The said medtech licensure examination was given by the PRC and Professional Regulatory Board of Medical Technology last January 21-22, 2021 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

According to PRC, those who failed to pass the licensure examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician.

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1283 series of 2020, the target release of Medical technologist board exam results is on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 or in three (3) working days after the exam.

FAST FACT

Last September 2019 Medtech board exam, PRC listed 4,743 out of 6,453 (73.50%) who passed the exams. Reiven John Borbon Bernales of the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City aced the board with 90.50%.

In the March 2019 MTLE, a total of 2,801 out of 4,092 (68.45%) successfully hurdled the exams. John Steward Buenavista Alberto of Cagayan State University - Andrews Campus (TUG) and Zairah de Leon Monjardin of Far Eastern University - Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation tied on the highest place with 91.10%.

In the September 2018 exams, a total of 4,718 out of 6,070 successfully passed the exams. Lorenz Masajo Barro of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) led the passers with 92.10%.

The result of the January 2021 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination (MTLE) also known as Medtech board exam which includes the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing school, and performance of schools is posted here, once officially released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

PRC conducted the resumption of medical technologists board exam to the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro (CDO), Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga last January 21-22, 2021.

MEDTECH BOARD EXAM RESULT SUMMARY:

PRC Board of Medical Technology headed by Chairman, Dr. Marilyn A. Cabal-Barza and its members, Ms. Marilyn R. Atienza and Ms. Marian M. Tantingco administered the licensure examinations.

RELEASE DATE

According to PRC Resolution No. 1283 s. 2020, examination results are expected to be released within three (3) working days after the licensure exams.

However, examiners should expect that the exam results might release earlier or later than the expected date without prior notice from PRC.

INITIAL REGISTRATION

The schedule of online appointments for the issuance of Professional ID and Certificate of Registration for new MedTechs will be announced by PRC along with official results. Initial registrants are advised to register online via http://online.prc.gov.ph/, an online application and registration portal of PRC.

Here are the registration requirements:

Notice of Admission (NOA) - for identification purposes
Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)

PRC added that successful RMT examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

VERIFICATION OF RATING/ OATHTAKING

Both pass and failed examinees can verify their rating online.

Due to the pandemic, the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be done virtual or online. The online oathtaking application system (e-oath) can be accessed at Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).
