Marky-Mark will always have a special place in my heart & loins. I vividly remember my first Sex Dream at age 12, starring the Pants-dropping, gyrating Lyricist. We "ran around" a large mansion-type abode full of empty rooms and dim red lights...it was special, one part romantic, one part filth...Before this magical night, I had only experienced silly school girl crushes. Ever Since, MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) announced this exhibit held at their Geffen Contemporary (ironically, a former Police warehouse renovated by Frank O. Gehry), I was itching to get to L.A.

Unlike, a lot of Art, Street Art usually has a short life span, sometimes, lasting no longer than months, days, even hours. Historically, its' documentation has been minuscule & difficult. But in recently years, with the popularity of Banksy and Shepard Fairey's 'Hope' piece representing Obama's 2008 Campaign, the movement has surfaced itself from the depths & darkness of the cruel Streets, fascinating the Middle to Upper Class mainstream public.

I was pleased to finally witness several artists who's art, I've admired for years...Especially my favorites, Os Gemêos, whose work is prominently found in their native Brazil.

The exhibition features paintings, mixed media sculptures, and interactive installations by 50 artists. It mostly focuses on the cities of New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, London & San Paulo. Giving the audience an authentic taste of the local streets representing an aspect of each city's unique culture.

Traditionally, the vigilante style of Street Art has been too Grimey for Classic Art Circles, typically ignored by "Patrons Of the Arts." In Fact, some may even consider this time in our history, the Civil Rights era for the underground artists, giving them over due proper recognition for visually enhancing the dirty streets of their neighborhoods, across the world.

Not everyone is fortune enough to travel to the Lourve...These artists are just as important as the Monets, Picassos & Michangelos of the World...Setting a beautiful, colorful ever changing background to the hustle and bustle of daily life.

There seems to be two camps when it comes to Ms. Kreayshawn. Either you Love her or You Hate her. The more, I learn about her through the Bay Area channels, the more Respect I have for her. Apparently, shes been hustling Hella hard for her dream. She's only 21...And for lack of better description, you are a Hater, if you judge her. Isn't that the point, to Bleed, Sweat & Tear for Your Vision...and then get Paid...?

Maybe her lyrics aren't the deepest, maybe her approach is deemed trendy in some circles...but she's certainly the talk of the town (Internet). She's using a progressive beat.
