Borderlands 2 - First Time Playing

Borderlands 2 is Borderlands. The game combines first-person shooter action with a Diablo-style random loot-fest. It has lots of charm humor. Besides combat feeling a bit gimped at the beginning I liked it.

Path of Exile (Closed Beta) - First Time

Path of Exile is a Action RPG (ala Diablo) that was in closed beta (now in Open Beta) that I caught wind of in a thread n reddit about Jaw Wilson's departure from the Diablo III team.

I have to say I love this game. The skill system is as deep as the ocean and I think I'm going to enjoy getting lost in this game very much! Expect more Path of Exile from me in the future.

Sleeping Dogs - First Time Playing

Seelping Dogs was a fairly well made open world (read Grand Theft Auto) style game that replaces the majority of the guns with good old-fashioned hand-to-hand martial arts and street fighting combat.

After a few hours I found myself getting drawn into the story and may actually pick it back up at some point.

Dishonored - First Time Playing

Dishonored is by Arkane who created one of our favorite games Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. It is a first person games where you can kill enemies in multiple ways including various "magic" abilities as well as melee and projectile weapons. We dig it.

Painkiller is a straight-to-the-action FPS in the tradition on Unreal Tournament. If you love the gameplay and mechanics of Unreal Tournament you'll probably enjoy Painkiller. We had some good fun with it.

Dead Island - First Time Playing

In Dead Island we find a melee-heavy first-person zombie action/survival horror game. The action has a feel similar to the Condemed: Criminal Intent and a bit of Oblivion/Skyrim/Fall Out 3 feel to it. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Dungeon Defenders - First Time Playing

In this video we give the 3rd-person RPG/tower defense game a go. We were surprised by how long the "build phase" of this game took and we're not sure it's our cup of tea but it was interesting.
