Ringer Fashion: What are you doing here, ho?

I get it.

Bridget and Siobhan are identical twins.

But my problem with shows - be it Ringer, Lying Game or the Parent Trap (Hayley Mills or Lindsay Lohan) - with the same actress playing identical sisters, is that it is impossible to tell the two apart.

Having grown up with identical twins as friends, I know there's always something to tell them apart. Whether it's a freckle or a cowlick, or a different voice, no one is completely identical.

Unless they're one person playing two people.

So Ringer is throwing me, and I'm grateful that Bridget's Ringer Fashion is infinitely more interesting than Real Siobhans.

Because the only thing more difficult than telling SMG from SMG? Figuring out if Juliette really was raped by her teacher?

My husband and I are currently in the midst of house hunting, so I know what its like to be seduced by a house. Granite countertops? A bay window? A sprawling yard?

It's more erogenous that Fifty Shades of Grey.

And that latest find by Dr. Bob (is that his name) is nearly as hot as Crosby himself.

Just remember, just because a house looks good on the internet doesn't mean it's ultimately going to pass inspection.

Sometimes that relationship with the old bones, just needs a paint job and some fresh carpet.

Yes. That's a euphemism for Crosby.

The whole first cousins once removed nonsense. The arithmatic of family has my head spinning faster that Laurel's clampless curling iron.

But if Rebecca Sewell (thanks to the person who told me how to spell it) ends up with Alec, and she is Emma and Sutton's birth mother, then won't that make them half step siblings with Mads and Thayer?

And how awkward will that Thanksgiving dinner be?

They say a tiger can't change it's stripes.

And in the case of Ali Fedotowsky, she can't change her Chucks, either.

The former bachelorette snapped a picture of label in her black cold shoulder dress from LA with Ashley Hebert and Emily Maynard, when she couldn't find any information about the brand "Jore."

When I saw the label, I had to laugh. The dress is by Joie - an uber popular brand revered by celebs, starlets and yours truly.

And it was refreshing to see that despite how far Ali has come, she's still very much that strongminded girl next door in Converse and a ponytail.

In the 4th grade, my best friend Joanne was going out with Jason Neal (you can read about him here) and I remember finding reasons to talk to her, just to get closer to him.

I know this isn't an enviable quality. In fact, in high school I was a bit of a boyfriend stealer.

But when I think about Ashley Hebert, a lot of those same childhood tendencies resurface.

Look, I really like Ashley. I think she's cute. And self-aware. And she can laugh at herself like very few. She's got a great sense of humor and a greater sense of self.

But what I like best about Ashley Hebert is her boyfriend JP Rosenbaum.

So I'm glad she wore this adorable dress, so I had a reason to email her about it.

Though, to be fair, she could have been wearing something from Jamie's Toddler's and Tiaras collection, and the outcome would have been the same.

Revenge Fashion: Dresses from the engagement photos in Deception

If I'm being honest, when it comes to Revenge style, I act like a jealous girlfriend.

You see, I like to think I'm the Jack to Revenge's Emily. I was Revenge's first, tracking Revenge fashion before the pilot even aired. I spoke its praises and lauded its campy drama long before it became the must-tweet show for every person who likes clothes and has a twitter account.

And I never once gave up on us.

And I know that Revenge loves me too. There are hints underneath its cold demeanor. How else would you explain Victoria Grayson breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to me when she said, "no more bandage dresses?"

But I still can't help myself, when I see some shiny blogger with their fancy masthead and impressive parent company starting to cover Revenge Fashion, I start to worry. Maybe I'm not good enough for Revenge. Maybe I should start covering Teen Mom? Or the Bad Girls Club.

I just have to remember that it's Daniel - not Jack - who ends up getting shot at the Fire & Ice party.

Not that those bloggers would even know. I bet they never even watched the pilot.

A few days ago, it was brought to my attention that my "about me" section was offputting to a particular brand who'd previously been interested in meeting with me. My complacency for recycling and penchant for movies about eating disorders didn't mesh with their brand image.

And I'll admit for more than a few minutes I entertained the idea of going full Billy, and putting my hair in a conservative topknot and playing the humble fahsion blogger.

But the truth is, changing my voice (or my hair) for anyone else would be as authentic as Billy in a polished coif and Lacoste golf shirt.

So I thought to myself, "WWJD?" (what would Jane do?) And in true Jane by Design fashion I left my bio as is.

And I rewarded myself with a marathon of "Starving Secrets" on Lifetime.

I'll admit, I thought I was pretty smart a few weeks ago when I figured out that Silver was dating Maisy's father.

And I mean, like, Navid smart. Like, so smart Princeton calls you when they have an opening.

But this week, my husband (oh, hello couch, I'll probably be sleeping on you tonight) totally called the whole Vanessa paying the kid from Modern Family to jump in the water so that Liam could save her.

So I guess he's pretty smart, too.

I wonder if Princeton has one of those housing programs for married couples.

I know what you're thinking.

I'm all worked up because Casey S. is gone.

And you're right. After all, I don't actually care if Ben finds love. I only care what they're wearing.

Fortunately, for every door that closes, a window opens. And last night Ben pushed Blakely and Jamie through those windows, granting us a reprieve from bad pageant dresses and stripper inspired minidresses once and for all.

And I have to admit, I'm okay with Ben's final 6.

I'm not sure he finds love, but I'll be happy to see what any of these ladies' Bachelor Fashion at the the final rose ceremony.

For my final style guide, it was a no-brainer to recreate looks from Hart of Dixie fashion. After all, TV's newest darling is as well embraced for its Gilmore Girl inspired dialogue as it is for its envelope pushing fashion.

Arguably, Hart of Dixie put the final nail in capri's coffin making shorts the must have fashion item since the headband

And it's no surprise. Costume designer Meredith Markworth Pollack knows a thing of two about making classic items undeniably current - after all, before joining Hart of Dixie, Ms. Pollack was the assistant costume designer at Gossip Girl.

And Secret Circle is getting spookier by the episode.

As Cassie Embraces her dark magic, she's also embracing darker, edgier clothes including these incredible boots that I couldn't stop thinking about all weekend.

Now if only the editors at Secret Circle would embrace just a little more light, so we could see the darn outfits occasionally.

Jane by Design fashion of the Lookbook

I like to think that when it comes to fashion, I have a pretty good eye. But I'm definitely mainstream, which means when it comes to out-there fashion like neon skinny leather lace up leggings and Tilda Swinton, I don't always get it.

So when I saw Jane's mask and horn embellished horn as part of this week's Jane By Design fashion, I was wondering if I missed something.

It turns out the belt was a vintage piece, described by the show stylist as "the ugliest belt I could find."

Which was a relief.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if we see Tilda Swinton wearing it on the Oscars red carpet.

Where once I rushed home to watch it (sometimes two or three times a day) now I find it a weekly chore.

I make excuses. I'm too tired. I'm not feeling great. Until finally the weekend rolls around and I know it's my job to watch Glee.

So I'll half watch, my mind fantasizing about Pretty Little Liars or Parenthood. Remembering when Glee used to consume my thoughts.

And now it's as comfortable as an old shoe.

I loved last week's Lying Game fashion dialogue. So keep the comments coming.

If I were to categorize Sutton Mercer, I'd say she's the kind of girl who'd fake a pregnancy to trap a guy.

So it stands to reason that her birth mom (yes, I'm standing by my belief that Rebecca Soule is Emma and Sutton's babymama) would be the kind of woman who'd buy herself an engagement ring before locking down the dude.

I believe that you could put Zooey Deschanel in anything (including a light bright. See also: The Golden Globes) and it would be cute.

To wit, New Girl has been named one of the 5 best shows on television. And while I think it's perfectly fine, I don't actually find anything - save for the fashion and Zooey- more exceptional than any other 30 minutes sitcom out there.

Seriously. Can you tell me that you'd love New Girl just as much if Jess was played by a substitute?

And speaking of substitutes, if you want to get your hands on the turquoise striped top from last night's episode, you're going to need a substitute too, becuase the turquoise colorway isn't yet available. (They're thinking of releasing it in the near future.)

See Zooey Deschanel didn't just save New Girl. She saved an entire color of sweaters.

I've spent the day trying to find a look for less that could even compare to the Tory Burch swarovski trim boucle jacket she wore last night (my reader Tanya found it earlier today) but the truth is, everything I found was much like Paula Abdul on The X Factor.

So here's a confession.

I never buy nail polish.

What's the point, right? I mean, pay for the manicure and they give you the polish for free.

It's like beauty's equivalent of the bread basket.

But the other day, my friend Lisa was wearing the most incredible nail polish - a sort of greyish purple that changed in the light, but not iridescent or glittery and I haven't stopped thinking about it since.

Unfortch it's by Butter London, which my manicurist doesn't carry. But fortch (who says that) its DBP free, no carcinogens, etc, which is something I've been moving towards anyway, so I forked over my $14 + change and never looked back.

Hey, my life is going to be long.

My nails should look good.

It's true, when Sarah Michelle Gellar showed up at the Golden Globes in a tie dye monstrosity, I put her through the Ringer.

SMG swears she let her daughter pick out the aforementioned frock, but I'm calling BS on this one. Seriously? I don't even let my children pick out what they're having for dinner, much less what I'd wear to a red carpet function.

Fortunately, as Bridget and Siobhan, Sarah Michelle lets someone slightly more adept pick out her Ringer fashion.

Though I joke quite a bit about my own dealings with anxiety, and my long history in therapy, the truth is that I stopped going to therapy regularly right around the time I started the blog.

In hindsight, I suppose my time with my therapist could have been better spent talking about my feelings rather than nail polish and whether or not Jack Bauer would manage to save Los Angeles in 24 hours. (This was 2009, after all.)

Hell, for all the entertaining I did, she should have been paying me.

These days, you'll see a direct correlation between my levels of anxiety and finding random things that I can't live without - like this covetable leather pocket tee (above) - that seems to occupy my every thought these days.

But it's much cheaper for me to tell you about it than the $150/hr my therapist charges for emergency visits.
