I've been expecting this postcards for so long... counting days, imaging how it may look like, guessing what would be printed on it. Finally it arrived!

It was from one of the very famous ski resorts in Hokkaido. Daniel was so lucky to spent some months there before as a staff. He paid a visit for snowboarding earlier this month, and the only favor I asked, as always, was: "pick a postcard and send back to me please!" So he did it.

I'm always amazed when people answered my sudden request like that. Even more impressive- they DID remember to keep the promise. For this case-- yes I am deeply touched...

"Hokkaido is truly a beautiful place. One can never resist, especially, its breathtaking snow view- it simply calms you down. Can you feel it?"

Hey, I want to see it myself. When is the next visit? ;)

Mr. your sheep has arrived.

Alfred sent this to me and marked it as "another postcard from the Animal series."

"I guess you won't against the idea to have a cute sheep's postcard. I've met so many horses, cows, sheep, and dears, etc here, who were NOT afraid of human at all. So the visitors all felt relaxed and at home. I guess you'd love it this way too."

Yeah, I've been thinking about visiting New Zealand for quite some time, but haven't made it thus far. I should definitely saving some time for it next time! Thanks Alfred for the reminder!

Paula in Barcelona, Spain!

Paula went to Paris, France to enjoy her half-year exchange student life, and of course she utilized the chance to tour around. One of her stops was the country with endless sunshine, great food, and art allllllll around- Spain!

"Barcelona is my favorite European country so far! It's a bit chilly in winter, but it's not too cold. The medieval old towns all feel romantic. The most impressive thing to me is the architectures by Gaudi! These mosaic are displayed in the Park Guell Gaudi. Hope you like it!"

This postcard was sent by Andrew from East Village of NYC during his "business trip."

"I suppose a Dylan postcard would be much more appropriate than any other NYC theme ones." said Andrew.

Frankly, the postcard told more about "it was sent by Andrew" than "it was sent from NYC." I appreciated both of the ideas anyways, my friend. I was very happy to get some greetings from you :)

Isabel went to Beijing for some work training, and she found some gap time to hunt for a postcard for me. I must admit this one is quite classic and not so common. Comparing to many other tourist-kind of postcards, this one shows more local Beijing.

"HuTong here all got its own style and were great for a walk. The only problem is- the air pollution made things SO bad."

It was a miracle.

Just when I was so down and so need a lift;

Just when I thought of checking the mail box, intending to pick up dad's important items;

Just when I started to wonder "did YK remember to send a postcard?"

You arrived, in the most graceful way, with the most pleasant messages.

"Georgia's been super awesome so far. Lots of great outdoor tracks & beautiful nature, a little like Switzerland. Think you'll really like it here."

No kidding. The postcard brought me courage, and the words got me back to life. Suddenly felt like on trip already- on the hill, in the valley, or along the glaciers.

I received a HUGE postcard today, and I have no clue where was that from by seeing the image. It turned clear when I read the contents on the flip side-- it's from Andlia's trip to Beijing.

Andlia is the Finance Specialist of Taiwan Model UN Development Association and I am fortunate enough to work with her for around one year to date. Her summer trip to Beijing this time also allowed her a visit to 承德避暑山莊, where she recommended highly-

"若西湖是美人，嬌美得令人憐愛；那麼承德就是胸懷四方的俠士，闊氣得令人佩服!"

Patty and I just met in person tonight, and her postcard arrived at my door when home. Both of the experiences put a great smile on my face, while the latter extended our evening joy further.

"I wish I were like you who could speak Japanese! There're really few people here that can understand English..." Patty wrote, "somehow Mandarin is a stronger foreign language in use here (thanks to tourists from China!)"

Patty also shared her joy when appreciating night views in Osaka and scenery in Kyoto. I believe her favorite spots will stay in her memory for a long time, and sometimes in the future, all that she experienced will become some truly valuable nutrition for life.

Yes, Patty, I totally agree with you on your last comment: I wish we all can save enough money to travel around the world to see, to touch, and to feel it first hand. Traveling is indeed a tremendously wonderful thing :)

Two postcard arrived at my door on the same date, and this one traveled for longer distance-- it carried the love of Patricia from her journey in Scotland.

She and her love traveled to Scotland and luckily got no rain at all~ How lucky they are!! It's chilly, it's fun. People are nice, and so does food (bravo!)

There was a sudden phone call during my weekly meeting. The number displayed was too important that I knew I must pick it up.

"Hello? Welcome back! Where are you now?" I whispered.

"I'm actually not back, but I'm close enough. I'm in Xiamen now and just calling to say hi. I'll send you a postcard from here later."

That was the very call that lighted up my day.

And this is the very postcard arrived to sparkle my other lousy day.

"If you ever came here, you'd be touched and impressed by the grand Huanji Building and the people living in here, just like I did! I am so sure about it." wrote Howard.

Sandy went to Thailand for some rest for several days, and here, Ayutthaya, was once the capital of it. The bricks, grassland, stunning sunshine and everything made it a fairy land that felt so not like something on earth.

You got that right! None of my earlier postcards had traveled that far. An additional impressive thing about it was-- it had traveled for the longest time to arrive! The date printed with your signature was 12/29/10, and the date I received it was 04/09/11! I was overjoyed to get it anyways. It's just incredibly awesome ^__^

You lucky bastard also got to do some wicked rock climbing in the Patagonias. How come you can have all the fun without me? Aww...

She said, she read my Facebook updates and she wished me all great.

She said, she was brought to a special tea house with so many books around, and that space became her secret corner whenever she came back to town. The space kept her attached in an invisible way, and she didn't even care if anyone else noticed this special relationship. Maybe her motivation to write postcards continuously is somehow similar-- to stay connected (one way or mutual) with that special person via words and to deliver considerations. And

she said, although she's not by my side physically, Jeanne would love to show her full support to me.

This is indeed the most bumpy German trip. Fever and a bad cold comparatively is nothing already, since I was sent to the hospital by ambulance due to urgent allergy in Frankfurt... Fortunately, my friend was, and always is, my most valuable asset in life to help me survive every thing! Thank God!!
