This is an Epic Portland Party.

-DJ ICEY-
1st PDX ALL AGE SET IN ALMOST 10 YEARS!!!
DJ Icey is here to party in Portland!

Zone Records // FL
www.myspace.com/djicey,
www.pamdjs.com

Born and raised in Florida, DJ Icey has been mesmerized by electronic music ever since hearing the synthesizer breakdown on The Edgar Winter Groups "Frankenstein". "My mom had that album and I would play that middle part over and over wondering how they made that sound, Icey recounts. I was little and thought it was so cool". Rising to worldwide prominence out of the fertile Orlando FLorida electronic music scene which has spawned the likes of AK 1200,Kimball Collins, Jimmy Van M, Chris Fortier, and Baby Anne, Icey cut his teeth at the legendary EDGE nightclub in the mid-90s, and even persuaded The Chemical Brothers to play their first show Stateside there. When The Edge closed in 1996, DJ Icey hit the road and has stayed on it since.

Icey runs two Indie labels dedicated to the Breaks he loves, the Main imprint Zone Records released it's first 12 Inch single in 1994, Energy Tracks Volume 1 quickly followed by the hard to find Encyclopedia Funktanica both of these records gained a cult following worldwide as there was nothing quite like it at the time. Zone Records continues releasing more than a dozen records a year and his second label Tree Records follows very closely behind with slightly more eccentric productions.

Discovered for the punters by BBC Radio 1 DJ and longtime A&R kingpin Pete Tong , Icey became the first American producer to sign to his U.S. ffrr label in 1997 as an artist thanks to Pete and U.S. Honcho Neil Harris, He was the first American DJ to be selected to record a prestigious "Essential Mix" for U.S. Release. With over 200 12 singles under his production belt and 5 cd releases, Icey has SoundScanned over 300,000 CD units in North America alone. Playing 100+ gigs per year, Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesnt keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks for his Indie Labels Zone and Tree records, constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dancefloor.

Through the years Icey has impacted the breaks movement with his hard-hitting and popular mix CD's and with 2007 comes a fresh new mix on Moist Music NYC entitledÖ"Disco Rodeo". It features up-front music from Worldwide artists such as Rogue Element and Tom Real, General Midi, Hook N Sling & Kid Kenobi, Keith Mackenzie, Noisia and Entity, as well as collaborations with Krafty Kuts and Jen Lasher. Many of the tracks are specially re-edited, remixed and diced up to perfection by Icey, exclusive to this Mix. "Disco Rodeo" is sure to delight breaks lovers and Electronic Dance fans around the globe. DJ Icey "Disco Rodeo" drops March 6th, 2007
Paul Song was born and raised in Seoul Korea, and immigrated to the U.S. in 1993 at age of thirteen. As his family settled into their new home of Portland, Oregon; he set out to find his calling in the new and exciting city. And did he ever. Paul has since been responsible for a long list of accomplishments, but none as significant as the rise to his current status as Portlands premier breakbeat artist, Sidestep.========================================= ================================================== ===== Paul’s natural tendency towards music aided him as he worked on perfecting the skills necessary to become a talented DJ. Confident in himself and his craft, Sidestep soon began to gain recognition in the Northwest for his energy behind the decks and his unique blend of funky nu-skool breaks. More recently, he has really come into his own with performances alongside Krafty Kuts, Simply Jeff, Freestylers,The Crystal Method, DJ Icey, Deekline & Wizard, Freestylers, DJ Craze, Sharaz, DJ Baby Anne, DJ Fixx, Freq Nasty, Uberzone, Rennie Pilgrem, DJ Hyper, Reid Speed, Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty Vision, Donald Glaude, Dieselboy, Aphrodite, DJ Rap, and @ FUTURE SOUND OF BREAKS V.5.0 with many other top talents within the industry. ================================================== ============================================== As if all this wasnt enough, Paul is also responsible for the success of Red Cube Productions, Portlands most notorious electronic music event production crew. By consistently providing a superior level of talent at a very competitive price, Paul and his partner have earned the unwavering respect of DJs, booking agents, and patrons alike. For more info on the company, check out www.redcubepdx.com ================================================== ============================================== Paul has been very busy since his move to the states. His contributions, both musically and otherwise, have been noticed by the masses. Keep a close eye on Sidestep as he continues to push Portlands underground music scene to new heights and begins to add solid production to his very impressive resume. ================================================== ============================================== "Sidestep spins an eclectic blend of funky and nu school breaks every time I see him perform. His energy behind the decks translates into the exciting set he brings to the party! Keep rocking it like you do, yo!" - Simply Jeff ================================================== ==============================================
Founder of Droid Recordings and co-founder of Droid Behavior, Drumcell has been one of techno's greatest allies in Southern California in recent times.

A graduate of the Musician's Institute and a long-time performer at parties in Southern California, Drumcell has been influenced by music from his earliest years. After being exposed to raves in the early 90s, He grew addicted to the sounds of acid house, techno, in its many forms, and industrial.

It was not long before he was copping turntables to satisfy his vinyl fetish. By the early age of 14 he was playing in various local bands, and through out the rest of his teenage years, cut his teeth-producing hip hop records, dub and various forms of electronic music on Los Angeles based underground labels. By combining his Production, DJing and networking skills and focusing in on his more mature musical tastes he soon established himself as one of the major players in LA's growing techno scene.

Associating with the members of Acid Circus to form Droid Behavior as an event production group and record label was the next logical step to raise awareness for techno in the city and to help expose local Artists, established djs, and performers from around the country.

Drumcell has been known to keep on the edge of technology and continuously pushing the limits to what the future has to offer. He is always in the process of developing homebrew software as well as cutting edge hardware solution to bring a fresh innovative taste to his production and performances. When performing, Drumcell can be seen blurring the lines between a live and a DJ set by utilizing tools such as FX processors , samplers ,drum machines and other devices to weave a thick blend of acidic techno and aggressive but funky minimalist groove to ensure a frenzy amongst his listeners .

With the state of electronic music in North America leaning towards stripped down funk rather then progressive fluff these days, Droid has become the center for LA techno and Drumcell remains steadfast in his mission of putting this city on the global map.

A veteran of both the Los Angeles and San Francisco underground rave scenes, DJ Brad has been spinning techno since 1992. His interest in the environment, yoga, and his philosophical nature are conveyed in his musical choices. Over the years Brad has been an integral member of many innovative and successful groups including Moontribe, Tropical, and Mother Earth Sound System. "I have my most profound experiences playing and dancing in the Desert under a full moon." He can energize any crowd with his seamless mixing, whether in a warehouse, intimate club, or out in the open Desert.

DJ Brad defies classification by experimenting with a variety of musical genres. Often cutting between tech-house, electro, techno, and trance, Brad says, "Whatever I play usually has an organic, tribal, funky feel and is a big head trip." In his solo DJ mix CDs, Together, Integration and Ecstaticacti, he blends many intricate soundscapes to create the flow and funkiness that is essential DJ Brad.

This mixing master has held multiple West Coast residencies. DJ Brad describes the rotating outdoor event Moontribe as a "vibrant, magical community that struck a deep chord with me." Brad is featured on Moontribe's compilation Sound Without Walls, voted by Spin Magazine (June 2000) as one of the top eight trance compilations of all time. Brad also raised the temperature at Tropical, one of Los Angeles's premiere underground house or tek-house events during his residency from 1998-2002. DJ Brad can be found on the Tropical House mix tape series volumes two, three, and five with DJ's Jason Blakemore, Mr. Annand, and John Kelley respectively.

Born and raised in Long Beach, California, Brad's earliest musical influence was his father. "He was instrumental in developing my love [of music] through his constant exploration of new music [which] he enthusiastically shared with me." From the age of ten, Brad spent his allowance on records, devouring each new style and sound from rap to new wave, ska, reggae, and early 80's electro dance music. While studying English Literature at UCLA, he paid his college tuition by practicing his newfound scratching and beat matching skills as a mobile DJ. Brad's DJ talent was soon noticed in both Los Angeles and San Francisco where Brad explainsâ "a pivotal moment occurred at Come-Unity (SF) where I watched Jeno spin such a moving set that I was inspired to take my own Djing to a deeper more meaningful level." Along with communicating to people through music, Brad holds an M.A. in Environmental Public Policy and has worked in the environmental activist community for many years.

DJ Brad's eclectic mixes flow smoothly, taking the listener on a musical journey where time and space seem to disappear. Using the language of music to unite and celebrate the earth and humanity is Brad's goal. "I see people getting involved in this wonderful, beautiful, dynamic culture, they are coming away with an experience they never knew existed before. They discover that people dancing as one, a ritual old as society, is very liberating."
He started Djing on his own at 14 years old and then quick turned into producing his very own tracks. Testarossa’s interest for minimal techno music grew rapidly with the huge techno scene in the south of France. Living in the South of France gave Testarossa some amazing techno inspirations including Laurent Garnier, Julian Jeweil, Mexime Dangles (kompakt), Tom Pook, and many others. Thomas influences also derived from artists like Gui Borratto, Dubfire, Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Popof, Dave Clarke, and Stephan Bodzin. After leaving France Thomas spent one year in Sydney Australia to gain additional techno inspirations. Now he is gonna murder it.

Adlib(seattle)

MontsDe

January 9th, 2010
@ the Crown Room
205 NW 4th Ave
Portland, OR 97209
Cost $8
9:00pm-2:30am

Halloween Party- Event in Portland- TECHNO TIME

HOWL: 4th Annual City Repair Halloween Celebration
Saturnite, Oct. 28th 2006
320 SE 2nd, 9pm-6am
21+ w/ID
3 stages- indoor and outside
pre-sale tickets available Tues, Oct. 10th at:
Le Rouge (3418 SE Hawthorne),
Metro (128 NW 23rd & 3524 SE Hawthorne),
Frock (2940 NE Alberta)
Chance of Rain (1522 SE 32nd Av)
or online, Brown Paper Tickets
$12 Presale to 10/20
$15 Presale to 10/28
$18-$25 @ Door

Come join us in a cellebration of this wonderful holiday. Klute is from London, UK.
In 2001 his own Commercial Suicide imprint was borne out of a necessity on Klute’s part to control his own releases as well as provide a support network for the ever increasing new generation of like minded producers. So far the label has seen releases by Klute himself, Calibre, Total Science, Digital, Amit, Break and Silent Witness. Previous to this much lauded and rebellious electronic career, Klute fronted legendary Skate-Punk outfit ‘The Stupids’, an apt schooling for a producer with this unique level of eclecticism.
Klute has released three double-albums on Commercial Suicide so far (distributed by Breakbeat Science in North America). The first, “Lie, Cheat & Steal,” included a second album titled “You Should Be Ashamed,” which followed a techno blueprint with exceptional results. The second release, “No One’s Listening Anymore,” was more straight-ahead drum ‘n’ bass with several vocal experiments. 2007 saw the third double-album, “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” featuring some of his best work yet, including tracks like “The Struggle,” the beautiful “Never Never,” and the slow but brooding “174 BPM.”

RONIN

REALIEZ

SAUCY POSSUM

JOSH D.

Over the last 5 years Drumcell has rocked parties from big to small on a weekly basis in LA as well as gigs all over the U.S alongside such names as Kenny Larkin, john Tejada, Tim Xavier, Dan Bell, Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Speedy J, Ritchie Hawtin, Mathew Dear, etc. and has also released quite a few heavy trax on labels omniscient, remains, heavy Industries, and his own DROID recordings imprint.

With the state of electronic music in North America leaning towards stripped down funk rather then progressive fluff these days, Droid has become the center for LA techno and Drumcell remains steadfast in his mission of putting this city on the global map.

mixes
live @ avalon
live @ kpfk 2006
live @ kpfk 2005
drumcell studio mix

releases

droid01-genetix ep
droid02-cell system ep
droid03-childbreaker ep
droid04-system error ep
remains 20 - Oxide Pressure
omniscient 10 - DROID e.p.
droid neg-01 cd-v/a
Heavy Industries - Thermal Anomalies
Emayde 12 - waste lands 2012
Emayde 12 - the truth 2012

Drumcell's website

Myspace for Drumcell

Drumcell on Beatport

Pictures of the Tim Green Show In Portland, OR

All i have to say is Really Really Good. DIRTY BIRD

Check out Tim Green's new 2009 Promo Mix in this streaming flash player
Tim Green May 2009 Promo

BIO:
In 2008 few names have made the kind of impact on the worlds house and techno scenes as 24 year old Tim Green. Originally from Kent and now based in London Tim Green's production talents have seen him release music through some of the worlds most respected labels, and gaining major plaudits from the likes... of Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Pete Tong, Tiga, Josh Wink, Carl Cox, Locodice, Nic Fanciulli, Dubfire, Steve Lawler, Anja Schneider, Slam, Damian Lazarus, Tiefschwarz, Laurent Garnier, MANDY, Lee Burridge, Agoria to name a few. Add to that a string of high profile remixes and dj gigs across the globe and its not hard to see why so many people are talking about Tim as a future star.

Tim's rise to the spotlight started in 2006/7 when he released singles under the name TG for such renowned labels such as FourTwenty, Infant & Fling, and even getting remixed by the likes of Martin Buttrich, Jamie Jones & Konrad Black. Fast forward to the beginning of 2008 Tim took the decision to start recording under his own name, Tim Green as well as TG. The fruits of his production stints were some of the most interesting and forward thinking music on the planet. Interest has come from far and wide for this young prodigy. but Claude Von Stroke was first to capitalise by signing his dancefloor bomb 'Revox' to his highly acclaimed Dirtybird imprint. The track went onto become the one of the labels biggest releases of 2008. Next up German based Trapez records, easily one of the most respected techno labels on the planet, picked up Tim's dirty vocal anthem Mr. Dry which was released in August 08. Within the first week of its release, Mr Dry climbed to number one in the top 10 minimal charts on Mr. Dry went onto become one of the biggest techno anthems of 2008, being played from Fabric to Watergate, Space to Womb. If that wasn't enough legendary UK imprint Renaissance promptly signed Tim for a series of singles, the first of which was again released to acclaim in October 08, with the tracks 'Creature' & 'Give It A Go' again showcasing the versatility of his production.

Tim also embarked on a slew of high profile remixes during this time for the likes of Cr2 records, Southern Fried, Fling, Phoebic & Viva. As well as 2 huge remixes, firstly Steve Lawler's 21st Century Ketchup single on Dubfire's Sci-Tec as well as The Audio Bully's latest single 'Flickery Vision'. Again these mixes became a staple diet in many of the worlds top djs record boxes for most of the year.

The impact Tim has made hasn't gone un-noticed by the dance music press either, with Tim being names a 'Player Of The Year' In I-DJ magazines end of year summary into all things good in 2008, whilst DJ magazine nominated Tim for 'Best Breakthrough Producer' in their 'Best Of British' Awards.

So in just over 2 years, Tim has risen to working with the biggest djs and labels on the planet, and we haven't even mentioned his djing yet! Even though techno in Portland seems to be apparent very few really seems to be pushing the boundaries with their sounds. Too many dj's are playing simply beats and just mixing to be cool, instead of challenging them selves every single day to push the limits to entirely new levels each time they play. I want to gather people with like minds that want to work on music together to give Portland techno like it has never seen before. I want to network with musicians, techno heads, people that want to work together on awesome events for the people, artists, vj's, burners, people who want to see better and stronger techno in Portland. Please contact My Myspace page or my email at motnsde@hotmail.com so we can arrange a time to discuss music. I am currently using Ableton, and reason 4 to make Techno here in Portland, beat but am wiling to learn anything.

Techno in Portland, Deadmau5 in Portland, Oregon

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 218px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_2L5TC5saZec/Snou5NkGG6I/AAAAAAAAABQ/VXf4n31TQfw/s320/deadmau5.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366653466393844642" />
Deadmau% in portland Oregon

Deamau5 Website

MySpace For Deadmau5

Portland Techno and Electronic dance coonuity are getting the chance to view Deadmau5

Event
DEADMAU5 LIVE

Type
Portland DJ - Show

When
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
8:00 PM - 2:00 AM

Location
Roseland Theatre Portland OR , 8 NW 6th Ave, Portland (Downtown) OR

Price
Please go to Groove tickets Ticketwest

Min.
