Mr.Daniel & Ms.Sophia from KL  joined the  turtle tour on 10.May, they also found the nesting turtle.

This is a green turtle and laid 113 eggs !  Daniel & Sophia with a group observed this nesting and everybody was excited as they saw the nesting first time in their life. Daniel and Sophia named this turtle nest as a ” Ninja Turtle “.

After our investigation, we found from the tag number that this turtle is  ”NOOODLE ” which is adopted by Ms.Gail & Mr.Paul from UK in April !  It is said that turtle lay eggs 4~5times during the season… This is an interesting data, let’s see when NOODLE will back in the next !

クアラルンプールからのゲスト、ダニエルさんとソフィアさんも5/10のタートルツアー中に産卵中の海亀を発見。この海亀はアオウミガメで113個もの卵を産んだのよ。ツアーに参加したみんな初めて見る海亀の産卵に感動！ダニエルさんとソフィアさんはこの海亀の巣に”忍者タートル”と名づけたのよ。その後、私たちの調査によりこの海亀にタグ付けされた番号から 先日4月に産卵にやってきた海亀でイギリスのゲイルさんとポールさんの”ヌードルちゃん”だったことが判明。海亀はシーズン中に4～5回産卵をするといわれているのよ。これは興味深いデータでしょ。次のヌードルちゃんの産卵がいつになるか楽しみだわね！

Rayner’s Diary

Baby turtle hatched on 10/5/2013 at 4pm and been release to the sea at 5pm during sunset time. All in house guest are happy to see this baby turtle.

61 baby green turtles were born and we still waiting 41 baby turtle inside the nest.

This nest is sponsored by our guest  who just stayed here in a few day ago, thank you Mr Zhu Yong Sheng, Ms Mou Xiao Fan and Ms Zhu Yini.

Hawksbill Turtle

“Turtle Patrol” is the one of popular activities in our resort. Currently it is a turtle nesting season at pom pom island, we often find the nesting turtles during the evening patrol tour.  On 7.May, we found a Hawksbill turtle during the tour.  This is the first hawksbill which we found in this year 2013 and she laid many eggs 122 pcs !  Mr.Lu Yang & Ms.Liu Wen Xue from China witnessed this amazing scene and offered us the nest sponsorship.

While we observe this hawksbill nesting, Mr.Ronald & Ms.Mariele found another turtle laying eggs just a short distance away from the hawksbill point.  This is a green turtle and it is amazing that we witness two different kinds of turtles laying eggs at the same timing! Mr.Ronald & Ms.Mariele also kindly sponsor to this green turtle nest which collected 118 eggs.

At the same day, a  Chinese family Zhu yong  sheng x 3 pax also impressed with the turtle nesting for this night, they also adopted  the one of the nest in our hatchery which we collected on 30.March.

Many staffs here not only island staffs also main land staffs remember this friendly group and glad their 3^rd time visit to Pom Pom Island.

In this time, they were lucky to witness a nesting turtle when they joined the turtle patrol tour. Ms.Gail & Mr.Paul kindly sponsored for the nest and the turtle.  The turtle is named   “ NOODLE “ ,  this name is taken from  their former dog which has lovely curly hairs.

Dive staffs with students

Discovery scuba diving is very popular among the resort guests !

Certifications were given to the 12 pax of students announced by Instructor Maison at the local dance show last night  , all of them are happy for their first diving experience here at Pom Pom Island!

昨晚由我们的深潜教练宣布，12 名的游客得到了体验试深潜的证书，所由游客都非常开心能在邦邦岛做他们人生中的第一次深潜！

体験ダイビングがリゾートゲストに大人気！昨晩のローカルダンスショーのあとはインストラクターのマイソン君のアナウンスにより修了書が授与されました。初めてのダイビングをポンポン島で体験した12名のゲスト、修了書を受け取りみんなうれしそう！

On 10.Apr, We (staff and guest) were going out to the beach at 9 PM for a daily turtle patrol. Guess what happened last night, we found 110 turtle eggs after a short time of five minutes walk… how lucky!

Guests were so excited about the turtle eggs and we quickly went back to the resort and the patrol staffs safely transferred the eggs to our turtle hatchery. Our warden, Rayner explained all the process and all guests were so happy about it. All process takes about 40 minutes, and most of the guest was tired and backed to the room. But some of the guests still want to continue the walk… then we continued the walk along the beach.. and then.. we found another turtle nest again!  This is considered miracle or luck!

Then we do the same thing transferred all the 105 eggs to the turtle hatchery. All guests were so happy and thankful so do us (staff). If you want to experience such a miracle and lucky things, visit Pom Pom Island to try your luck. Pom Pom Island is a paradise perfect.

The 4 nests have been protected in the hatchery now and waiting for baby turtles will be born…

Yoga

Morning Yoga at Spa is one of the popular activities among our guests.  You can learn the simple and basic Yoga postures from the friendly Spa Manager Ms.Agnes.  Our guest Mr.Pierluigi is a Yoga master and kindly offered us the Yoga session on 6.April.

Simple postures, but need to concentrate to keep the body balance…

After the Yoga session, everybody is happy to achieve the standard postures.

Agnes and spa staffs gave the certificate of appreciation to Mr.Pierluigi for sharing his knowledge of his Yoga with Yin & Yang Spa.

Baby turtles were born today and last night in two times from the first nest of 2013 which nested on 10.Feb.
41 of green turtles are also the first babies in this year, most of the house guest from China, Italy, Australia and UK witnessed baby turtles safely went back to the sea.  Turtle nesting season has started here at Pom Pom,  we will have the amazing scenes of nesting & hatching in this year,too. Let’s join us and share this beautiful nature together at Pom Pom Island.

2月10日に産卵のあった今年最初の巣から赤ちゃん海亀が昨晩と今日の2回にわたって誕生したのよ。　誕生した４１匹のアオウミガメも今年最初の赤ちゃんたち。。中国・イタリア・オーストラリア・イギリスのゲストに見守られながら安全に海へかえっていきました。海亀の産卵シーズンはスタートしたばかり。今年もたくさんの産卵・孵化のすばらしいシーンが見られます。皆さんもここポンポン島でこの美しい自然を私たちと一緒に体感しませんか！
