Now the "Swede" went crazy testing what could be done with a 45w system and a bunch of batteries but its worth a watch, if you dont want too watch his whole series on the test he got about 3 1/2 hours running 2600 watts, which you wouldnt even do in a emergency because there is no need.

When a disaster strikes whether it be natural or manmade we need to be prepared. Everything we do is based on having the availability of power. We need to be planning on the catastrophic failure of our power systems. Without power our society looses all key functions. We are so battery dependent and unprepared for an emergency it is said because some peoples candles are even battery powered!
