Here is my project!

This was a request by a customer, she wanted a white tear bear in a dress holding a banner with her daughters name to put it on the front of her daughters lavender scrapbook.

I just love the way it came out as does she.

I used the the dress and scalloped banner patterns from Designs on Cloud 9

The butterfly is from the shapes library in SCAL2

and the Tear bear I used the acrylic patter & mulberry paper from The Beary Scrap.

Pretty Springy, right?

I hopped onto this wonderful hop as a fill in for someone who had to drop out last minute, so that is why my layout already has photos in it & will not be going to the bride... crafting community at it's finest; jumping in to lend a hand :0)

So here is my project I made as a gift for my Aunt, I put this layout into a shadow box for her to hang on a wall or put on a shelf.

Little extra gift for the teacher and the bus driver

Sweet Peppermint Popcorn

3/4 c popcorn kernels or 2 bags of microwaved popcorn
1 pk of white melting chocolate (melted) such as Wilton chocolates
1 tsp peppermint extract
1 6 oz box of candy canes (crushed)

mix all ingredients together lay out on a piece of wax paper to allow chocolate to re-harden & store in an air tight container. Mmmmm

This is the first time I have made this & it is soooooo Yummy!

I put 1/4 lb in each bag and attached the cute Mr. & Mrs. Claus paper piecings from Designs on Cloud 9.

I am going to give these along with a gift card.

This is the recipe card I print and include with my little cookie gift.

Here is my cookie box that I put a few of my cookies in and wrap them in tissue paper ans a cello bag to give to some of my coworkers.

And this is the cookie that I will put in the box this year...

I found this cookie through BettyCrocker.com, it was the Prize winning Recipe for 2011, I made it last year for Christmas and decided this will be the cookie to give away this year.

If you like pistachio and a soft cookies, this is a goodie.

RECIPE

1 pouch (1lb 1.5oz) Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix

1 box (4 servings) pistachio instant pudding and pie filling mix

1/4 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

2 eggs

1 cup dry roasted salted pistachio nuts, chopped (can substitute walnuts)

1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped

1. Heat oven to 350*F. In large bowl, stir together cookie mix, pudding mix and flour. Stir in melted butter and eggs until soft dough forms. Add pistachios and cranberries; mix well

2. Using small cookie scoop or teaspoon, drop dough 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with fingers to slightly flatten.

3. Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet, cool completely. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

Makes approx: 48 cookies

Simple Birthday card for Dad

Just wanted to share a quick masculine card I made yesterday when I realized I forgot to make my Dad a card and they were on their way over to have dinner & cake.

Yikes!

I used scraps and put it together in 15 minutes.

(that is a serious record for me, usually takes me forever to put a card together)

DT project Raggedy Tear Bears

I have seen some really cute Raggedy Ann & Andy piecings lately and had to take a shot at it.

I had to get creative here!

I used different pieces out of 3 pattern sets from Designs on Cloud 9, some ribbon, eyelet lace, some embroidery thread & mulberry paper & the acrylic Tear Bear pattern from The Beary Scrap.

I have to say I LOVE the results.

The different sets I used from Designs on Cloud 9 are....

I took the legs from the Witches Brew pattern set, the cap, bow (to make his bow tie) & shoes from the Fall Crows Pattern set, the brim of his hat and overall from the Fall Fun Pattern set.

Now that was a challenge, but a fun one. Hope you like them.

Disguise Tom Turkey

My daughter came home with this project "Disguise Tom Turkey" so he makes it through Thanksgiving. I myself have never done this or heard of this, so being the crafty Mom.... my daughter and I looked thru Designs on Cloud9's website and we decided it would be fun to disguise Tom as Elvis Presley (well she didn't even know who he was), but I told her that no one else would have the same Turkey as her & told her who he was... she agreed and this is what we came up with.... So funny!!!
