Tips for using Chick-fil-A One

Lunchtime has been more enjoyable with the addition of a Chick-fil-A in our town. A great perk they offer is the new app called Chick-fil-A One. Here are some tips on how to use the app to maximize your savings.

Before I begin, let me say that there are a variety of ways you can save at Chick-fil-A. If your local school offers a discount card through a fundraiser, I encourage you to support them. You'll make your money back very quickly in most cases. Since Chick-fil-A is involved in community, it's likely that a discount is available in your area. Now, back to the app.

There are several features of the Chick-fil-A One app worth mentioning:

-->You can add funds using your debit card to expedite ordering.

-->You can order ahead to pick up inside, or receive your order at your car.

-->You accumulate points toward freebies!

Here are some recent updates to the Chick-fil-A One app:

**Update 2018** Gift cards are now compatible with the app! When you tap to add funds to your app, it now gives the option to "Transfer a Gift Card". Simply enter the card number and PIN, and it will add the value of the gift card to your balance.
**Update 2018** They have eliminated the calendar and calendar card. Points are now earned for every purchase. You can use your points for most menu items, but not frosted treats such as frosted lemonade and frosted coffee.

Important Note: Add funds to the app prior to redeeming a reward. You will not be able to add funds afterwards, and will need to pay using another method. This means you will not earn points for that purchase.

I learned all of these tips through trial and error. I hope that this information will help you save time and money when using Chick-fil-A One. For every update to the app, I will update the information on this post.
