I have a few photos I'd like to show you...

Like this never ending attempt to write a letter without a mistake :)

Late night at work.

In Aero Cinema. Well, you have to experience this one by yourself as it is a living organism. People go in and out during projection, the projection might get, well, terribly wrong etc. But there are films you won't see anywhere else. And it's not that bad after all. Just go there when you're in Prague.

... oh, and their entrance is very dangerous :)

Now the snow series.

Our family had this car when I was younger. It was great! :)

Exhibition of artists who were rejected from various art academies. I think the title was "under the line".

We were there with a friend...

... who had her own exhibition just week later.

... to see Andy Warhol's Cars and Annie Leibovitz's exhibition. Plus some others. Wonderful time. And Andy Warhol's Cars is the best exhibition I've seen in a while.

Then I couldn't resist the pancake evening with Arizona Dream at Tomas'.

Here are the 4 GB of ram. With which the youtube videos play much more better.

After a press event in Bratislava we went to see the brand new Sheraton hotel. As one could expect, it's a top class. And the people here are so nice and helpful.

We went out with my friends who take care of me while I'm in Bratislava :)

At the end... my shoes fell in love with Lubka's shoes.

The greatness of randomness

The random photos, mostly from Christmas time before the snow entered Prague.
Is 'not having distilled water for developing' a good excuse for not posting new photos? :)

One old the very old houses in Zbraslav which would easily be transformed into some kind of museum, I guess. But they live there so that would be inconvenient.

Well, bearing in mind the location of this shot... then it could have been blood. But "In beer veritas" ... ok, not so smooth but you understand me, right? :)

Some things I'd like not to forget

Well, these are the photos from the almost two last weeks of 2009. I guess you would enjoy them more if you were I and have my memories, but... you know... :) Here waiting for the ballet performance in Strasnicke theatre.

With Honza, my high school classmate, as one of the main dancers. I'm always amazed by him and the passion he has for dancing.

Lubka was going to Prague so I tried to create a little map for her so she wouldn't get lost in the big city.

And here she is, fittings in Ostrava.

Definitely the nicest thing :)

We had a great photographer Pavel Sinagl in Brno. Well, one expect the photos should be good, but he's also great with people. And sometimes that's even more important.

Coincidentally we found out I could connect my computer to the mix pult. So I mixed :)

Back in Prague. Christmas shopping wouldn't be complete without watching Hannah Montana in the children corner.

This doesn't happen often, but every now and then somebody steal my camera and manage to take a picture of me :) People on photos below are some of my most favorite people of 2009 (and many years to come, for sure :)

You may remember the heart.

Christmas gifts packing. I went with the simple theme this year. Of course, I got the best gift after New Year's... but I don't complain.

Oh, these are the t-shirts my sister made for herself and her friends. I'll have to show you the one she did for me next time.

I have to show you the U Carodejek cafe. It is owned by a lady who predicted our future when we were there few months ago. It's becoming a reality now. Weird stuff.

So there should be a lot of traveling in 2010

Hope you're doing well :) At least as well as I do :) ... just a few photos before Christmas... at T.G.I. Fridays at Andel. One of the advantages of having a friend as a bartender is he can serve you cocktails that exists only in his mind.

We went to see Lars von Trier's Antichrist with Tomas. I almost died at that movie. Please, rather don't go see that movie yourself.

It was in Lucerna cinema so we stoped for a drink in Lucerna café.

V Zatisi restaurant near Betlemske square.

333 km away from V Zatisi restaurant... in Bratislava at Hviezdoslavovo square the next day.

And guess who else was in Bratislava... The Backstreet boys! :)

Sunday book club (directly from bed) - Jim Carroll and The Basketball Diaries

After seeing the movie The Basketball Diaries last year I finally found the Jim Carroll's book in our library. Well, I didn't expect it to be in the (almost) children section, but whatever. It's my bedtime book for now. The movie would be a better fit if you don't have time for the book. And you will be able to see young Leonardo DiCaprio in it, too :) Have you seen This Boy's Life, What's Eating Gilbert Grape or Celebrity?

Is there another way to start the weekend's long post than with Jirka? We were at this... ehm... "exhibition" where they forbade us to take pictures.

So we went to our favorite pizzeria near Holesovice fairground and looked at the cooks.

The first time we were in this restaurant was on Thursday July 14, 2005. For which I have a proof :) There are some great post on that blog from 2005... if you speak Czech.

So it happened that we got a lot of tickets to Vogue party in club Mecca.

Here is Maruska, my unbelievably skillful, smart and cute colleague.

Sorry, I don't know what was meant by this.

There was a fashion show by ODD:ROOM designers. I have to say Iva Burkertova and her skirts are my favorite. You can see them in all their beauty on her blog.

Oh, and there was champagne.

We went to see Midnight Cowboy on Saturday afternoon. You can see the poster just above the District 9 one.

It's a pretty intense movie.

And there were like 10 people in the small screening room in Svetozor cinema. Did I mention I adore that movie? One of my all time favorites. Not everybody fells like that, though.

Moving to Usti nad Labem. Bobek and Monika.

Bobek kind of became a photographer of the whole day. Starting with his camera and then with Monika's camera...

... and then with my camera. He took more good pictures that day with my camera than I took during the whole year. He's just good. And passionate.

Monika - being great, looking stunning... as usual. By the way, you can check Monika's blog. Well, it's only in Czech, but there are pictures sometimes :)

Chris and Monika. I like Chris DJing. The years of experience really shows. His talent helps a lot, too :)

And Radovan, the real pro-photographer. If you're into photo equipment (like I am), you can imagine my excitement when we (well, mostly he, I was just looking) did a photo-shoot for our client with his Hasselblad with a digital back a few years ago. He uses his 1Ds mark III for these smaller gigs now :)

Once, or twice, again Chris and Monika.

These nice girls had the hardest job. Recruiting people to Billa club from 8 am to 9 pm. In those cute-looking, but impossible-to-stay-all-day-in dresses.

Monika... but that was easy.

Adriana was there, too. Actually, she was there to launch a new issue of a tabloid magazine. Not that easy life when you have regular job and you work hard on your singer career at the same time.

I recommended it before and will gladly do that again... Cloud 9 bar at the top of Hilton hotel at Florenc is one of my favorites. Nothing compares to sitting on the terrace and having a drink or two there :)

Thousands of people live literally few steps away from this alley near Novodvorska leading to a forest park. A great loss for those who didn't enjoy it on the perfect sunny Sunday we just had. It was hard to resist not to go out. Actually, we're having quite a nice autumn in Prague this year :)

It was a slow day. I had to wait for 15 minutes to actually see an airplane. At the airport.

If you have a lot of time waiting for the flight you can go see this exposition section and watch some documentaries.

Or if you just want to kill a few minutes this exhibition right in the departure hall might be more convenient :)

No doubt about that, Italy is beautiful (unlike the photo from our metro that is rather depressive). At that moment I immediately remembered Jessica's Rome Photo Blog and Valeria's Verona daily photo. Both of which are my favorite blogs from Italy. I can't wait for summer when there are also direct flights to Sardegna from Prague :)

By the way, would anybody like to visit Annie Leibovitz exhibition in Wien?

What I saw in Kosice

So we were in Kosice, Slovakia a week ago. Here are Lubka (left), JunioR from Fun radio (right), and Komajota (in the middle).

At this very moment I decided to have kids only to justify buying this pram. The proud mother of this one told me she bought it in London and how difficult it was to ship it to Kosice. But it's the one to die for.
