my recent trip to Greece, which reminds me that I am still yet to share those with you! Next up we me and my hubby and my sister-in-law are planning our next trip to France, Italy & Spain. So if your around the area give me a shout out, I love meeting other bloggers around the world.

A blurry haze

It's production week and I am designing my little fingers of around this time every month. However I had some fun events and meetings to attend.

We had my husband's Birthday Celebration which was great, he turned 32 this year and it was rather weird celebrating it in a foreign country, I had to admit it was a bit of a sad Birthday. Atleast he got his favorite cake for his Birthday which is carrot cake!

We also head out to the beach last weekend, I took some photo's, got very sunburned and enjoyed the Doha heat! Because baby you got to make the most while you are in 45 degree heat!

We got to book our tickets to Europe which is huge! We are planning on visiting Italy, France & Spain in a month. We will be leaving in July up until early August. We are head hunting backpacks and saving pennies. It's going to be a fun adventure which I can't wait for.

Now for a bit of fun I found a shop called All Knitwear. This collection encourages mixing and matching,from cactus to confetti. Made from ringspun cotton on a Brother Electroknit 965i knitting machine. When I see this collection I see FUN! I loved scrolling through the different styles and the blog of course.

Visiting Athens was my highlight of the year, seeing the Acropolis and all the ancient Greek ruined blew my mind. This part of our trip was taken in Athens, Monastariki.

We strolled through the poppy fields, ate delicious food and drank ridiculously good wine. It was tourist central and the locals where so lovely and helpful. It's a city of culture and history filled with cute bakeries, shops, fresh fruit markets & breathtaking landscapes.

Minted Rose Water

Sunday Suppers made my day! I am frying up like a piece of shrimp in this heat. It's been 40 degrees here in Qatar, Doha and the only saving grace we have for it is living in air conditioned buildings and drinking lots of fluids. So to keep things fun, I wanted to share this minted rose water recipe with you all, since it's healthy, fresh and oh so cool!

Ingredients:

Rose Water + Mint

2 Cups Sparkling Water

1/4 tsp Rosewater

2 Sprigs Mint

A few Rose Petals for garnish

Method:

Mix all ingredients together. Serve over crushed ice. Garnish your drink with rose petals.

As I scrolled through my pictures from South Africa I stumbled upon a little photoshoot me and my Mum had when we visited our family in December/January. We had a lovely afternoon tea with traditional koeksisters. It was delightful. My grandmother & some family came over to join us.

The old tea set was my mothers and it got passed onto the another family member in South Africa.

It's such a beautiful tea set, I remember it from when I was a little girl. It was nice reminiscing

'the olden days' with my mum from when I was a little girl.

While visiting Greece we had a few stops at the shops and I was lucky enough to have bought a couple new outfits that I have been waiting to share with you. I have been indulging in minty green blouses and peach dresses.

This photoshoot was taken in Santorini. A place I would love to have house one day. I can't stress enough how much I loved Greece. It was really stepping into a far away world.

This weekend me and my work colleague will be enjoying dinner at the Shark Village in Doha to celebrate this months magazine which is finished. As the graphic designer of the magazine I am really proud of this months issue, and we definitely need to celebrate!

Mint!

This seasons mint picks are from Ruche. I bought 2 collared tops from Zara in Greece and adore it. I can't wait to share them with you. I also ended up buying a soft peachy skirt which is great to wear in this crazy Qatar weather..honestly it feels like I'm already constantly in an oven.

I also promise to be sharing more of my trip to Greece. It was amazing! I don't even know where to start picking to pretty ones as there are 600 pictures to choose from. Once our production week at the Magazine is done I promise to post it up asap!

Travelling to Greece

I just wanted to share a couple of updates of our trip in Greece.It's been mind blowing how lovely the people and the Greek culture is. Me and Mike flew to Greece in 4 hours time from Doha and stayed in Athens for 3 nights and Santorini for 5 nights.

We stayed at:
* (Athens) Athens Center Square Hotel
* (Santorini)Stelios Place in Perissa

They are very well setup for tourist and always give you a freebie or something on the house whenever you eat out or even visit a local bakery. They lack public toilets so when you do go out for breakfast/lunch or dinner make sure you do go lol !

Places you must visit in Athens:
*The Acropolis
*The Acropolis Museum
*Plaka

Places you must visit in Santorini:
* The entire island (hire a scooter for the day and you will be able to zoom around the entire island
all in one day!

Food you must eat:
* Try the Tsasziki
* They have amazing seafood
* Ouzo (Strong alcoholic Greek drink)

Sugar and Spice Café

It was a pleasure visiting Sugar & Spice Café at Lagoona Mall in Qatar, Doha. It's by far my favorite Café in Doha. It had a french and vintage spin on it, and is definitely a first for Doha. I loved the French vibe it carried, and the music really gave an warm atmosphere. It felt like I was sitting in Paris.

The Red Velvet Cake was sold out by the time we got there, so I ended up ordering the Banoffee Pie instead, and boy was I happy I did. It possibly was the best piece of Banoffee Pie I have tasted! And not to mention the Chili Hot Chocolate...hmmmm super creamy with a hint of spice.

The Interior Decoration was fab, it had a vintage lamp in the corner with hand-stitched buttons on it and old pictures frames hanging from the wallpaper.

Thanks to Ashlee who recommended this little hot spot to me :)

Topshop Picks

The other day we passed through Topshop in Villagio in Qatar and as always I spend at least an hour in there. I am usually on their website checking out some of the latest trends, and I have been loving all the pretty dresses which been coming in.

The days that get me through are days when...

* I can have perfect strawberries on a bright and sunny day with friends
* Date days with my husband, caramel popcorn & watching 'The Hunger Games'
* I can put on fresh layers of pastel OPI nail polish
* My husband buy me new pretty floral shoes from Aldo in Villagio
* I can plan a trip to Greece and get great guides from Trip Advisor with my hubby
* I receive parcels from my mum with new baking equipment all the way shipped from New Zealand
* You can have a pretty macaron from Ladurée in Villagio Mall which I am still yet to go and try,
apparently it's situated in the VIP section in Villagio. I was lucky enough to find the pretty packaging
around the office lol !

When life get's tough have a macaron !

DIY: Spring Felt Flowers

Stoked to have found another awesome DIY project for you all to get your hands on :) I haven't had much time to get creative as life is just getting in the way of my creativity as you might have noticed. But it's always great finding new inspiring blogs to take note of.

I have worked with felt in the past and really enjoyed it, I made jewelry pieces out of it with lace. I think I will return to it when we head back home to New Zealand eventually. Living an expat life is really different to normal living I have to say.

I love fashion, traveling, exploring, going to events, learning new languages, and meeting new people! And on the 5th of April a big dream of mine will be coming true. Me & Mike recently booked our tickets to Athens, Greece and Santorini. I always dreamed of traveling there and it's coming true and the countdown is on.

I know this is a quick little post to keep you all updated on how my traveling are going. I have been working like mad putting together the magazine for the next month. But I haven't forgotten about all of you! So if you have any suggestions on things to do or places to see while we are in Athens & Santorini I would love to hear it!

Here is a few snaps of my recent Instagram updates. I have been indulging in rich yellow clothing & scarfs. I guess I am getting inspired by the huge Indian population here who always seem to wear bright & rich colours. My favourite food at the moment probably also has to be Indian & Thai food.

Next on my list would have to be to start learning a few words in Spanish & French. If there was only more time in a day.

Arminho on Etsy is a cute online store from Portugal.They love making paper goods and another crafts work. "They are a sweet couple who lives in a peaceful city near the atlantic ocean". Their blog is filled with handmade journals & cute mustache accessories for the house.

Perhaps in the near future I will attempt to make my own little pretty journal. I don't think you can ever hand too many journals (especially pretty ones), even if it's just to scribble in.

Wish me luck, I am flying to Dubai at 1am in the morning - eek! I will need to catch up on some needed sleep for sure!

I'm really enjoying this new lookbook by Visland. I really love the vintage clothing and the attachable collar on the bottom right hand side! It gives the top an entire new look! It's fab that the nerd look is going a long way this season I noticed

On another note, it's the weekend here and I am getting ready to sit back and relax especially after such a stressful month.

To de-stress :
- I might book 2x movie passes for me and my hubby
- Go for a walk on the beach
- Visit Souqe Waqif with some mates
- Go out for coffee
- Take a long bubble bath !
- Sleep in
