The five upbeat guys of SHINee landed in Taiwan recently to continue their series of SHINee World concerts!

The band delighted thousands of overseas fans with their numerous hit songs(since 2008), and their agency, SM Entertainment, shared an array of photos of them in action on and off the stage via social media.

So Long, Farewell … Kim Hee-chul

Kim Hee-chul is looking forward to his new career choice serving his beloved Korea. His military training will begin on September 1st at Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province for 4 weeks, and then serve as a public service worker. We wish him the best.

Also, so long and farewell to POPSEOULers. I have enjoyed working here, but I must move on. This is my final post.

Super Junior has a “simplistic” second win on M Countdown

By a show of ~~hands~~ comments, who predicted this week’s winner? Who can predict next week’s winner?
If you guessed Super Junior….both times, you must be the ~~rocket~~ K-pop scientist! It doesn’t take genius to guess that one of Asia’s top boy bands could sweep the music shows for weeks at a time. On the August 18th episode of Mnet M Countdown, Super Junior accepted the “Song Of The Week” prize for the second week in a row for “Mr. Simple”.

“Mr. Simple” is hot on Elfs’ radar…..I wonder if SNSD will have the same success this fall?

The newest girl band (besides all Korean girl group Blady) to hit the music scene is planning to shake audiences up with their racially intergrated group. They made their official debut on Mnet’s M Countdown on August 18th. America and so many other nations across the globe have struggled with getting use to a mixed flower pot. It is now Korea’s turn to embrace the rainbow!

“Top Girl” – Written by her former duet partner Wheesung ( Is G.NA starting to fancy Se7en and her mini duet partner?) and produced by Kim Do-hoon and Lee Sang-ho

“Banana” – G.NA co-wrote this single and rapper Swings is featured on the track.

“ICON” – A catchy tune that is still a mystery to fans.

According to her agency, Cube Entertainment, the singer’s new album will be filled with mature songs.

Ok….an iconic top girl who loves bananas and cannot be without you..that sounds mature to me. Placing the titles together really takes the maturity out of the project!

Super Junior wins the K-Chart!

Simplicity never looked so good! Super Junior took the easy road to number one!
“Mr. Simple” is now the number one song on weekly music programs. Following Suju’s “Song Of The Week” title on Mnet Thursday, the band swept the charts once again by winning the K-Chart a day later.

SISTAR does Music Bank the cool way

Are you a fan of SISTAR‘s new choreographed stage?
The tail dance is out, but the belt dresses or should I say mini dresses are still in. Is this the best censorship for minors?
SISTAR made their comeback on KBS Music Bank Yesterday with their singles “Girls Do It” and “So Cool”. The band was forced to change their choreography for “So Cool” following HyunA‘s “Bubble Pop” being banned by the Korea Broadcasting and Communications Review Committee for appearing sexually suggestive. However, what is the point of changing the dance, if your stage attire is barely there. Their dresses are STILL missing in action!

Nonetheless, the KCC approved the performances below:

“Mr. Simple” is now a bona-fide hit on Mnet!

M Countdown gave the new Smtown single the “Song Of The Week” crown on Yesterday’s episode. It was double duty for the ~~gang~~ band as they made their comeback and gracefully accepted their crystal award.

Honestly, who wouldn’t let Suju win? To the average person, their size is just ~~very~~ a little intimidating. Would you tell a group THAT BIG….. they lost?
