Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey

I am predicting outcome of this boxing match between Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey will be different than what most of the fans are thinking for or even you. Manny Pacquiao sound and looks over confident. This is usually what happens when the boxer is no longer hungry; the new life style is everything. Let’s be honest, Manny Pacquiao has nothing to prove on this fight, of course there is the hype, and the lime light on it which are not new to him anymore. But his opponent, Joshua Clottey looks hungrier and wants what Manny Pacquiao has. Even the fox tries to get her share of the meat from the lion when she is hungry. I also think Manny Pacquiao is looking his way out; let’s face it, his running for senate in his back home, Philippines. The way I figure it out, he said to himself that you rather lose to an unknown boxer than a known one; this is how usually boxers retire. So on March 13, 2010, will the last of Manny Pacquiao, he already said he singing, that can be the farewell speak I think. Either way, I want Manny Pacquiao to win, even though I was disappointed when the fight was cancelled between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

7V8UNGY3QR2P

Most dangerous sport of the world

Dembe is traditional boxing sport held every year in Nigeria. You can call it crazy but Nigerian people love it and it is legal above all. It is one of the most dangerous sports in world and usually death is being the fatal result. The men who fight are the new warriors of their age, some say they are looking for fame, others say it is only way out from poverty but I see them as true warriors who don’t need boxing gloves, and 1-2-3 steps of boxing rules. In this sport, there are no rules, if there are three knockouts in first three rounds, and then the match is over. If there are good boxers, then the match can last about hour and so. They fight with bare hands, knuckle to knuckle, therefore only the strongest survives and stands at last. The reward is simple, the winner gets $100, a TV set and of course the pride of the champion. Believe me, this is more fun than watching Avatar or Hollywood Oscar night. Also, this is how Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquao should settle their differences, Nah; it is just an opinion (lol) because they got pretty faces. (lol)
At 45 years of age, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins (50-5-1, 32 KOs) remains in peak physical shape and is still at the top of his game. Roy Jones Jr. (54-6, 40 KOs) has been considered one of the best pound-4-pound boxers in the sport, but at 41 years old, after a few recent losses, people tend write him off as a finished fighter.

Both fighters had tune-up fights, Hopkins won easily but Jones didn't do well and was knocked out in the first round by Danny Green.
At that point, the fight should have been cancelled. But it wasn't, that’s boxing. At a promotional debate in New York. Hopkins was asked who he thought won the debate; He answered “Who cares, the only thing that matters is who wins the fight.” He also predicts he’ll win by a knockout on this fight
7V8UNGY3QR2P

Mike Tyson from the ring to Hollywood

Days before he won a Golden Globe for his involvement in the hit comedy, The Hangover, which earned the award in the Best Comedy category, Mike Tyson returned to the world of wrestling, appearing on WWE’s “Monday Night Raw program as the celebrity guest host.

Otherwise he will ruin his legacy as champ. George Foreman came back at 38, when he was away over fifteen years from boxing, suprisingly, he fought with younger fighters and captured world title.
Evander Holyfield who is 47-year-old and former heavyweight champion was granted a one fight boxing license by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday. The decision opens the door for Evander to face 41-year-old WBF champ Frans Botha on April 17 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. Naseem Hamed born 12 February 1974 was a British Boxer and former Bantamweight and Featherweight champion. He is born to Yemeni parents who immigrated to Sheffield, England. He was known by the nickname Prince Naseem or Naz.

Hamed was notorious on for his boxing antics and spectacular ring entrances that have included being deposited in the middle of the ring by an elevator, which was set up specially for the event near the roof of the Manchester Evening News Arena, being carried into the ring on a Palanquin, walking into the ring on a fashion runway style walk way and walking into the ring with a Halloween mask for his fight with Wayned McCullough and he fought on Halloween night of 1998.

Hamed is also known for his unorthodox behavior outside the ring. He had an altercation at Heathrow Airport with former boxing world champion Chris Eubank, showing off his belts and reminding Eubank that he was no longer a champion. He was managed by Barry Hearn then Frank Warren and finally by his eldest brother Riath Hamed. In May 2006, he was jailed for 15 months for dangerous driving but was granted an early release in September 2006. Hamed was awarded the MBE in 1999, but it was revoked in December 2006, after his jail sentence. On BBC Radio Sports week interview Hamed announced that his retirement was largely due to chronic hand problems, which meant he had to take tendinitis injections after every fight. Following the loss to Barrera, Hamed, his confidence apparently shattered, didn't want to fight Barrera again, he faded from view.
7V8UNGY3QR2P

Who is Amir Khan?

Amir Iqbal Khan was born 8 December 1986. He is a British boxer from Bolton, England. He became the WBA World Light-welterweight champion after defeating Andreas Kotelnik on July 18, 2009 at the age of 22 which made him Britain’s third youngest World champion after Naseem Hamed and Herbie Hide.

He was previously in the lightweight division where he held the Commonwealth WBO Inter-Continental and WBA international titles. He also became the youngest British Olympic Boxing medalist when he won silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics at the age of 17. Khan is a British Pakistani descended from the Janjua Rajput clan. Let’s face it Mayweather and Pacquiao did not wanted to face each other, not only they disappointed themselves but boxing fans. Each party blaming the other is lame excuse I say. I believe, only the best fighter can claim the number one spot on the best pound for pound fighter in the world. These two guys do not want to go down as second in boxing lightweight history. Instead of proving to the boxing fans who is the best, they started war of words, let’s get in the ring and then the action will speed louder.

However, that will not happen soon my friends, because Manny Pacquiaco is fighting against Joshua Clottey whereas Mayweather is fighting against the veteran Shane Mosley. I know, I know, this I did not imagined but what I can say, welcome to the boxing world.

Pacquiao will be defending his welterweight title, he is on his best after he out performed three time world champion Miguel Cotto. He also at his career high by becoming first person to win seven titles in different weight divisions. He had won his last three world championships fights by way of knockout. His knockout victories over Cotto and Hatton made him the 2009 pay-per-view king, exceeding two million buys combined.

Joshua Clottey, is from Ghana, now fighting out of Bronx, NY. He won the International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title in 2008 by defeating three-time world champion Zab Judah. He also showed his best performance when he became victories over two-division world champion Diego Corrales and undefeated contender Richard Gutierrez and a close decision lose to world champion Antonio Margarito. In his last fight Clottey lost a controversial split decision to defending WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto at Madison Square Garden.
