I do know that most of our visitors don't or should I say wont watch the same thing that I am into on TV. But this show has began to grow big here in the U.S. for those of you who know about it. Swamp People is not for the weak at heart but can be funny for the whole family. So if you don't like gator's do not enter pass this point.

Yes this show is not for the weak at heart and especially if you do not like alligators. In my terms I will make this as simple as possible for those of you who wish to learn about it. The show is great and for me being a type of person that does not watch to much of the History Channel I have brought myself to watch this one show. Air’s every Thursday with new episodes on the History Channel so feel free to check it out.

I know this article here should be put on my web site at Hello Hunting but I thought that I would also share it with you the pop cultural world. As for those of you who do know me you already know that I am the

” pop cultural redneck”

on here and the whole outdoor thing is my life. Yes I do enjoy the outdoors and will continue to enjoy them. As for the show swamp people all I can say is that it’s a bad ass show for everyone that wants to learn how to or even learn how bad ass a alligator can be.

With the group of people that are being filmed while chasing and hunting alligators just makes you want to join in on the action. I think this whole alligator hunting thing is an add on to my to do list in life before I die. I will say that it takes a whole lot of ( Southern Slang – Gonad’s ) to chase after or hunt for a 12 to 16 foot alligator. An animal that can chew off two arms and legs at the same time is not one to play pick-a-boo with unless you are the one that is going to hunt him.

Don’t be the other where you are the one that is the hunted. Being a true coon ass riding in a small boat like these guys in a Louisiana bayou is most likely not a place that most of us will see ourselves. Being that show is filmed in the middle of a swampy bayou it makes you wonder just how hard even the filming could be. Swamp people is now on their second season on the History Channel. I can’t wait to try and find the first season on DVD so I will be able to catch up on all the first season action. Let’s take a look at the Swamp People cinema spot. Hope you enjoy it and check the show out every Thursday night.

There is a lot said by a kid when it comes to Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) but the word is out and the Disney channels hit show Hannah Montana will come to an end. Miley Cyrus has played as Hannah Montana on the Disney channel show for four years and there has been good and bad said about the show but all shows must come to an end sometime.

It is true that Miley Cyrus has said that her Hannah Montana days are up and beginning to turn the pop superstar into something more. Yes I say these days for the Hannah era are done! Disney has had their hands around this young lady’s neck for some time now and it is about that time they will have to let her go. EW.com has some of the scoop on a new and improved Miley and they leave you with this.

EW.COM:

She’s done with Disney. She’s open to nude scenes (“If it’s something that’s classy”). And you know why? Because Miley Cyrus Cannot Be Tamed.
The millionaire Mouseketeer, soon to be free of her Hannah Montana chains, will release the video for new single “Can’t Be Tamed,” from the upcoming album of the same name, on Tuesday, May 4 via E!,

I think that when a star reaches a certain point in their life they become more aware of how they are or how they will be treated in life. How will this new single “Can’t Be Tamed” reflect on Miley? To me it is just another song for her to add to her collection of hits. I have said in the past that she would make it big and now is her time by leaving Disney and trying something different.

I have to say that I will miss seeing her show Hannah Montana but all good things alike has to fall and come to it’s end someday. I will leave you with this music of her new single “Can’t Be Tamed” from YouTube but the video is not up at this time. E! News will host the Premiere Video at 7pm on May 4, 2010. I have to say that just listening to the song has her saying that she can’t be tamed. Miley has come a long way.

Even though she has already had other great hits like “The Climb”, and “Party in the USA” this new song could be one that may help her climb get even higher. Listen to the song here and it makes you want to say “Hey we have another Lady Gaga tune without the Gaga going crazy. I wish Miley with great success in the world of TV or music.

Who is Charles you may ask? He's a character on a must-watch, old-school sitcom. Take a ride with us back to the '80s. Charles in Charge is funny and perfect for the whole family.

Over the last week I have been logging onto Hulu and watching one, two, and sometimes even three episodes each night of a old-school TV series called Charles in Charge. I actually like it and will continue watching until I’m through with every season.

I remember coming home after school while growing up and sitting in front of the TV to watch this show every evening before starting my homework. The show was a pick me up from a long day. Having a teenage, college kid to help with a family of four was great back then.

As we look back to our past and think about some of the shows that we used to watch we may think, “God I miss that show.” I often hear from others, “I use to watch that show when I was a kid or a teen.” Charles in Charge is one of those shows you may have watched as a little kid or even a teen and haven’t thought of in nearly 15 years.

It is the little shows that outshine even some of the best sitcoms today, and we don’t even think about it. You can find most of the Charles in Charge seasons on DVD now. If you don’t have the money, log onto Hulu and look under family shows for it. There are a lot of older TV shows that have been off the air for over 10 years that we may have forgotten about. These shows may bring back memories of when we use to come home from school and sit down to eat a snack in front of the TV and watch them.

To me this is really what TV is all about. A lot of shows today don’t even come close to the older family shows. I’m not admitting I’m old, but the younger generation would not even know what the old-school TV shows are really about and most likely wouldn’t consider sitting down for about 22 minutes to watch a decent show like Charles in Charge. Before you dismiss a classic like this, take some time to watch it. You may never know what you’ve missed.

What goes through a human mind when one is in a coma? Or, how Coma, Period. will have you yawning for real TV.

A coma is where you are in a deep sleep due to and injury of some type. There are so many people out there these days trying to put together a comedy show online or on TV. Most of them are not even halfway funny. Comedy should be a little funny.

We received an invitation to preview Coma, Period., and I’ve managed to watch a single episode. The video work was good, but the show itself will give you a coma if you watch it long enough.

Th star of Coma, Period., Dan Humphrey, had more than an accident to lead himself into a coma. Do we really dream when we are in this state of mind? I still dream good things when I sleep, but the only thing I could imagine dreaming if I were in a coma is whether I’ll make it out alive.

Think back when the TV show Scrubs came out with the episode “My Coma Patient.” JD had a patient in a coma and was making out with the patient’s wife. Then was dubbed the “Tasty Coma Wife,” which was perfect.

You may watch Coma, Period., but enter at your own risk. Please make sure you have 911 on speed dial or a paramedic by your side at all times while watching this show. You’ll likely find yourself in a coma after viewing.

Along with its solid offering of Supernatural, The CW is beefing up its Thursday nights with another supernaturally-charged series: The Vampire Diaries.

The Vampire Diaries cast

I am a sucker for all things supernatural. Even if I have a good feeling that the particular book, movie, or TV series will suck beyond belief. I’ll give it a chance.

Starting this Thursday, The CW will be opening its night of horrors. The series premiere of The Vampire Diaries airs at 8/7 central, followed by the the fifth season premier of Supernatural. Supernatural has certainly earned its stripes and is one of the better supernatural series airing right now. Whether The Vampire Diaries will deliver is still up in the air.

Bestselling author L.J. Smith’s The Vampire Diaries first hit the bookshelves in 1991. While her series of books never garnered the popularity of Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles, they have always had a solid following. This following will likely grow in the coming months as fans rush to catch up on the original stories so they can compare the books and the episodes.

Many ill-informed have been calling this series a copycat of Twilight, not realizing that Smith’s books were released nearly 15 years prior to Meyer’s offering to the genre. But, the revival of this series and its adaptation into a TV show owe some credit to the recent popularity of both Twilight and the HBO series True Blood.

People have a fascination with vampires, and this fascination has flared up again in the last couple of years.

Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec are the writers and executive producers of the show. Williamson, creator of Dawson’s Creek, is no stranger to love triangles. One can only hope that he can avoid the pitfalls of the later seasons of that show and keep up the halfway decent offerings of its earlier seasons.

Though I’ve never read The Vampire Diaries, I am a bit intrigued. I’ll give it a couple of episodes.

Really. I’m not going to lie. It’s about vampires — I’ll probably watch the entire season, no matter how bad it gets.

Here’s a trailer for you to decide if it’s worth spending an hour of your life on this Thursday:

Miley Cyrus will be continuing her role as Hannah Montana in her hit television series for a fourth season. The Disney Channel will get at least one more season out of the young star.

After Hannah Montana: The Movie (the movie based off the TV series) hit theaters, there were thoughts of canceling the show because of the movie’s plot, but it seems the show will continue. Season four’s episodes will be airing next season, and I’ll be watching.

Miley Cyrus plays as Hannah Montana with her father Billy Ray Cyrus on a Disney channel family sitcom of the same name. Season one of the show has already hit the shelves on DVD. After watching the first season of the show, I am ready to catch up on season two.

On Sunday, the young star earned the MTV Movie Award for best song with her tune The Climb. The song has reached #4 on the U.S. Top 100 list.

Who thought that Nashville’s little girl would become a household name? Look out Dolly Parton, Miley’s on your trail. In season one of Hannah Montana, Dolly plays Miley’s aunt for an episode. When putting the two of these ladies together, you definitely get your Tenessee pride and a “howdy” to go with it.

Miley was born on November 23, 1992, and is the daughter of singer/actor Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. She has five siblings, her favorite sport is cheerleading, and her favorite book is Don’t Die My Love. As of June 2007, Miley had never had formal singing lessons. (IMDB.com)

Being a singer is hard enough. I imagine it’d be even tougher adding an acting career to the list. Miley, or Hannah, really has the best of both worlds. When I first watched her show, I realized I had found something worth watching on Disney again.

This Tennessee girl knows what she wants in life and continuously puts on great performances. There are many kids that love the show, and we have Miley and Disney to thank for all the hard work they have done.

Spoiler Warning: reading this without seeing yesterday’s episode will completely spoil it for you.

Did anyone else find yesterday’s episode enormously underwhelming as far as mid-season cliff-hangers go? I would have liked to see a bit more action—this is still Terminator, after all—and I would have liked more resolution to the John/Riley/Cameron storyline. But, those are minor gripes, because what we got was still pretty okay, and I’m not sure I’m at the point where I’m ready to admit to the world I want to see John and Cameron ditch Riley and get together (let’s keep that between you and I, hm?)

First: Sarah and the UFOs. This was strange to me, but strange is okay because it means new ideas. And normally I love UFOs and anything to do with aliens, but, like I said—this is Terminator—and I’m not sure aliens have a place in the franchise. In fact, I know they don’t. (Hypnotism certainly doesn’t either, but I’ll let that slide just this once.) The minute aliens show up is the minute the show has lost all credibility. And the Sarah Connor Chronicles is the only show I’d say that about… I’d be thrilled if they turned up in Lost, Battlestar Galactica (though it would admittedly cheapen it a bit), or even House.

However, I have a lot of faith in the showrunners, so I’m sure what Sarah saw was not aliens. That being said, I’m sure she saw something. I don’t think when the show comes back in February that we’ll discover it was all “just a dream,” or some other hallucination. I think whatever it was hovering above her is a major turning point for the whole shebangabang.

Has anyone seen the photos of these UFOs before

I first saw these photos a few years ago, and they remain some of the best UFO photos I’ve seen. I ask if anyone has seen them because I’m pretty sure they were pinned up on Lady Abraham’s wall. Either way, the thing Sarah saw shares a similarity with these photos, which, since they’ve been on my mind for a few years, was immensely cool to say the least.

So what the flip is it? Since I’m ruling out aliens, my next choice is obviously some kind of reconnaissance drone from the future. The problem there, of course, is that if we abide by the time travel rules established by the franchise, you can’t take raw materials back with you, and a huge flying drone would fit that bill. Assuming there is a pilot in there somewhere, he or she’s naked figure would be the only thing left if they tried to move it through time.

So, no aliens, and no Skynet either, at least not as we know it. Perhaps the design is from the future, and Skynet (or even the resistance) sent some people back to build it. If so, the past (and future) will never be the same.

Second: John and Riley. It would have been a better mid-season ender had the big reveal of Riley’s true history been saved until now. But since we found out she was from the future a few episodes back, witnessing how it happened just felt like filler. However, it did have its moments—seeing her react to flowers and soft linens for the first time was kind of moving.

It does add depth to the Riley character, though. When she was added simply as John’s love interest she was cliché and stale, but now she actually has a purpose: keep John away from Cameron.

But away, how? Just physically? Is Cameron a danger to John? (She’s still having to override that Terminate John Connor directive, right?) Or is Riley supposed to completely turn him away from Cameron… emotionally, too? I can’t help but think that, his mother aside, the best relationship he’s had in his developmental years was with a machine (Terminator 2). I think that John has a soft spot for them in some way, and while he may recognize the danger, accepts them more readily than most. Add to this Cameron’s declaration of love, and there’s a real possibility John may want to start something up with Cameron.

They’ve hinted around that they are very close in the future. Maybe something goes wrong, and Jesse came back to sour machines for John. Maybe he needs to learn machines are tools, not people.

Either way, I’m more eager to see this plot thread develop than Sarah’s UFO, to be honest.

I’m certainly looking forward to February, when new episodes start again. According to Josh Friedman (the producer), the last half of the season will wrap up most of what’s been established in the first half. Since moving the show to Fridays seems like a cancellation notice, especially since it’s FOX, that bit of news is bittersweet to me: I’m looking forward to answers, but don’t want it to end.

NO FATE.

My favorite Christmas episode to ever air was episode 10 of the second season of Roswell. What's yours?

As we start settling into the month of sleigh bells, reindeer, and eggnog, many of our favorite television series are gearing up for the holidays as well.

We enjoy watching these holiday episodes simply because we’re in a holiday mood. Half of them are too cheesy to be considered good television. The rest are much too over-dramatic.

On occasion, there’s an episode that really stands out.

A Roswell Christmas Carol

Episode 10 of the second season of Roswell was one of those episodes that stood out for me. Some of it was probably too over-dramatic, but I don’t know if another Christmas episode will ever top this one for me.

For those of you unfamiliar with Roswell, I’ll give you the quick version.

Max, Michael, and Isabel are aliens that crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico. They’re always at risk of exposure and running from one secret government unit or another. One of Max’s powers is the ability to heal.

In this episode, Max watches as a man pushes his daughter away from a moving vehicle, saving his daughter but losing his life. Max can’t heal him because he’d risk exposing himself. Throughout the show, he is haunted by this man. To make up for not saving the man, he decides to cure a young girl with cancer (a daughter of another character in the show).

When Max reaches the hospital, the girl is in a room with several other children with cancer. It would be wrong for him to save one and not the others, which leads us to this scene where he saves the children.

There were several other highlights in this episode. We learn that Isabel is the Christmas Nazi, and she wants everything to be perfect for Christmas. She, along with Michael and Maria’s relationship woes, served as the comic relief.

In the end, it was a classic Christmas episode where Max learns that Christmas is all about family.

Roswell may have had some major flaws with the series overall, but this is one episode they got right. Season 3′s Christmas episode was also scripted and acted well.

What’s your favorite?

There have been tons of Christmas episodes of our favorite TV programs, so I know you all must have a favorite or two.

Share with everyone. Feel free to post a link to a video as well.

This Monday night was a little boring. The Sarah Connor Chronicles failed to deliver. Heroes picked up the pace a little.

Cameron looking at books

Monday nights are usually a little more exciting for me, but I felt a bit bored with tonight’s offerings.

This had a lot to do with the lackluster episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The idea of a machine sent back to the wrong time seemed like a good idea when I first watched the preview (I’m sure the crew behind the show thought the same), but the episode just didn’t pan out.

There was a lot of buildup to a point where I thought this story might actually intertwine with the larger Terminator storyline, but I was sorely disappointed with the outcome.

Cool idea. Nothing moved the story along. This was mostly a filler episode.

The episode wasn’t necessarily bad. It was just a bit of a letdown compared to the past few. We did get to see John kick a little ass, so there was something worth watching for.

Heroes brightened the night just a little

I have a love/hate relationship with Heroes. Just as long as it stays interesting enough to watch and doesn’t turn into a soap opera, I’ll keep watching. I probably would’ve opted for One Tree Hill if there was a new episode airing.

This wasn’t the best episode to date nor was it the worst. The best thing about tonight’s show was that the story kept inching forward.

Sylar and Elle in Ecplipse: Part II

Now, if only Sylar could pick a side! To be perfectly honest, he’s gotta be a nut job if he can’t see how great a future with Kirsten Bell would be.

I’m excited about next week’s episode though.

How was your Monday night?

I hope you watched something worth watching this Monday. If so, please share.

Or, take the time to point out in the comments how off my Monday night review is.

24 is back in all of it’s ridiculous splendor, and I mean that in a good way. Jack Bauer (Keifer Sutherland) made his return to TV in last night’s 24: Redemption, a 2 hour prequel to the upcoming 7th season. A fitting title seeing that this show will need to find redemption for season 6′s lackluster finish, Keifer’s fourth DUI, the long hiatus between seasons, and of course Jack Bauer’s un-PC use of torture.

24: Redemption picks up some three or so years after season 6. Jack has been been traveling the world in order to duck a subpoena from the U.S. government to answer questions about his involvement in “illegal detention and torture.” We find him working and living at a school for boys in the fictitious nation of Sangala, Africa, loosely based on The Democratic Republic of Congo. And, just by chance of course, this happens to become the location for a crisis that gets the full attention of the White House. A vicious warlord is kidnapping Sangalese children and forcing them into his militia as “child soldiers” in a plan to overthrow the government using funds from the new official bad guy, Jonas Hodges. Who better to play Jonas than my favorite bad guy actor Jon Voight — I’m extremely stoked by this casting. Speaking of new cast members, 24 is getting a new President and it’s a woman, shocker. President-Elect Allison Taylor is being played by long time Broadway actress Cherry Jones (I wonder if she’ll take credit for the future election of a female U.S. President). The Sangala crisis becomes her first official business as she takes over the reigns from last season’s President Daniels (Powers Boothe).

Don’t worry all my fellow 24 fanatics, Redemption doesn’t disappoint. The action and excitement rivals that of classic pre-season-6 episodes, and Jack still retains his unbeatable superman status. He dodges punches, machetes, bullets, and even a rocket launcher as he almost single-handedly saves the school boys from the clutches of the Sangalese warlord. I admit that I laugh at its absurdity at times but I just consider this my own personal comic relief, which just adds to the enjoyment of the show. So, just how ridiculous does this show have to get before I stop watching it? I draw the line at the first sign of aliens… hmmm… actually, Jack Bauer kicking alien butt would rock, so bring on those little green men.

———

Quick Preview of Season Seven:
The new season will kick off on Sunday, January 11th with a 2 day 4 hour premiere. To make it short, Jack goes on trial, the government needs him again, C.T.U. is gone, the nation is under attack, Chloe is a “stay-at-home-mom,” and Tony Almeda makes a soap-opera-style return — this guy just won’t die, and wait… he’s the bad guy?

Note: For those of you who missed 24: Redemption the DVD will be released tomorrow.
