My First Impression

I liked the audio and the flow of this show. It keeps moving and feels well organized. I liked that you were telling stories. I might’ve moved point 1 in between your story 1 and story 2 to kind of get going on that list a little sooner, but again, the show kept moving.

Because the show was moving at a decent pace, I would keep listening to hear the other points

Some minor things to consider

For me (A Christian) when someone uses LOTS of Jesus Jargon I worry that non-believers may get turned off as they may not quite understand what “Kingdom Training” is and feel left out.

There was some minor plosive on words like “Apprentice.”

As the first episode of 2022, I often do an episode for beginners, such as episode 756 14 Steps to Start a Successful Podcast in 2021

One of the most dangerous things you can do in podcasting is comparing your show to others. When I was in my 20s I would play golf once a year with my brother. My golf scores look like someone who golfed once a year. I would use my Dad’s old clubs and would go to one of the cheapest clubs and just a fun day of hanging out. How would I feel if I compared myself to Tiger Woods? That would be insane unless I compared myself to a four-year-old Tiger. When you have your attitude in check, it can change the way you perform moving forward.

From the “hobbyist” to the “semi pro” you will see that if the hobbyist attempts to do everything the “semi pro” does they will burn out. Also, anyone who starts a podcast will attract people they didn’t expect to attract.

Why You Need an OBJECTIVE Opinion About Your Podcast

I know it’s hard to ask someone to review that first episode that you just spent 10 hours working on, but it makes no sense to promote something until you know it engages your listeners.

THE BEST EXAMPLE

In watching the documentary Get Back on Disney+, there is not one but TWO clips of Yoko Ono “singing.” Does her husband John Lennon stop her to say, “Hey let’s work on that later?” No, he’s probably blind to her shrieking into the microphone.

So my advice today is don’t be Yoko. Your family and friends are not going to let you know those things that need tweaking in your episode.
