Chiranjeevi says Chandrababu doesn't have the moral right to criticize him

Tirupati MLA Chiranjeevi said that TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu doesn't have the moral right to criticize him that he forgot about the social justice promise. Chiranjeevi reached Tirupati to participate in several welfare activities. Speaking at a Revenue Sadassu in Muthyala Reddipalli of Tirupati Urban mandal, Chiranjeevi said that after launching his Praja Rajyam party, he has given 104 tickets to BC candidates, 6 to SC/ST and 18 to those belonging to minority communities. He also helped six persons contest for the MP seats during the 2009 elections, Chiranjeevi reminded.

New ministers allotted portfolios

The portfolios of the two new ministers were allotted today by the Chief Minister. The stalemate over the portfolios ended after the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy spent an hour long meeting with the two ministers at the camp office. C Ramachandraiah was given the Endowments portfolio, while Ganta Srinivasa Rao is given the Infrastructure & Investments, Ports, Airports and Natural Gas portfolio. The Chief Minister is said to have promised the Ministers that the current allotment is temporary and they would get their desire portfolios in the re-haul of the Cabinet.

The Praja Rajyam Party has finally something to cheer about after merging their party with the ruling Congress party. Two of the PRP legislators – MLC C Ramachandraiah and Anakapalle MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao were inducted into the State cabinet today. This was preceded by a number of consultations between the Congress state leadership with the party high command in New Delhi. Though, the Praja Rajyam Party wanted at least three berths to their candidates in the State cabinet, the high command has only allowed two.

Chiranjeevi makes light of Balakrishna's remarks

Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi has made light of TDP leader and film actor Balakrishna's remarks. Chiranjeevi who reached Visakhapatnam today en route to Araku spoke to reporters at the airport. When asked to comment about the TDP leader's comments, Chiranjeevi said that Balakrishna is a good friend and has a childish attitude. He said that one need not take his comments seriously.

PRP issues Whip to its MLAs

The Praja Rajyam Party has finally issued a Whip to its MLAs. Praja Rajyam chief Chiranjeevi asked his MLAs to vote for the Government in the no-confidence voting tomorrow. Whip has also been issued to Shobha Nagi Reddy who has defected to the YSR Congress Party.

Right move to merge PR with Congress says Chiranjeevi

Actor-turned-Politician Chiranjeevi said that he made the right move when he decided to merge the Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress party. While saying that he is not worried about securing a position in the Government, Chiranjeevi said that his desire to render justice to the weaker sections has attracted him to politics. Admitting that he failed to reach his desired goal in politics, Chiranjeevi said that lack of political acumen did him in. He said that he would not trade the support of the people for any post or position.

PRP MLAs meet Chief Minister

Tirupati MLA and founder of the erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party K Chiranjeevi met the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy at the later's residence Monday. Chiranjeevi is accompanied by other Praja Rajyam Party MLAs including Ganta Srinivasa Rao, MLC C Ramachandriah and party leaders Buragadda Vedavyas, Kotthapalli Subbarayudu, Kamineni Srinivasa Rao and others. During the discussion, the Chief Minister asked Chiranjeevi to submit the merger letter to the Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar Reddy which enables the MLAs who won on Praja Rajyam ticket and later took Congress membership as associate members to the ruling party. Since the winter session of the Assembly begins on December 1, the Chief Minister asked Chiranjeevi to complete the formalities by that time.

Tirupati MLA and President of the erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party K Chiranjeevi announced that the engagement of his son Ram Charan Teja with Upasana Kamineni the grand daughter of Apollo Hospitals' founder and chairman Prathap Reddy will be held on December 1, 2011.

Palla Srinivasa Rao takes Congress party membership

Praja Rajyam Party leader Palla Srinivasa Rao has officially joined the Congress party. It is known that the Praja Rajyam Party has merged with the Congress party. A meeting marking the merger 'Uttarandhra Congress Garjana' was held last week in the city.
