This man was sleeping in a tent at the Kumbh Mela festival in Allahabad, India. The group I was with had entered the tent to photograph another man, a sadhu that had not spoken a word in twenty years. Much of the attention was being paid to the silent baba when the man in the photograph woke up. He became very angry and demanded we all leave. We discovered he was the silent man’s teacher. He didn’t like his student receiving more attention than him so we quickly photographed him which calmed him down. Nonetheless, he still was angry from being woken up from his nap.

On my first day visiting Tibet I traveled to Jiuzhaigou Park in Sichaun province. The park is famous for its many waterfalls, lakes and rivers. It snowed in the upper elevations when I was there which added a nice feature to the landscape.
