Murphy Honored at Americana Awards

Best know for her work with the Precious Life Shelter in Los Alamitos, Theresa Murphy was recognized by Cypress College as the Los Alamitos/Rossmoor Citizen of the Year at the recent Americana Awards. The 38th Annual event was held at the Disneyland Hotel.

Murphy is the Executive Director of the Precious Life Shelter, which offers housing and assistance to homeless pregnant women. But she is also involved in other philanthropic work in and around the Los Alamitos area.

Annual Affair of the Heart♥ Gala “Where Hope Happens” March 2, 2013

Dear Precious Life Shelter Supporters, Friends and Partners,

On Saturday, March 2, 2013, Precious Life Shelter will hold its Annual Affair of the Heart♥ Fundraiser Gala “Where Hope Happens” at the Eagles Nest Clubhouse in Cypress. This annual event is our primary fundraiser that supports the operations of the Shelter.

Your generous donations are critical to offset the cost of the event and provide for the three phase residential supportive services program for women looking for a safe environment to have her child. Money raised goes to helping our women and their babies become independent, thrive and achieve their goals at the shelter. As a donor, you will be recognized in the event program, in our 4,500+ newsletter mailing and on our website, giving you maximum exposure throughout the local community. We welcome all donations which will be packaged and presented as received. Below is a list of suggested items. Please refer to the donation form attached for mailing instructions.
