&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This might be true, in some cases, such as in a small company or school, where opportunity is limited by management.&amp;nbsp; However, the world is a big place, and there are opportunities created from ideas that help people, and no one gets hurt in the process.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Below are two examples of success that have not taken anything away from anyone:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Danny Thomas: With his promise, prayers, and vision, for St. Jude’s Hospital, he received the help of friends in the Arab-American community to build a fantastic charity.&amp;nbsp; Some of us also believe he received divine help – I know, I do.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There is much more to this story, but what did this hospital or charity take away from anyone?&amp;nbsp; Aren’t the children who recover from cancer living proof that this idea, and prosperity, is for the pure benefit of mankind?&amp;nbsp; There is no one who is hurt by this, and Marlo Thomas has picked up where her father left off.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yoga teachers: Many unfulfilled members of the workforce have left their jobs to teach the benefits of Yoga to the masses.&amp;nbsp; They teach their students to enjoy life, deal with stress, breathe properly, improve their posture, become aware of their bodies, and many more benefits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Most Yoga teachers believe that all of the great Yoga jobs are in health clubs, ashrams, and Yoga studios.&amp;nbsp; Not so, in my book “How to Grow Your Own Successful Yoga Business,” I mention 16 ways to start up with little or no overhead.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Within the first chapter, there are Yoga teaching opportunities that currently exist with little, or no, competition.&amp;nbsp; Yoga teachers who have taken this advice have become successful and prosperous.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do these jobs take food away from anyone?&amp;nbsp; When someone starts a business, do they take food away from another competitor?&amp;nbsp; If you believe your competition is your problem, it will be.&amp;nbsp; This is limited thinking, and you have to learn to think “outside the box,” in order to be successful in life.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Don’t waste time on bad thoughts.&amp;nbsp; You can easily co-exist in harmony with them, become friends, and learn from them.&amp;nbsp; There is enough opportunity for everyone.&amp;nbsp; This should be your mantra: Observe your competition, learn from their mistakes, and when possible, copy their success.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is why you need to take a mandatory vacation and get fresh ideas.&amp;nbsp; This is why you should take a notebook with you.&amp;nbsp; I still prefer the “old fashioned,” spiral bound notebook, with a pen in hand.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Everyone has a niche, make sure you cultivate yours, and develop your own identity, in life.&amp;nbsp; Having support from people whose opinion you value is a wonderful thing but it should not be the criterion for whether you begin acting on fulfilling your goals or not&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you really desire to turn your idea into reality, constantly floating it around and seeking the approval of people will waste your time and kill your dream. What will happen to your idea if you don’t get the approval of those whose permission you so desperately need? Nothing!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;2. Don’t wait for perfection.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Waiting for a time when everything is perfect and in place will cause you to lose your enthusiasm and abandon your goal. Conditions may never be as perfect as you desire. You may never have all the money, time, or knowledge you desire to begin working on your goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You must take risks, learn and improve as you go along and then watch as everything begins to fall in place. If you have to wait for the perfect time to begin working on your goals you will be waiting a long time!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;3. Create time for the goal.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Many people have dreams, ideas or goals, which remain unfulfilled because they are too busy doing everything else but work on the goal! If you have a goal to accomplish, you must be ready to invest your time, and resources to ensure that it succeeds.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Making excuses about lacking the time to work on goals that are important to you is a procrastination tactic, which will kill your dream before it has a chance to see the light of day. There is always time to work on what we love and consider important. Create that time and see your dreams begin to unfold!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;4. Decide once and for all!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The process of goal accomplishment, like most things in life begins with a decision. You decide what you want to achieve and then you plan how you intend to achieve it.&lt;br /&gt;If accomplishing your goal is important to you, your inability to make crucial decisions about what you should do, how you should do it and when you should do it, will waste your time and choke your dream. Make up your mind and stop second-guessing yourself. When your mind is made up nothing can stop you from making progress with fulfilling your goals.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;5. Be bold and take the initiative.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Be bold! You are the one in charge of turning your dreams to reality. You need to be proactive and actively involved in the process of working on your goals to ensure you achieve them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just because you have shared your ideas with others does not necessarily mean that you are no longer responsible for turning them to reality. Don’t sit around waiting for others to make suggestions and guide your idea to reality. Don’t leave your dream entirely in the hands of others. Nobody cares about your dream like you do.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;6. Invest in your dream.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No idea is self-funding. Don’t be deceived into thinking that people will invest or finance your idea just because it is brilliant. If you are lucky, someone may invest in it, but if you are not, you will have to invest your time, energy and finances towards activities that will fortify and fulfill your dream.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may have to invest in the acquisition of knowledge or expertise that will help you achieve your goals. It would be a good idea to keep some money stashed away to finance your goal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;7. Do one thing at a time.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Commit yourself only to projects and activities which are connected to your main goal. Whatever you do should directly or indirectly add up to a move toward your main goal. Failure to do this will confuse, overwhelm, sidetrack, and drain your energy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To get started on achieving your goals, you need to plan for it and make it a priority. To get started consider brainstorming, long-term goals, short-term goals, evaluation of these goals, brainstorming some more, evaluating, and so on. You want to consider managing your time as well. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When you brainstorm you, develop new ideas. New ideas is the market that leads you to success. Brainstorming helps you to learn something new. When you start to brainstorm you, begin seeing things you didn’t see before. When you brainstorm, it is wise to take notes. The notes will help you to remember things you had forgotten. Use the notes to structure your plans. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As you sit and write be sure to start your plans with short-term goals. The short-term goals should lead up to your long-term goals. Short-term goals should include what you want to accomplish in the next few years. Do you plan to open a business? Do you plan to move? Do you plan to start a new career. Each question will lead you into the right direction as you find answers. For instance, I plan to open a business in the next few years. How do you plan to open that business? What business are you considering? How will you get the money to start your business. You have many options, so check your resources, learn new resources and continue building your dreams to improve your personal life. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;After you layout the plans for your short-term dreams, start working toward your long-term goals. For instance, in the next ten years what do you see yourself doing? Use your visions and voices inside to cultivate a plan. Brainstorm your ideas. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To set up long-term plans keep them realistic. Make sure that your long-term falls in accord with your short-term goals. For instance, if you plan to start a business in the next few years, build on this dream and plan to become productive and established in the near future. Start saving money to back your plans. You will need to set up a budget that allows you money to save. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to budget: &lt;br /&gt;Your budget is based on your net income. If make $30,000 per year, set a budget that works within your means. Set aside money for backup, recovery, and money to save. Perhaps you can also include in your plans a trip to the Internet. On the Internet and at your local library or colleges you will find that many grants are available to those starting a new business. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How to save time: &lt;br /&gt;You will need a time plan. You will need to plan your time wisely. The more time you plan to save the faster you will reach your dreams to improve your personal life and reach your goals. Save time by reviewing your daily activities, entertainment, family time, work time, leisure time and so on. If you spend four hours watching television, reduce your time to save by viewing television one hour each day, or two if the movie is worth your time. Worrying too much is not good for the soul or mind. We have many problems in life that we cannot change, therefore we need to learn how to change what we can and leave the rest alone. Depression is one of the leading problems today and mostly because of the reasons named. To live for a better tomorrow you have to first learn how to live for today. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are some of the ways I can get active?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many ways to become active instead of sitting in the house go out and make new friends. Maybe visit your local coffee shops. You may want to visit old friends you haven’t seen in a while. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;there are many ways to get active. We have gyms, which you can find reasonable sales. Visit the gym start working out and intermingle with people. The idea of socializing is to met new people and do things that you normally wouldn’t do normally.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How would I make new friends?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can go anywhere to met new friends. You can meet new friends at stores. You can visit a religious sector and make new acquaintances. In time, they may become your best friend. there you can meet new people get involved with people and then you will have plenty of things to keep you busy. Perhaps you can volunteer at your library, hospital, or other area around town. Here you will become actively involved with your community as you meet new people. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How will becoming more actively help me to improve my personal life? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When you are more active you always feel better because your doing something good. You are not wasting time harboring over mistakes, or other things that stress you. Instead of worrying about tomorrow or yesterday, you are spending your time wisely. Many people sit around all day sweating bills. If you are late with your bills, set up a budget, get on track and stop allowing bills take over your life. You will benefit from becoming active, since the bills will not be on your mind until they arrive in the mail. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The more active that you are you will feel the difference, since you start to feel better about you. You will notice that you are needed in this day and time for whatever the reason is. No one what’s to see anyone be total alone and just sit and think about the unknown that will make someone sick and feeling hopeless.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So no matter how you are feeling you need to get out and enjoy life while you can. It’s easy to pick up the phone and call a friend. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Call someone and invite him or her to shop with you. Invite them to come have coffee with you. Better yet, invite them to walk in the park with you. It’s your call. You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it. Sitting down on life is the process of heading to the grave. Take action now and socialize today. Be sure to keep your social friends on a positive note.
