Well, I am not really a fan for body kits, as I...

Well, I am not really a fan for body kits, as I beleive you can make the stock bumper look really awesome on any car !!!

I am not saying that body kits are rice at all so please no sob stories :sneaky2:

Well here it is this is not a how to just how converted my bumper to make it look awesome

As you can see in the pic there is a plastic piece joining the lower part of the bumper to give it a complete look

Here is the original

You will notice in the above picture that I removed the beading and there is that channel which I filled up with filler, this is a stock dx/ex bumper

The above pic shows the part where the clips used to be and they are now filled

Here is the piece (joining of lower part of bumper) I was talking about a real bitch to do this

Here is some pics of how it is joined onto the bumper

I also closed up those two openings on each side of the bumper below is the pic of the rear view of this bumper

The lip I used is a Toyota Cresida Replica which costs about R250

The pics below is how the lip looks on the bumper

The lip does come in two pieces and you need to shorten it abit

This is how I did the join in the front

I welded these together with QBOND

Ok now for the indicators

this is to use those MAZDA 323 ones

http://www.autostyle.co.za/product/1...ondIndicators/

I used my dremel to cut some of the indicator opening off

If you look at the above pic you will notice the original point and where I cut it to extend it (about 2cm)

Here is the rear view

And the finished product is below

And this is what it looks all together = OLD school Prelude PORN :headbang:

how to install the arm rest

hi guys as u know im in the middle of doing a...

hi guys as u know im in the middle of doing a restrotion for the jdm arm rest latly i been gettin pm after pm asking me how to install it.
Well its pretty simple. i have got this console with my jdm arm rest so i just use it instead and took the old one out. theres absoulty no differnece except this came from japan.so dont worry bout the console i just used it just because it came with it!
First u fold the seats front wards. go behind the back seat. take a phillips screw driver and start unscrewnig the scres on both sides lift up and comes off
step 1

step 2 turn upside down the arm rest fold the little carpet up inside the arm rest put the phillps screw driver. through the hole unscrew it all the way. until the screw is at the end of the thread but not off. btw if u dont know wat im talkin bout theres a litlle tab that hooks to the console.little yellow zinc hook i guess that goes under the console toward the top with phillips screw in it.
also the odd lookn triangle piece from the console u can throw away u dont use it anymore. arm rest takes its place!

step 3 this is continue of step 2 align that little hook on the top edge of the console it gets really hard to do it at first cuz the hook wants to slide to the side. this is when u put the screw driver back in . once u got it aligned from the console. start screwing.tight but not to tight it will crack just so its sturdy.

step 4 put ur screws back in at the bottom the onese u took out.

step 5 fold back ur seats and volia there it is. total time 15min because of the annoying little hook on the arm rest

ps this is for every body waitng on the arm rest. hey guys i will have most of arm rest done end of the month, im still looking for a couple of parts i want these to be in almost mint condtion thnx for ur patience

Fuel pressure drop when bogging.

I'll recap my last thread quickly as I'm still...

I'll recap my last thread quickly as I'm still stumped. Again...after the car hits running temperature (1/2 way on temp gauge) it runs like aboluste shit and bogs out.

We replaced the following and it still runs the same:
-Coil, Distributor, Plugs, Grounds

then we swapped out:
-Fuel Pressure Regulator, Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump

We threw a gauge on after the fuel filter and noticed that soon as the bogging happens we drop fuel pressure from 33PSI down to 10-12PSI.

The TPS and (3) different ECU's have been swapped out as well. I'm thinking about two options left now:

1) Hard wire the fuel pump to an onboard switch. You can hear the pump cutout when it bogs so I'm wondering if there is a relay or something else that is heating up and cutting fuel pump out.

or

2) Plumb a second pump. My only question is where is the best place if I were to do this? Do they both run simlutaneous? I know lots of cars run dual pumps to prevent starvation but what would be the ideal setup on this car.

Thanks again guys.

so can anyone out there with a carbed 2 please...

so can anyone out there with a carbed 2 please give me some info on the operation of your wax case?
if you dont know what it is...it is the thing on the left side of the carbs with two larger coolant hoses attached to it and a rod coming out the bottom wich is attached to the choke linkages...
th ereason i ask is i have 4 of them that dont work properly...or as far as i can tell they are not working properly. the purpose of this device is to gradually unload the fast idle "staircase" according to the coolant temp. well i currently have one in the oven(dont tell the wife please he he) and it has only moved the rod on the bottom about 5-6MM at 175F ! this should be almost full temp, wich should have the rod extended all the way out of the case.....
so can anyone check the operation of theirs and tell me how much it is moving according to engine temp?

86 Si Rough ideal after warm up

I just bought this car to build in to a Ucar...

I just bought this car to build in to a Ucar racer. Its a 1986 2.0 FI Si. When I got it the head gasket was blown so I put a new gasket on and put it all back together with no big problems. Ive now got it caged and allmost race ready. I cranked it up yesterday and after it warms up a few seconds it revs from 1500 to almost cutting off over and over. And during warm up it stays at 1500. But if I give it a touch of gas it runs perfect. I took it down the road and it seems to run just fine.

Any ideas what I can do to solve this problem???
Thanks
